I was irked the other day when it took seven bouncing phone calls to get my insurance to cover the Abilify. They were insisting I could have risperdol or Seroquel and having had a bad experience with both, I flat out refused and said I’d just learn to live with the paranoia.

The psych nurse came thru in the end, and got it approved for a year. Then I went to pick up my (SEVEN) medications.

Holy fucking cow.

Now I get why the insurance didn’t want to pay. I knew Abilify would be pricy but really? SIX HUNDRED DOLLARS FOR 30 PILLS????

Maybe that company needs to take their own pills cos they are obviously bloody well psychotic.

Cripes, I don’t even think I am worth that much money every month. It better do wonders for the paranoia, otherwise I’m not on board with it.

I am also not on board, never am, with the zombie-esque effects of med increases or starting new meds. I feel like I am walking around caught in cobwebs. I slept ten hours last night, and I am still a frigging zombie. It better not last or one more reason I will NOT be with the program.

This week I have been homicidally angry, suicidally depressed, hypsersexually manic, and today, blah and lethargic and spaced out.

Yippee.

The joy of med adjustments.

Anyway..I’m at the shop and the “boss” (ha ha ha, calling a subby like R the boss makes me snicker) will be back soon, supposedly bringing me a bottle of “Kinky” vodka as payment for my assistance. It tastes like really tart vodka laced fruit punch. I need a break from cake.

Hmm, didn’t mean to rhyme that.

Wish me luck, I am on a roller coaster and the Joker is at the helm, so for all I know, the damn ride will be upside down and going in reverse tomorrow.
