First of all, I have to say this is ever so humbling. Just being amongst such wonderful people, such a wonderful industry. Firstly, I’d like to thank the Academy for recognizing our son’s amazing work, Warner Bros. and Christopher Nolan in particular, for allowing Heath the creative license to develop and explore this crazy Joker character. To Steve Alexander, Heath’s mentor, special friend and agent for 10 years. We love you, Steve. 

This award tonight would’ve humbly validated Heath’s quiet determination to be truly accepted by you all here, his peers, within an industry he so loved. Thank you. 

Sally Bell:
Heath was such a compassionate and generous soul who added so much excitement and inspiration to our lives. We have been truly overwhelmed by the honor and respect being bestowed upon him with this award. Tonight, we are choosing to celebrate and be happy for what he has achieved. 

Kate Ledger: 
Heath, we both knew what you had created in the Joker was extraordinarily special and had even talked about being here on this very day. We really wish you were, but we proudly accept this award on behalf of your beautiful Matilda. Thank you.

Estamos de vuelta, tras una breve pausa se ha hecho entrega del premio al mejor actor de reparto de la mano de Cuba Gooding Jr, Alan Arkin, Christopher Walken y Kevin Kline.

Ha sido un momento conmovedor, no tanto por el discurso de sus padres y hermana como ver los ojos llorosos de muchos actores y actrices, como Seann Penn o Angelina Jolie. Casi se me saltan las lágrimas, pobre Heath…

Me alegro que le dieran el Oscar, pero ojalá lo hubiese ganado en vida, tendría mucho más valor

Y bueno Tras un video de introducción, Will Smith hace su aparición para presentar el premio a mejores efectos visuales, y lo hace ascendiendo directamente desde una plataforma bajo el suelo.   Francamente, me he sentido muy decepcionada con la respuesta. Por muy bien que se haya plasmado el físico de Bard Pitt no tien comparación con los trabajos ni de Batman ni de Iron Man… Me ha parecido horrible pero bueno…

¿Quién quieres que gane el Oscar?

Y los nominados son…

El globo de oro que Heath Ledger ganó por su trabajo como el Joker en The Dark Knight, se lo darán a su hija Matilda Rose, que tiene tres años; según contó la madre de Heath, Sally Bell. Al respecto ella dijo:

“Creo que a fin de cuentas el premio será para Matilda” Aparte, también contó que al enterarse soltó unas lágrimas, aunque creo que muchos de nosotros igualmente lo hicimos.
“Es un legado fantástico y estupendo para su hija. Matilda encontrará mucha gente que podrán hablarle de las cualidades de su padre y del respecto con el cual contó de la industria del cine”, comentó la madre.

El premio fue recogido por el director de The Dark Knight, Christopher Nolan, en los Golden Globe Awards.

Yo creo que Heath también ganará el Óscar como Mejor Actor de Reparto.
