Mia and Alyssa Bernal another youtube sensation have been hanging out with each other in underground London.. Mia shows Lyss how to use an Oyster Card.

A few days ago Mia went to Puma event where she went into a race car and drove around a track at speeds of up to 250km/h (155m/h). Here is a simple tranlation.. Mostly done by Gwen from the Forum but I have added a little too.

When I got onto a plane and fly I find it natural.. like drinking a cup of water. When I want to drive really fast in a race car, that is another thing.

She admits that she is not really prepared for it, but will give it a good shot before she embarks on the Cougar Driving Experiance which took place at the Estoril Autodrome Racetrack.

(From my understanding)
She says.. It is a litttle bit impulsive, but she wants to overcome her fears, and that this is one of the obstacles that she will have to pass to overcome that fear..

Please correct me if Iam wrong there. My Portuguese is a little greasy!

Also she went with Ana Free to “The Other Man” movie premier. Ana free says that they had alot of popcorn fights..

This is Mia and her Boyfriend Lourenço Ortigão taken from Sapo TV website Portugal. Their is an article that explains how they met at University of England and it was “Love at first sight” Also states that she knows that many girls that are fans of her music are jealous of her boyfriend, but she is not scared that one of her fans will steal her boyfriend who has been there to support her all the way.

Mia uploaded a new photo to her twitter page.  She took this one in London 2 days ago. Along the Thames river in Chelsea.

There has been no word on Mias progress but her boyfriend Laurenco has been busy shooting for a TV show he now stars in. For those of you who can read Portuguese go to this Temporary Official Fansite for Laurenco (it will be getting its own domain soon..) Here you will find all the recent videos and information about Laurenco. I would not mind to have a Laurenco section here in English but I do not have the time to do all the translations. Thanks to all who have sent me messages of well wishes for the baby. I want to let you all know that Baby Alanna was born on the 6th of September @ a healthy 3.02kg. I have only been home for the last 2 days since I left hospital.

If you’re  a regular visitor to my blog, you already know that I’ve been watching Portuguese singer/songwriter/musician Mia Rose as she crawls her way out of her bedroom and into the release of her first single. I’ve followed this little cutie on You-Tube for a couple of years at least and I think she has such potential. 

From the moment I stumbled across her voice I just got the feeling she would hit it big, so I began to follow her career. Finally now, she’s getting an opportunity to prove what I’ve known all along.  She will no doubt raise eyebrows in the upper eschelon of the recording industry.  I believe you have their attention now, and  Mia, they’re setting their sites on you- run like hell!

The first vid I had up here had some technical issues so I replaced it with this video compilation + the song I want you to hear. I guess it’s more important to actually hear her.  Here’s a link to her You-Tube site.

I sincerely hope she remains Indie (Independentl), those record industry execs can really  ruin an artist. The problem is, they can afford for maximum exposure and to saturate the market with her music, that’ll definitely get her rich but will it get her respect?  Hmm..I used to love Jewel until she started whoring herself  out ~to Target!  GGrrr…. They’ve got her all gussied up now and in new clothes that aren’t even her style. Yep, they’ve changed her and in my opinion, not for the better. 

Two weeks ago I told you how Mia released her first single to I-Tunes.  If you like this post chances are you’ll  like  that one  too. I added a little more background on this up and coming artist. She has come a long way but her voice remains that of a song-bird.
