Paarsurrey says:

Hi Ali Sina

Quran says only about the hardened priestly Jews of the time of Jesus that they were only following the Law of Moses, in apparent and outward manner, not in the spirit of it. They were monkeys or imitators of teachings of Moses and pigs or dirty as they tried to kill the Messengers Prophets of the Creator- God Allah YHWH; though they could not kill them as they tried to kill Jesus a cursed death on the Cross; but God saved his life and Jesus migrated to India,

Jesus condemned the priestly Jews for this behavior and called them hypocrites , serpents ,and vipers and what not please refer to Matthew 23:1-39

So, calling the priestly class i.e. the scribes and the Pharisees of the time of Jesus who tried to kill Jesus but did not succeed, in symbolic terms, as monkeys and pigs is in line with Jesus who told them that they were serpents, generation of vipers likewise was correct.

I quoted in the previous post from Jesus from the Bible and now I quote here from Quran to prove my point.

[2:63] Surely, the Believers, and the Jews, and the Christians and the Sabians — whichever party from among these truly believes in Allah and the Last Day and does good deeds — shall have their reward with their Lord, and no fear shall come upon them, nor shall they grieve.
[2:64] And remember the time when We took a covenant from you and raised high above you the Mount, saying: ‘Hold fast that which We have given you and bear in mind what is therein, that you may be saved.’
[2:65] Then you turned back thereafter; and had it not been for Allah’s grace towards you and His mercy, you would surely have been of the losers.
[2:66] And surely, you have known the end of those amongst you, who transgressed in the matter of the Sabbath. So We said to them: ‘Be ye apes, despised.’
[2:67] Thus We made it an example to those of its time and to those who came after it, and a lesson to those who fear God.

http://www.alislam.org/quran/search2/sh … 2&verse=62

It could be observed that here the real monkeys are not referred to but the priestly scholar class who are told to revert to the previous stage in evolution. The human beings as stated in the evolution were monkeys. Here it is certainly meant the priestly class. In the same way Muhammad called the bad traditional scholars/mullahs in the end of the days or of today as monkeys and pigs.

This is not relevant to the ordinary Jews of our time.

I love Jesus and Mary as mentioned in Quran.

Thanks

Jesus condemned the priestly Jews for this behavior:

Matthew 23:

1 Then Jesus spoke to the multitudes and to his disciples, 2 Saying: The scribes and the Pharisees have sitten on the chair of Moses. 3 All things therefore whatsoever they shall say to you, observe and do: but according to their works do ye not; for they say, and do not. 4 For they bind heavy and insupportable burdens, and lay them on men’s shoulders; but with a finger of their own they will not move them. 5 And all their works they do for to be seen of men. For they make their phylacteries broad, and enlarge their fringes.
5 “Phylacteries”… that is, parchments, on which they wrote the ten commandments, and carried them on their foreheads before their eyes: which the Pharisees affected to wear broader than other men; so to seem more zealous for the law.
6 And they love the first places at feasts, and the first chairs in the synagogues, 7 And salutations in the market place, and to be called by men, Rabbi. 8 But be not you called Rabbi. For one is your master; and all you are brethren. 9 And call none your father upon earth; for one is your father, who is in heaven. 10 Neither be ye called masters; for one is your master, Christ.
9 “Call none your father upon earth”… Neither be ye called masters. The meaning is that our Father in heaven is incomparably more to be regarded, than any father upon earth: and no master to be followed, who would lead us away from Christ. But this does not hinder but that we are by the law of God to have a due respect both for our parents and spiritual fathers, (1 Cor. 4. 23: 15,) and for our masters and teachers.
11 He that is the greatest among you shall be your servant. 12 And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be humbled: and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted. 13 But woe to you scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites; because you shut the kingdom of heaven against men, for you yourselves do not enter in; and those that are going in, you suffer not to enter. 14 Woe to you scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites: because you devour the houses of widows, praying long prayers. For this you shall receive the greater judgment. 15 Woe to you scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites; because you go round about the sea and the land to make one proselyte; and when he is made, you make him the child of hell twofold more than yourselves.
16 Woe to you blind guides, that say, Whosoever shall swear by the temple, it is nothing; but he that shall swear by the gold of the temple, is a debtor. 17 Ye foolish and blind; for whether is greater, the gold, or the temple that sanctifieth the gold? 18 And whosoever shall swear by the altar, it is nothing; but whosoever shall swear by the gift that is upon it, is a debtor. 19 Ye blind: for whether is greater, the gift, or the altar that sanctifieth the gift? 20 He therefore that sweareth by the altar, sweareth by it, and by all things that are upon it:
21 And whosoever shall swear by the temple, sweareth by it, and by him that dwelleth in it: 22 And he that sweareth by heaven, sweareth by the throne of God, and by him that sitteth thereon. 23 Woe to you scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites; because you tithe mint, and anise, and cummin, and have left the weightier things of the law; judgment, and mercy, and faith. These things you ought to have done, and not to leave those undone. 24 Blind guides, who strain out a gnat, and swallow a camel. 25 Woe to you scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites; because you make clean the outside of the cup and of the dish, but within you are full of rapine and uncleanness.
26 Thou blind Pharisee, first make clean the inside of the cup and of the dish, that the outside may become clean. 27 Woe to you scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites; because you are like to whited sepulchres, which outwardly appear to men beautiful, but within are full of dead men’s bones, and of all filthiness. 28 So you also outwardly indeed appear to men just; but inwardly you are full of hypocrisy and iniquity. 29 Woe to you scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites; that build the sepulchres of the prophets, and adorn the monuments of the just, 30 And say: If we had been in the days of our Fathers, we would not have been partakers with them in the blood of the prophets.
29 “Build the sepulchres”… This is not blamed, as if it were in itself evil to build or adorn the monuments of the prophets: but the hypocrisy of the Pharisees is here taxed; who, whilst they pretended to honour the memory of the prophets, were persecuting even unto death the Lord of the prophets.
31 Wherefore you are witnesses against yourselves, that you are the sons of them that killed the prophets. 32 Fill ye up then the measure of your fathers. 33 You serpents, generation of vipers, how will you flee from the judgment of hell? 34 Therefore behold I send to you prophets, and wise men, and scribes: and some of them you will put to death and crucify, and some you will scourge in your synagogues, and persecute from city to city: 35 That upon you may come all the just blood that hath been shed upon the earth, from the blood of Abel the just, even unto the blood of Zacharias the son of Barachias, whom you killed between the temple and the altar.
35 “That upon you may come”… Not that they should suffer more than their own sins justly deserved; but that the justice of God should now fall upon them with such a final vengeance, once for all, as might comprise all the different kinds of judgments and punishments, that had at any time before been inflicted for the shedding of just blood.
36 Amen I say to you, all these things shall come upon this generation. 37 Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them that are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered together thy children, as the hen doth gather her chickens under her wings, and thou wouldest not? 38 Behold, your house shall be left to you, desolate. 39 For I say to you, you shall not see me henceforth till you say: Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.

Hi Ali Sina

I think your above reply is not correct. On the one hand you say that “Truth cannot be found”, and on the other hand you are in search of the truth to get closer to the truth. This means, in my opinion, a sort of admission on your part nevertheless that the truth is certainly there, that is why you make a lot of effort to repudiate untruth, so that you may get at the truth. I think you agree with me.

You are exposing, as you say, the untruth of Muhammad and Islam by your posts/writings. How you are sure that what you are writing is fully truth, yourself? May be the concepts you have derived from the sources of Quran/Islam/Muhammad is itself wrong. Will you like if I expose the untruth in your writings/posts here?

So, the absolute truth is there all the time and always.

Truth can be found out, in my opinion, certainly through the Messengers Prophets, who are selected for receiving it through Word of Revelation from the Creator – God Allah YHWH for revealing the Truth to the mankind.

Like in our times the Creator- God Allah YHWH has appointed the Promised Messiah 1835-1908 as a Successor/Caliph of Muhammad from amongst the followers of Muhammad to expound the truth of Quran/Islam/Muhammad. I will therefore expose the untruth in your postings/writing and your wrong concepts from the Quran and from the writings of the Promised Messiah with rational reasonable and logical arguments.

I neither challenge you nor accept your challenge. I will just expose your wrongs; without win or defeat basis; only to get at the truth.

Unlike as you have stated; truth is achievable and Muhammad did achieve it :

[10:94] And We assigned to the children of Israel an excellent abode, and We provided them with good things, and they differed not until there came to them the knowledge. Surely, thy Lord will judge between them on the Day of Resurrection concerning that in which they differed.
[10:95] And if thou art in doubt concerning that which We have sent down to thee, ask those who have been reading the Book before thee. Indeed the truth has come to thee from thy Lord; be not, therefore, of those who doubt.
[10:96] And be not thou of those who reject the Signs of Allah, or thou shalt be of the losers.
[10:97] Surely, those against whom the word of thy Lord has taken effect will not believe,
[10:98] Even if there come to them every Sign, till they see the grievous punishment.
[10:99] Why was there no other people, save the people of Jonah, who should have believed so that their belief would have profited them? When they believed, We removed from them the punishment of disgrace in the present life, and We gave them provision for a while.
[10:100] And if thy Lord had enforced His will, surely, all who are on the earth would have believed together. Wilt thou, then, force men to become believers?
[10:101] And no soul can believe except by the permission of Allah. And He makes His wrath descend on those who will not use their reason.
[10:102] Say, ‘Consider what is happening in the heavens and the earth.’ But Signs and Warners avail not a people who will not believe.
[10:103] What then do they expect save the like of the days of punishment suffered by those who passed away before them? Say, ‘Wait then, and I am with you among those who wait.’
[10:104] Then shall We save Our Messengers and those who believe. Thus does it always happen; it is incumbent on Us to save believers.

http://www.alislam.org/quran/search2/sh … &verse=103

(Includes scheduling of Auchmaliddie all-quartz stone circle by Rt.Hon. Alex Salmond, M.P. & obit for Rt. Hon. Donald Dewar, First Minister for Scotland)

Picts were converted to Christianity by early Brittonic saints

SAINTS AND ANCESTORS
WITH AUTUMN rolling into winter and little hope of a reprieve to help us through the impending dark, it is not difficult to see why early-mediaeval faith had its focus in the Celtic saints whose prayers, blessings and shield (lorica) could guide, protect and give light and whose relics – staff (Ir. bachuill, Lat. baculum), cloak and gospel book – held a power as potent as the saint himself to heal and give strength.

In an early Celtic society which believed more colourfully in the intercession by God and all saints with man, the faith shared by simple monks who travelled the realm to convert and preach to the people of Pictland was a tangible belief for people who already had respect for age and listened to wisdom. Ancestors were after all, only the wise ones in another place and the recitation of one’s genealogy kept that sacred connection alive.

Latin manuscripts which survive from early-Historic (or so-called ‘Dark Age’) times are redolent with terms which mean little in today’s usage, but which reveal the importance of ancestry to people then. Most of us understand the use of Lat. filius, son and nepos, grandson (sometimes used as a general term for ‘descendant’), but probably only modern genealogists would get excited about any generation further back than a third great.

It is therefore illuminating to see in the 9thC Pictish Chronicles frequent use of terms such as Lat. atavus for fifth-time ancestor, or, translated into a family history context: one’s great-great-great-great-great grandfather.

Alexander III was greeted at his coronation with recitation of her genealogy

When John of Fordun wrote his Kronikill in 1363, he gave an elaborate account of (for him) a recent historical event: the coronation of Alexander III in July 1249. This was notable not only because the king was a seven-year old boy, but also because of a striking occurrence at Scone. After the boy was consecrated on the coronation stone and had received homage by earls and nobles, he was suddenly hailed by a ‘mountain-man’ who saluted him in his mother tongue:

‘Benach de Re Alban Alexander mac Alexander mac William mac Henri mac David mac Malcolm.. (‘blessing on king of Scots’) repeating his royal lineage back to its source.’

If we have forgotten this connection or feel no need for saints or our ancestral roots, is it not our own loss?

Elizabeth Allan & Donald Dewar
IT IS WITH sadness that we note a joint achievement by a member and our first First Minister, who both died this year, no doubt wishing their deeds to be unsung. However because of their interest, progress was made:Mrs Allan pointed out the awesome beauty of the abandoned quartz stone circle of Auchmaliddie in New Deer. [See newsletters Vol.X no.4 &Vol.XI number 1, Jan. 2000]. Following our request to the First Minister to have it scheduled, the Rt.Hon. Donald Dewar initiated the process which resulted in its becoming a priority for scheduling on Historic Scotland’s list. We mourn their passing but thank them both for making a difference.

RCAHMS to lose Royal Warrant
Following exclusive coverage in our spring newsletter and your many letters to Parliament in support of RCAHMS, within the Scottish Executive review of Public Bodies, FOGS may have been instrumental in saving the Royal Commission on the Ancient and Historical Monuments of Scotland from becoming disbanded or ‘un-departmentalised’. However we, among hundreds of individuals and heritage groups who wrote to the Scottish Executive in support of RCAHMS, have been unable to preserve it intact. In a thank you letter received from the Royal Commission, FOGS’ support is acknowledged, along with others who appreciate RCAHMS’ unique archival status, but a national outcry [albeit an esoteric one] was unable to save the Commission from losing its royal patronage. It appears that the Scots Parliament, while maintaining the important role which RCAHMS plays in recording the archaeological and historic man-made environment, believes that ‘further consideration be given to exploring a modern alternative to executive non-departmental public body status’. Procedures are already in hand for removal of the Royal Warrant. The reason given to the Commission by Allan Wilson is that ‘Royal Commission status is, I believe, only appropriate for bodies set up to undertake specific tasks over a finite period.’ For some reason, Ministers also believe a change of name would be ‘helpful in order to achieve greater transparency for the public both in understanding the important work it carries out and to encourage wider access to valuable public facilities.’ One wonders whether the gross funding required to implement this ‘visibility’ review and name change could not have been better spent in a large grant to continue the Commission’s dedicated work. It is also worthy of note that the Scots minister writing to the Commission does not even get its title right, so perhaps a dumbing down was felt necessary for some in office. In the tone of the ministerial letter, is it only our impression that the review body could find no fault in 95 years of meticulous recording, but felt it had to change something, and so concocted the removal of Royal status? Whatever our regrets may be, it is important not to lose sight of the fact that the Scots Parliament chose not to merge it with any other public body, nor to dilute its work by some other arbitrary means. RCAHMS Chairman Kathleen Dalyell feels our written support categorically made a difference. She states: ‘your support was, quite clearly, material in achieving this result and for that I offer you Commissioners’ best thanks.’

Paarsurrey says:

Hi friend Shaunm1963

Yes, I love Jesus and Mary like I love all the Messengers Prophets mentioned in Quran i.e. Moses, Moses’ mother, Noah, Jonah etc. They were exemplary personalities for the human beings; that is why they were selected by the Creator-God Allah YHWH as Models for humanity.

1.	I don’t believe Jesus to be son of god, in its literal meaning; yes I believe that he was one of the persons whom the Creator- God loved.

2.	Jesus was never a Word incarnate in its literal meaning; but in the meaning that all the Messenger Prophets fulfilled the purpose of the creations of human beings; in that sense all the Messengers are the Word incarnate; nothing special with Jesus.

3.	In the same sense all Messengers are Alpha and Omega; in the image of the Creator- God Allah YHWH; and they fulfill the purpose of human creation.

4.	All the Messengers have to suffer and make sacrifices in the way of the Creator- God Allah YHWH; they are all Lambs of God, nothing special with Jesus.

5.	Jesus talked in parables; the sinful and deserting scribes and the Church did not understand the parables sometimes and took it literally; they carved myths from the parables, we don’t have to follow their mistakes unnecessarily for nothing.

The human society is and must be rational, reasonable and logical; it cannot live in mythical castles. It is for this that I say the Jesus of Bible is no more relevant in the West. Jesus and Mary of Quran are real and relevant for the West and hence they must be loved as their celebrities.

I love Jesus and Mary as mentioned in Quran; not the mythical ones as mentioned by the cunning Paul and sinful scribes in the NT.

Thanks

Hi friends

It is not Muslims considering the choice of making Muhammad a Messenger Prophet of the Creator-God Allah YHWH. It is the Creator who selects and appoints a perfect human on this office. Let us see what happened in the time of Noah as mentioned in Quran:

[71:1] In the name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful.
[71:2] We sent Noah to his people, saying, ‘Warn thy people before there comes upon them a grievous punishment.’
[71:3] He said, ‘O my people! surely I am a plain Warner unto you,
[71:4] ‘That you serve Allah and fear Him and obey me.
[71:5] ‘He will forgive you your sins and grant you respite till an appointed time. Verily the time appointed by Allah cannot be put back when it comes, if only you knew!’
[71:6] He said, “My Lord, I have called my people night and day,
[71:7] “But my calling them has only made them flee from me all the more.
[71:8] “And every time I called them that Thou mightest forgive them, they put their fingers into their ears, and covered up their hearts, and persisted in their iniquity, and were disdainfully proud.
[71:9] “Then, I called them to righteousness openly.
[71:10] “Then I preached to them in public, and also spoke to them in private. [71:11] “And I said, ‘Seek forgiveness of your Lord; for He is the Great Forgiver. [71:12] ‘He will send down rain for you in abundance,
[71:13] ‘And He will strengthen you with wealth and with children, and He will give you gardens and He will give you rivers.
[71:14] ‘What is the matter with you that you expect not wisdom and staidness from Allah?
[71:15] ‘And He has created you in different forms and different conditions. [71:16] ‘Have you not seen how Allah has created seven heavens in perfect harmony,
[71:17] ‘And has placed the moon therein as a light, and made the sun as a lamp? [71:18] ‘And Allah has caused you to grow as a good growth from the earth,

http://www.alislam.org/quran/search2/sh … 1&verse=10

So, like Noah other Messengers Prophets have been selected by the Creator- God Allah YHWH. They have to be accepted by other human being for their ethical, moral and spiritual uplift.

Hi friends

Islam not only frees the body but the soul of the human beings. Of course one could achieve such ideals without trampling on the civil right of the others. It is for this that the Creator – God Allah YHWH sends his word of guidance on the perfect men called Messengers Prophets in all nations and regions of the world. These were the persons who got freed themselves regions physically, morally and spirituality. They never trampled on the rights of others; rather they gave them the rights even if they had to forgo their own rights:

[8:39] Say to those who disbelieve, if they desist, that which is past will be forgiven them; and if they return thereto, then verily, the example of the former peoples has already gone before them. [8:40] And fight them until there is no persecution and religion is wholly for Allah. But if they desist, then surely Allah is Watchful of what they do. [8:41] And if they turn their backs, then know that Allah is your Protector. What an excellent Protector and what an excellent Helper!

Muhammad was one such person; the cream of the humanity. He relinquished his rights but he fought for the rights of the persecuted and to establish the free will for everybody.

He looked down and saw some weird suspects with masks trying to attack a messenger boy. ” Hey! Leave him alone! ,” he said when he came down from the tree in a smooth fall. “Or what?,” said one of the suspects, which were really… MONSTERS that were sent by the mayor, taking their masks off. ”Yikes!,” exclaimed Cheng. Then he thought, “Wait a minute! There were no monsters around here before… there is only one thing I think could have happened… I’ve been researching about this secret scientist named Jones Junior. This monster looks like an experiment of his. He must want to conquer the world. But… HE’S AFTER ME FIRST!!!!!!” Cheng used his first power: sword switching. “It’s time to see if you can touch the boy. Skeleton sword! ,” he shouted, pulling out his special sword that only killed that type of monster. He started fighting the monsters with his sword. It was two against one, but he managed to win the fight. ”Thanks, Cheng!,” said the messenger. ”I thought for sure that they wanted to kill me. I came here to tell you that Jones (the scientist) made a monster that took over the mayor. Now, he wants to kill you,” he continued. “I got to find them,” said Cheng.

Prophets of Islam Muslims regard as prophets of Islam those non-divine humans chosen by Allah (the s

Prophets of Islam

Muslims regard as prophets of Islam those non-divine humans chosen by Allah (the standard Arabic-language word for “the God”). Mere humans rely on revelation or tradition to identify prophets.

Each prophet brought the same basic ideas of Islam, including belief in a single God and the avoidance of idolatry and sin. Each came to preach Islam and told of the coming of the final law-bearing prophet and messenger of God: Muhammad. Each prophet directed a message to a different group and each prophet taught minor variations in sharia (or the practice of religion) to a different target-audience. These variations constitute applications of Islam: mainstream Muslims do not consider them discrete versions of Islam.

Islamic tradition holds that God sent messengers to every nation. Muslims believe that God sent only Muhammad to convey the divine message to the whole world, whereas he sent other messengers (rasuls) to convey their messages to a specific group of people or to an individual nation.

Unlike Judaism and Christianity, Islam distinguishes between a direct messenger of God (rasul) and a prophet (nabi). Both function as divinely inspired recipients of God’s revelation. However, in addition, rasuls receive a divine message or revelation for a community in book form. Thus the rasul category forms a subset of the nabi category.

Muslims regard Adam as the first prophet and Muhammad as the last prophet; hence Muhammad’s title Seal of the Prophets. Islam regards Jesus as a rasul (and sometimes as a nabi) because he received wahi (revelation) from God, through which God revealed the Injil (Gospel) to him. Muslims believe that God has sent over 124,000 prophets all over the world, as mentioned in the Sahih Hadith. Five of them (sometimes known as Ulul Azmi or the Imams — literally: “leaders” — of the Rasuls) receive the highest reverence for their perseverance and unusually strong commitment to God in the face of great suffering, namely:

Nuh (Noah)

Ibrahim (Abraham)

Musa (Moses)

Isa (Jesus)

Muhammad

Distinguishing Between Prophets and Messengers

The Quran, like the New Testament, ranks a messenger (apostle) higher than a prophet. For example, in the Qur’an whenever both titles appear together, “messenger” comes first. According to the Muslim scholar al-Baydawi, a messenger establishes a new religious law (sharia) whereas a prophet continues an old one. This would imply that prophets were more numerous than messengers and occupied a lower rank. God sends both prophets and messengers as givers of good news and as warners to their people. In the case of messengers, however, it appears that a close relationship exists between them and their people (ummah). A messenger will become the witness that God will take from that community on the Day of Judgment (see Sura X, 48; XVI, 38; XXIII, 46; XL, 5; IV, 45; XXVIII, 75). According to the Qur’an, Allah sent Muhammad to all of humanity and to the jinn.

Muslims distinguish between celestial and human messengers. In the Qur’anic world, God has made the angels messengers but not prophets. The human messengers, however, also function as prophets — though not every prophet serves as a messenger. Angels always carry “orders” to the human prophets or messengers on what to say, what to do, and so forth. While human messengers deliver some messages about new orders to the people, prophets only reinforce previous orders by earlier messengers or prophets, but since the angels carry orders to prophets to do their duty, then all angels of revelations count as messengers.

Hi friends

“The Bible cannot be taken literally”

We know that the Messengers Prophets of the Creator – God Allah YHWH, like Moses, Noah, Abraham and Jesus did receive Word of Revelation from Him. But unfortunately the Original Revelation has not been preserved literally and has been lost in the debris of time. We only get the glimpses of the Creator- God Allah YHWH’s Word. So definitely one does not get the true meaning and hence the true sense of it. I therefore agree that the Bible cannot be taken literally sometimes.

But at least we can understand academically that the Revelation had been received from God Allah YHWH. The lost part of the Bible or its ethical, moral and spiritual teachings can however be recovered/ modified or understood.

I love Jesus and Mary as mentioned in Quran.

When I come home from my evening class, it’s really quite late. And in Long Beach, a late return home=no parking anywhere near your humble abode, at least if you’re one of the many unfortunate folks with no parking space or garage.

Tonight, I tried to cap my after-class conversations to 15 minutes in hopes of finding a spot not too far from my apartment. And even though I had to drive around for a bit, and I still had a good 10-minute walk between my spot and my nice, soft, comfy bed, I did manage to score a spot that wouldn’t require me to move my car early in the morning for street sweeping.

As I walked along 4th Street, I saw a little yellow smiley face in chalk on the sidewalk. Then as I looked up, I noticed a youngish woman half a block ahead. And she was skipping! I couldn’t help but grin, but when I looked down, the grin turned into a full-on laugh.

<img class="size-medium wp-image-176" title="no, really...
No, really… it insisted.

I mean it!

So I skipped. And grinned. And then turned around because I just had to snap some low quality phone-camera pictures to share.

And as I did, a group of youngish folks were walking the other way, and a girl said to the group, “I’m not the only one who stopped!”

“Did you skip?” I asked her.

“Yes!” she said, smiling. “Have a good night!”

“You, too!” I replied, feeling light-hearted, as I continued down the street, passing by the first skipper as she listened intently to a disheveled older man next to a pile of bags and clothing.

And was grateful for this unexpected moment of joy at the end of a long day. Being the person I am–always with a Big Idea I want to implement–I am now enamored of the idea of a Sidewalk Chalk Taggers gang that goes around chalk-graffitting sidewalks all over Long Beach with messages to make folks smile.

Ahmed Deedat | Language: English | Format: PDF | Pages: 22 | Size: 1 MB
The inimitable Ahmed Deedat here poses the question, “What is the name of God?” Using christian, jewish and Islamic sources, he strives to answer the question.
Sheikh Ahmed Hoosen Deedat was Born on the 01 July 1918 in the Surat district of India in 1918. His father emigrated to South Africa in 1927 with him. After reading a book called Izharul Haq – The Truth revealed, a book about a debate with Christian Missionaries in the then British India, Sheikh Deedat was spurred on in the direction of Dawah – Islamic Missionary Activity to halt the tide of the then Christian onslaught against Islam. Over the next four decades, he immersed himself into a host of activities. Conducting Bible classes, lectures and debates the world over. He established the first Islamic Seminary in Southern Africa to train propagators at Assalaam educational Institute – Braemar. He is the founder of the largest Islamic Dawah Organization in the world, the Islamic Propagation Center International and became its president. He delivered thousands of lectures all over the world, crossing all the continents and successfully engaging some of the biggest names in Christian evangelists in public debates. Sheikh Deedat’s debates and lectures are available all over the world in the various languages in Video and DVD format. His career in the field of Comparative Religion took him across all five continents and dialogue with the heads of the Protestant world in America. May Almighty Allah bless his soul, accept his efforts for the cause of da’wah and grant gracious patience to his loved ones during this trying time.

Hi friend Trojan
‎
I don’t mind if you laugh; that would refresh you and it ‎‎would be a good thing for your health.‎
‎
The Creator of this Universe is one; God, Allah, YHWH etc ‎‎are names of the same Creator given by different nations ‎‎for Him. In a way these are synonyms. The Creator did not ‎‎leave the human beings after creating them; he wanted to ‎‎converse with them and provide guidance to them through ‎‎perfect ment called Messengers Prophets, in my opinion.‎
‎
This is what I understand; and this is what the Second ‎‎Coming 1835-1908 has explained in his book “Message of ‎‎Peace”:‎
http://www.alislam.org/library/books/Message-of-Peace.pdf
‎
I think now you understand.‎
‎
All human beings are just like a family; every one of them ‎is to be loved and noone ‎should be hated.‎
‎
Thanks
I am an Ahmadi peaceful Muslim

Luke 19:41-44

Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me. Revelation 3:20

It took years before she finally said yes. A Welshman had fallen in love with one of his neighbors and wanted to marry her. But they had quarreled, and she refused to forgive. Shy and reluctant to face the offended woman, the persistent suitor slipped a love letter under her door every week.

At last, after 42 years, he summoned up courage, knocked on her door, and asked her to become his wife. To his surprise and delight, she consented. So they were married at the age of 74!

God is also a persistent lover. Century after century He sent prophets as His messengers beseeching the stubborn, alienated people of Israel to live with Him, a faithful covenant-keeper. But all those overtures were sinfully refused. Then at Bethlehem, God Himself came in the Person of Jesus Christ. Now, having opened up the way for reconciliation by His redeeming sacrifice at Calvary. He stands at the door of everyone’s heart, knocking and asking that sinners personally accept Him as Savior.

If you have answered yes, rejoice that you are His. If that door stays shut, however, you must realize that time may run out. Don’t remain forever self-alienated from the Lover of your soul. Trust Him today. —vcg

Why trade the hope of heaven’s light for things that please the prince of night? Eternal glories wait for all who turn and trust God’s loving call. —jdb

God always knocks loud enough for a willing soul to hear.

Firstly: Thanks or gratitude means reciprocating kindness and giving praise to the one who has done

Firstly:

Thanks or gratitude means reciprocating kindness and giving praise to the one who has done good and kind things. The one who is most deserving of thanks and praise from people is Allaah, may He be glorified and exalted, because of the great favours and blessings that He has bestowed upon His slaves in both spiritual and worldly terms. Allaah has commanded us to give thanks to Him for those blessings, and not to deny them. He says (interpretation of the meaning):

“Therefore remember Me (by praying, glorifying). I will remember you, and be grateful to Me (for My countless Favours on you) and never be ungrateful to Me” [al-Baqarah 2:152]

Secondly:

The greatest ones who obeyed this command, and gave thanks to their Lord until they deserved to be described as shaakir and shakoor (thankful) are the Prophets and Messengers (blessings and peace of Allaah be upon them).

Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):

“Verily, Ibraaheem (Abraham) was an Ummah (a leader having all the good righteous qualities), or a nation, obedient to Allaah, Haneef (i.e. to worship none but Allaah), and he was not one of those who were Al‑Mushrikoon (polytheists, idolaters, disbelievers in the Oneness of Allaah, and those who joined partners with Allaah).

(He was) thankful for His (Allaah’s) Favours. He (Allaah) chose him (as an intimate friend) and guided him to a Straight Path (Islamic Monotheism — neither Judaism nor Christianity)” [al-Nahl 16:120, 121]

“O offspring of those whom We carried (in the ship) with Nûh (Noah)! Verily, he was a grateful slave” [al-Isra’ 17:3]

Thirdly:

Allaah has mentioned some of the blessings that He has bestowed upon His slaves, and has commanded them to be grateful for

We could never count the Blessings of Allah (flickr)

them, and has told us that few of His slaves give thanks to Him:

“O you who believe (in the Oneness of Allaah — Islamic Monotheism)! Eat of the lawful things that We have provided you with, and be grateful to Allaah, if it is indeed He Whom you worship” [al-Baqarah 2:172]

“And among His Signs is this, that He sends the winds as glad tidings, giving you a taste of His Mercy (i.e. rain), and that the ships may sail at His Command, and that you may seek of His Bounty, in order that you may be thankful” [al-Room 31:46]

There are so many other blessings. We have only mentioned some of these blessings here; listing all of them is impossible, as Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):

“And He gave you of all that you asked for, and if you count the Blessings of Allaah, never will you be able to count them. Verily, man is indeed an extreme wrongdoer, a disbeliever (an extreme ingrate who denies Allaah’s Blessings by disbelief, and by worshipping others besides Allaah, and by disobeying Allaah and His Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم)”[Ibraaheem 14:34]

Fourthly:

How can a person thank his Lord for His great blessings? His gratitude should fulfil all the necessary conditions, which are gratitude of the heart, gratitude of the tongue and gratitude of the physical faculties.

What man should do is attribute blessings to Allaah and acknowledge them fully. Thus he will attain complete Tawheed. Whoever denies the blessings of Allaah in his heart or on his tongue, is a kaafir and has nothing to do with Islam.

Whoever affirms in his heart that all blessings come from Allaah alone, but verbally he sometimes attributes them to Allaah and sometimes attributes them to himself, or his actions, or the efforts of someone else — as happens on the lips of many people — this is something that the person must repent from, and he should not attribute blessings to anyone except their Creator, and he must strive to make himself do that, because faith and Tawheed cannot be attained except by attributing blessings to Allaah.

The gratitude which is the head of faith is based on three pillars: acknowledgement of the heart of all the blessings that Allaah has bestowed upon him, and upon others, and talking about them; praising Allaah for them; and using them to obey the One Who bestowed the blessings and to worship Him.

Ibn al-Qayyim (may Allaah have mercy on him) said:

Gratitude may be in the heart, in submission and humility; on the tongue, in praise and acknowledgement; and in the physical faculties, by means of obedience and submission.

And Allah knows best!
