MethodMan and RedMan, who rose to fame as members of the Wu-Tang Clan, will perform at Toad’s Place in New Haven, CT on September 10, 2009. The September 10, 2009 show will give fans a chance to redeem themselves after the infamous July 26 no-show.
Originally, MethodMan, RedMan, and Ghostface Killah, were scheduled to perform at Toad’s on July 26, 2009. That night, fans waited until 1:00 a.m. – only to find MethodMan and RedMan had not shown up for the performance as scheduled; Luckily, Ghostface, was brave enough to perform alone for a full house of angry fans. After the infamous no-show, Meth and RedMan attempt to redeem themselves on the September 10, 2009 show.

I’m still on the Red and Meth tip. It’s my blog and I can talk about what the FUCK I want. HAHA! Naw, seriously, I give homage to Funk Doctor Spock and Johnny Blaze for their longevity and relevance to hip hop. The contributions that Redman and Method Man have given Hip Hop is tremendous. I have successfully failed to update my blog in 9 months. That’s how lazy/forgetful I am. Not that anyone really cares. I think I might have (maybe) one reader, who might or might not be my mom. Uhdunno. But annnyyywaayy, I have been kind of busy with adjusting to college life and all that. But I can’t really claim that as a source of “distraction” since I didn’t really do that much studying. And I guess I could have been updating during those few classes that I just so happened to miss…everyday.
But I swear it’s not because I was smoking weed everyday or doing anything illegal like that. And especially not during 4/20. I just got caught up. Nahmean? But now it’s summertime! And I got free time out the wazoo to waste as much time as I want. Huzzah, dammit! Heh. In any event, to celebrate the fact that I remembered that I have a blog. Here’s my top 5 potheads list:

After appearing in such versatile roles as a stoner-who’s-on-the-run from cops in Pineapple Express, a stoner-who-gets-a-girl-pregnant in Knocked Up, as well as a stoner-who-helps-his-friend-get-laid in The 40 Year Old Virgin, Seth Rogen has solidified himself as one of the premier comedic geniuses of our generation.

Cheech and Chong paved the way for stoner films with “Up in Smoke”. Been smoking for way too long to not get included.

Wu-Tang swordsman and bluntwielder. One of the best voices in hip-hop, and plus he smokes nonstop.

My number one MC, I had to give him his own spot and split up the tag team. One of the most under-appreciated rappers ever. Plus he’s funny and crazy as hell. Just try to find a video of him not smoking, or looking like he didn’t just smoke. Quite a tall order.

Now its one thing to hear it from us about how the 90’s were the best and rawest years of hip hop; but when you here it from the O.G.’s of hip hop how can you deny it? How can you possibly go against 3 of the realest MC’s to ever bless hip hop?

For over a decade the former Hit Squad member Redman and Wu-Tang veteran Methodman have joined forces on albums, movies, and tours. Their latest collaboration “Black Out 2″ picks up where the first one left off 10 years ago. But the question isn’t are they still any good? It’s more like “how are they still so good???”.  The Duo is pushing 40 years young and unless its something special in the kush they smoking, they shouldn’t be the Roger Clemens of rap (getting better as you get older). Let’s look at some of their best lines from the album.
