Aquí estoy, posteando cosas en la noche por que no tengo nada mejor que hacer. Leyendo todas las cosas nuevas del blog y viendo que el blog tiene ahora un toque femenino, me hizo pensar ¿Por que cuando una mujer juega videojuegos es sexy? Y ¿Por que cuando un hombre juega VG es un teto, nerdo, freak y todos esos estereotipos?.

No soy el único hombre que está en contra de estos pensamientos. Hace ya unos años nacieron muchos, pero MUCHOS crews de Girl Gamers, niñas con talento y habilidades groovies para juegos de video, pero sobre todo estaban bien… “guapas”.

Molestos y tristes por nuestras panzas de gamers (Edit by Sama: Spook tiene una panza taaaaaaaaaaaaaan enorme XD por cierto… es sarcasmo, en ONS estamos bien sabrosos), causadas por comer mucha pizza en esas tipicas reuniones como los HALOTONES y las Rock Band Parties, nos sentamos a sólo pensar una cosa “por qué?!”.

Ahí es donde entran mis señores y los suyos, los hombres de MEGA64, a darnos un poco de esperanza, nos dicen que podemos ser hombres, gamers… y claro, sexies. Crean el ALL GUYZ GAMING LEAGUE, Sexy64, con una sola misión: hacernos sentir bien con nuestro cuerpo, sentirnos sexies al tener un wiimote o dualshock en nuestras grasosas manos.

There are a lot of video game sites out there, some good and some…not so good. Rather then having to sift through all of them this recurring feature on “The Terminal Moment” goes through all them so you don’t have to. Hopefully showing you some things you haven’t seen or at the very least reminding you of things you may have forgotten.

Angry Video Game Nerd

James Rolfe has been around the internet since 2004, part critic, part ranter “The Angry Video Game Nerd” trolls through his video game archive finding the worst games possible and reviewing them. His reviews mix extreme profanity and slapstick humor (which is usually hit or miss) as well as a genuine informative  style for video game consoles gone by. Out of all the comedy reviews I’d rate him the highest if only for the fact that regardless of how over the top his reviews end up there is always a goldmine of retro gaming knowledge included from information about past consoles to the history behind the game/franchise he’s currently playing.

Mega 64

Mega 64 is best described as video game jokes meets Jackass. The show revolves around the Mega 64 gang performing video game stunts in front of a confused public. As the show has gone on it’s earned a name for itself amongst video game journalists and developers resulting in guest appearences from both Shigeru Miyamoto, Cliff Bleszinski and Hideo Kojima as well as contributing advertisments to both Spike TV and various video game companies.

ScrewAttacks : Video Game Vault

ScrewAttacks Video Game Vault is a tough thing to sell, for all intesive purposes ScrewAttack isn’t a that great site. Sure it mixes humor and timely updates but for a lot of stuff it falls flat, like a more juvenile IGN. Where it shines though is in it’s Video Game Vault, a humourous look back at games of yesteryear. Sometimes funny and informative it at the very least shows up some games you may have long forgotten.

Zero Punctuation

Zero Punctuation is best described as a video game fan boy in desperate need of Ritalin. While  ”The Angry Video Game Nerd” focuses on the difficult and bad design choices of games fellow game critic Ben “Yahtzee” Croshaw focuses on a constant hatred of everything. Taking the whole crazy critic character to an extreme “Yahtzee” focuses on an intense hatred of  all things video games (other then those he likes) and continues to rip apart in a speedy a voice as possible. Whether you enjoy Zero Punctuation or not usually falls into the category of how   ironic you like your reviews and how angry you get at video games.

Mega 64 has a number of video shorts where they act out video games. I found the Oregon Trail video the most engaging due to my absolutely huge nostalgia hard-on for the game. Somehow the game designers convinced teachers the game was educational, and so we were allowed to play it at school. I would often play to see how quickly I could kill my whole party, and I think my major takeaway from the game was the definition of dysentery.

Para quem não entendeu a justificativa deles, os caras gravaram um video com o Kojima há pouquinho tempo atrás e isso é tudo que eu posso falar ser spoilear o ótimo video que vale a pena ser conferido:

Hola en esta ocasion les traemos de vuelta una seccion olvidada, en Internet existen muchas paginas o blogs que son buenisimos, existen paginas como Vida Extra, Pixel & Dixel, La revista Multimedia Meristation, Game Trailers, The World Went Away entre otras muchisimas mas, en esta ocasion encontre una pagina que parodia a los juegos del momento llamada Mega 64, hay veces que son tantas las paginas que muchas veces no nos percatamos de ellas, pues ahora en “Lo mejor de la web” disfruten de esta parodia de uno de los juegos mas esperados para estas navidades.

Hideo Kojima is one of my favorite people ever.

Este video es muy similar al de Mario Bros, pero tiene un final muy chingón (Pinche Kojima) y mejor aún una aparición de un invitado sorpresa. Todo este vídeo fue grabado en la ultima GDC, al igual que el que grabaron con Miyamoto.

Quantas vezes nós já fizemos referência aos fantásticos vídeos do Mega64? No entanto,fazia um tempinho que não aparecia um vídeo bom dos caras, daqueles que fizeram a gente rir como a imitação do Altair de Assassin’s Creed ou o fotógrafo de Dead Rising. Isso foi até hoje, quando o Prandoni me passou o novo vídeo dos rapazes.

A paródia da vez é em relação ao Elite Beat Agents, jogo exclusivo para DS em que o jogador controla três agentes especiais que ajudam as pessoas através da dança. É um jogo musical onde você precisa acertar as marcações para ter sucesso (receita de jogo musical). Pra quem ficou curioso, abaixo a cena original que foi parodiada:

¿Qué decir de estos reyes del humor mundialmente conocidos por todo el globo dentro del panorama videojueguil que no se haya dicho ya? ¿Qué aún no los conoces? ¡Pues ya estás tardando en ir a visitar su web y partirte de risa con las frikadas que han llegado a realizar!
