Listening to Music is a beautiful way to energize your body, mind and soul; it often spread a feeling of contentment in the listener’s unstable state of mind. You can play your favorite musical CD’s/DVD’s on Portable DVD players, laptops or can also have low cost I-Pods, all in according to your financial plans.

Portable DVD Player

To create your own CD from Windows 7 Media Player, Follow these steps:

1. With Windows 7, you can create your own CDs with your favorite tracks. Nowadays, you burn a CD, which means that you copy files to the CD. To create a list of tracks to burn, click the Burn tab in Media Player to display the pane on the right side of Media Player.

2. Now insert a blank recordable CD into the CD drive. You can buy blank CDs at an office supply or electronics store. CD-Rs are good for music.

3. To show the tracks that you want to copy to a CD, click a playlist or music category.

4. Now, drag and drop a track, an album or a playlist into the burn list. To rearrange the tracks, drag them up and down in the burn list.

5. To delete a track from the burn list, right-click and select Remove from List. To start over from scratch, click Clear List.

6. The number of minutes in the selected tracks is shown in the burn list which is next to Disc 1. A CD can hold about 75 minutes of audio. A bar graph and numbers shows how many minutes are free of the total available memory.

If you select more audio files that will fit on one CD, Windows 7 Media Player automatically starts a list for a second disc below the first. You need to remove one or more tracks from the list if you want to burn only one disc.

7. Now click the Start Burn button on the Command Bar when you’re ready to create a CD.

8. The burn progress bar is shown at the top of the Burn list. Let the burn complete before you go on to other tasks. If the disc doesn’t automatically come out you need to push the button on the tray or right-click over the CD title and click Eject. Now close the Burn pane by clicking the Burn tab.

The disc will be unusable if you don’t let the burn complete but you can click the Cancel Burn button to stop mid-burn.

View Pictures in Media Player

Media Player displays more types of media than just music. To view pictures in Windows 7 Media Player, You need to click Pictures in the Navigation pane on the left.

Using Media Player, you can

Make new playlists of pictures with or without music.

Listen to music and look at pictures at the same time.

Copy or burn pictures to CD.

Sync pictures to a media player or an digital MP3 player that also has a screen for pictures, such as a  Microsoft Zune.

The 1.0~beta2 version of Bangarang has been released.

This latest beta includes several bugfixes and improvements including graceful degradation when nepomuk is not available, genre support for video as well as music and new media lists for frequently played, recently played and highest rated media.

This is a beta release so there are bugs. (I’m hoping the kitten-eating has been reduced a bit – puppies are still fair game though).  See the release notes for more info on bugfixes, improvements and known issues.

Testers can download the latest bangarang release from opendesktop.org.  Report any issues you encounter on the issue tracker.  It makes it a lot easier for me to keep my head on straight.

I also need to get some snowboarding in this week (it’s been dumping in the Cascades!). Then we’re heading over the mountains to Leavenworth, WA with a couple of friends for the weekend.  Looking forward to the break!

I had noticed that the Windows 7 Media Player is a bit more temperamental than the version on XP.

It has always given me this vibe that it was tethering on a knife edge … ready to crash.

Well today I was playing around trying to edit artist’s name, genre etc. Then I closed it. Did something else.

Went back to start it. IT WOULD NOT START.

Had to restart Windows 7.

Hmmmmmmm!

On the whole, I can’t really say I am thrilled with Windows 7. Today was a particularly bad day.

This was a slower shift . A few check ins/outs. I put together the display on the wall for Veteran’s day. Feel free to add anything you think would improve the display. I did some research on media players and installed one on the pod mac computer but I am not sure it will be up to pace with what we would like it to do. If you know of any players that will run on an older machine with lower specs then holla at cha boy and let me know.

wmp è sempre + pesante, si blocca e blocca il pc! per non parlare di quando lo si minimizza sulla barra start! io ultimamente nn riesco più a utilizzarlo!
quindi mi sono rotto e l’ho rimpiazzato!

per i video ho istallato l’ottimo e leggerissimo VLC che apre tutto e senza problemi anzi se hai un divx o file video danneggiato prova a sistemarlo (per me è stata una salvezza+di una volta!)

per la musica invece vi consiglio MusikCube

un programmetto facile facile. lo installi, scegli il layout più semplice,
poi apri dal menù File la cartella musica e ti organizza lui la vita! meglio di un IPod!

scegli in base all’artisa all’album etc… ti fai le play list etc..
inoltre Udite Udite: quando lo abbassi sulla barra lui si mette nella tray e nn rompe, lasciando spazio visivo e virtuale per le finestre aperte! infatti è talmente leggero da non intreferire neanche se hai un miliardo di programmi in esecuzione!

Well, I decided to move my blog over to wordpress, eventually my ‘real’ website will have wordpress, so I might as well not delay it. I kind of miss blogger. wordpress doesn’t allow you to change anything, and it’s kind of freaking slow. The neat Yahoo media player won’t work here, sadly, because again, wordpress won’t let me put one script in. Oh well. It looks kind of nice? I was going to try and change all the orange to blue, but I guess I’ll stick with orange.

I didn’t do anything very interesting today, besides some retarded Guitar Rig+trancegate stuff, but that’s pretty normal, anyways. I tried recording a video tutorial today, but I can’t talk and use FL Studio at the same time, so I guess I’ll try narrating it after recording the screen next time. I’ve been eating a lot of grilled cheese sandwiches, lately, kind of like in The Sims.

In my quest to find a suitable way to embed audio files in this blog, I thought that soundclick would be the best way. Blogger told me that I could upload video and image files, but not audio, and that I’d have to find somewhere else and probably pay out the nose to host my audio files, and that it hated me for suggesting it. You probably didn’t notice that the soundclick player got totally frugged up in the feed,
which sucked, and totally screwed it up with huge white spaces all over the place. Frick.

Today I came across 4shared.com, and quickly registered/signed in with my GooglePass whatever thing. I guess all of Google’s little friends aren’t entirely aware of each other, or Blogger would probably have shown me this. Aaand it looks like I’ll be able to stream audio from it. Hopefully this will show streaming audio in the feed, and my blog will pretty much be a podcast, or whatever they call those things.
Actually, they won’t let me link directly to the mp3 files, and embedding them slows everything down, sooo I’ll keep looking. Maybe Ripway.com will work. Okay,
Ripway.com and the yahoo media player works pretty good. I should probably just find some free hosting site to put this on, but that sort of thing falls under the “I’ll do it later when I actually have money.” category.
