Hello everyone,
and now that the turkey and cranberry is off the Thanksgiving table let me be one of the first, if not the first, to wish you a very Merry Christmas.

Continuing on now with the YouTube Christmas series; I present to you a classic CBS Christmas special from creator Jim Davis and company.  ”Garfield Christmas Special” is both humorous and heartwarming.  Garfield’s owner, Jon, along with Odie the dog and the fat feline himself travel to the family farm to celebrate Christmas. Despite his upbringing, Jon and Garfield at first seem like a couple city slickers or fish out of water.  In Garfield’s case it perhaps were the rather large Christmas scraps of food that “Grandma” was feeding him under the table that made the feline feel finally at home; meanwhile Jon was reintroduced to chores.

Really what makes this cartoon a special one is how well it depicts the interaction between family.  True its mostly an animated Hallmark card but there is a moment or two where the cartoon goes beyond mere sentiment of the season and generic family togetherness.  One such example is where  ”Grandma” seems at peace when rocking in her chair, stroking Garfield, and reminiscing of past Christmases with her late husband.  Not really certain why but I find that scene to be more endearing now having seen it for the first time since my grandparents passed away several years ago.  There are of course, as well, plenty of funny cartoon gags and light hearted moments.

Garfield Christmas is one of the better Christmas specials out there.  In my book it ranks right up there with Charlie Brown and the Grinch.  Please enjoy the entire show featured in the embedded players below and once again… Merry Christmas.  (You can never say it enough.)

Let me share a story. It was a fine day when Khalid took his herd out. The fine little company of four legged follks were enjoying the merry day, and a good green meal. Khalid noticed a few of them merrily dancing around. They had been eating a special berry on the merry day, which made them even merrier.

I had some of that too. Not that I have four legs, no. I lost two of them to type this.

By the way, the story is a legend, but it is true that Coffee was discovered by North African Muslim farmers.

Hi everyone,

I want everyone to know that I am not just the art guy at Thompson’s Originals but also a client. If you can’t love what you design then I just don’t see the joy in doing this sort of work.  So…yes I can be my biggest fan and therefore pardon my bias.

With that being said I recently purchased my Christmas wardrobe of T-shirts and the fine folks at Printfection got them printed and out to my door just in time for the Thanksgiving weekend.  In case anyone was wondering the quality of the t-shirt prints from Printfection, (my current choice of online printers) I decided to take a picture with my digital camera. As you can see that the shirts feature a large and bright, bold print and the colors come out flawlessly. True the colors on the darker T-shirts are not as vibrant as they are on the lighter T-shirts they still do stand out rather nicely from the darker shirt material.  (You can click on the image for a larger view.)

I’m getting so tired of… wait.. not getting, i am tired of all these politically correct donkeys that are determined to steal the joy from everything we have. Who the hell are you to start crying foul that saying Merry Christmas could offend someone.
Offended, seriously? No one is forcing you to say it, just like no one forces me to say Happy Kwanzaa, or to celebrate Ramadan. I have the choice, and that’s the most important part of this… i have the choice to acknowledge, or partake in this. Why would I be offended if someone else chooses to display their celebration of these times? If a store has a display that I don’t like, I have the choice not to go there.. What kind of an asshole would I be to tell them they can’t sell it?
Soon enough there will be no more holidays… the risk of offending someone is too great.
I’m just flat out irritated as I sit here and listen to these news stories…

This one kills me…

a ban on Santa, candy canes, stockings, and all Christmas, Hanukkah and other “religious items.”

Red and green tissue paper to wrap presents was also crossed off the list because it looked too “Christmasy,” McMillan said.

“One of the parents said, ‘If we allow Santa, what do we say if a child brings in a swastika? Do we allow that too?’”

When did Santa become offensive? Who in their right mind compares Santa to a swastika? You should be ashamed… oh, and let’s not pick colors that are “too christmasy”?

Why can’t we just allow the kids to continue enjoying the holidays for what they are, how we remember them, and focus on having time together with our families instead of wasting so much time with these ridiculous battles to prove your own ignorance. Remember, there’s alot of people who cannot be home with their families these holidays, because they’re out fighting to protect your freedoms to run your fat mouth. Stop stealing the smiles from the kids and get your ass home & spend some time with them.

This goes right in line with all these kids sports where “everyone wins”… Oh man, that’s a whole other topic.. but these kids grow up with a false sense of reality.. no sense of accomplishment, or understanding of competition.. You want to win, work for it…

I brought my car in thinking that my brakes were grinding. They informed that there was just gravel stuck in between the pads. Instead of going ahead and saying that my brakes were bad they simply cleaned them out and sent me on my merry way. I was shocked that in a world where mechanics often get bad reputations, there are actually honest service centers out there and this is definitely one of them. I have since told everyone at my work to go there if

La puntata inizia con un dialogo fra Garp e Ace,in cui il Viceammiraglio si rammarica del fatto che i nipoti siano divenuti dei pirati.

Ace gli dice che ciò era impossibile in quanto nelle loro vene scorre il sangue
di criminali di fama mondiale.
Nel frattempo la ciurma di Bagy fa rotta verso Impel Down con l’intenzione di liberare
il loro capitano, ma Albida fa comprendere loro che è impossibile evadere da quella
prigione.
Rufy e Hancock raggiungono infine Impel Down e qui viene fatta una perquisizione
all’imperatrice,la quale rischia di far scoprire il nascondiglio di Rufy.

Rufy e Bagy atterrano al Lvl 2 dove si devono scontrare con i mostri presenti
su questo piano.
Dopo un primo momento di tranquillità vengono inseguiti da un basilisco e
Rufy è costretto a sconfiggerlo sfoderando il Gear Third.
Questo però mette in allarme i carcerieri,i quali riescono così ad identificare
il pirata che imperversa insieme a Bagy all’interno della prigione.
Intanto Hancock incontra Magellan,il direttore della prigione che ha mangiato il
frutto Venom-Venom,rendendolo un uomo veleno.
Per facilitarsi la fuga Bagy libera i prigionieri del piano confidando nel caos
che si sarebbe generato.I prigionieri però tornano quasi subito nelle loro celle
per paura del Boss del piano.
Rufy allora incontra Mr.3,il quale si offre di condurli verso il Lvl 3.
Intanto Sengoku apprende che Rufy si è infiltrato ad Impel Down,ma confida nell’impossibilità
di fuga dalla prigione.
Un unico uomo è riuscito a fuggire dalla prigione e il suo nome è Shiki il leone Dorato.

Hello everyone,

In recent years a new Christmas tradition has come about in my home; which is about locating on the web old Christmas TV episodes and movies, that time seemed to have forgotten.  YouTube has of course been the biggest provider of such Holiday entertainment with user provided videos from Bob Hope to Rudolph.  There is Christmas videos for just about every taste (even some for the more distasteful lot who would rather say Bah Humbug than Merry Christmas.)

I’d thought I share some of the shows I’ve come across over the past couple years on YouTube  in hopes it might brighten your Christmas sprit.  First off, we start with “Christmas Comes to Pac-Land.”  Yes thats right its a Pac-Man Christmas special.  As a kid this was one of my favorites.  Pac-Man + Santa teaming up?   Yes, in the 80’s this was a no brainer.  Back then Pac-Man was king and Santa well…what kid doesn’t love Santa.  In typical kiddy Christmas fashion the story is much like other specials. Something bad has happened on Christmas eve that causes Santa’ toy route to be jeopardized.  It is of course up to our hero, Pac-Man to come through for a distraught Santa, and save Christmas…as if Christmas is something that could ever be saved.  (God Bless Dr. Seuss for correcting that absurd notion in the “Grinch Who Stole Christmas.”)  Nonetheless, it is what it is and Santa’s the toy man/good will ambassador of the world and failure for the jolly elf is not an option.  Sure its silly, and somewhat retro…but hey the cartoon is just a nice piece of holiday nostalgia and if you’ve never seen it then its just a goofy, somewhat pretty, little animated Christmas card from Hannah-Barbara and Namco.

Thompson’s Original’s Jolly T-shirts Christmas Showcase!

We, the Earhart executive board, were discussing decorating for Christmas right after we got back from Thanksgiving break.  As always these days, someone said we needed to incorporate other religions into the decorations so no one felt left out. So I said, “We’re just putting up trees and lights!  Those aren’t religious!” but that didn’t matter so much.  We’re not even putting angels on the top of the trees, just stars.

Needless to say, we ordered an electric menorah and we’re gonna get some other decorations as well.  That got me thinking, we aren’t putting up any religious decorations for Christmas, so why are we putting them up for other religions?  I mentioned we should get a nativity scene, but no one really cared.  The fact of the matter is, we weren’t celebrating Christmas as a religious holiday, we were celebrating it as an American holiday.  Since when did we care if National holidays offended anyone?  “Happy Fourth of July!  Oh, you’re British?  Never mind.”  “Happy Presidents Day!  You’re an Anarchist?”  “Happy Veteran’s Day!  Oh, you’re German?  Well, we were killing you in WWI so never mind.”

If all Christmas means to you is trees and lights and Santa and presents, why are you so worried about offending other religions?  What about offending people who actually believe in the TRUE Christmas?
