In the past when the asbestos mineral fiber has been widely used in a wide range of products, rangin

In the past when the asbestos mineral fiber has been widely used in a wide range of products, ranging from construction, insulation, textiles. Prized for its exceptional heat resistance, flexibility and durability, asbestos has been very popular in many areas. Only at the end of the 20th century, causing the connection between asbestos and cancer of the lung and cause cancer came to light. Companies that used asbestos in their products or places of work, suddenly found themselvesthe target of numerous complaints on behalf of sick or deceased workers and consumers filed.

From that moment, the handling of asbestos is highly regulated, research, and should be reformed. Even the detailed procedures for the removal of asbestos have been established to protect public health. Despite these reforms, however, yet to asbestos – especially in older buildings and products, if you take it with them, how much of a health risk, as decades ago. ManyHomeowners are concerned, with good reason, about asbestos in the home.

Find Asbestos

Asbestos is very difficult for the average person to be identified. In most cases the only way to house the presence of asbestos on its own by searching for product documentation in the form of tags, labels to identify, and the like. If you suspect that a product may contain asbestos, but can not find all the relevantDocumentation, consider calling a professional to take a look.

Dealing with the dangers of asbestos

The health risk of asbestos is a result of air microscopic asbestos fibers inhaled or ingested. In an inert state, or certainly present in other materials, asbestos is usually harmless. For this reason, owners are faced with asbestos in the home, ask some questions before deciding on a course ofAction. First, asbestos, products containing damaged or impaired in any way? If the answer is yes, immediate steps should be taken, such as asbestos fibers already the case in air. In the absence of visible damage to examine the location and type of product or material. It is a place where people are more likely to come into contact with or damaged? If the product is fragile and / or old? If so, can also be a good idea to remove them in the interest ofSecurity.

Call the professionals

When a product containing asbestos, endangering the health of residents, must be removed or repaired as soon as possible. This is a task for professionals. The attempt to solve the problem without adequate training and tools is probably more harm than good, leaving more than asbestos in the air. Do not risk the safety of everyone around you and not try to work themselves – there is a trained professional dofor you.

As we mention the top watch manufacturers, most of you may instantly consider Rolex and Omega. While both of them are high-ranked brands in the watch industry, I have no intention to introduce them here. Instead, it’s about Baume & Mercier, the traditional Swiss watchmaking company since 1830. Though not having extremely great brand value like Rolex, it still dedicates for nicely crafted timepieces. The 2009 New William Baume Collection is not an exception.

Inspired by a single-button chronograph introduced in 1938, the new limited edition inherits from the modern design of William Baume series, and pays tribute to the traditional craftsmanship. Four models are included in the collection. Each of them has its own historical origins, and is marked unique serial number.

Take a good look at these classic watches. In a 41mm wide 18k rose gold case, the watch has a simple but elegant dial as well as gold hands and hour markers. There are some smaller Roman numerals on the dial, which make the time easily recognize. Bracelet is made from alligator leather, available in dark coffee or black colors. The most impressive detail is, through the large transparent sapphire crystal on back of the watch, you can easily see the operation of the mechanical movement. To be honest, I specially like the model with extraordinary tourbillion at the position of 9 o’ clock and small second hand at 6 o’ clock. I would really love to add one piece to my collection. If you like the line, just let these fashionable, simple and elegant replica watches fully reveal your unique characters.

With excellent craftsmanship and elegant style, Baume & Mercier watches have get great value in Swiss watchmaking. Exactly like the new ilea line by Baume & Mercier, which is a treat for every woman’s sense is the symbol of femininity and elegance. Recently, the brand released a new jewelry watch, continuing the voluptuous charm of the traditional ilea.

Diamonds and steel, polished surface, the new ilea is just the perfect combination of precise function and innovative design. It is an extremely great gem-set version. Set with 970 diamonds on the bezel against the high quality PVD platinum casing, it is absolutely the ultimate expression of luxury and the perfect timepiece for sophisticated women. The sharp sparkle appears extremely eye-catching in contrast to the black frame. Compared with the classic 30mm ilea case, the new one was enlarged to 34mm, allowing the inclusion of self-winding mechanical movement. Daintily sculpted at the 3, 6, 9, 12 o’ clock, the bezel features an harmonious look with the embellishment of chic diamonds. Besides, the scratch-resistant sapphire crystal and 30 meters watch resistance function just reflect the quality for which Baume Mercier is best known.

Baume & Mercier watches are represented by some of the most well known Hollywood celebrities of our time. The new ilea one is not an exception. You see, nowadays, more and more brand tend to pay more attention to the creation of jewelry watches. If you want to keep up with current fashion trend, just combine the top watches making and jewelry craftsmanship with such a dazzling item.

Mercier-Wimberg Photography is a still life studio located in the historic Helms Bakery Building, Culver City, California. Mark Mercier and Jim Wimberg have been business partners for over 20 years, which has brought them experience, professionalism, and an impressive list of clients; Mercedes, Sony, and Starbucks to name a few.

In talking about the work, Mercier states, “Shooting from the soul is the key.” Business partner Wimberg adds, “The image we create for our client has to sing. That’s what keeps them coming back.”

Their client list reads like a who’s who of American and International companies. Big or small, the same approach is taken to achieving the appropriate look and feel on all assignments. Some of the clients Mark and Jim have worked with include: adidas, Black & Decker, Canon, DKNY, Directv, Epson, Hilton, Honda, Infiniti, Intel, Ketel One, Mattel, Mercedes, Nestlé, Neutrogena, Qualcomm, Sanyo, simplehuman, Sony, Sprint, Starbucks and more.

Both Mercier and Wimberg enjoy the arts outside of their Still Life Studio. Mark Mercier has been an instructor at the Academy of Art University for the past 15 years, as well as is an active musician, a bass player for local Los Angeles Bands. Jim Wimberg pursues a Fine Art Photography path outside the studio, and is represented by a local Los Angeles gallery.

In all honesty, I thought Kazanjian would be re-elected. Kudos to the citizens of Lowell for kickin

In all honesty, I thought Kazanjian would be re-elected. Kudos to the citizens of Lowell for kicking him out along with Regina Fatcianti. Even if the new councilors do absolutely nothing in the next two years, the council is improved simply by subtraction. In the wake of the election, there are some clear cut winners and losers…

Bernie Lynch: Winner. If Kazanjian, Lenzi, Mercier, Mercier, and Caufield stayed in power there was no way his contract would have been extended.

John Cox: Loser. His influence is fading fast.

TJ McCarthy: Loser. Was going to be the next city manager.

Chris Scott: Winner. A stronger mandate with enemy #1 out.

Bill Taupier, Nick Sarris, George Berhakis: Losers. Fatcianti, Kazanjian, A. Mercier, Lenzi means less of a chance that these dirt bags getting a reprieve from the school committee leaving the Bon Marche.

One Lowell, Move Forward Lowell: Winners. Accomplished it’s core goal in changing the balance of power.

Kendall Wallace & Lowell Sun: Losers. Little influence over the election. Bad predictions. Irrelevant.

Lowell Shallot, Mr. Mill City, Left in Lowell: Winners. People actually read these things and having other sources of news and opinion is valuable in a one (douchey) paper town.

Rita Mercier: Loser. She’s made her dislike for Lynch obvious. Now she’s in the minority with Bud.

Hairy Balls and rest of the state delegation: Losers. Endorsing Kazanjian in the 11th hour?! Dumb.

Good Olde Boys (GOBs): Losers. Blowellians are part of the solution, not the problem. The more that the old gaurd is pushed aside the better.

Citizens of Lowell: Winners*. A step in the right direction and hope to change the petty insider politics of Lowell. *Beware of Lynch and a vacuum of power from the city council. Remember, Lynch is a politician looking out for his best interest. He has his own cronies, favorites, and ambitions beyond Lowell.

1. Alan Kazanjian: There is no end to the craziness surrounding this guy. I heard that Lynne promised to move if he’s elected again.

2. Rita Mercier: Bat crazy.

3. Bud Caufield: What other mayor gets hammered and sings?

4. Jim Millinazo: He’s a GOB in sheep’s clothing. Poor little Jimmy is just not part of the ‘in’ crowd right now. I’m looking forward to people’s reaction when he turns to the dark side.

5. Dayne Lamb (write-in): She’ll use her superior intellect to tear each of these douchebags a new asshole and fix EVERYTHING in Lowell.

So, long story for this one. I have been pining for a fixed gear for over a year now, and no matter

So, long story for this one. I have been pining for a fixed gear for over a year now, and no matter how much I seemed to save, something always came up.

I ended up tooling around on a $200 Diamondback MB for a year as my main mode of transportation. I beat the crap out of it; by the time I got this fella, both of the DB’s wheels were bent.

This bike has a little bit of history. Chelsea bought this Mercier Kilo TT online, and ordered a 50cm frame. Turns out, bikesdirect.com measures to the center of the top bar, not the top (as is customary in the local shops). The bike comes in, and Chelsea takes it straight to Track Shack to get a custom, “Mighty Aphrodite” purple paint job.

The bike comes back, gets assembled, and… it’s too big. But just about perfect for me.

So after another 6 weeks of saving, I bought her a 44cm Mercier and took the 50 for myself.

HOWEVER. It’s purple.

This last weekend, here’s how we remedied that little problem:

I opened the door and the flood of fall apple aroma was unbelievable. Back in those days, the building was a barely enclosed shed with a gravel parking lot outside and I was on a vacation to North Georgia with Mom and Dad. Mom loved this place. They had apples I had never heard of which are now staples at Whole Foods. Fuji. Mutzu. Pink Lady. Arkansas Blacks that were so hard they had to ripen for weeks before you could even cut them open to reveal their bright yellow interior.

Still family operated, the orchard can be tourista-heaven on fall Saturdays. We like putting together a basket of unusual varietals. Then we promptly forgetting their names.

They have unfiltered homemade cider, apple bread and fried pies.
