Nicklas Bendtner has put his famous pink football boots up for auction on eBay.

Bendtner was amongst a select few Nike endorsed footballers who wore the Mercurial Vapor Berry football boot when it was launched at the back end of last year. Unfortunately for the big Dane, it also coincided with an inconsistent run of form, which led to a number of pundits mocking Bendtner’s choice of footwear.

In fairness to Bendtner he didn’t make a big thing of the media attention has since got his head down and is performing well both for Arsenal and Denmark.

He is now using the notoriety of the pink football boots for good cause and is auctioning off a pair of match worn Vapor Berry football boots in aid of the Danish charity cycling team, Team Rynkeby, which supports a Danish fund for children with cancer.

Bendtner wore the football boots when he scored in the Champions League match between Arsenal and Dynamo Kiev at the Emirates Stadium in London on November 25, 2008.

El extremo luso será el primer jugador en estrenar el nuevo modelo y probar las nuevas tecnologías que incorporan las Nike Mercurial Vapor Superfly. Veremos si le sirven para tener otro año excelso en cuanto a éxitos se refiere.

El ‘7′ del United sustituye a Franck Ribery-última imagen de la firma en lo que a modelos de botas se refiere- como icono publicitario. El jugador más mediático del mundo probará las tres nuevas incorporaciones tecnológicas que incluye el modelo. Las zapatillas incluyen la tecnología Flywire,  una innovación, creada para el atletismo y estrenada en los pasados Juegos Olímpicos de Pekín, que otorga una mayor ligereza al jugador.El nuevo modelo de Nike está cubierto con una capa de fibra de carbono, para darle una mayor sensación de libertad al jugador. A parte, las Mercurial Vapor Superfly innovan con un nuevo tipo de tacos. Veremos cúal es el efecto de estas innovaciones en el mundo del fútbol. Como siempre, Nike un paso por delante.

Since I lost my macbook pro my life has danced to the beat of a different drummer.

I finally got a job. It pays good and the hours are plenty. I feel really confident there and cant wait to try all the food we sell. It will be a while before that happens. I work at a gourmet burger place. We also have a lot of salads and different sandwiches. Like, salmon, buffalo, veggie, turkey, and ostrich. I can’t wait to try them all, i just cant stop eating our cheddar bacon burgers. One of my favorite parts of working there is opening. That means I get to bake cookies, brownies, and rice krispy treats. They are delicious.

I join my first post-high school church group. Through bible college i felt like the whole experience was a small group. We even had chapel everyday. Some students joined young adult groups at local churches, but I shied away from them. I felt uncomfortable. Christians are very good critiques of each other, especially bible students. I am working at being more honest with myself and others without breathing judgement.

I’ve also joined a frat house indoor soccer team and a church league volleyball team. The two couldn’t be anymore opposite. I really enjoy them both. My body has definitely taken a bit of a beating too. Soccer has always given me a ton of knocks and bruises but my knees are giving me a hard time. I love diving after the volleyball. I don’t really want to wear knee pads because they look so uncomfortable and super goofy. What I don’t look goof in, is my new boots! I got Nike Mercurial Vapor IV’s. I’ve had II’s and III’s through high school soccer and loved them a ton. My III’s finally tore this winter after two years. Definitely time to get some new beauties!

Two weeks ago I did my United States Soccer Federation Referee re-certification clinic. It was the longest four hours I have had to sit through in a long time. I passed my test with a 92%. It was probably my first A on a test since high school, I hope not, but its possible. This weekend Ill be back on the field with a wistle. Something I had no intention of doing again. I have decided to go back because I can make a weeks worth of pay in two days of part time work. Think of it as the most annoying $25 an hour job you can have. You have to overcome poor weather, shouting coaches, terrible parents, and those 22 potential criminals. I am excited to see if i have become a better referee. I have learned a lot more about the game since the last time i put on the uniform. Its always in a referee’s best interest to learn and understand more.

I have mostly wrote about my daily social changes in my life. There have been even more going on inside my head than I will allow myself to write. I try not to make this a place of releasing fears and relationship worries. Its hard to not want to write about them. I am doing my best to live without those I care about the most. Its dang hard. I’m sure you have been in the same situation before. I can’t move on. I just keep my head high and stay active.

El pasado mes de Noviembre Nike presentó unas nuevas  botas de fútbol, las Mercurial Vapor IV de edición limitada. Un lanzamiento tan exclusivo que se prevé que se pongan a la venta alrededor de un centenar de botas solamente en toda España. Pero a diferencia de todas las demás, estas botas de fútbol tienen una característica en especial, y es que su mayor atractivo es su color, en concreto el color rosa, si ya lo habéis leído bien, el rosa y que le da un toque bastante divertido y poco visto en los campos de fútbol.
Y para acompañar a este lanzamiento tan “Fashion”, la marca Nike a publicado un video promocional donde aparece el jugador del Bayern de Munich, Franck Ribery rememorando a uno de los grandes clásicos como lo es la Pantera Rosa y acompañado por la música de Henry Mancini.

Para terminar, destacar que jugadores como Franck Ribéry, Ben Arfa, Milan Baros, Materazzi, Amauri y Marcelo llevarán esta nueva moda a los terrenos de juego.

La empresa estadounidense Nike es una de las factorias dedicadas al deporte más importantes. Su aportación a la moda deportiva es incalculable. Hasta hace alrededor de 25 años, Nike no era una potencia mundial. La historia de la firma y, sobre todo, del marketing, cambió con Michael Jordan. El escolta estadounidense firmó con la marca un contrato desechando a las poderosas Converse y Adidas. El mejor deportista de todos los tiempos dio todo a la compañia, y la firma se lo agradeció dandole una marca propia y un contrato vitalicio. Nike cambió la moda en la NBA gracias a Mike, pero también a sus grandes ideas. Hasta hace 20 años, la NBA no permitía el uso de zapatillas que no fueran blancas. Nike creo entonces un modelo Jordan en negras. Michael, pese a las multas, se las puso, obligando así a la NBA a que cambiara la ley en los años siguientes.

Ahora Nike va a revolucionar el fútbol. La firma americana tiene ligados a ellas a muchos de los mejores jugadores del planeta: Cristiano Ronaldo, Torres, Ronaldinho, Ribery,… Es este último el encargado de publicitar las nuevas Nike Mercurial Vapor rosas. Las botas rosas serán lucidas por más jugadores, repartidos en las grandes ligas como Marcelo, Arshavin, Lazovic,… Queda claro que las botas van a destacar y la campaña publicitaria que llevan le va a dar mucho dinero a Nike.

Personally I just bought the Moleskin Plus Padding yesterday… but I have doubts about how well it will stick to the heel of the shoe… (I am planning to use that instead of the other two heel liners because it is much softer)  If it doesn’t work out, then I will get the regular heel liners, most likely the grey one.

Other than heel liners, try vaseline on your cleats, your socks, and your whole foot.  AND tape your foot!  Then hopefully after like 10 games, the shoes will be completely broken in!

Le verdict a sonné … L’opposition entre les deux géants Adidas et Nike pour le monopole sur l’équipe de France à donné son vainqueur ! C’est l’américain qui aura le bénéfice (?) d’équiper l’équipe de France de 2011 à 2018. A défaut d’être champions du monde ( ben oui, fatalement, “Campioni del Mondo Siamo Noi” ) de football, les Bleus décrochent tout de même le record du contrat le plus cher entre une équipe nationale et un équipementier. En effet, les chiffres sont évalués à 320 millions pour 7 saisons, ajouter à 2,5 millions d’€ d’équipements ! Pas mal hein ? :-|
Alors voila, après l’Euro 2008, et le Mondial 2010 si la France se qualifie, hasta luego à la marque de Mr “Adi” Dasler, pourtant partenaire dés Bleus depuis 1972 je crois. Et bienvenue à la marque américaine à virgule !
D’un point de vue personnel, moi qui préfère 50 fois les équipements Nike pour le foot (ben oui, Adidas ils connaissent pas les Mercurial Vapors et les Nike Pro :-p ), je suis un peu dégouté de savoir que les Bleus vont avoir de beaux maillots maintenant (quoi que ? ça restera du une étoile … ) … Mais bon, de là à dire que ça leur permettra de battre l’Espagne, l’Argentine ou l’Italie en finale (ça c’est pour mettre hors d’eux ceux qui se seront reconnus :p ) …
A noter enfin, à titre d’anecdote plutôt drôle, que la marque Airness semble avoir été en course pour équiper l’équipe de France ! Mais qu’est-ce que j’aurais ri … tant pis !
