Often just that in there, but that’s besides the point. Small and simple.

Summer. I didn’t see it coming. My butterflies knew he was near. The night I met him, I had made up my mind not to go out that night. My sister ended up changing my mind. She begged me to come out with her and her boyfriend to a party. I’m a stayhome kinda gal. House parties just weren’t me anymore but I decided to go anyway. We stopped at her boyfriends and there he was. In a fiery red tee blue jeans and I forget what footwear but I know it was stylish. He was already tipsy and had no plans for the night. My sister apparently knew him well. She asked if he wanted to come and he did.

All four of us hopped in the cab. He sat next to me. My thigh brushing up against his. I imagined him kissing me. He was his usual self. Cracking jokes with the cabby. He was just so charismatic. His cologne was subtle and sooo good.

We arrived at the party and just as I thought there were teens just dancing. Typical hood house party. Underage drinking and drugs. I felt out of place and wanted to leave, but he kept me there. My sister then tells me he had just broken up with his girl and one of her friends was there. She gave me a nasty look. It looked like he and I were together. I kinda liked the look on her face. She didn’t know me and already was making assumptions. And me? I like to give them something to talk about.

The attraction was instant and undeniable. He asked me to dance. After that he didn’t let go. Not once. At one point the heat was so intense I thought I would explode. I turned and gave him my back while dancing he kissed my neck. So I grabbed his face and kissed him with such passion I forgot where we were. I forgot who we were with. I forgot everything and all that mattered wad that he was kissing me with as much passion as I was. We barely said a word to eachother before that. I didn’t even remember his name. But that was the beginning of the hottest summer ever.

Damn how I wish I could relive that moment once more.

So, where do I start?  There is so much about this person that I can say but I don’t want to say it all at once… My fingers would fall off from typing all the inane and moronic things she has done and said.

First, I suppose I could tell you a little about me and who I am and what gives me the right to judge this ignorant waste of flesh.  I was her partner… I was her manager… I was her boyfriend and fuck toy… I was such an idiot for so long because I was blinded by my cock and its desire to fuck anything with a heartbeat.  I’ve grown up since then, but still… I was an idiot.

Yes, I’ll admit… I looked past all of her flaws because I was stuck on stupid.  When I first met this chick I was recently single and “on the rebound”.  In some ways I couldn’t help myself because my cock was so recently deprived of the privilege of sliding in and out of my last girlfriend and my mind was desperately reaching out for anyone that would show me that I was worth the effort.

Unfortunately… Out of all the women in the world I could have met and had fun with… I found Calliste.  I met her on a dating website called collarme.com for people who were into BDSM.  She listed herself as a submissive and at that time my crotch needed a girl who was willing to submit to my overwhelming sex drive so I sent her a message and we met shortly after her first response at the Chili’s near the place I was staying at.

We met, had dinner and some conversation.  I was so fucking horny that my brain didn’t catch a single one of the warning signs that were being thrown at me.  I looked past the fact that her smile included a giant gap in her two front teeth and that one of those teeth was chipped (from being slapped around by her father I suspect… more on that later).  I looked past the fact that she had what I can only refer to as fur on her face because “she was greek”… anyways… I looked past the fact that the conversation was missing some form of intelligent exchange, but I digress.

We went back to her place and fucked.  We fucked like wild animals and to my surprise… she never asked me to wear a condom… FUCK ME!!!  Another warning sign I ignored because my crotch had more control over me than my mind.  Lucky for both of us neither one of us caught anything from each other.

At the end of our first fuck fest she gave me a ride back to my friend’s home where I was still recovering from my last relationship.  He tried to caution me on the perils of dating too soon after a hard break up like the one I had endured but I ignored him and saw Calliste again, and again…

It wasn’t more than a few visits with Calliste when she popped out with a personal request.  She needed me to stay at her apartment to “guard” her stuff while she went to Greece to visit the “homeland”.  I thought about it for about half a second and said I would do it no problem.  I thought to myself “Why not, it will be better than taking up space in my friend’s house.  It’ll give me a chance to give them a break from me always being there.”

Next thing I know she is on a plane to Greece to visit some guy she met on the internet, stay at his house and fuck him and then return back to me.  This wasn’t really a problem for me at the time since I considered myself to be open-minded and a swinger of sorts.  The interesting part is not that she flew to Greece and stayed there for a couple weeks and fucked some guy she barely knew.  The interesting part is that she was spending the last bit of money from her insurance settlement that she received from a car accident she was in before I met her.

While she was gone we exchanged tons of text messages and emails… Gawd I wish I still had copies of those… I can only imagine the spelling mistakes and the poor use of grammar that I overlooked.  She lured me in and made me feel like we were a couple.  It wasn’t until we broke up recently and I took a good long hard look at our relationship that I realized what was happening.

She was running out of money from her insurance settlement, her career as a massage therapist was on hold because she couldn’t or wouldn’t get a license (she BARELY passed the course) and her career as a model had not really taken off yet (ahh another post my friends just wait), and she refused to get a full-time job to cover our expenses.  At that time I had a full-time job and was supporting myself and paying for everything myself.  I was such a moron and my cock was in charge so I fell for it.

She invited me to come live with her and I agreed because I was still a pussy craved moron at the time.  She used me to get her bills paid and keep food on the table.  Sure, she had the occasional photo shoot because she was working with a few small time local producers but the truth is that most of the money spent on rent, food and bills was coming from my wallet.

It wasn’t very long before I realized what was happening in the financial district of our relationship.  I knew that she was basically using me to get the bills paid because she didn’t want to have to work.  I realized that she had gone into modeling because she wanted the easy way out and standing there pretending like you are pretty is damned easy work.  ~any models out there that wish to disagree should spend 8-10 hours a day building a house, hefting lumber and swinging a hammer… then you will know what real work is and you will realize that  you actually have it really fucking easy.

Anyways, since she was “a model” and was willing to do adult orientated work, I figured that she would be a success at working on webcam making money while men chat with her.  I introduced her to Niteflirt.com since someone I knew had made a living off of it before.  The income potential was amazing… all she had to do was chat with boys, show off her body and rake in the dough… I couldn’t have been more wrong.

Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:

As Paul is praying for the saints at Colosse he is giving thanks to God for them because of their faith in Christ Jesus and love for the saints.  But he desired for them to be filled the knowledge and understanding of his will for them that they make walk worthy doing the good works that God has for them to do.  Then he gives thanks to God because he has made us meet or able to be partakers of the inheritance.  We will all have a part and share a portion of the inheritance that God has for us.  As God is possessor of heaven and earth He is going to give us a portion of His possession.  I would propose that the inheritance that we will receive will have to do with our position of authority in glory.  Paul tells us that we will share an inheritance of the “saints in light” and our position of authority will bring glory to God because He is the one that gave us these positions.  I believe that in eternity, the creation will see the glory of Christ through us as we let the life of Christ shine in us.  Our inheritance doesn’t exalt us but instead the inheritance that God gave us will bring glory to Him.

Who I’d like to meet:

I’d really like to meet the big guy with the master plan behind this whole deal we call life, so I can ask him just what the hell he thinks he’s doing…

So here I am, wondering whatever happened to good old paper advertising, cold calling and knocking on peoples doors to sell a product or a service! I remember the days when you bought a whole set of Encyclopedias right there and then!
And I’m not even that old! In my 42 yrs, things have changed so much and at such a pace that I find it very hard to keep up with all the new developments since I have not been exposed to it enough! I really and truly wished that I’d rather chose a career in technology.
But then again, I’m not really complaining! In my journey to find my place in life as an entrepreneur, I get to meet so many dynamic people. People that have so much knowledge to share. And every now and again I get to pat myself on my shoulder that I had the guts to quit my job, move out of my comfort zone and spread my wings.
Things are so much easier nowadays. Thanks to the Internet! We Tweet, we Meet and we Social until death do us part. Facebook made it possible for my family to see my life in the US and I even got “fans” Woohoo!
And I am in the very privileged position to be a member of Meet up Rock Stars http://www.rockstarmediallc.com/ I get to meet great people! Life is gooood!

Off out to my first meet at Romiley Camera Club (Part of the Cheshire & Lancashire Photographic Union) tonight as part of my plans to take part in more Photography meets and photo walks going in to 2010.  I have met some of its members previously but this will my first meet at their main meeting location.

Tonight the meet is called Digital AV, now what exactly this will entail I am not sure but am guessing it will be about Digital Stills & Video/Audio combined like you would use to create a photo slide show for say youtube.

I am looking forward to tonight and my week off work.

As he is producing his first movie and needed to convince Carice to take part of it, Carice is taking a risk by playing in ‘Komt een vrouw bij de dokter’. In the end (ain’t it a beautiful Disney story) it worked out well and ticket sales are going great.

Are you friends with the writers of enduring works? Then you have accepted that your friends are dead and that you will never have the chance to meet them.

Every time I fly I think to myself… this time this great girl will sit next to me, we’ll hit it off, exchange numbers, meet some other time and boom… we’ll start going out!

Sure, sounds easy enough except it never happens… and when you do sit next to someone your age (or close), that’s funny and nice she’s usually travelling to meet her boyfriend or lives nowhere close to where you live!

Does this ever happen? Is this even less likely than playing the lottery? Or am I so lame that I think this is really an easy and zero effort opportunity so that’s really what I’m looking for?

I don’t know… it still hasn’t happened to me but I’m still at my family’s so I have a flight home soon… wish me luck!

I first came across Eleanor’s music about a month ago after hearing about her on the Urban Outfitters blog. After listening to her song, “Belgium,” I was hooked and haven’t stopped listening to it! I was amazed when she found my blog so I asked her if she would be interested in doing an interview. Let me just say that Eleanor is one talented lady. She was also super excited to do this interview

Q: Eleanor, how old are you and where are you from? Plus, I have to know. Is Eleanor Seabird your real name?!

Eleanor: I’m 22 years old, and I’m originally from America! I still like to call London my hometown as it is the first place I finally feel able to call my home.  No, Eleanor Seabird is not my real name, it actually came from my old landlord/friend who was in the music business briefly and we were driving along and I was trying to come up with a stage name and I wanted to be Eleanor SEBERG after Jean Seberg my favourite actress and Sandy thought I said SEABIRD and was like, “Genius! Eleanor Seabird is great!” And I never corrected him. It might not be the name on my birth certificate, but Eleanor Seabird is a real person it’s who I am and who I’ve always been.

Q: When did you first begin singing and was it just for fun or could you see this as a possible career?

E: I began singing when I was four. I started off with Elton John cassette tapes and a little walkman and then did talent shows with my kid sister (we’d sing gruesome versions of the Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen songs) then when I was about 17, my aunt took me to this music group and I would sing Wham! Songs at the mall to people. I didn’t take it seriously till I moved to London and felt like I had nothing to lose, so now I’m embarking on a proper career.

Q: Who are you usually compared to? And do you think that this person and you are alike?

E: Looks wise, people say I have this Karen O thing going on, and music wise it’s a combination of Karen O and Lily Allen, both of whom I love so I take it as a compliment.

Q: What is your favorite song to cover?

E: ANYTHING by Hall and Oates. I end my sets with a killer acoustic version of MANEATER and we want to do a Hall and Oates show of just their songs. They are so much fun to sing!

Q: Who were your influences growing up?

E: BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN! He was and is one of my heroes. I really loved Elton John, AC/DC, Genesis, the Police, a lot of classic rock growing up as I think I was in a state of rebellion coming from a conservative home so anything loud that made me feel like I was going to get the heck out of dodge had an impact on me. As I got to my late teens’ early 20s when I moved to London I became seduced by French pop of the 1960s and fell madly in love with Jacques Brel. He is, to me, such an amazing vocalist and performer. I really hope as an artist to be as captivating as he was/is.

Q: If you could collaborate with anyone, who would it be?

E: Jacques Brel, Dizzie Rascal, or Bruce Springsteen.

Q: What influenced your relocation to London from America?

E: Because I left the states to pursue a better life for myself I don’t have too many good memories but I will say the ones that mean the most are the ones with me and my radio. I always found solstice in listening to music. I think now as an adult and coming back to the states on different terms I’m looking forward to meeting people who love music, who are passionate about life, and to be able to see the parts of the country I haven’t seen, such as Seattle. I think growing up in a small town you’re just not inclined to travel so I’d only go to places where I had relatives, we never really could afford to travel much so even though I’m from America I’ve met Europeans who have seen more of it than I have.

Q: Describe to me the London music scene.

E: The London music scene is vast. Music is on every night of the week, and there is sooo much of it. That’s what’s great about London, it’s really chaotic and multi-cultural and the music capital of the world and any and everything goes here. I will say it’s cool to be a artist here as it does feel like a community and you go out to support your peers and they come out to support you and there are some big faces around so it’s cool to bump into some bands you really like and get the chance to strike up a conversation.

Q: What is a typical day for Eleanor Seabird?

E: This question makes me laugh as I know people expect a musician to have this lifestyle, but I’m quite boring to be honest. I eat breakfast at the same café every morning, I’m usually writing and recording throughout the day and at meetings with different people I want to collaborate with, and in the nights I’m either rehearsing or checking my Myspace and then off to bed. I had someone ask me where all the great nightclubs are in London and I couldn’t name ANY! I prefer films, art galleries, photography exhibits in my spare time. And of course going to gigs to see friends play or  a really great band I like.  It’s pretty standard.

Q: What has been most challenging for you as a musician?

E: I think taking the criticism. I have people tell me I’m crap or that my music is shit to my face and because I put a lot of myself and my life into my work, it’s hard not to take it personally. I have those moments where I’m ready to quit sometimes…….. it’s not a life for the faint of heart especially when trying to make a living doing it.

Q: At the end of the day, what makes it all worth it for you?

E: This! When people want to interview me or chat with me because they really enjoy what I do and want to learn more about who I am. It’s cool to know that there are people out there willing to give me a chance and come on this journey with me because I’m still unknown, but hopefully I’ll drum up support along the way. I really love to play and put on a good show for people and I’m glad that more people believe in me and my work than don’t so the fans and friends who believe in me make it worthwhile and it makes me want to really succeed!

Q: What are you listening to these days and who would you suggest my readers start listening to, besides you of course!

E: Oh there are a few suggestions: I really like this band called the Dark Room Notes based out of  Dublin, Ellie Goulding is great, The Temper Trap, The XX,  The Big Pink are great and put on a wicked show,  Pelle Carlberg is an indie guy from Sweden who’s great,  Dizzie Rascal is a rapper from London who I quite think is fun, and Mayer Hawthorne is cool! He’s like Amy Winehouse, but a bloke!

Q: Where can we expect to see you next Eleanor?

E: I’m starting up a show on my YouTube channel ELEAVISION called ELEANOR GOES where I go on little adventures. It’s not a reality show, though if I did a reality show I’d call it THE BILLS because that’s wherein my drama unfolds.  Me a telephone and the lady on the other line. LOL  It’s just a little documentary style show where I go off and do stuff. My first one is ICE SKATING and then I’m going to Norway to find this red phone booth I have an obsession with. Apparently phone booths are on the historical society’s list to preserve in Norway or so my Norwegian mates tell me. So going to go on a safari and try to capture them in their habitat before they disappear.  Good times……….
