Effective October 7: Intergroup is moving to a new meeting place.

Join us at the Washington Mutual bank office at the corner of Carpinteria Avenue and Casitas Pass Road in Carpinteria. It is across the street from the middle school. Look for the clock tower and the ATM, and you’ll see the door. It’s on the side of the building, facing Casitas Pass.

The meeting takes place monthly, on the first Tuesday, at 7:30PM.

The Thursday 12:30 meeting is now permanently in the classroom in the building closest to Bristol Road. 

(It is no longer in Fisher Hall, nor Emily Hall.)

From Main St, head EAST on Loma Vista

First traffic light is Brent, 2nd light is HILLMONT. Turn LEFT onto Hillmont

Turn RIGHT at the first driveway on your right
Continue straight after the stop sign. You’re approaching the front of the Medical Center – Continue left in front of the Medical Center. (Don’t go into their front entrance drive)

Turn right into the first driveway, then an immediate right again, into the Parking area. Park anywhere marked for Visitors.

Head over to Med Ctr building, through double glass doors (with a blue “stripe” thing over the doors).

Enter the double doors, and walk straight down the hallway.
After about 50 feet, turn right, down a hallway (Glass at the end of it).
Walk towards the glass, and you’ll see the elevator and the stairs that go down to the Cafeteria.
Once you are downstairs, head towards the Cafeteria, through those double glass doors.
Inside the Cafeteria, make an immediate left, into the opaque, etched glass doors. That is the meeting room!

The Intergroup meeting didn’t take place last night 10.02.2007, because a quorum was not met. So the annual election of officers for the service board will presumably take place at the next Intergroup meeting, 7:30PM on the first Tuesday in November. Please see the meeting list for the address.

The Santa Barbara Sunday night meeting is now at 6:00 in the Chapel of the Unity Church, instead of the Brides’ Room. And parking is no longer limited to a particular parking lot. For complete information, please click Intervoice | Find Meetings, above.

The Thursday Camarillo meeting, which used to start at 5:30, now begins at 5:45.

Other info on this meeting remains the same.

A new meeting will start January 18, 6:30pm, at the First Congregational Church, at State and Padre.  (2101 State Street.) 

That’s the same place as the Friday night speaker meeting, but it’s across the hall from the Fireplace Room where that meeting is held. 

The focus of the new meeting is “Voices of Recovery, and The Tools.”

I’ve been informed that the Tuesday 5:30 meeting, at the Seventh Day Adventist Church, has folded.

This change will be reflected on the March – April issue of Intervoice.

Reminder:  Intergroup is tomorrow night, January 9, 7:30pm.  It’s held at the Carpinteria Boys and Girls Club in Carpinteria. For more information, see the meeting list.

The Sunday night Santa Barbara meeting has moved, effective immediately, to the Unity Church, 227 E. Arrellaga Street, in the Bride’s Room. The new meeting time is 6:00-7:00 p.m.

We need to park in the church lot on Valerio Street (corner of Valerio and Santa Barbara streets). We can also park on the street. The church has asked that we NOT park in their Arrellaga Street lot.

To get to the Bride’s Room, go through the Chapel doors and turn right. Walk up the stairs to the Bride’s Room. Signs will be posted.

The meeting is still a Big Book Study.

The meeting needs a small suitcase with wheels to transport the Big Books and meeting materials. If anyone has one, they can call Peggy at 563-4711. Thanks!

Due to conflict with the New Years holiday, the January meeting of Intergroup will take place a week later than usual.
