College leaves me an exceedingly small amount of time to think about things like tennis, much less regularly update the blog. In all honesty, I’m not even sure if this site is still in my own Google Reader…that’s probably a bad sign. The good news is that I’ve finally mustered up the willpower to crank up the good ole’ Excel machine. I think that, at least in the short-term, I’ll try to tackle some slightly smaller projects that don’t require copying massive amounts of data by hand into Excel. SQL continues to vex me, and, as such, I am still without a long-term data acquisition solution.

But I digress. In my last post, I used Roger Federer’s 2009 campaign as data to measure (quantitatively) the differences between the surfaces. We did determine that these differences, but surprisingly, they were not nearly as drastic as I would have expected. Aces, at least, made sense: Federer served the best at Wimbledon, and the worst at Roland Garros, although the difference between the two amounted to about 4 serves/100. Federer, interestingly, hit winners at a constant rate on all surfaces, and actually registered his highest rate on the clay. He also hit errors at a relatively constant rate, with the notable exception of Wimbledon. The logical questions are

Do these trends apply to all players, or just Roger? (I’ll look at this one tomorrow hopefully)

Are these trends subject to significant variation based on quality of play? (Surely they are; I’ll look at Federer’s historical performances at these majors to see how they fit together soon)

Are we even measuring the right thing? (I’m addressing this one today)

The New Metrics: An Introduction

Obviously, rate-neutral winners and errors are useful statistics to consider, but they rarely tell the entire story. For curiosity’s sake, I computed winners as a percentage of points won; this number essentially quantifies the number of points won via winner, and may therefore be a useful measure of a player’s relative aggression on the court (more on this later). I’ve also computed unforced-errors as a percentage of points lost; this, too, may help us know if a player is “pushing” as he plays.

Similarly, if we divide Winners/100 by Errors/100, we see our old friend Winners/Errors; notice how this stat is rate independent (if we just divided total winners by total errors, we would arrive at the same figure). In this case, I devised two new statistics:

Serve independent WE ratio (SIWE) – essentially divides (winners-aces)/100 by errors/100

Percentage WE ratio (PSWE) – essentially divides (winners as a percentage of points won) by (errors as a percentage of points lost)

Results

Interestingly, I’m not sure that these charts tell me much of anything new. All we can say for sure, is that for Federer, at least, Wimbledon is enormously different. The question remains: is this because of the surface, or the playing style?

Mesothelioma is a disease that can be easily recognized because the symptoms are rarely the initial

Mesothelioma is a disease that can be easily recognized because the symptoms are rarely the initial phase of the body. Even with the symptoms of the disease is difficult to diagnose because the symptoms are very common with other diseases.

In this context, patients may be doctors' stories to help diagnose the disease. Therefore, doctors ask about the health of a patient if they suspect mesothelioma may be the case. Then the radiograph is performed and whenrequest CT or MRI is performed.

With these scans, the amount of liquid possible, if it exists, see, and this liquid is then aspirated with a syringe. While a pleural tap is used to extract the liquid fluid in the pericardial effusion by pericardiocentesis. Paracentesis is performed in that fluid in the stomach.

If proved, these fluids provide evidence of mesothelioma failing, doctors more tests on patients,Conditions significantly. At this stage, usually a biopsy is performed and tissue sent to the pathologist for microscopic examination. Depending on the location of the tumor, the methods used for the biopsy, they differ from each other. An example of breast cancer, thoracoscopy is performed to obtain tissue, in which the physician to insert small incision of the chest wall between the ribs and a thoracoscope. In this way, the doctor may examine the inside of the chest cavity, extractSamples of tissue for microscopic examination.

On the other hand, obtain samples of tissue from a patient mesothelioma in the abdominal cavity, a laparoscopy is done. During this process a very small incision on the abdomen areas large enough to do to put an instrument into the abdomen. Sometimes the procedure is not sufficient to remove sufficient tissue for microscopic tests, and if this is the case, another major surgery should be performed.

…read The Perfect Rep, by T-Muscle contributing writer, Christian Thibaudeau. Of course I’m biased here (because this is precisely how I train the vast majority of my time in the gym), but this is, bar none, the best explanation of how each rep of a workout ought to be executed that I have ever come across. Thibs tends to frame the process in terms of “force” and “acceleration”, whereas I choose to use the term “power” but, in essence, we’re both talking about the same phenomenon. Speed of execution and cns stimulation reigns; the actual weight used takes a back seat – a mere means to an end. The number of reps and sets in a particular movement are used only as a gross quantification of more specific auto-regulation. And truth be told, I’m quite sure that the most well-known (notice I said “well-known”, not “the best”) strength and conditioning coaches realize that this training method is, in fact, the bedrock methodology required in the building of an efficient athlete (or a bodybuilder, for that matter). It’s not the only method, of course – but I would go so far as to say that it ought to comprise the backbone of all weightroom methodologies. Are raw strength and RFD important? No doubt, they are. But only insofar as their correlative contribution to peak power production, and the rapid recovery and repeatability of that power production. It’s a cyclic, yin-yang natured thing, improving a trainee’s athleticism. And for those interested primarily in bodybuilding, or just “lookin’ good nekkid”? Yep, this is a bedrock methodology for those folks, too. The only difference here is that I’d revert away from this methodology at a little greater frequency so as to pursue other more “TUL-heavy” protocols. Like any methodology, you can only wring so much out of it before you’ll have to shift to something different. When to shift and for how long becomes just another variable to learn to master.

But back to the point I was establishing before I slipped into the bodybuilding thought: why is Thibs’ “Anaconda” methodology not more generally recognized? Because it can’t be readily quantified, that’s why. It’s a touchy-feely, nebulous and dare I say, vague idea to try to get across. You can’t put a hard number on effort, speed, acceleration, intensity…feel. How do you package something like that? (other than to tie it to a pricey supplement ) It’s the same with auto-regulation; akin to the Paleo diet, in that the devil resides squarely within the individual implementation of the theory. Concepts that are repeat with subtleties, ambiguities, and yes, sometimes out-and-out contradictions. Concepts that only transfer fractionally, at best, via the written word. Has anyone ever learned a martial art from a book? Volumes could (and have) been written about the martial arts; how, though, is a craft that must be passed on in the presence of the teacher. To a lesser extent, the same is true with this manner of training. Not “getting it” doesn’t mean it’s ineffective, or not applicable to you, it simply means you probably require hands-on instruction, continual guidance – at least until you reach that point where you can fly on your own.

The short clip at the end of the article is good as well. Notice the difference in execution speed between Kevin (the bodybuilder) and Nate (the athlete). It would be interesting to film this using Dartfish technology so as to be able to figure the total power output difference between these two guys, and then compare that output to perceived effort. Over time, one could then set up a bio-feedback loop where maximum power is generated at some known (kinetically) speed and correlated perceived effort.

Enjoy the article, and let me know what you think.

In health,
Keith

I am most productive when I am interested in the work I’m doing.

I am most productive when I have a due date, and there is a real person expecting my results on that date, and especially if I know that the client of my efforts will be in a difficult position if I don’t deliver – in other words, the deadline is not an arbitrary.

I am most productive when I get out of the perfectionist mindset and into the just-get-it-done mindset. This tends to happen on every project as the deadline looms. I need to get better at making the switch sooner. Some people have the just-get-it-done mindset by default. These people amaze me, they are maximally productive by habit.

When I have not been productive, I feel:

anger at myself, for sliding back into the same bad habits again

dread, over having to tell the boss/client that it’s going to be late, and having to make excuses

fear, of contacting stakeholders for further information, because now they will realize that I’m just starting the work

despair, that I’ll ever get my life going in the direction I want it to go

Tactics that rarely incent me to work harder:

meticulous planning

obsessing over the consequences of non-performance

deadlines set far in the future

setting personal rewards for completing work on time

If you own rental properties, you should consider selling the note to an investor guide. This can he

If you own rental properties, you should consider selling the note to an investor guide. This can help you get a lump sum of cash to pay debts, medical expenses, tuition fees or other expenses. The amount of money you can receive depends on various performance factors such as the nature and location of the property, interest rate and credit history. If you have never sold a property, known to an investor, it would be wise to do research on or with aprofessional to fully understand the process.

The first step to selling your guidance notes to a private investor to provide information about your property. Potential investors want the denomination of the note, debt, interest rate, how many payments were made, to know if the current note or criminals, and the asking price. Before organizing the conversation with investors, be sure your documents and have everything ready when youmeet.

In general, investors need a couple of days to consider your proposal and make you an offer immediately. If you accept the offer, the additional documents may be resolved before the deal may be necessary. (However as I tested infomap on some real network data it didn’t do well as when it was applied on the artificial benchmark networks. The best way would be trying several methods and picking up a method resulting the highest modularity for your data.)

Golfer's elbow is the funny bone in the elbow. E 'also known as medial epicondylitis. It can occur in tennis players and other people who then attack again and again firmly. The elbow is a hinge joint made up of three bones that act as mechanical connection between the arm and forearm. The main differences between these conditions are the location of the pain and the activity that led to injury. Golfer's elbow or medialTennis elbow affects people with their hands in their work, which means that anyone could go. Golfer's elbow can be caused by golf, as the name suggests, a process of continuous piece of turf with the ball, but not exclusively on players golf. Golfer's Elbow Tennis Elbow is similar to that on the other side of the elbow. The muscles that bend the wrist downward from this point. Powerful and frequent use of the wrist and fingersBecause the rupture of small muscles and tendons in this area. Golf is just one of the causes of pain in the bones.

Golfer's elbow or medial epicondylitis, is a form of tendinitis. The name of the doctor Tennis Elbow (epicondylitis) and golfer's elbow (medial epicondylitis) come from the names of these bony prominences where the tendons insert, and if the inflammation that causes pain. In rare cases, inflammation, no particular reason, and thisMay suffer from arthritis, rheumatism or gout. elbow injury is relatively common among athletes. Adolescents and the elderly are most at risk adolescents because their bones and ligaments grow, adults and senior citizens as the ligaments and tendons lose their normal elasticity with age. Sometimes the problem is wholly or partly by a problem that causes pain in the neck elbows on the nerves of the neck. These conditions generally and in particular those aged 35-50Years, and men and women.

Causes of Golfer's elbow

Epitrochleitis The most common causes and risk factors are:

Overuse of the flexor muscles of the forearm.
Carpenters hand tools on the occasion.
Muscular imbalance.
Reduced flexibility.
Direct injury or bang.
Prolonged activity of grip, such as hammers, screw, weightlifting, rowing, digging in the garden and drive.

SymptomsEpitrochleitis

Some signs and symptoms, golfer's elbow are connected as follows:

Tenderness and pain at the epicondyle.
Swing a golf club or the noise.
Pick up something with the palm down.
Weakness of the wrist.
Pain on flexion (bending down on the palm of the wrist), is opposed.
Contraction of the muscles of the forearm.
Stiffness or trouble moving the elbow or hand.
Forearm pain.
Foreigners side forearm pain – the inner side affects tennisElbow.

Treatment of Golfer's elbow

Here is the list of methods for the treatment of elbow golfer is as follows:

Treatments may include physical therapy, heat / ultrasound therapy.
Reduce the load on the elbow: Wrap the elbow with an elastic bandage or use a forearm strap.
Consider other drugs: if over-the-counter painkillers are not effective, your doctor may suggest a cortisone injection to reduce pain and swelling.
Electrical stimulation to relieve pain and improve healing of collagen.
Apply heat to the elbow, only when you are moving again. Then use before stretching or are ready to bring the sport.
You should apply ice on the elbow 20 to 30 minutes every 3 or 4 hours for 2 or 3 days or until the pain.
A commonly used surgery for golfer's elbow should be issued to the medial epicondyle. This intervention was tension on the flexorTendons.

Present: I know you’re no expert in this subject, but I gave up puffing that ugly stick for the past 2.5 months but recently had the inclination to go back to my wayward habits again, what can you offer?

Future: I have not tried the patches, gums, psychologists, yoga, etc but what I can offer you is my advice!

In line with the Lifestyle Recalibration, this is a good opportunity for you to STOP, once and for all! Here are Marc Woo’s 5 ways to stop smoking!

Move to Singapore - If the price and convenience won’t deter you, I’m pretty sure being seen as a social outcast will! Imo, smoking in Singapore is like taking coke in the UK. Not cool!

Run Marathons - With this goal at hand, you will be disciplined and learn to maintain focus. Unfortunately this also applies to sweating out everyday at the gym/runs and compromising on food!

Sperm Count Meter – Adopt paternal inclinations, develop strong desires to have kids and embed paranoia that every puff you take will literally kill off millions of your little offsprings. Like watching someone get kicked in forbidden territory, you’d somehow mentally share the pain!

Fancy “that sort” of Woman - I know it’s easier said than done, but I had experienced being in long term relationships with women (gals) who are totally against the idea of their man smoking. These sort of women will get so upset that you wont have any sort of comfort until you promise them (and deliver) the world. They go absolutely mental if they catch a whiff of tobacco from you and they will inflict pain so great that it’s probably worthwhile to quit smoking. And no amount of perfume, mint or medicated oil will hide the smell. Tried and tested!

Mind over Matter – Finally, it’s just being mentally strong. Grow a pair, take the dive and say eff off to ever smoking again. And stick to it!

Good luck!

You know, we like to think of ourselves as these beings of pure intelligence that happen to ride around in fleshy bodies. But the truth is, we ARE our bodies, and our bodies have a huge influence over our mental states. *

What have I done so far today? I could list 15 things I’ve accomplished, but they can all be stated as “sitting at the computer and…”. As far as my body is concerned, I’ve been sitting still for hours. No wonder I start to get bored, restless, have trouble concentrating, can’t force myself to work anymore, want to do something fun! And if I do take a break to email a friend or watch some movie trailers, in other words still “sitting at the computer and…”, NO WONDER I still don’t feel like working afterwards!

Physical action is so important to feeling good, happy and willing to work! Paradoxically, even getting up from the computer to take out the garbage and empty the dishwasher can lift my mood. Walking to the store and back can replenish my mental energies enough to allow me to finish up a work task that was depressing me, before.

Get up and move, keep your body happy and your mind will follow.

-J

———

*this also explains why it’s so hard to avoid temptation. A craving is more than just your mental desire for something (junk food, drugs, sex), a craving is your body’s way of MAKING you do something that it thinks it needs! That’s why dieting doesn’t work. That’s why you can’t talk teens into not having sex. For every craving, there are good and bad ways to respond — but you WILL respond, eventually. The body always wins.

Santiago Ramón y Cajal originally described spines in the dendrites of neurons in the cerebellum back in the late 19th century, but it wasn’t until the mid 1950’s with the development of the electron microscope that these structures were shown to be synaptic structures. Although it has been known that the number of dendritic spines changes during development and in association with learning, most studies have inferred the changes by looking at static time points rather than monitoring individual spines in the same animal over time, partly, due to the difficulty of tracking a single structure of about 0.1 micrometer in size (0.0001 mm). But new advances in imaging technology have allowed researchers to ‘follow’ individual spines over time both in vitro and in the whole animal.

Purkinje Cell by S Ramon y Cajal

Dendritic spines are no longer thought of as the static structures of Ramón y Cajal’s (or even my) generation, but rather dynamic structures that can be added and eliminated from individual dendrites. And because each spine is associated with a synaptic input, and because their structure and dynamic turnover is known to have a profound effect on neuronal signaling, one cannot but be tempted to propose that they are associated with specific aspects of memory formation.

Two developments have made it possible to monitor individual dendritic spines at different time points in the same animal: the ability to incorporate fluorescent molecules into transgenic mice that make the spines visible under fluorescent illumination, and the development of in vivo transcranial two photon imaging that allow researchers to go back to that individual dendrite and monitor how the dendritic spines change over time. Two papers published in Nature make use of these techniques to look at how dendritic spines change in the motor cortex of mice that have learned a motor task.

In one, Guang Yang, Feng Pan and Wen-Biao Gan looked at how spines changed when either young or adult mice were trained in to learn specific motor strategies. They observed that spines underwent significant turnover, but that learning the motor task increased the overall number of new spines and that a small proportion of them could persist for long periods of time. They calculated that although most of the newly formed spines only remained for about a day and a half, a smaller fractions of them could still persist for either a couple of months or a few years. Based on their data they suggest that about 0.04% of the newly formed spines could contribute to lifelong memory.

Dendritic spine by Tmhoogland

Another study by Tonghui Xu, Xinzhu Yu, Andrew J. Perlik, Willie F. Tobin, Jonathan A. Zweig, Kelly Tennant, Theresa Jones and Yi Zuo did a similar experiment, but using a different motor training task. Like the Yang group, they also saw that training leads to both the formation and elimination of spines. Although newly formed spines are initially unstable, a few of them can become stabilized and persist longer term. Further, training made newly formed spines more stable and preexisting spines less stable. The authors interpret their results as an indication that during learning there is indeed a ‘rewiring’ of the network and not just addition of new synapses.

The two papers were reviewed by Noam E. Ziv & Ehud Ahissar in the News and Views section. Here they raise the issue that, if such a small number of spines are to account for the formation of stable memories, then what are the consequences of the loss of a somewhat larger number of spines on the neuronal network?

For someone like me that more than once as an undergraduate used a microscope fitted with a concave mirror to use the sunlight to illuminate the specimen, the ability to monitor individual synaptic structures over time in a living organism can only be described as awesome. But, as pointed out by Ziv and Ahissar,

“[…] although it remains to be shown conclusively that these forms of spine remodeling are essential components of long-term learning and not merely distant echoes of other, yet to be discovered processes, these exciting studies make a convincing case for a structural basis to skill learning and reopen the field for new theories of memory formation.”

“Liberty means responsibility. That is why most men dread it.”

- George Bernard Shaw

I spend the vast majority of my workout time laboring in the power zone. But what does that mean, exactly? Other than the fact that I devote an inordinate amount of blog space to droning on about it Well, the fact of the matter is that the “power zone” is to exercise (ergo, physical ability) as Paleo is to diet; this, my friends, is your body, at it’s best and most able, engaging with the natural world. But where exactly is the power zone located on the continuum from “rapid force development” (something we’ll consider in an upcoming post) to the production of “raw strength” and, for illustration purposes, what are some practical exercise examples along the way? First, let’s look at things from a 30, 000 foot view (Note: this is not intended to be an all-encompassing representation, but more of a generalized progression):

Now, many people become confused when the term “power” is bandied about in relation to weightlifting, and this is usually attributed to the term’s unfortunate association with the sport of power lifting, a sport that is seriously misnamed and, I’m sure suffering an identity crisis as a result; the sport should more properly be called strength lifting, or raw strength lifting – something along those lines. Real power lifting, of course, is more fully exhibited in the sport of Olympic lifting, where speed of movement execution is of paramount importance. I don’t bring this up so as to be a schoolmarm of sorts, but to point out the correct association of speed to power production. And it has always been my contention that (with equal skills) the athlete who possesses the greater power/bodyweight ratio in a particular set of movements is, hands down, the better athlete.

That said, let’s zoom in a little closer, and take a look specifically at the power zone:
In many of my workout write-ups you will see the term speed-strength or strength-speed emphasis used as an identifier – what I’m identifying is, which of the two available power equation variables it is that I’m choosing to emphasize in a particular workout. If you look at the elementary power equation (which is fine for our purposes), you see that there are only two variables for a given movement that we can realistically affect – speed and external loading. Yes, “distance” may vary slightly between similar movements, but not enough, in relation to speed and load, to precipitously effect the overall outcome.

In considering the overhead press as an example, here, we can see that as I slide the fulcrum from dead-center toward the left that I begin to enter to realm of added speed emphasis, and hence the realm of the “jerk” variation of the movement. In contrast, sliding the fulcrum further to the right has one loading up the bar – but at the expense of execution speed; the push-press would be a good example here. Now we’re in the realm of strength-speed, with the movement still rather fast in relation to raw strength or bodybuiling-type movements, yet “slow” in relation to that same movement done with an emphasis placed on speed. Ideally in this zone what I’m shooting for is an equal and overall high power production from the movement – a play of speed against external load – attempting to hone in one the sweet spot of peak power production from the particular movement. Realistically, though – and as is expressed in Olympic style lifting (and in the Oly derivatives) – speed of execution will trump external load. That is to say, once external loading has increased to the point of slowing the movement down, power production will begin to suffer.

I’ll touch on these concepts a little more in some upcoming posts.

In health,

Accessing Files from a Teachers Computer

Well I’m sure that there are some people who would love to just access their teachers computer to see what files they have, say their Excel Spreadsheets of grades, or even student references, so here is a few ways you can do this.

Depending on how stupid your teacher is, you could just easily plug a USB memory stick, about a 4 or 8 GB, into the teachers computer and take the files you want to have a look at.

Following the first point, if you are doing ICT and your teacher has work up on her computer to show the class, ask her if you can have a look at some code or what a part looks like, plug the memory stick in and you have a bit of time to get some files.

Get some “Remote Access” programs and connect your laptop to the schools network, but make sure you aren’t being discoverable if using Vista, and access the teachers files, although this might only work with knowing the teachers password.

Although many people with have alot of different methods to doing this, I found that 2. was really good. I advised my friend to use that method, and with success. He managed to find files in the teachers documents containing predicted grades for every student’s A2 examinations, aswell as student references from the subject teacher.

The second method can be used for more than just getting documents though. If the teacher uses Mozilla Firefox, you can access all his/her saved passwords as long as they haven’t set a master password.

Enjoy trying this out!

If your idea of building a house in Thailand seems to be enjoying this article about building a hous

If your idea of building a house in Thailand seems to be enjoying this article about building a house in Thailand can help you. There are many facets to building a house from the building permit for the final construction. For the sake of keeping this not too long, we'll assume you have already bought land and obtained a building permit.

There are different agreements can be built with builders in Phuket, Thailand. You can hire people to do the work for youand pay them a daily wage. Evaluation methods may work well enough, but there are some drawbacks. In general, workers will not move upwards to extend the productivity of work for more. You can also find the costs can spiral out of control, because it will not be able to calculate how long something will last. The other problem is that you need each day to ensure that payment is not made for people who are not visible, or nonexistent.

Another variation on the theme is what you do for workand buy your materials. The Master offers a quote for the work for the entire work. In general, the client does not include things such as electrical, decking, doors and windows. Want to make sure what and what is not included in the price at which they enter. They also want to be able to pay them as soon as they hit certain milestones in the construction phase.

A variant of a good friend does, its manufacturers pay a daily wage times the number of people who worked on your site. For example, if the customer has ten people on the site, pays his builder about one hundred fifty percent going rate for his work, but the manufacturer has for them to be responsible. The contractor has his money on the difference in markup pays his people, and charge that he was my friend.

You can also hire people small jobs on the meter, what the Thais as "work". This means that you pay for their work to be done. This is in painting and rendering teams where they sharedk now how long it will take and buy only the materials. It's the only thing you have to look here, they tend to materials, waste, when they take this.

Pay the manufacturer to all the work is very common on the island do. To build a small bungalow in this way about four years ago as a model of unity. One important thing to have to see here is the builder usually requires a large deposit and we will wait a long time for them to start your home. Many owners keep theDeposits farung ignorant and have never returned the money, even if brought to court and win. Manufacturers' confidence is never too much and always have a start and end your contract.

The last way I like to talk, is when you can rent your team and makes the work with the Thai workers. Rent One way to do this, a foreman who has contacts in Issan and get five to ten events on the bus to work to find housing project. It is necessary for the transport and payment –have to build housing for them. If the project is completed, it will take the bus home.

In summary, there are many ways you can review the setting of a manufacturer or Thai, build your house for you to Phuket, Thailand to go. You can create your own rent, lease and pay day or pay as you go. You can choose to build with the builder or construction companies or rental and your your way. We're building a house in Phuket can be a rewarding experience, if you have timeto try.

Educators appear to share the same viewpoint – students aren’t inherently bad – it’s the bad system that’s to blame.

Nguyen Bac Dung, president of the Tran Dai Nghia Gifted High School in HCM City, says the biggest pressure on students and teachers nowadays is to perform well in exams.

However as students learn specifically to pass exams and teachers base their lessons around it, it has caused its own problems.

Dung stresses that this way of teaching and learning will not produce real talent. “The overly hard pressure on students will lead to the fact that students will not be fit for work after they finish schools,” he said.

In other countries in the world, social activities take up to 50 percent of students’ time. Meanwhile, in Vietnam, according to Dung, 99 percent of time is spent learning. Therefore, a lot of parents prefer to send children abroad to study at because they want children to learn in countries with modern education systems.

According to Le Trong Tin, headmaster of the Nguyen Khuyen High School, students always complain about heavy curriculums, which, he says, is because Vietnam does not provide good career guidance.

Tin said in other countries, students at 10th grade are advised on decisions as to whether they will go to vocational schools, colleges or universities.

Tin’s conception is that students themselves are not naturally bad students, and that, instead, unreasonable teaching method should be blamed.

“Every student has specific capability he said. “The job of the teachers is to discover the capability of students to have suitable teaching method”.

Tin said that with the viewpoint, Nguyen Khuyen School has had suitable teaching method, 12 students of the school came first at the 2009’s university and junior college entrance exams.

“It is necessary to classify students and apply suitable teaching method to every of them,” he said.

Head teacher of Trung Phu High School Nguyen Phung Quoc Hung agreed, saying his school accepts all students. After that, the school classifies the students based on capability. Teachers will focus on improving weak students, cultivating good students and helping excellent students to become greater talents.

Nevertheless, educators stressed teachers alone “cannot create talents on an empty stomach”. With the current pay scheme, teachers dare only wish to get enough money to cover basic needs.
