Música Boriqua & Nuyorican love

Recently I saw the PBS special “Latin Music USA!” which was a great series on the origins and influences of the diverse styles of Latin Music in the United States. The episodes covering New York City got me reminiscing about my time living there in the mid 1990s. When I moved there in my early 20s for graduate school, it was an overwhelmingly awesome culture shock for this California girl. To be dropped into Washington Heights (Quisqueya Heights if you know) was an mind bending experience. I started a sonic journey into the music of Nueva York ~ fueled by a desire to learn more about my own Latin heritage as well as love of culture and of my Caribbean brothers and sisters.

I love to dance and hit up everywhere from Copacabana and Latin Quarters to the down home clubs in the Boogie Down Bronx and Brooklyn. I saw some amazing bands play live including El Gran Combo De Puerto Rico and Marc Anthony. He hadn’t yet hit the mainstream audiences, but was selling out clubs performing salsa music. Anyhow, I can’t even begin to do justice to the enormity of the music which has come out of New York; all I can do is try to capture a slice of the New York I experienced, the one that lives in my memory.

“Calle Luna Calle Sol” is a Willie Colon song with Hector Lavoe on vocals from the mid 70s. This style of salsa dura chronicled street life and social problems found in the inner cities. The lyrics include the following lines: “mete la mano en el bolsillo; saca y abre tu cuchillo y ten cuidao. Pónganme oido en este barrio; muchos guapos lo han matao.” Translated they say “listen to me, in this barrio many have been killed; so take out your knife and be careful.”

“Lejos De Ti” by Angeles Canales talks about how much he loves New York, but will never forget his beautiful island of Puerto Rico. I recall listening to this song during the Puerto Rican Day Parade broadcast on 97.9 La Mega. What a mix of music ~ I actually taped (remember that?!) the radio that whole day. This version is poignant as his audience sings the entire first verse which leads Angel to get emotional.

Venezuelan bass player and sonero Oscar D’Leon’s “Lloraras” is a classic about heartbreak and karma. To this day, this song will get me on the dance floor:

Living in Quisqueya (the native name of the island of Dominican Republic) Heights, merengue was ubiquitous as well as bachata. Grupo Mania was huge during the mid to late 90s. Here is “Ojitos Bellos:”

This song by Pete “El Conde” Rodriguez and Johnny Pacheco really represents the style of salsa I fell in love with in New York. Most likely I’ll do another post digging even deeper into the clave, salsa dura, Fania All-Stars, and boogaloo/Latin Soul. But for now, enjoy “Sonero”:

I really wanted to post Pete “El Conde” Rodriguez’ version of “Esos Tus Ojos Negros” but I couldn’t find his salsa version online. I did find what I think may be the original, a bolero from Colombia by Oscar Agudelo. It’s the same song but done in a much different style. I hope you enjoy as I did:

Chapter 1, Pages 19-20:
“… During the First Occupation it was reported that members of the American Occupying Forces would often attend Dominican parties but instead of joining in the fun the Outlanders would simply stand at the edge of dances and watch. Which of course must have seemed like the craziest thing in the world. Who goes to a party to watch? Thereafter, the Marines were parigüayos » — a word that in contemporary usage describes anyone who stands outside and watches while other people scoop up the girls. The kid who don’t dance, who ain’t got game, who lets people clown him — he’s the parigüayo.” …

Chapter 1, Pages 19-20
This bit was taken from one of the footnotes. Normally, I hate footnotes in novels, but in this novel, the footnotes work. If you’re curious about Dominican history, but don’t want to pick up a history book, this is the book for you.

Chapter 1, Page 24:
… “Anywhere else his triple-zero batting average with the ladies might have passed without comment, but this is a Dominican kid we’re talking about, in a Dominican family: dude was supposed to have Atomic Level G, was supposed to be pulling in the bitches with both hands. Everybody noticed his lack of game and because they were Dominican everybody talked about it …”

Chapter 1, Page 24
This story is about Oscar, the parigüayo with the .000 batting average. This story is also about other normal messed-up kids growing up. But you get a sense that there’s a difference between messed-up and born-in-Trujillo-era-Dominican messed-up.

Chapter 5, Page 217:
… “Hiding your doe-eyed, large-breasted daughter from Trujillo, however, was anything but easy. (Like keeping the Ring from Sauron.) If you think the average Dominican guy’s bad, Trujillo was five thousand times worse. Dude had hundreds of spies whose entire job was to scour the provinces for his next piece of ass; if the procurement of ass had been any more central to the Trujillato the regime would have been the world’s first culocracy (and maybe, in fact, it was) …”

Chapter 5, Page 217
This is a history lesson I can sink my teeth into. I think of bachata, merengue and even reggaeton, and of some of the popular musicians behind the songs. Behind the dark sunglasses and behind the bling, I can’t help but feel the musicians’ humility. Maybe it’s a type of humility that’s passed down in cultures that have lived through dictatorships.

80er sind eben 80er und die Musik immer die Gleiche, aber es war trotzdem rischtisch lustisch.

Und 4 Cocktails. Tropical Dream. Und da tauchte dieser kleine Mensch vor mir auf, freudig erregt schilderte er seine große verflossene Liebe, mit der er immer so toll Cha-Cha-Cha tanzen konnte und ich wäre das Ebenbild!

Er fragte dann höflich meinen Mann (Arbeitskollege Horst, aber wir haben ihn in dem Glauben gelassen) ob er mit mir tanzen dürfte? Ja, sagte Horst grosszügisch. Danke Horst!

Ok, Cha-Cha-Cha hab ich ja mal im Fernsehen gesehen, aber getanzt noch nie. Das hab ich dann dem hoffnungsfrohen kleinen Menschen gesagt. Er sagte: Kein Problem! Ich zeigs dir und zeigte mir die Schritte gaaanz langsam. Das ist nix für mich, langsam. Da kapier ich nichts, ich muss das fliessend sehen, in Takt und Würde. Nachdem er dann schon dachte, er hätte die Falsche gewählt, hat ers mir dann doch mal schnell gezeigt und schwuppsdiwupps konnte Iro Cha-Cha-Cha und der kleine Mensch freute sich wie Bolle! Und noch schwuppsiger war das Lied zu Ende und kleiner fröhlicher Mensch enttäuscht.

Aber da! Hossa! Ein Merengue (sagte er, ich zweifle heute noch) und den musste er mir dann auch noch beibringen. Beifallheischender Blick zu Horst, Horst nickte seinen Segen gebend, danke Horst!!

Und schon musste sich Iro mit dem kleinen, wieder fröhlichen Menschen langsam im Merengue-Dings wiegen.

Danach verabschiedete sich der kleine fröhliche Mensch, wahrscheinlich weil er Angst hatte, meinen Mann überzustrapazieren und entschwand. Nicht ohne Hinweis darauf, dass er jeden Mittwoch da sei und mich da gerne mal wieder über die Tanzfläche schieben würde. Horst nickte ihm noch hinterher. Danke Horst!

I was prowling the streets of southside on a Monday, which I do not accustom, when I see posters posted up telling me that my favorite mambo band had preformed Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday and tonight Monday, was the last show before he headed back to La Republica, his home. I knew I had to see this band or live with a deep seeded regret and a constant dagger in my chest knowing that there may not be a next time to see what maybe the best merengue mambo show since Rod Stewart.

So, against my better judgement I tell mi amorzipan that im going to the southside to see El mas loco de to’ Tito Swing, and I would need a ride there. She totally understood.

Decked out in my shiny shoes and my expensive Ralph Lauren western shirt I grabbed my last $100 bill and went off to see the show at about 11:oo pm on a Monday. To my surprise I was early… I was the first one there, me and 3 chubby chix. I accepted my newly found groupie status swallowed the $25 cover and washed it down with a $6 Presidente. This went on till about 1 am, it had been $40 later when realized… “I dont even have a buzz!”.

Out in front I smoked my Newports and took tokes of the bluest buds in Brooklyn from my one hitter. I noticed down the street there was some jokers doing the same, but even bolder they were brown baggin beers right out side the place. So you know I had to do the same! By 3 a.m. I was pretty loose, down to my last $20 and I knew I wasnt making it into work tommorow, so I ask the hostess if the bands gonna play. Right then the hooligans from outside rush in bringing a kushy cloud with them and hop on stage. A minute later that bass line smacked me in the face and that cowbell went off, Dominican hottties rushed the stage and all the gangstas drinking Chivas crowded around. By far one of the baddest shows I seen in NYC.

Next time you can come keep me company.

I totally just had the night of my life!

I decided it was about time for me to go learn ballroom and latin dancing.

I went to Arthur Murray in Plano, expecting to get a sales pitch with a few dance moves as a bonus.

Au contraire! I learned the foundation steps for any dance style, danced to a wide variety of music, and met several people who enjoy dancing as I do. Take a look at this list of the different styles I danced…in one night, mind you!…:

Esta noche han empezado las clases de salsa en el CRJ de Cartagena. Y allí estaban Rodrigo y Amparo. En varias ocasiones os he hablado de ellos y sabéis que no tengo más que elogios. Ahora están dando clases de iniciación en el Centro de Recursos Juveniles, así que a todos aquellos que queráis aprender a bailar ritmos latinos, no solo salsa, o incluso si habéis pensado ir a otro sitio y queréis complementar vuestras clases, en serio, ni lo dudéis. Dan clases los viernes de 22:00 a 23:30 en el CRJ por 20€ al mes.

Esto está dentro del programa T-LA así que podéis pedir allí mismo más información. Y ya que estáis, pásadlo, que se sepa.

Depois que me aproximei da ONG Banco de Alimentos, fico sempre encucada em mandar uma parte de um ingrediente pro lixo. No cheesecake, acontecem em geral dois disperdícios: o de claras, já que a receita leva sempre mais gema do que clara, e o de limões, dos quais são usados apenas raspas da casca. Fiquei matutanto o que poderia ser feito e chego à solução de que as claras devem virar um bom merengue e o limão pode ser aproveitado no preparo de coberturas com frutas ou até do próprio Lemon Curd.

Ontem, então, resolvi fazer tudo ao mesmo tempo agora e aproveitar tudo o que o ovo tem pra dar. Eu queria cobrir um cheesecake com merengue (que depois levou raspas de marzipan, amoras e lascas de amendoas em cima) e fiquei com as gemas na mão, pedindo para virarem algo. Foi aí que com quatro ovos, uma certa quantidade de açúcar e um pouco de suco de limão tinha em poucos minutos um lindo e brilhante merengue e um delicioso lemon curd (que ainda leva manteiga e pode ser armazenado por alguns dias na geladeira).

Matei dois coelhos com uma cajadada só, não disperdicei nada e ainda fiquei feliz da vida.

Ainda sobre as gemas, fiquei me questionando sobre o uso de gemas pasteurizadas, achei que era uma boa ideia (depois de quebrar com o preconceito) até que eu descobri que após aberta elas duram apenas 24 horas… haja cheesecake e lemon curd pra fazer! Por enquanto prefiro driblar deste jeito, usando ovos que vêm na sua embalagem original mesmo!

Penchy Castro en México

Penchy Castro y su acordeonero Luis Carlos Farfan estuvieron en Guadalajara – México, encabezando la comitiva de la alcaldía mayor de Bogotá que estuvo disputándose la sede de los Juegos Panamericanos 2015. Aunque el objetivo principal no pudo cumplirse y la capital de nuestro país quedó por fuera de esa opción, “El Galan del Vallenato” si tuvo la oportunidad de mostrar todo su talento a los representantes de este certamen y delegaciones de otros países que se reunieron en la cita deportiva. Por Colombia tambien estuvieron Jorge Celedón y Jimmy Zambrano, “El Pibe” Valderrama, “La Chechi” Baena, la actual señorita Colombia, Francisco Santos, Samuel Moreno y el presidente Uribe.

Pipe y Liz

El cantautor Felipe “Pipe” Peláez sigue intercionalizandose y esta vez lo hizo con la Venezolana Liz con quién grabó a dúo una canción de su autoría en ritmo merengue y se titula “A lo mejor”. Liz busca repetir el éxito obtenido con su tema “A dormir juntitos” (ft Eddy Herrera).

Rafael Santos podría estar pensando en un nuevo acordeonero…

Hace pocos días que estuvimos en Bogotá, un reconocido personaje que integra la farandula Vallenata nos dijo que pronto habría un cambio en la carrera musical de Rafael Santos, hijo de Diomedes. Cuando le preguntamos a quien podría unirse nos dijo que a Iván Zuleta pero ayer mientras compartíamos un dialogo Vallenato con un reconocido director de emisora de Valledupar sobre el mismo tema nos comentó sobre la posible nueva unión de Rafael Santos con un rey Vallenato. Son dos comentarios sobre el mismo tema en menos de 15 días lo que predice una futura separación de su actual compañero Carlos Cotes.

Los proyectos de Omar Geles…

Recibimos información exclusiva no oficial de una buena fuente “Del Valle” que nos comentó sobre los nuevos proyectos que tendría el Rey Vallenato y compositor del año 2008, el señor Omar Geles quien estaría planificando retomar el nombre LOS DIABLITOS que retiró hace algunos años atrás por motivos de sus creencias religiosas (Omar es Cristiano). Esta nueva etapa tambien vendría con grandes cambios a bordo como el de hacerse a un lado de su propia agrupación e incluir a “Neno” Beleño como nueva llave de su actual vocalista Alex Manga. La cosa no pararía aquí pues Geles también podría estar pensando en producir un nuevo álbum donde él mismo tocaría el acordeón y agregaría la nota vocal a todas las canciones… de ser ciertos todos estos planes le deseamos la mejor de las suertes !

Mientras la canción “Malo” sigue escalando posiciones en las diferentes ciudades del país, los dueños de la razón social LOS GENIOS DEL VALLENATO disputen contra Jorge Pabuena (cantor original de este tema) por todo el país. Ahora resulta que hay una nueva versión del video con su nuevo vocalista, y es la siguiente:

音樂不只Canto Pop和Hip Hop

在路上已經超過一個月,透過旅遊會的會員及他們的朋友,我接觸了上百位的阿根廷及智利人。有在核電廠工作的工程師,也有大學畢業待業青年,家中連熱水爐也沒有;有收入不多但充滿熱誠的演員,亦有正在儲錢,待女兒長大,跟她環遊拉丁美洲的單親媽媽。除了普遍比香港人開朗健談外,我找到另一個共同點,就是音樂在拉丁美洲人生命的重要性。

在餐廳,在公車,在家中,音樂無所不在。

「你喜歡什麼音樂?」是必答題。

「你有沒有聽過什麼什麼組合?」

「這是什麼什麼類型音樂…?」

每天就在上音樂課,為過去三十多年只聽廣東和英倫流行曲的蒼白加添一些生氣。音樂,不同民族的,不同風格的,不同時代的音樂,開始流進我的血液。這些跳動的音符鬆開了如我一樣的香港人如上了鎖不懂聞歌起舞的身軀。

在香港,我們聽歌,往往重視歌詞和旋律。最常用的形容詞是「歌詞優美」,「旋律悅耳」。可是,節奏呢?廣東流行音樂中,節奏的探索和特色是缺席的。我打賭,一般香港人如你我,只能夠分得到Hip Hop!什麼是探戈,什麼是雷鬼,什麼是莎莎,一頭霧水! Merengue,Candombe,Calypso, Cumbia就更像火星話。

我們對音樂的節奏不敏感,也同時對生命的節奏也不敏銳。就舉Hip Hop為例,當你聽Hip Hop,你的身體就會跟著那個節奏動,這是廣東流行曲不會引發你的動態。聽廣東流行曲是不動的,因為我們音樂的強項在歌詞,最常出現的反應是「窩心」,只是內在的情緒在動,身體沒有動。不知道這跟我們過去二千年推崇儒家的思想(禮教)有沒有關係。我所識不多,沒有發言權,但禮(音)樂是一種教化是肯定的;中國(漢)人重視和諧與我們的音樂普遍節奏不強,奴隸和被壓迫的民族所創造的音樂必定充滿動感的節奏,這些現象實在值得我們深思!

好,讓我跟你分享一下南美的音樂吧!探戈和莎莎在香港也有比較多資料,我在此不談了!跟你們簡單分享三類我新接觸的音樂。

Merengueo是源自多明尼加的音樂,以2/4拍的快速編曲為主,樂器方面,有兩項是必須的:tambora和güira。樂曲方面分兩部份,首部份較簡單,是樂曲的介紹及引入,後半部份會有較長的即興演奏。這是朋友介紹的歌手Juan Luis Guerra,這首歌「我希望下咖啡雨」是他的名曲之一。

Candombe來自烏拉圭,音樂以鼓為主,在1930年代於首都Montevideo蒙特維多出現了不少非洲後裔建立的自助音樂舞蹈小組,Candombe在剛果語是「講下黑人」的意思。因為受到歐洲人到來(很多歐洲人因為一次及二次大戰來到南美逃避戰亂)的文化影響,這些非洲後裔的烏拉圭人不想失去自己的文化根源,所以成立這些組織,以音樂,舞蹈來保衛自己的文化。一隊完整的Candombe樂隊有50-100鼓手。以下是在烏拉圭常見的街頭Candombe演奏。

接著是Calypso。這是在中美洲的音樂,以千里達為重要基地,有著非洲的根源,也是因為奴隸貿易帶到美洲,再跟當地環境互動而誕生的音樂。曾幾何時,Calypso歌曲是千里達傳播消息的工具,住在千里達海島的人甚至認為Calypso的歌詞所發送的消息才是最可信的!對現代人,這是很有趣,亦很重要的反思!在消息過剩的今時今日,我們如何判斷消息是否可信?亦因此,英國殖民地政府要審查歌曲,但Calypso歌曲的傳統沒有停下來,繼續有個句講個句。

This is a cute sweet snack that is super easy and cheap to make and it really looks lovely.

For abour 12 large ghosts you will need:

3 egg whites

3/4 cups sugar

1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract.

Preparation:

Set the oven to 200 F (150 C). Separate the egg whites from the yolks and beat them adding the sugar gradually. Add the vanilla extract and finishe beating until the whites are stiff and make peaks when you lift the beaters.

Cover a cookie sheet with aluminum foil. Prepare the ghosts by dropping two spoons of egg whites one on top of the other. Make sure that they don’t spread a lot, but let random shapes form. This will make each ghost unique and add personality to your snacks.

Place them in the oven and bake for 90 minutes. After they are done, turn off the oven, and crack open the door of the oven so they keep drying. Paint eyes and mouth with food coloring or get creative with decorative things you have in your pantry.

Hace muuuuuuuucho que yo no veía un lanzamiento de un disco por todo lo alto como lo hizo el merenguero dominicano Eddy Herrera. Hoy revivo ese momento, ya que su disco “Con paso firme” esta nominado a Mejor Album Tropical Contemporáneo.

Aún con veinte años de carrera el merenguero dominicano Eddy Herrera sigue innovando su trayectoria con pequeños y grandes detalles.

Prueba de ello fue la gran fiesta que realizó para el lanzamiento de su disco “Con paso firme” bajo su nuevo sello Premium Latin Music con el que espera conquistar cada rincón de Estados Unidos.

En un lujoso yate que se paseó por las costas de la ciudad del sol, Eddy Herrera cantó con su orquesta ante invitados y prensa invitada de su país.

Durante la fiesta se pudo escuchar temas inéditos escritos por “El Galán del Merengue” como “La Gozadera”, “Enamorado” y “Sólo una vez“.

“No es mi fuerte escribir para mis producciones” confesó.

Pero por petición de Franklin Romero, dueño de su nueva disquera, siguió los consejos de componer “temas populares y en lo comercial”.

“Hize una selección de tres canciones que se prestaban y se parecían al disco, a la producción y a mi línea musical” comentó el artista.

Sobre “La Gozadera” la escribió pensando en la rumba que siempre forma en sus presentaciones en vivo.

Aparte de sus tres cortes, “Con paso firme” incluye otras diez canciones como “Dímelo” y el corte promocional “Cómo diablos” en las versiones de bachata y merengue.

Y el dúo con Anthony “Romeo” Santos – integrante del grupo Aventura – en “Hipócritas”.

“Es un merengue fusionado con tirco (una guitarra) yo dije: se parece a Anthony Santos este tema porque él tambien hace este tipo de merengue” destacó.

Con “mucho cariño” el afamado joven bachatero recibió la invitación y Herrera considera que es “uno de los artistas dominicanos de su género más impresionantes en el escenario”.

Además de volver como cantautor, “El Galán del Merengue” esta incorporando otros detalles a su espectáculo como tocar la guitarra.

Si bien aprendió a tocarla desde los nueve años, fue hace seis meses que se le ocurrió integrar el instrumento para crear “un toquesito diferente, le da una fusión”.

“Y a la gente creo que le ha gustado y creo que se vé chévere” opinó.

Son esas ideas que Herrera consigue mantenerse al día en la industria musical que empezó cuando fue uno de los cantantes principales de la orquesta de su compatriota y colega Wilfrido Vargas.

Como solista emprendió su viaje hace 20 años y piensa “que loco!, pero lo hize con mucha seguridad”.

“Con paso firme”, su album número once, Herrera emprende una gira promocional por todos Estados Unidos, Venezuela, México, Colombia y Guatemala.

“Esta es una de las producciones más completas y elaboradas de mi carrera y va acompañada de la promoción que siempre soñé, con un equipo grandioso que tiene toda su fe puesta en este trabajo y que estoy convencido marcará una nueva etapa en mi carrera”, indicó.

Su talento fue descubierto a los 7 años por su madre Elba Victoria De Herrera que encontró en él un jovencito con algunas facilidades y cualidades de cantar y a la vez, con una entonación en su voz.

Dos años más su padre Iván Herrera (fallecido) le regaló una guitarra, y al ver su entusiasmo, le contactó un profesor de música.

Así, el artista comienza a cantar temas de Nino Bravo, José José, José Luis Rodríguez y Javier Solís.

Sus sueños lo llevan a participar en el Festival de la Voz de Santiago, considerada segunda capital de República Dominicana y logró ganar el segundo lugar.

Regresó años siguientes y ganó el primer lugar mientras estudiaba arquitectura en la Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra (PUCMM) y jugaba pelota.

Confiado se le acerca a Wilfrido Vargas y abandona los estudios y los deportes para ser un cantante profesional.

Tres meses después que iniciara con la orquesta de Vargas, grabó su primer merengue titulado “El Jardinero”, el cual se convirtió en un exitazo intercontinental, luego “La Medicina”, posteriormente “El Loco y La Luna” y finalmente “Mujer Tirana”.

Fue el comienzo de un codiciado sueño que hoy cumple 20 años como solista y el cariño de un público en Latinoamerica, el Caribe y parte de los Estados Unidos.

Derrota terrena, vexame galáctico

O futebol, como o mundo, vive a dicotomia da segregação econômica. Como na sociedade temos cidadãos de classes A, B e por aí vai, o mundo da bola também vive suas divisões e estratificações sob a tutela do vil metal; com times milionários e equipes semi amadoras que habitam e dividem o mesmo terreno.

Na última terça os galácticos do Real visitaram o subúrbio de Madrid. Foram ao município de Alcorcón - a 13 quilômetros da capital espanhola – enfrentar, pela Copa do Rei, a equipe local que joga na 3ª divisão do campeonato espanhol e que leva o mesmo nome da cidade em que está situada. Um confronto entre o futebol real – não de realeza, mas de realidade – e o mundo fantástico e fantasioso da bola galáctica, das estrelas que brilham mais que a camisa, que a história.

Mesmo sem Kaká e Cristiano Ronaldo – estrelas máximas da constelação madrilenha – todos decretavam a barbada, goleada merengue… e com um pé nas costas. Mas no futebol, diferentemente da nossa sociedade do hiper consumo, nem sempre o dinheiro consegue ser o vitorioso.

Foi um dos maiores vexames da história do Real Madrid. 4 X 0 para um time da 3ª divisão… um time de estádio acanhado e de uma paupérrima galeria de troféus, sem nenhum título de relevância. Um time de jogadores modestos… jogadores modestos sim, mas que suam, que brigam, que jogam quase por amor ao esporte, pois o que ganham não é mais que o necessário para sobreviver.

4 X 0 com uma doce ironia. 3 dos 4 gols foram marcados por jogadores que passaram pelas divisões de base do time merengue, mas que nunca tiveram oportunidade no time de cima. O meia Ernesto Gómez que anotou o 3º tento da goleada e o atacante Borja Pérez, autor do primeiro e do último gol no massacre de Alcorcón. Detalhe, Borja já havia marcado outras 4 vezes contra o Real Madrid jogando pelos pequenos Leganés e Alicante. O outro gol da partida foi contra de Arbeloa, uma das contratações para a atual temporada.

Nem o mais otimista dos torcedores do AD Alcorcón poderia imaginar a noite de ontem. O dia em que a simplicidade do subúrbio venceu o poder e a ostentação capitalina.

A humilhante derrota imposta ao Real mostra muito mais que a pilhéria do futebol onde nem sempre os que compõem a base da pirâmide estão necessariamente abaixo daqueles que habitam o topo. A goleada do Alcorcón expõe a mentira galáctica dos astros milionários da bola e ratifica a idéia de que, hoje, não existe time de outro mundo.

Que o Real Madrid tem grandes craques é inegável. Mas ainda falta muito pra que estes jogadores formem um grande time.
