as they say – all good things must come to an end…
though, not without an appearance by AJ’s Mustache!

* in reference to the title: My Dad was so cute in trying to teach almost-3-year-old Sophie a new Spanish word every day. One day was “AGUA”, another was “YUCCA Plant” (which completely made Soph crack up!)… One of the days, he asked her a question and she said, “Grandpa, I don’t know EVERY Spanish Word!”… too cute!

Mark and I had obviously not yet adjusted to the change in time zones and woke up at 5:30AM. He looked out the window and said, “I bet we could catch the sunrise at the beach.” So we quickly got dressed and set out on a very long walk to the far end of the marina. We climbed over some rocks and found the perfect spot for pictures, and we had made it just in time.

After our early morning we decided to take the day and just hang out at the beach. Rather than fighting the rough waves and getting off and on the boat to get married at Lover’s/Divorce Beach like we were thinking, instead we opted to wait until tomorrow and find a spot on our way to Todos Santos.

After yet another very long walk to the beach which included a stop at the grocery store and then observing someone washing his bare ass beside the police station, we made it to The Office. The Office is a beach-side bar/restaurant; the scene is basically spring break, and the food is rather pricey compared to other similar Cabo options. It was very tasty though, especially the salad-filled avocados (we had one tuna, one shrimp).

After lunch we laid on the beach a while and did a little swimming in the ocean (Medano Beach was much calmer than Lover’s Beach), and Mark and Lindsey went jet skiing.

We went back to the hotel, took a tip in the pool and then got ready for dinner. We had heard so many people raving about La Fonda that we wanted to try it. I don’t even want to go into all the details because our dinner turned out to be the only disappointment of the entire week. The food wasn’t bad, but wasn’t nearly as good as we were expecting. I think everyone else’s was above average, but my shrimp torta was served on very stale bread that was practically inedible. The service was what really ruined it though, absolutely horrible.

So with that meal behind us, we walked back to The Bungalows and went to bed, looking forward to another yummy breakfast in the AM.
