The more I reach out and connect with other people interested in the New Age, the more inspired I become in my own path. I have found so many people still holding true to the original vision of the New Age movement, and they are the seeds of the New Age revival.

In the public eye the movement’s meaning and goal may have faded, but there are many individuals and groups still living it. What is needed now is for all these people and groups to connect with one another and become not isolated people or groups, but the movement itself. We are already finding each other through social networking on the Internet. The next step is to reach out to other spiritual seekers and encourage them to include the New Age movement as a process of the spiritual transformation of the whole world in their spiritual path.

We each make the world a better place through our own transformation, but when we join together to focus on transforming the world we find a larger purpose in our lives. Many of us are looking for just such a meaning in our spiritual search; for us, it is not enough to become peaceful in ourselves, we want to embrace the whole world and heal it.

If you feel this calling, please join with us in meditation, in networking, in sharing the vision in whatever way feels right to you. Your part in the New Age movement, and in its revival, is important. Imagine that New Age on Earth, that better world of peace, harmony, justice and co-operation, and know that we can create it. As an invidual, as part of a group, as a global network of people, whatever way you choose, you can help transform the world.

On my last post on dream interpretation (11/24/09) , we went into the issue of folks who don’t remember their dreams and the ones who don’t know if they dream at all.

You might be one of those people .

We talked about dreams being a part of the REM state of sleep, and the fact that, since most of us experience REM, at least of us are dreaming, whether we go so deep into sleep that we remember it or not.

I went into a simple method to reprogram yourself to remember your dreams.

Everybody up to speed?

Now let’s build on that.

In the whole series of posts I’ve done on dreams( from Oct. 2nd onwards) we’ve talked about how dreams are often messages from your intuition or your unconsciousness.

We’ve talked about the symbology of dreams and how to successfully interpret your own individual dream symbols.

Well enough.

But what if you tend to get dreams full of obscure symbols that you just can’t find a meaning for?

What if sugar plum moose in tutus cha cha through the drive thru lane in your dreams?

What if you dream of doing the back stroke for miles through a sea of peppermint schnapps?

What if, while you sleep, you encounter Albert Einstein, who takes one look at you and shouts “A  ha!” and then runs off into the darkness?

What then?

(disclaimer- these dreams are not ones I have had nor have I heard of anyone else having them. I’m just having fun with examples )

There’s a simple solution.

Remember how we programmed ourself in the last post to remember our dreams? How we told ourselves as we dropped off to sleep” Tonight I will dream and I will remember my dreams?…

Well, we can add to that.

Are you vexed by chronic dreams with obscure symbols?

Then as you drop off to sleep, tell yourself (silently or out loud, dependant on your situation)…

• “Tonight, I will dream.”
• ‘I will remember my dreams.”
•  ” And my dreams will come to me in symbols that I easily and clearly understand….”

Simple, no?

But,very effective.

This may work for you immediately. It may take some time ( every body’s different- thank goodness!) But it will work….

And you can start benefitting more easily from what your dreams have to tell you.

I was sitting in the car last Saturday, whilst hubby was walking the dog I suddenly ’saw’ the car door open and a man get in and said come on belt up and we can get off..I just looked and said thanks, but I have to wait for my hubby!!! the man looked stunned, I asked who he was but got no reply, however I just knew he was a miner, we where on the common near Maltby Pit, so really it did not take much working out, I felt a rush of energy and then peace, I hope this man has now gone to the light

Things are always a bit different in the days following a big trip. Especially if they are accompanied with lots of friends and smokage, like this Thanksgiving break. I hung out with eleven people from high school that I haven’t seen in a few months in one night. It was crazy and the stories were all entertaining. When we were all getting half baked and staring at the beautiful moon that night a few things occurred to me.

When you look at trees when your tripping of flashing and they fractal. I think this has something  to do with the dimension you’re thinking in. I agree with the people who say that doing psychedelic drugs makes your mind go into different perceptions of reality. Like discussed in the previous posts, the 5th dimension is 2 time dimensions, or multiple time lines, like alternate realities. Well maybe when you’re tripping out and look at a tree, you see all the different possibilities that tree could have grown to. With them all on top of each other it would look fractal.

Psychedelic

Color shifts and complete dream states of trips could be applied to the same idea as well- just looking through a new window into a dimension. Meditation, when practiced in anyway allows your mind to move through these dimensions as well, with or without psychedelic help.

This time I’m going to start relating what 2012 is and how it will affect us, the human race, and the planet we’re riding on. 
 OK, let’s start with the basic astrophysics of it. On Dec.21,2012 the Earth and its sister planets will come into alignment with the Galactic center.  A full allignment happens only about every 26,000 years and signifies the movement of the Sun from one astrological sign to another. In this case it will enter the sign of Aquarius.

One of the most important things we can do to help revive the New Age movement in its original form is to educate people about what that original form is. People now think “New Age” and they think of things like crystals, channeling, tarot, astrology and other “flaky” (their word, not mine!) things. Because of this, people who are actually part of the New Age movement (and who included themselves in the early days of the movement), people who are working for peace, the environment, social issues, etc., have disassociated themselves from the term “New Age”. And people who are on their own personal spiritual paths are often proceeding alone, not aware that what they are going through is part of the process of the spiritual transformation of the world. We need both social and spiritual transformation to create a better world, this New Age on Earth of peace, justice, harmony, and co-operation.

So we need to remind people of the grand vision that the New Age movement really is, and ask them to join, or re-join, and help create this better world. Let them know how important each one of us is to this process.

There are so many ways we can reach out and inform people. Talk to people we know; talk to people at local New Age bookstores and New Age centers and ask them to help spread the word. Attend or hold gatherings of New Age people. Write to publications. Use the Internet lavishly! We can reach so many people now, in such a short time. Forums, groups, Facebook, MySpace, blogs, websites, e-newsletters, all are vehicles to reach other people and remind them of the meaning and intent of the original New Age movement and ask them to join in. Please feel free to share this blog with others as part of your reaching out, if you think it will help educate people.

It is up to us to help create the better world that is the vision of the New Age. And it is up to us to help spread the message of what that vision is. There is a large meaning and purpose for those of us on this path; let us invite others to join with us and share the vision and the joy of creating our better world!

Her home reminds me of Georgia O’Keefe’s Abiquiu home. Though I have never been there in person, I have seen enough photos to recognize the similarity between my playwright friend’s home and O’Keefe’s. Lucy’s rambling white stucco ranch-house even boasts a bleached cow skull on a post outside; she picked it up from her grandfather’s ranch the year of the Drought. Inside, her kitchen (including her 1940s white enamel double-oven) and her living room are visually so pleasing and warm. Art from Mexico, including kinesthetic sculpture, weavings from the highly-spiritual Chimayo, amazing paintings, big and small – you step inside and you know you are in the home of an artist. Or, in Lucy’s case, a playwright. There is the air of authenticity about her place; nothing even the finest American interior designer could stage.

Lucy is one of the members of the writing group I wrote about earlier – Out of the 9 stalwarts, she is the one who writes of the metaphysical: ghosts of her grandparents who inhabit the bodies of her friends; trips back and forth in time and space. The setting is always Mexico; some of it pre-Revolution. Some of it even earlier.  Lucy writes in English, which must be incredibly difficult, but her poetic words defy translation. I am amazed by her ability to touch the “heart of the matter” in English, when Spanish comes so much more naturally. Her plays have been performed in this Country – and in Mexico. Listening to her read her dramatic segments – in her lilting, heavily tinged accent, is transcending. I have not told her this – but she was one of the main reasons I continued with the writing group when the others seemed hopelessly locked in their ponderous narcissism.  Well, maybe I told her  I admired her writing so, but I didn’t explain.

Last week, I visited  her home. After some brief conversation, she poured me a glass of very good red wine. We watched the dusk settle in on the rustic grounds around her home. I was seated in an equipale leather chair; the sky turned a mottled grey and pink, and then it was time for me to go. Before I left, I asked if perhaps she and I could form a group of poets. She said she thought it would be a very good idea – possibly in the new year, after she returns from Mexico.

Then, two days ago, I received an email from Lucy to me and to some of the other members of the  fiction writing group asking for their suggestions on how to bring me back into the fold. She said she missed me and my critiques. I was surprised, but the more I thought about it, the more I realized Lucy was composing a drama – asking the other writers (the actors) to enter stage left or right; to speak a monologue; to declare themselves or to remain silent. I see the fine hand of a playwright posing this question about me re-joining the group.  Now I must act ( or not act) on her declaration  supporting me; I am one of the key players, but not the only one. She is writing a drama full of the requisite ingredients she knows so well – antagonist, protagonist, the Greek chorus, the supporting players, the dramatic issue that must be resolved, the conflict, the resolution, and so on. The latter portions of the play are still being written. She is both playwright and director.

I find myself now in the middle of a play within a play; some of it is about me, but more importantly, the knotty issues of truth, betrayal and the scent of madness.

Recently someone I consider to be a wise teacher in my life, Philip Golabuk, stated that we are too much with the world and not enough with the self.  I pondered what was the meaning of this statement.  What does it really mean?

I’ve come to see it means I am too much with trying to make things happen in the world.  Too much with believing there are an endless string of things to be worked through.  Too much with giving attention to what I don’t want.
Too much being reactive to the world.   Too much with shouldering burdens I am not meant to carry. And too much with believing I am in control.

Too much with getting and not enough with letting.

Too much with reacting and not enough with Being.

Too much with the head and not enough with the heart

Stated another way, as Meister Eckhart said: The outward man is the swinging door; the inner man is the still hinge.

Who is this inner man and which self are we not enough with?

Perhaps it is the inner self that doesn’t die.  The inner self that lives in the deepest truth.  The inner self which, when unobstructed, freely finds its way to goodness and grace.  The inner self that rests in calm, still waters.

The self that reaches a turning point and lays down its arms, literally and figuratively.  Knowing now there are no more causes to be fought or won.  Our arms drop to our sides and then, perhaps only then, does the Field/Universe/God take up our cause.

Some of the most enjoyable experiences I have had in the New Age movement have been participating in the Dances of Universal Peace. These simple circle dances are a wonderful celebration of the different spiritual traditions of the world.

From their website (http://dancesofuniversalpeace.org/about.htm): “Dances include themes of peace (both inner and outer), healing (the Earth, individuals, and the global family), and the celebration of life’s great mystery. Dancers focus on peace and harmony creating a sense of solidarity and community while celebrating the underlying unity of all the spiritual traditions of the Earth.”

The spirit of joy, celebration and togetherness that these dances create is wonderful. The energy of people coming together to participate in honoring all sacred traditions is something that this world could use more of! If we truly want to create a world of peace, harmony and understanding, joining together in this kind of spirit is a beautiful step on that path.

This blog is a place I have created with the purpose to explore burning questions and thoughts – no, make that feelings – that emanate from the deepest parts of me, and have done so for some time. I decided I needed to do this, because I’ve found that I haven’t been able to discuss these with anyone I know – largely because it’s way too easy to get distracted by debates, judgments, and contradictory beliefs. Another big reason:  Though I’m very literate and verbalize my thoughts extremely well, precise communication of my feelings – well, that’s another story altogether. In that arena, writing is definitely much more my forte.

So, here I am.

This has been a long time coming; in fact, I started another “private” blog, somewhere out in cyberspace, about a year ago, with a very similar purpose. I wrote in it 2 or 3 times, got away from it for awhile, and when I wanted to go back to it… well, let’s just say that it’s SO private that I can’t even find it now!

That’s OK. Because really, this is supposed to be the way it is, in the scope of things – I’m sure of it. I woke up 2 days ago in the wee hours of the morning, with that familiar weight on my heart – and on my soul – that’s been plaguing me off and on for years, and it happened: I had an epiphany. A huge one! I suddenly felt like I was given some guidance; a small voice whispered in my ear. I got up, got on my computer, and did some Googling – an activity that I’d done at least a dozen times before on this subject – yet, this time, I found information right under my nose that I KNOW had never been there when I previously looked. And once I started reading, my whole being felt like it started to tingle, and then vibrate – it’s the closest I can come to explaining it – and for the first time, something that has been troubled deep inside me rang happy, because it finally felt like I was on the right track to getting some answers!

My being hasn’t stopped tingling since. At first, I felt like I was going to crawl out of my skin, but I’ve (sort of) adjusted. Yet, even writing this, I can feel that internal vibration increase. Is this what a spiritual awakening is about? Universal attunement? I don’t know. But I have this burning desire to write it all down… from the beginning. I think that might help me sort things out. The first time I tried this, I started writing it as the story it is, but that didn’t work… which is why I think I abandoned the effort shortly after I began (and subsequently lost it). I think this blog might seem a little scattered for awhile, because I don’t think I can recount all the things that make up these questions in a human/Earth timeline. It’s too limiting! So I will probably jump around, on different sections at different points, depending on what strikes me – because that’s how I think I need to sort it all out. No, strike that – that’s how I FEEL I need to sort it all out.

Anyway, read or read not – it’s your choice. This place is for me, and possibly for others who are starting to feel similar universal – yet very, very personal – questions that burn deep down within them. So deep, in fact, that they don’t know how to let them come into the light of day. And I think that’s part of our solution, folks. Let them see the light – because I feel we all need to get ready to take that next evolutional step in our universe very soon; for us to embrace it fully, we can’t be afraid of it, and afraid of our feelings – and in our current stage of evolution, the deeper and darker something is, the more afraid of it we seem to be.

So, onward – and outward. It’s in this place that I will let it all see the light!

Spirited Away

I did some heavy tripping on Saturday. I watched a lot of anime with Lucy, mainly Studio Ghibli works, including Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke and My Neighbor Totoro… I know, that’s a lot, but hey, I couldn’t sleep. Along the way I learned a lot about connections of ancient times of spirits that influence todays life styles. For instance the relationship Wolves have with Humans as discussed in Mononoke or how the River Spirit turned into a dragon in its next life. Basically what I’m saying is I wish I was exposed to these movies when I was younger. There are so many messages and morals that Disney missed.

I felt some strange things while I was watching these movies and hanging with a few friends. One thing that really stuck out was this strange feeling in the back of my neck and in my throat. I’m not sure how to describe it, it was kinda like an intense cotton mouth. I had strange bodily feelings that accompanied my throat; it felt like I slept on the floor for a few nights.

I realized something strange while with my friend bouncing off ideas. If you’ve read the previous post about Alternate Realities and were confused, here’s a little synapse. First off, we live in the 4th dimension. 3 space and 1 time dimension. So in math there would be an x, y, and z axis of space, and then one timeline dimension. If you add another time dimension, you’d be in the 5th dimension. This would make time a plane. This plane represents different timelines in space, each timeline is a different reality. Every instant in time you change your time line by the decisions you make. All the different realities and decisions you make every instant effect all the lines, not just of you, but of everyone. In our 4th dimension, only one reality exist, but in the 5th dimension, all realities exist. To put it simply, if you go back in time far enough, and you look at the 5th dimension, anything you can/can’t imagine exists, everything.

Now, I knew this all before this weekend, but I put it into perspective. Every time i win at something, or guess correctly on a test, or even get to class on time; there are an infinite amount of other worse possibilities out there in other dimensions. Similarly every time something bad happens, something great is happening in different reality. This thought was so enlightening; it made me feel neutral with the 5th dimension, as if all the bad and good was happening at once to me. It also made me feel in control, and powerful; I realized that the 4th dimension I live in is only as perfect as I make it.

Are you satisfied with the world the way it is? Do you think it is a world of peace, justice, harmony, and co-operation? If not, would you like to see a better world? Who do you think would make that happen?

Human nature is what it is. And what it is has created the world we live in today. To change it, we must rise above human nature and think and act from our spiritual nature. That is what the New Age movement is about.

If we all sit back and wait for someone else to do it for us, there will be no change. We are the world, and only we can change it. It is up to each one of us to do our part to raise our own consciousness, and to reach out and help raise the consciousness of the world.

What kind of world do you want to pass on to future generations – to your children, to your grandchildren? Would it be worth putting some time and attention to helping to change it?

Please consider joining in and helping create a better world for us all. Never underestimate the effect you can have – the part each one of us plays is important. And the more of us there are who join in, the faster we can make the vision of the New Age on Earth a reality.

In the 1980s, in the early days of the New Age movement, we did not have the Internet, yet we spread the vision of a New Age on Earth all over the world. Just think what we can achieve now!

Using the Internet, we can find other like-minded people in so many ways. Facebook, MySpace, blogs, forums, Yahoo, Google and MSN groups all offer a way to find other New Age people. Search engines allow us to find organizations and websites that are New Age related. Through services such as meetup.com we can find people and groups locally.

Through these avenues we can find other spiritual seekers. We can share information, inspiration and support. And it gives us an opportunity to educate others about the real meaning of the New Age movement, as a vision of both social and spiritual transformation to create a better world for all of us, and to invite them to join in.

Please consider using these tools to spread the message of the New Age revival. Each one of us has the ability to reach so many people so quickly. Working together, we can bring about the transformation of the world sooner than we might think!

We are all so busy with our own lives, with so many things to do and so much to occupy our time and attention; but should creating a better world have a low priority in our lives?

It doesn’t have to require a lot of time. If you are on a spiritual path, you are already participating at one level. When you do your spiritual practice, you can expand what you are doing to the world level. If your focus is on healing yourself, expand that out to heal the world. If your focus is on raising your own thought, expand that out to raising the consciousness of the whole world. If you are meditating for inner peace, expand that out to help create world peace. If you are working on healing relationships in your own life, expand that out to creating harmony and co-operation in the world.

Take a small step, and see where it leads. You might find a whole new path opening before you.

I discovered a website today ( or i think it discovered me?). 

  Included in it were some written and some video blog posts. 

  I found myself being strongly, kind of ‘pulled into’ the vibe of the thing, the woman whose site it is has (for me) an extremely strong psychic sort of  presence that was very compelling.   Much of what she speaks of is quite familiar to me, having spent so many years of my life investigating, exploring, experimenting and searching.. but most of all experiencing those deeper elements of life.  

It just reminded me of the person i ‘was’ and highlighted to me (as if i needed it highlighted!) just how far removed i have become from myself!

But… what am i going to do about it?!!!?

Oh.. i wont name the site just yet… …  let me see how it goes for a little while

We’ve spent quite a bit of time looking at symbolic dreams and how to get the information they bring to us.

But what if you don’t dream? Or don’t remember your dreams?

Full dreams tend to occur during the REM (Rapid Eye Movement) part of sleep. With few exceptions, most people experience REM at least once per sleep cycle (whether that is a full 8 hours or even during many naps), so data indicates that most of us are dreaming on a regular basis.

Many people don’t remember their dreams. Some don’t remember so deeply that they don’t even remember that they have dreamed.

That seems like a kind of impasse there, if you can’t interpret your dreams because you can’t remember them.

There is a way of working with that, though…

First, when you’re planning on interpreting your dreams, be sure you’ve got writing materials (pad and pencil/crayon and sketch pad/ birch bark and quill dipped in crushed berries/whatever floats your boat!) right next to the bed.

(When passing from dreaming to waking state, you come through several different levels of brain waves. If, on top of that, you visit the bathroom, go get a drink, then have to hunt around for something to write on, you might as well kiss that dream goodbye now and save yourself the trouble.)

Then when you’re in bed and drifting off to sleep, tell yourself repeatedly “Tonight, I will dream and I will remember my dream…”

If you sleep alone, you can do this out loud. If you share sleeping quarters, do this silently in your mind (it’ll work just as well).

The silent method is because you don’t want to weird out your sleep buddy, plus it’s far harder to dream if said buddy keeps thumping you with a pillow and saying “Will you hush up?!!!“

How does this work? As you pass from full alertness (Beta waves) down through Alpha, Theta and Delta waves, your mind becomes more receptive to suggestions you give yourself. You’re, in effect, retraining your body to remember.

(For the record, this is an extremely simple form of self-hypnosis. If you have questions about that, please feel free to comment or email).

This may work pretty quickly, or it may take more time to work, based on parameters such as how deep you sleep, how receptive you are to your own suggestions, how much your sleep buddy hits you with that pillow, etc.; but the bottom line is that, if you keep doing it, you will begin to remember your dreams.

And, lucky you! You just happen to know how to interpret them…

Not only was the not only present, I was not my only self, but the self that only had just begun to be herself–and that’s when the not only present had itself become itself.

Dec. 21 ,2012 is a date that has caught Hollywood’s attention recently,and in my opinion, unfortunately. So, to help out,  I’m going to relay what I know about the subject.
    First if you’re expecting earthquakes, plagues, rivers of blood, ect….well prepare to be disappointed.

   You see on 12/21/2012, the Mayan calendar comes to an end. Now the Mayan calendar is a cyclical one. It starts on 1Reed, moves through its sub-cycles untill 1Reed arrives again. This has happened 4 times and is about to  happen again. The 5th world will end and the 6th world will start.

I am getting my full-body armor out of the writing closet. What’s that, you may ask? My feeble analogy for what I’m preparing to do: Pitch my new book “The Last Year of Birdsong.”

For all writers who’ve been there — and still are — you understand what I mean. While I hate to use a battle analogy, I’m preparing myself to be lambasted by the inevitable rejections, ergo, the armor. Emotional protection from a very vested interest of work and time.

My sister-writers in this blog recently have experienced a severe bout of rejections. On a personal level – as a friend and reader —  I can tell you their books are amazing. On a professional and unbiased level, I can tell you their books are so worthy of publication. Their characters are compelling and well-rounded; their stories captivating.

And yet, agents offered the familiar mantra, the one I received countless times when “Deadly Habits” was roundly rejected: It wasn’t what they were looking for. It didn’t, in essence, knock their socks off.

So what are agents looking for? Obviously great writing and good stories. We’ve got that in spades. But as one of my sister-bloggers said, until the publishing industry gets over its current love affair with vampires, perhaps our characters should all have fangs.

In my heart of hearts, however, I’m not going to compromise. In fact, my next book does come from the heart. While it details the day-to-day adventures and struggles of a young girl growing up in Texas, it does have a metaphysical spin with other-worldly connections. Did I write it that way to make it “different?” No. That wasn’t my intent. But if that appeals to agents, all the better.

At this point, all I can do is go forward with my own personal three “P’s” — passion, persistence and professionalism. And I’ll do all that as I brace for the final “P” — pitching. So here I go, full body armor at the ready. Wish me luck, folks.

There is a great diversity of beliefs included under the New Age umbrella, and those of us who are in the New Age movement often find ourselves talking to people who believe things that we do not, and who do not believe what we believe. But at heart, these beliefs usually share a common basis.

In the 1980s, when the New Age movement was growing and flourishing, I attended many gatherings of New Age people. Meditation groups, discussion groups, musical presentations, workshops, networking events, all were filled with spiritual seekers of many different paths. And one of the things I found so wonderful at these gatherings was the loving acceptance that everyone showed one another. No one argued about beliefs; no one criticized another person’s path; no one even hinted that the other person was wrong for believing what they believed. Everyone joined together in loving support of one another, encouraging both the individual spiritual journeys and the commitment to the vision of the New Age movement. It was, in microcosm, a beautiful example of what the world could be like.

This is one thing we can all offer the New Age revivial – to bring that level of harmony, love and acceptance to our interactions with everyone we meet. Focus on our common ground, release (or enjoy!) the differences, and celebrate what brings us together. By doing this, we model for others how joyful such interaction can be. And every time we do this, we bring the mass consciousness a little closer to that harmony and acceptance that will help to create a better world.

In the following blog, I use tarot to explore spiritual issues facing the world today. Today’s blog is about difficult visits with family over the holidays. I know many people have loving holiday visits, but the cards I pulled approach the process as a difficult one. The assumption is that if your holiday visit is loving and wonderful, you wouldn’t need to consult the tarot for clarity.

Here’s reading:
When a person has been doing spiritual and healing work for years, how do they approach being with family over the holidays when that family 1) sees the old you and not the new and 2) isn’t doing spiritual or healing work as often or deeply as you are (or not at all). How are you supposed to act, when who you are, who you’ve become, just doesn’t seem to fit anymore?

We all know we revert to being a child when we’re around relatives. Accept that, but also ask yourself: How can I act like an adult? What could I do that would reveal the new more spiritual and by extension more loving me? When a conversation comes up that seems negative, what can I say that’s positive? How can I steer the conversation to love?

Know that the people around you are going through their own lives, their own difficulties, their own disappointments, and do not add to their burdens by judging them. Don’t be a narcissist…some spiritual work seems to turn people into self obsessed do-gooders. There are other people in the room. Extend yourself into their lives. Don’t just think of yourself and your own heightened spirituality. Think about them. Go up to them. Ask about their work and kids. From this spiritually healed place you believe yourself to be in, give of yourself.

Create an altar space in the room you’ll be sleeping in. This doesn’t have to be obvious. Objects like favorite stones, a photograph, a luxurious piece of fabric are fine, especially if you feel your Quan Yin statue might not go over well. Set up a little space in the room where you’re staying, so that when you go to bed at night and wake up in the morning, you’ll see a piece of yourself there. This will evoke home. The home of your soul.

Meanwhile, if you’re being triggered, keep a journal. Call it a Journal of Honesty. Vent. Scream. Bitch. Kvetch. Be honest with yourself about what’s bothering you. Let it rip. Get it out of you, so it doesn’t spill on everyone else.

Ask yourself:
1. Where is love lacking in this family? Where is love lacking in me?
2. What is triggering me and why?
3. In what specific ways that I see lack of growth around me in my family can I choose to work on in myself. If your family is judgemental, you may choose to look at how you’re judgemental and work on that spiritually.
4. What does success mean to your family and conversely what does success mean to you? Write down how they may judge your lack of success. Write down how successful your life has been outside of their expectations of you.
5. Expect to be triggered. There’s no easy way to be around people who are in your cells when you are trying to change and grow and heal and they are not. Use that triggering. Bring it back with you. Explore the rich vein of power that’s invoked by a visit to the people who’ve known us our entire lives.

The Ulterrans are a race of aliens that live on the opposite side of the electromagnetic barrier. This is like the mirror world. Many times people have come into contact with them by seeing them move in and out of reality. Not many know what they are and sometimes they are even called Shadow people. They are not shadow people though but aliens. One well known case is that of the pilot who flew over the Bermuda Triangle and saw an island that was not inhabited. During this time he flew somehow into a vortex which allowed him to see this. In his own time and dimension this same island is very inhabited. Yet another case is of Joseph Vorin. Joseph just popped into out dimension and landed in Germany. He spoke an unusual language and told of the country he came from. This place was called Laxaria in the country of Sakria. Some how and some way he dropped out of the dimension he was in. Many cases of this happen all the time but we brush them away. You can have coins,items and all kinds of things drop out of nowhere. Do these hold a magical power? YES! Everything holds an energy and that doesn’t even account for what the item was made for to begin with. I graduated from a highly ranked medical school seven years ago. I put my pursuit of medicine on hold 5 years ago, when I entered recovery for my alcoholism and addiction.  Since then, my path has morphed into something I never would have guessed.

When addiction is threatening your life, you quickly embrace the only known cure to mankind that shows some success–a spiritual one. I was living very near one of the largest metaphysical libraries in the US when my spiritual path started.  As I sat in AA meetings, hearing people talk about embracing “God” and trusting their “Higher Power”, I realized that I needed to figure out what I believed was out there…where I came from, who I really was, who was there to guide me, etc.

I went to that large metaphysical library. I walked up and down the shelf-ways browsing. I saw a book that caught my eye and I remembered that this book had fascinated me as a teenager. It was called “Messages from Michael” and was supposed channeled material that came through a Ouji board.

The biggest impact that the channeled Michael material had on me at the start of my path was this simple and incredible idea that changes everything: We ARE God and God IS love.

The material talks about how life as we know it is a sort of experiment being done by an all encompassing consciousness that is quite hard to fully comprehend.  It says we are extensions of  “God” or whatever you wish to call it, sent out like millions of little branches into the physical world, so that the consciousness can truly experience itself and ‘unfold’. It also explains that Love is the closest concept existing in our culture that describes what “God” is.

For a girl who saw her mother being beaten to St. Paul passages in the Bible, for a girl who as a child thought “God” would condemn her to an afterlife in hell for secretly listening to rock and roll songs, for a girl who had become angry and disgusted with the whole concept of “God”–this changed everything.

As I write this blog in the coming months as a sort of  journal, you will understand more about where I have come from.  My childhood experiences usually have the effect of leaving the listener’s jaw near the floor.  I was severely abused, isolated and denied an education yet went on to become an MD and a deeply compassionate, functional person.

But this blog is about something else.  I am a trained scientist-someone with a sharp mind and a deep respect for science, as I have used it myself to prevent someone’s death many times.  I am also surrounded by members of the “metaphysical” community-people who channel, energy heal, claim to see things that others cannot. I give these ideas outside the acceptance of mainstream western science a chance to seed in my mind. I do it by setting aside judgements as much as I can while I collect information and draw conclusions at later points, once I have truly listened.

The result? I feel small and humbled…just a girl in the world trying to make sense of the strange. I have decided that the best way to live, for me, is to leave no personal belief or paradigm built in stone.  If our beliefs are set in stone, we CAN live a happy life but I believe we  miss out on how incredible, magical and beyond our wildest dreams life truly is.

There are days I feel crazy.  There are days I change my mind. There are days I’m just too tired to challenge myself to think in a different way and instead I choose to watch silly reality shows and pretend I think  like everyone else.

But in truth, I have been given this incredible spot in life! I am part of a growing minority that believes things that others would consider a sign of mental illness. I do not think like the majority and I am grateful for it.  AND, I have studied the science and paradigms that the majority use to function well enough to maybe see things in a new unifying way between the world of science and the world of the metaphysical.

I refer to myself as a “girl” in this blog, because I am truly still a child in all of this.  Somewhere inside I am still exactly that same little person who stood in the freezing New Hampshire night, looking up at Orion’s belt and wondering what life was out there and would I get to understand it in my lifetime.

The things I have come to believe and understand today shatter and thrill my little girl’s perspective.  And I’m willing to bet that what I learn in just the next couple of years will also shatter and thrill my current paradigm! You see, I choose to be awake. I choose to challenge every idea and take nothing for granted. It is a magical way to live, and for me the only way to live in these times.

Hadron Collider

I never really knew why we spent so much money on the Large Hadron Collider until it was fixed this past week. It is now once again creating millions of collisions a second, 600 million to be precise. It has over 20,000 processors on two floors of a super cooled computer and millions of magnets tracking the infinitely small particles movements. Why do we care about what happens when sub atomic particles collide, it doesn’t happen naturally on earth. It is because in the “0 second”  that the collision happens in, “creates” an alternate universe. HOW? Well, apparently when some collisions happen, we trace a “God Particle” that is basically the smallest thing; and could possibly replace string theory. In lamest terms, these “God Particles” are everywhere (even in vacuums), but only when such a collision happens, can we track them with magnets. Apparently these particles exist in multiple dimensions, which to say, is more than 4 (3 space, 1 time). This is fairly true about all particles, except God particles might allow us to move between different 4 dimensional realities (HAHA! Alternate Realities). How? This is not quite answered, but most-likely would involve some sort of black-hole device… sigh, where are you friendly aliens?
