Some exciting news from MEB! This morning I was treated to a sneak preview of something totally new from MariaElena Barbosa: a hat with hair. As far as I know, this is Maria’s first venture into either piece, and she has blended them beautifully. The hat will be available in a variety of patterns; here I am shown wearing “Blue Crossy.” The hair is totally awesome. A few naughty wisps of hair escape from the hat and fall across the face. In the back is a nice thick braid. The braid is off the back enough that it won’t disappear into your shoulder each time you turn your head. Maria doesn’t settle for a simple scrunchy, either; the braid is tied with a pony tail holder, which sports a gorgeous onyx stone set in silver. Pure class! Julia should be available soon.

MEB’s winter catalog features some very cozy warm ensembles. Last Sunday I attended a show which debuted these lovely releases. There is “Aspen,” with the cuddly white turtle neck, a short-sleeve wool jacket and skirt; “Club 55″ (which I saw Laura18 Streeter wearing last evening) with it’s terribly sexy leather jacket; and the alluring “Salsa” dress, just to name a few. Oh, and let’s not forget that MariaElena Barbosa released “Red Carpet” in grey! It is well worth picking up the winter catalog, or dropping by the store to see the collection.

But what is really warming my heart right now is a new coat from MEB called “Foggy.” The blue and white fabric is both eye-catching and classy, and the length of the coat gives just the right cute-sexy look.  Although I’m shown wearing pantyhose from Insolence, “Foggy” would also look great with bare legs or over a pair of jeans or black dress pants.  But what really makes the outfit are the matching boots and belt.  Those ivory boots with the knit tops are just too adorable for words.  I don’t think I’m going to be able to take them off anytime soon!  And the matching belt with the gold buckle and black stone tie the whole ensemble together.  Score another one for MEB.

I don’t know if Melusina Parkin had in mind the chilly fog rolling in through the Golden Gate when she gave “Foggy” to this California girl.  But whether I’m bundled up for winter, or wrapped up against the legendary summer fog of San Francisco, I’ll be in top style, wearing MEB’s “Foggy!”

L’autunno sta per finire, in SL già si freme per l’arrivo dell’inverno e delle feste, piovono annunci da ogni parte, tra festival, new releases, party a tema la mia impressione è che questo sia il periodo dell’anno più vitale per il mondo virtuale.

Prima però di accantonare per sempre il novembre del 2009 voglio fare una rapida carrellata di alcune cosette con cui sono andata in giro, ringraziando come al solito gli stilisti che mi permettono di essere così fashion (buhabhuabuha).

I am still on this kick about what to wear to keep warm. There are dozens of beautiful winter-themed sims all over the grid and it looks mighty silly if you show up in a bikini or a fairy costume. So here is some more winter goodness.

The scenario is that I am out on the plains of the Midwest, fighting off the brisk wind rolling over the flatlands off the Rockies. This puffy parka from AIR Winx is a clever mix of sculpty prims, flexi furry prims, and system pieces with an ingenious satiny quilted texture. The thing looks real, folks.. all I can say. And it’s VERY warm. And it has that nice airy squishy feeling that is so delish. The jacket comes with a striped gray and black sweater underneath—but you don’t have to wear it.

Casual jeans from Kaejo DaSilva (thanks, KK) work with this outfit. (KK is very scrupulous about her wardrobe—whatever doesn’t work gets trashed immediately. She has had these jeans a while and loves them. I can see why.) I plopped earmuffs from Antonia Marat on my head—she didn’t have purple but white matches all and since when do YOUR earmuffs always match your jacket?

A beautiful luscious skin from Hart Larsson makes me a winter beauty with its fresh glowing tan and well drawn eyebrows. (Really.. it’s about the eyebrows.. it really REALLY is.) A short cute hairstyle, pinned back, from Truth Hawks, tops this fresh air look.

I once lived in this part of the fair Midwest, in a state where people spent an inordinate amount of time talking about their boots. “Like your boots… where’dya get ‘em… They sure look warm.” These boots from MariaElena Barbosa would do well in that wintery clime, mud-spattered and scuffed from good old-fashioned hard work. These are for girls who know how to pitch hay.

AK Parti Van Milletvekili Kerem Altun’un teklifi, komisyonda CHP ve MHP’li üyeler tarafından da desteklendi.

Milletvekillerinin çeşitli sorularına yanıt veren Milli Eğitim Bakanı Nimet Çubukçu, Milli Eğitim Bakanlığında hizmetlerin 724 bin personelle yürütülmeye çalışıldığını kaydetti.

Eğitim alanının her zaman yeni ihtiyaçlarla ve öğretmen alımlarıyla gündeme geldiğini belirten Çubukçu, bugün talep edilen 10 bin kadronun büyük bir bölümünün illerden gelen ihtiyaçlar doğrultusunda planlanacağını söyledi.

İllerde açık olan öğretmen sayılarının, eşit, objektif ve adil bir şekilde belirleneceğini ve hangi alanlarda ne atamalar yapılacağının kısa bir süre içerisinde saptanacağını belirten Çubukçu, sözleşmeli öğretmenlerin kadroya alınması konusunda da çalışmaların devam ettiğini bildirdi.

Çubukçu, sözleşmeli öğretmen ataması yapılması konusunun, okul öncesi eğitimde çalışan usta öğretici personelin derslerde bulunamayacağına ilişkin Danıştay kararından sonra mecburen başvurulan bir yöntem olduğunu ifade etti.

‘Sözleşmeli öğretmenlerin de bu kadroya başvurmasıyla kadro gerçek manada 10 bin olmayacaktır’ denildiğini anımsatan Çubukçu, ‘Sonuçları itibariyle bu mümkün elbette. Ama şu anda sözleşmeli olarak çalışan öğretmenlerimizin kadrolu öğretmen atamalarına başvurmalarının yasaklanması hem eşitlik kuralına hem Anayasa’ya aykırılık teşkil eder. Dolayısıyla biz böyle bir uygulama yapsaydık onların yargıya gitme yolu vardı, sonucunda da kazanırlardı.’

Kabul edilen teklif, Milli Eğitim Bakanlığının (MEB) Teşkilat ve Görevleri Hakkında Kanuna geçici madde eklenmesini öngörüyor.

Teklifle, MEB’e tahsis edilen serbest öğretmen kadrolarından boş bulunan 10 bin öğretmen kadrosuna, 2009 Yılı Merkezi Yönetim Bütçesi uyarınca verilen atama yetkisi dışında, 31 Aralık 2009 tarihine kadar atama yapılmasını içeriyor.

Teklifin gerekçesinde, 2009 Yılı Merkezi Yönetim Bütçe Kanunu gereğince 2009 yılı için Bakanlığa kullanım izni verilen kadroların tamamının kullanıldığı belirtildi ve MEB’e tahsil edilen sözleşmeli öğretmen pozisyonlarına da Ağustos ve Eylül aylarında görevlendirme yapıldığı ifade edildi.

there are still some outfits I put toghether for you after my shopping tour. This one is spicy, comfortable, but still has an elegant look. And…its red , and, what may be the best, you don#t have to spend a fortune for this style!!

As I am not a lover of real fur, but do like the look, I absolutely fell in love with this wonderful faux fur jacket. From the different available colors, i decided to get the red one, thinking about matching it with my red bax boots. Simone has a lot of nic and really reasonable clothes, you really should have a look there!! Matching the Simone faux fur jacket, my eyes fell on a turtleneck at Simone in a nice rust tone. I just added a simple black jeans from coco and a simple leather belt from Maitreya, which is in a faded red and rounded my look. Looking for a hairstyle to go with it, I remembered the sale at Truth and got this great style for little money. Some simple , but fantastic crafted gold studs from gems & kisses as the icing on the cake and I feel great dressed for an autumn day, or even an early winters days, bringing some color into the grey days and matching the red falling leaves, this season brings us. I hope you liked my outfit tip and I would highly recommend to check out these stores!

after a loooong shopping trip (and an empty credit card), i finally came home with lots of great clothes and accessoires. This trip really was a great success and when I arrived at home and had a look at all these bagd, I couldn’t even remember what is inside. What the heck is in THAT bag? So i started to get all the wonderful clothes out one by one and the first outfit i put together was this:

Oh yes, it’s casual again…you know why? I forgot to buy some food…I am really addicted, am I *LOL*. So i dressed up for the quick jump in the grocery store around the corner (I dont know, hut these kind of shopping trips always take less time…I know why…groceries don’t need to be worn and inspected in the mirror . My choice fell on a simple and classy, realistic crafted knit pullover from AOHARU and a slink pant from LeLutka (comes with a nice waistband, that I replaced with a leather belt from MEB. Against the cold I put on a beige thrill clay jacket from mimikri (I LOVE this shop!! quality is always fantastic, prims are nice to adjust and resize..what more can a fashionista wish for???, and finally, my brand newfuzzy boots in beige with black buckle straps. OMG…this looks great…a quick grab in my jewelry box for the really greant and decent Esotic love set from gems & kisses and I was ready to go. Uhmmm….what was I to go for?? Ah yes I remember…food..LOL..so let me run to the grocery before the shop closes, even fashionistas need something to eat here and there.

I fell in love with MariaElena Barbosa’s designs the first time I walked into her store, about a year ago.  I was taken with her creative use of colors – quite an eye-opener for me, the girl who tends toward simple combinations that give dramatic effects.  Maria’s eye popping designs get your attention, but wait until you get your clothes home and try them on.  That’s when you see the amazing detail and realism of what you just purchased.

Maria’s clothes run from urban grunge to dressy casual.  (She even has a few pieces that make for chic business wear.)  As one of her fans, I have wistfully wondered what she could produce if she ever turned her creative energy to formal wear.  Well, now I know.

Melusina Parkin sent me “Red Carpet,” and let me tell you, it is everything I dreamed of, and more!  I can best describe this deep passionate red gown (Rouge) as rich, plush, and elegant.  When you wrap this stunning gown around yourself, you are just going to melt with pleasure.  The bodice leaves you with a bare left shoulder, and the back, with its asymmetric cut, will make you stop and take a second look.  The detail of the folds of the silk skirt, both front and back, will set your little heart to pattering!  Melusina tells me that the gown will be available in grey with the winter releases.

Almost everybody-New Yorkers-were running their ass off yesterday for the ING New York city Marathon.I did pass on this one, sweating aint cute.Edward Norton brought his massai warriors friends from Kenya,Core Booker and his new BFF mayor Bloomberg were out and about.Pop to see more pictures.

Meb Keflezighi has won the Men’s New York Marathon which was run this Sunday, 1st of November 2009. At a time when the Marathon circuit is completely dominated by African athletes, Meb’s victory has come as a pleasant news for the host nation whose Alberto Salazar won the New York Marathon way back in 1982. Alberto Salazar won 3 straight New York Marathons in 1980, 1981 and 1982.

This was the first major Marathon title for the 34 year old American athlete who won the silver medal in Olympics 2004. He was close to winning the Marathon title in 2004 and 2005 when he stood 2nd and 3rd.

Meb completed the Marathon in 2 hours, 9 minutes and 15 seconds ahead of 4-time Boston Marathon winner Robert Cheruiyot of Kenya who stood 2nd and Jaouad Gharib of Morocco who stood 3rd. Another American, Ryan Hall stood 4th.

Keflezighi, who was born in the East African Nation of Eritrea received US Citizenship in 1998. 2 years ago, Meb suffered severe dehydration which threatened of ending his athletics career. However, he recovered with time and got back to training hard again and finally brought glory to his country by winning this Sunday.

The Women’s New York Marathon was won by Derartu Tulu of Ethiopia followed by Russia’s 41 year old Ludmila Petrova who stood 2nd.

In the Wheeler Races, 3-time defending champion Kurt Fearnley of Australia won the race for the 4th time. Edith Hunkeler of Switzerland won her fifth title in the Women’s Wheeler Race.

Congrats to Meb Keflezighi!!! First US winner of the race since 1982…..
