Το νεο dvd των Dark Tranquillity βγήκε και όπως ήταν αναμενόμενο γαμεί και δέρνει. Οι dt δείχνουν επί σκηνής γιατί είναι η μακροβιότερη μπάντα από το Gotenburg και γιατί οι οπαδοί τους δεν τους εγκατέλειψαν ποτέ. Το συγκρότημα επί σκηνής τα σπάει (όπως και στο προηγούμενο dvd-”Live Damage”) και το κοινό ανταποκρίνεται αντιστοίχως (σε αντίθεση με το προηγούμενο dvd-”Live Damage”). Το setlist του “Where Death Is Most Alive” εννοείται πως περιέχει τα κλασικά on-stage κομμάτια των dt όπως τα: Therein, Punish My Heaven, Final Resistance, The Treason Wall κ.τ.λ. αλλά είχε και για πρώτη φορά το The Mundane And The Magic. Η κοπέλα που είχαν για τα ντουέτα ήταν πάρα πολύ καλή (και πάρα πολύ ωραία).

Τώρα για το δεύτερο dvd της εν λόγω κυκλοφορίας. Το documentary για τη μπάντα είναι αρκετά ενδιαφέρον, πλήρες και η μεταφορά του στην οθόνη πολύ πετυχημένη. Τα promo videos είναι ό,τι περιμένει κανείς, τα promo videos. Όμως αυτό που κυριολεκτικά τα σπάει είναι το live archive που περιέχει live υλικό της μπάντας από το 1991 (σαπίλα) μέχρι και σήμερα.

Γενικά η σκηνοθεσία και η παραγωγή τόσο του live όσο και του documentary είναι πάρα μα πάρα πολύ καλές. Ok, όσοι είχαν δει το dvd των Nevermore ίσως να περίμεναν άλλη μία εκπληκτική dvd παραγωγή της Century Media.

we all know sonic syndicate is god awful, but this video is pretty funny. all i’m getting from the story is that monster energy has partnered up with nuclear blast to destroy some metropolitan city in greenscreenboro. veteran field reporter antonia kobylinski does little to explain it any further than that. by the way, this director is currently working on europe’s new video. yes, “the final countdown” europe’s new video. i hate to type so much about this, but what the fuck is going on in sweden? burn this country.

Loud, confident and unbelievably catchy, Futures have rousing riffs mixed with killer hooks, the result – a mixture of sugar-sweet, pop-infused rock.

Perhaps falling into the now tainted ‘emo’ category, these guys outshine some of their competitors. Melodic, well-rehearsed and polished Futures manage to impress. Boy Who Cried Wolf sees Futures at their best, with their unique slice of powerful pop-infused rock, which is identifiable as their ‘sound.’
