Es gibt 1000 gute Gründe nicht bei Mc Donalds zu arbeiten.

Und genau drei dafür:

Es ist der einzige Laden in Wedel, bei dem man sich online bewerben kann und ich hatte echt keine Lust die Stadt nach irgendwelchen ähnlich sinnfreien Jobs zu durchkämmen nur, damit ich nich diese wahnsinnig hässlichen Klamotten tragen muss (btw. NEIN, wir müssen KEINE Hütchen tragen).

Es gibt Kaffe en masse.

Es ist politisch inkorrekt, meine Antifafreunde, Punks und Stricher waren schockiert.

Im übrigen ist es “nicht ganz so schlimm”, wie man es sich vorstellt. Also ja – wenn Leute reinkommen, die man kennt; möchte man sich am liebsten ducken und unter der Theke verstecken und jah, jedes mal, wenn man den Laden betritt und einem dieser Geruch entgegenkommt, möchte man brechen, aber sonst.
Passt.

Kollegen sind spitze, das System an sich ist Idiotensicher, du kannst keine Gläser kaputt machen, nichts umschmeißen oder falsch eingeben.
Das Problem bei MC Donalds sind die Gäste.

Das wäre so der tägiche Wahnsinn. Wirklich witzig wirds abends. Am Samstag.

De Facto lieg das Restaurant in dem ich arbeite in einem Industriegebiet. Blöderweise ist 100 Meter weiter das MAXX. Also das MAXX in Wedel. Persilweiß gekleidete Typen mit goldkettchen behängten Ischen denen die Cheeseburger in Formn von Speckrollen über dem Blinblinggürtel hervorquellen. Volles Programm.
Ich weiß wovon ich rede, ich war einmal drin. Nach 2 Stunden weißt du nicht mehr, ob das eigentlich die ganze Zeit dasselbe Lied oder nur derselbe Beat ist und ob dich seit 3 Stunden ein und derselbe Kerl angräbt oder ob das scholn 10 verschiedene auf die gleiche, dämliche Tour versucht haben.
In letzter Zeit verkleiden sich die Maxxgänger gerne als Alternative und hören Billy Talent, Die Ärzte und Arctic Monkeys.

So.
Indieboy, anfang zwanzig, total dicht steuert meine Kasse an. Guckt mich an,guckt die Kasse an, guckt mich an: “KAAANN ICH SCHOHOON BESTELLEN?!”. redet als wär ich schwerhörig und/oder dement. 5 Hurricanebändchen am Handgelenk, da ist jemand aber ordentlich Scene.
Hässliche Schuhe.
“Nein, aber du kannst die Klappe halten, damit ich die Bestellung fertig machen kann”. Um 23 Uhr hab ich keinen Bock mehr auf Nettsein, vor allem nicht, wenn ich selbst noch weggehen will und die die Bude stürmen was im Umkehrschluss bedeutet, dass ich länger bleiben muss.
Warum? Ich geh Samstag abends auch nicht zum MC. Ich trink Gin Tonic, kein Mensch braucht Cheeseburger.
Außerdem war Reeperbahnfestival. Und ich verpasste grad White Rose Movement.
“MMMH OKAY” Mittlerweile peil ich, dass die Indieschicksen, die mich die ganze Zeit so abfällig anstarren, zu ihm gehören.

Wie ich das hasse.
Da würdest du schwören, dass du die Olle in jeder Diskussion um…so was wie…keine Ahnung,… Demokratieentwicklung und Sonderweg der Türkei so wie ihr (fragwrdiger) Anspruch auf den EU Beitritt in Grund und Boden diskutieren könntest und die erinnert dich an den Ketchup. Irgendwer sollte sie darauf Aufmerksam machen, dass sie einfach nur scheiße aussieht und mit Assis rumhängt und gerade bei MC Donalds isst und wah.
Indietyp steht mittlerweile vorne, ich will ihn schlagen.
Er hält mich scheinbar immer noch für vollkommen stulle, betont jede Silbe. Der Herr möchte einen TS, ein paar Chickenburger blabla, braucht aber 3 Minuten um zu bestellen. Ich frage mich, ob und wenn ja welche Drogen er konsumiert und warte.

Als ich nach 5 Minuten den Burger zum Indieboy bringen will pennt die Hälfte seiner Leute: Eine der Ischen bemalt mit dem Ketchup ihr Tablett. Psychedelische Muster, die sie vermutlich fotografieren und auf ihrem Deviant Art Account hochladen wird.
Keine Ahnung, ich konsumiere Alkohol und Substanzen in Massen, aber um 23 Uhr bin ich nicht mal im Ansatz so zu.
Gabs ein mal, da war Abi fertig, da haben wir um 12 Uhr angefangen und um 01 Uhr lag ich sternhagelvoll und komplett dicht bei uns auf dem Gelände der Katholischen Kirche auf dem Rasen und dachte mir, dass dieser Gotttyp schon ziemlich ok ist.
Ich stell mich also vor die Runde “WER KRIEGT DEN T S?”. Typ will ihn entgegennehmen, Indieboy schreckt aus seinem Schlaf auf, erkennt die Situation und reagiert blitzschnell:

Alright, I’ve had the other MAXX’s before and I adore them. Great smokes, each one, and I’m expecting something similar here. Alec Bradley, in my opinion, has some fantastic blending skills (the Tempus really wowed me) so I’m excited to try this spin-off of the MAXX line.

The cigar smells sweet, like sugar cane. It’s a nice, medium-dark wrapper that has a few very thin veins. Immediately, within the first two puffs, a hazelnut coffee bursts into my mouth. Fantastic flavor, very smooth smoke. A sugar in the front end fades into a cedar-like finish. Destinctive hickory flavor with that sweetness now transfered to the front. In the middle of the first inch or so, a nice pepper comes in to balance this cigar out. Very strong coffee flavors come out after the first inch. Sweet in the smoke. but spicy on the finish. I personally love cigars that have two flavors that balance out like that. The end of the third tastes very much like Mexican chocolate; the cocoa is there, and it’s insanely sweet. The tobacco can be tasted too, and it’s very pleasent all around.  The second third takes on a new tone, and really comes out with strong peat, a very earthy, coffee-like flavor with a bit of spice, and I mean a very subtle hint. The last third is sublimely creamy, like a mocha latte, and incredibly wonderful.

All in all, this was a great cigar, one I will be sure to enjoy again. Try it if you liked the Rocky Patel Fusion MM, or the Nica Libre.

Cnet has made a list of 20 brand names that could and should be shortened, after Radio Shack announced that they’re changing their name to ‘The Shack’, just to make sure that potential customers don’t get tricked into thinking that radios are the only kind of electronics they specialise in. Here’s the new logo:

I love the new logo but the new name just doesn’t strike my fancy. As for the rest of Cnet’s ‘brand names that could be shortened’, well, I just think the entire picture gallery is a waste of time, and there are a lot of pointless ideas expressed throughout. First off is Mozilla Foundation:

Cnet suggests that the new name should be ‘Moz’. What the hell… that’s like calling Firefox ‘Fir’ or Thunderbird ‘Thun’. Pointless… Oh, and Cnet compares the name Mozilla to the name of a cheese…

‘General Mills makes all types of foods like breakfast cereals and baking goods’ says Cnet. But, ‘In the future though, the connotation of mills may not click with generations of white collar workers’. That makes sense but Cnet suggests General Mills should change their name to ‘The General’. Uh… no. Just no.

µTorrent is actually pronounced ‘MuTorrent’, despite lots of users referring to it as ‘YouTorrent’. Cnet reckons ‘Mew’ would sound nice a new name, under the circumstances that it rhymes with ‘new’. Okay…

Wolfram Alpha, the computational knowledge engine, should be shortened to ‘Walpha’, according to Cnet. Heck, why not call it Waffle? After all, Wolfram has longer product named, including Mathematica. And Wathmatica just sounds bad.

Cnet obviously has an obsession with the word ‘The’, because they Walmart to turn into ‘The Mart’. I hope I speak for the world when I say that that idea sucks.

Like I said, Cnet obvioulsy has an obsession with the word ‘the’ because they think, just because Pottery Barn doesn’t sell much pottery and isn’t based in a barn, they should change their name to ‘The Barn’. Then it would just sound like a farmyard.

This is just getting ridiculous. Cnet wants Crate&Barrel to be called ‘The Barrel’.

You guessed it: Cnet thinks The Maxx sounds better than TJ Maxx. Oh, and, this is supposed to be about shortening brand named, not making them longer!

Cnet are just being ridiculous by claiming ‘The DAQ’ sounds better than “NASDAQ’, the latter name of which has a nice little ring to it. Why do they want something as short as NASDAQ to be changed to something so ridiculously lame? Because of the full name: National Association of Securities Dealers Automated Quotations.

I might actually agree that ManHouse (Cnet’s suggestion) would be better than Men’s Wearhouse, if it wasn’t for the clever play on words in ‘wearhouse’. People who are new to America and have no idea what shops sell what will appreciate the fact that this is likely to be a large shop full of men’s clothing. So, sorry Cnet, I still don’t agree with you.

A brokerage firm is bound to boast a posh name, but as of late, Charles Schwab has been playfully nicknamed ‘Chuck’ in adverts/commercials. So, why not just go the full hog and change the name to Chuck? Cnet asks: ‘Is it easier to remember someone’s name, or a one-syllable grunt?’ I agree with that question and I agree that Chuck is a lot better and much more laid back that Charles Schwab. Laid back companies get a lot more attention because consumers can relate easier. Just look at Google and Mozilla – very laid-back, highly successful.

I had to laugh at what Cnet wrote regarding the name Foot Locker. ‘Foot Locker just sounds creepy. Is it a locker full of feet, or a place to lock up your foot?’ Sadly, I disagree with Cnet’s suggestion at ‘The Locker’ being an appropriate new name. Foot Locker tells consumers that the shop sells football gear. The Locker sounds like a security specialist who fits alarms.

Another ‘the’ name from Cnet: ‘The Softy’. Yes, a professional tech news and reviewing website actually suggested in a serious report that Microsoft should change their name to ‘The Softy’. So we’d end up with ‘Softy Windows’, ‘Softy Office’ and ‘SN’ instead of ‘MSN’.

Getting rid of ‘Black’ and leaving us with ‘Berry’ is a good idea, says Cnet. I don’t think so… somehow, ‘Berry Storm’, ‘Berry Bold’ and ‘Berry Pearl’ doesn’t have the same consumer appeal.

Cnet accused Best Buy of not always having the best deals and thus sporting a misnomer for a name. That’s harsh enough to begin with. But going as far as saying that ‘The Buy’ sounds better is downright insulting, not to mention lame.

Labelling a luxury clothing store ‘Banana Republic’ was hardly the right move from square one. At least they didn’t just call it ‘Banana’. Cnet wants them to. Rumour has it that most consumers call it ‘Banana’ anyway, so maybe it’s time for this chain of stores to go for a haircut…

Cnet says: ‘The United Parcel Service is most frequently referred to simply as UPS. That’s easy enough to remember–and so is its color scheme which is brown. Brown trucks, brown uniforms, brown boxes. Even an advertising campaign that simply referred to the company as “brown”‘. Brown is one syllable and UPS is three (unless you pronounce it as a word). The only downside is that it takes longer to write.

Henry and Richard Bloch started this tax-preparation firm as H&R Bloch, but changed the name to Block later on, just to avoid misspellings and mispronunciations. Cnet wants ‘The Block’, but I disagree. Anybody who is anybody deserves to boastfully put their initials in the name of their own company. Henry and Richard are no exceptions.

Starbucks Cofee is so huge there’s really no point in changing the name. Especially not to ‘Bucks’, as Cnet foolishly suggested. It would just cause mass confusion and might lose Starbucks a lot of money if people don’t hear of the name alternation.

Finally…

Cnet rightfully says that Office Depot sells more than just office supplies. But they’re wrong in saying that ‘The Depot’ sound better. People might start getting confused with Home Depot.

Verict

Cnet are bad at picking names and have no imagination whatsoever. All these names are fine as they are, and the only one that should maybe change are UPS and Charles Schwab.

Today someone in Auckland told me that the buses were on strike and that they’d heard nothing about it. This led me to having a look at Maxx website – which is supposed to be the one-stop-shop for public transport information in Auckland – and found no mention of the strike there.

I then had a look at the NZ Bus website: NZ Bus runs the Metrolink, North Star, Waka Pacific and Go West buses in Auckland. It’s the biggest bus company in Auckland, they were affected by the strike, and for some insane reason they run four brands and confuse their passengers by doing so. Anyway, sure enough, there’s a press release on their website which announce the stop work meeting and the disruption of service.

Now get this: the press release is dated 30 July and announces that there will be four-hour stop work meetings on 4 and 6 August, together affecting the vast majority of Auckland’s bus services. The people running the Maxx website had at least 4 days to put the information there but they didn’t. Surely that is a useless public transport information service.

This is what happens when we have monopolistic government services that aren’t accountable to the public in any meaningful way. In a free market the profit motive keeps companies honest because if they treat their customers in the way that Maxx does those customers vote with their wallets and go elsewhere.

Endlich ist es soweit…..ich habe einen Grund einen Artikel zu schreiben! Und der Grund ist noch toller.

MAXX Reloaded 2009! Endlich bald gehts los! Ich sollte langsam mit packen beginnen… Naja erstmal den letzten Schultag hintermich bringen und dann ab aufs Maxx in eine schönere Welt

!!!

I’m going to talk for a little bit about my dog, Maxx. We are currently fostering him for an animal rescue organization (Pet Promise). He came to us after he was found wandering around chasing cars in what was a pretty bad area of town. The woman who found him warned us that he had “possible blinds,” whatever that meant, and said that he was a husky mix.

Well, he doesn’t, and he isn’t. He was born somewhere around 3/1, which makes him almost 4 months old. He is a Great Pyrenees, which, if you know what that means, it means big-ass dog. He weighed 29 pounds at 3 ½ months, and will keep growing until he reaches his full size of 110-130 pounds. Yep, as much as a small woman. He’s gonna be a big boy. He’s amazingly sweet, and gentle and lovable, and I am completely and totally smitten with him. I spend lots of time just snuggling up with him and rubbing his soft fur. It’s funny, I’ve never been a huge dog lover, but he has won me over completely…there’s just something special about him.

He has a congenital eye deformation that occurred while he was still developing in utero. His lens and cornea didn’t properly separate, and so his eyes look cloudy, that way a dog with cataracts does. They are not cataracts, though, and he can see, albeit his vision is probably pretty cloudy. Unfortunately, there is no treatment for this. The bright side is, it will not get worse. He does well, and if it weren’t for the appearance of his eyes, we would never know he had a problem.

I’m in love with a dog, and I’m not afraid to admit it.

Kas oli see nüüd sellel õhtul kui üsna palju (uut) rahvast sisse voolas või juba mingil järgneval nädalavahetusel, aga me otsustasime Ženjaga kained olla. Umbes poole tunni pärast hakkas igav. Nägin, et ka Ženjal huvitavam polnud ning mõlemil liikus mõte ühes suunas: Challenge poker.

Istusime eraldi nurka maha ja hakkasime mängima. Meie esimene väljakutse ei olnud küll eriti heatahtlik nende kolmandate isikute vastu, kelle peal me seda sooritasime, kuid kokkuvõttes polnud viga..

Challenge: Tõmba kelleltki välja üks juuksekarv ilma temalt luba küsimata.

Siis olid esimest korda minu pool ka Triin ning Gerda ja miskipärast otsustasin just Triinu juuste (tegelikul ju kõigest ühe karva) kallale minna. Talle väga see ei meeldinud. Tegelikult üldse ei meeldinud, et ma nii tegin, aga Triinu nimi jäi jällegi väga hästi meelde (ei saa sama öelda kõigi ülejäänu rahva kohta).

Sellel õhtul toimus veel päris palju huvitavaid ja mõneti piinlikke väljakutseid, kuid just sellest õhtust alates kujunesid uued kirglikumad Challenge pokeri mängijad, kes kunagi ei tagane ettepanekust mängida ning enamasti pakuvad ise selle variandi välja.

Meelde tulevad hetkel: Verner, Timo, Gerda, Triin.

Hiljem on oma suurt huvi mängu vastu näidanud ka Madis, Ringo, Silver (nüüd on kuidagi ära vajunud )

Pizza Warmer Maxxx

This is my first post. I’m used to Live journal so this is all a bit new to me. Thougt I’d start off my introducing not only me, but my man of the house “Maxx A Million”. My 9 year old tabby with an attitude. He loves people! But i think he equally loves warm pizza boxes just as much!

En estos días en los que los estudiantes están de exámenes, estos días tan duros para los que estudian y tan angustiosos para los que esperan sus notas no podría faltar el de siempre, el que aprovecha la ocasión (que para algo estamos en crisis).
Os lo cuento tal y como es; resulta que, como ya comente antes, estos días los estudiantes están de exámenes finales. Bien, pues una empresa que se dedica a vender pastillas “energéticas” ha tenido la gran idea de anunciarse justo en una red social para jóvenes como es Tuenti. No se exactamente el tipo de pastillas que serán, pero los anuncios afirman que “disminuye la fatiga y refuerza la agilidad mental”, vamos, que pastillas que te ayudan a seguir despierto para poder estudiar toda la noche.
A mi parecer no creo que sea algo de lo más indicado para anunciar dentro de una red social como es Tuenti (que yo entiendo que de algún sitio tienen que sacar el dinero), pero no me parece lo más correcto que se anuncien aprovechando la ocasión para “enganchar” a los jóvenes a estos “reafirmantes mentales”.

Heute war bei uns auf Arbeit Tag der offenen Tür. Natürlich habe ich einiges an Fotos geschossen die ich aber leider nicht hochladen darf. Ansonsten ging heute eigentlich alles super auf arbeit, nur das  ständig besucher kamen und ich immer wieder alles zeigen musste während meine Kollegen eher nur zu geguckt haben oder mich nach gemacht haben ^^;  Die rache kommt irgendwann XD

Naja jedenfalls davor auf der hinfahrt nach Stendal habe ich noch einige Fotos geschossen im Auto : Kühe ( erinnert mich immer in Harvest Moon), den Mond den man kaum sehen kann auf dem Foto oder unserer Brücke zwischen Stendal und Tangermünde oder quasi auf dem weg. Auf einem der Fotos ist ein Auto, welches mir nicht gehört sondern der Fahrerin die mich heute rum gefahren hat xD.

Oha ich habe mir ein  Akkulade gerät geholt für meine Battierin und woot es sind 4 stück sogar bei XD also ich komme erstmal lange damit aus denke ich. Endlich habe ich zu dem Wasser Maxx eine Flasche Co2 geholt aber nun weiss ich nicht wie mn die einsetzt XDD!!

Naja ich werde ja sehen wenn mir das ding um die ohren fliegt.

W tym roku chłopaki z Chainsaw popełnili bardzo udany krążek pt. Evilution, o czym zresztą można poczytać tutaj.

Jednym z jego autorów jest wokalista Maciej “Maxx” Koczorowski, który w rozmowie ze mną opowiada o motywach umieszczenia albumu za darmo w sieci, o przyszłości zespołu i o swoim wokalu.

Zachęcam do lektury.

Konrad: Przede wszystkim gratuluję świetnego materiału! Trochę na niego czekaliśmy, ale ostatecznie Evilution ujrzało światło dzienne. Kto wpadł na pomysł opublikowania materiału za darmo w sieci?

Maxx: Dzięki! Na pomysł wpadliśmy wspólnie po sukcesie zespołu Ptaky, który również umieścił swój album na muzzo. Warunki od strony prawnej jakie proponowały nam duże wytwórnie były żenujące więc postanowiliśmy zrobić przy pomocy Interia.pl sporo szumu medialnego i podarować album za darmo. Krążki natomiast można nabyć na naszych koncertach i za pośrednictwem naszej www. Nie żałujemy tej decyzji! Kto wie być może jest to początek jakiegos nowego rozdziału?

Konrad: Jak wyglądają plany na przyszłość zespołu? Promocja płyty, koncerty, metalowe festiwale, sława? :>

Maxx: Sławny to jest Kononowicz oraz Grupa Pod Budą, hehe. My, co najwyżej, coraz bardziej rozpoznawalni w metalowym światku, co nas bardzo cieszy. Coraz więcej ciekawych koncertów, festiwali, tras u boku największych tuzów metalu. To jest nagroda za ciężką pracę! Obecnie promujemy Evilution koncertując w Polsce i Czechach, a jesienią zobaczymy, być może będzie trasa, a moze skupimy się nad robieniem kolejnego albumu!

Konrad: Twoich wokali w Chainsaw słuchamy już ponad dekadę. Jak oceniłbyś te z Evilution na tle poprzednich płyt?

Maxx: Na pewno z płyty na płytę sa bardziej dojrzałe… z sesji na sesję nagrywam je coraz szybciej i coraz sprawniej. Jest to zasługa chóru w którym ćwiczę wokale, emisję itd. Nie da się ukryć, że są też ostrzejsze niż na poprzednich płytach, hehe, ale spokojnie, potrafię jeszcze czysto i wysoko zaspiewać!

Konrad: Jesteś różnorodnym wokalistą. Od kogo czerpiesz główne inspiracje? W jaki sposób dbasz by Twój wokal nie stracił siły?

Maxx: Hm… nie ćwiczę, ale sporo śpiewam, różnorodność wokali jakie z siebie wydobywam w zespołach czy chórze powoduje, że spektrum moich możliwości jest coraz szersze, że nie męczę się, nie zdzieram strun… no i regularnie badam gardło. Wszystko jest na miejscu jak powinno! Inspiruje mnie życie codzienne i muzyka zewsząd docierająca do moich uszu…

Konrad: Co mógłbyś powiedzieć o kondycji polskiego thrash metalu?

Maxx: Nie śledzę kondycji polskich zespołów… każdy robi to co najlepej potrafi i chwała im za to!

Jak najwięcej takiego Chainsaw! Maxxowi dziękuję za poświęcony czas.

All his life WK has been a collector. Some would call him a packrat… that’s too simple. 

He would be fascinated with a lone, discarded rusty bolt or busted ballpoint pen he found in a shopping mall parking lot and I would later find it as I sorted through jeans pockets while doing laundry. Forget trying to chuck it, the boy would proclaim that he had to keep it… he needed it.

Whenever I get the chance to do a full assault cleaning of his room I’ll remove multiple trash bags filled with debris that he ‘just had to have,’ but which had no discernible purpose other than to take up valuable space in his already bulging-at-the-seams room.

As he’s gotten older, WK is not as frantic about collecting these little pieces of treasure, but will still bring home castoffs that other people would probably throw away without a single look back. 

When he called me this weekend while out with his crew, telling me he was bringing home something a little bigger than a rusty bolt, I wasn’t surprised. What did surprise me is that over the last couple of days it became clear that this was no ordinary bit of fluff, this was one item in his collection that I too wanted to keep.

Meet Scruffy…  2¼ pounds of black lint. WK brought her home Friday evening, having found her mud-caked and flea-ridden in a wooded area in a nearby neighborhood. Over the weekend he lovingly bathed her, combed bugs out of her scraggly kitten hair, fed her and taught her how to use a litter box. She slept in a small travel kennel next to his pillow at night, or snuggled neatly in the hollow of his neck.

Pollo, to say the least is pissed off about this interloper invading her kingdom, interfering with her boy/cat relationship. She’s been hissing and growling, and showing us how hurt her feelings are by ignoring us. She won’t sit with anyone, just stands to the side pouting, spitting hair when we try to pet her. Sibling rivalry at its best. 

Maxx and Hershey have been attentive, but not overly so. As when we brought Po home, Maxx has taken on the role of Mom and will place herself between us and the kitten, like she’s guarding the baby. It’s sweet.

Looks like we’ll be taking her to our family vet to get her checked out and started on her vaccinations, officially naming her on the medical records. 

I even think Hubs is coming around.
