Today marks the 46th anniversary of the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. When I first started in system administration, I asked a colleague who was talking about SNMP what the ETLA* stood for.

His response: Simply Not My Problem.

SNMP – The Simple Network Management Protocol, is something that a lot of people get hung up over in relation to NetWorker. There’s usually two complaints:

1. Why do I have to pay for SNMP integration?
2. Where’s the MIBs?

The first question is more easily answered after answering the second; there are no MIBs (well, no official MIBs) for NetWorker. NetWorker doesn’t support being controlled by SNMP; instead, its SNMP “module” simply supports sending SNMP traps – broadcasts onto the network.

So now we return to the first question – why do I have to pay for SNMP integration?

The short answer is you don’t. I wouldn’t. If I were back to being a regular system administrator and someone walked in with a quote for NetWorker and included the SNMP module in it, I’d grab the quote and draw a big red line through it as being a complete waste of money.

Why pay for being able to send SNMP traps when there are free tools available for practically every operating system that allow you to do just that?

As to whether you should get hung up about NetWorker not natively supporting SNMP traps without any additional licensing – honestly, it’s not worth getting worked up about. NetWorker has a very extensible notification system where you can assign any action (read: executable with any command line actions) to practically any event within the system. With that much flexibility you can whack a free SNMP utility on the system and go to town.

Хочу написать пару слов об опыте изучения немецкого языка в стенах почти что любимой Высшей Школы Менеджмента СПбГУ.

Лет 5 назад я плотно занималась немецким языком, но нужно было поступать в ВУЗ после окончания школы, и я курсы забросила. Прошли годы, я попала в магистратуру ВШМ, где мне предложили выбрать один из языков в качестве дополнительного – немецкий, испанский или французский. Я по привычке выбрала немецкий.

После недолгих раздумий и оценки остаточных “немецко-лингвистических” познаний, я определила сама себя в группу уровня A1 (самые-самые начинающие). И не зря! Я попала к отличному преподавателю (Татьяна Владимировна Замятина) и ничуть об этом не жалею.

Сначала была организационная встреча, на которой нам объяснили, что нужно купить учебники начального уровня, какие именно, а первое занятие в группе назначили аж после 15 сентября (что-то там не срослось сразу).

А далее все пошло как по маслу. Занятия проходят очень динамично, у тебя нет времени отвлечься или заняться посторонними делами. Все объяснения со стороны преподавателя – только на немецком. Каждый студент успевает за пару довольно много поговорить; материалы преподносятся в доступной и запоминающейся форме (слайды с яркими картинками, видео с youtube’а, аудирование). В общем, когда мы уставшие и довольные расходимся после занятия, то в голове уже все разложено по полочкам, и ничего дома “заучивать” не надо, надо только повторять.

Еще одна вещь, которая мне особенно нравится – это тесты для самопроверки. Допустим, прошли мы какую-то конкретную тему, например, числа, и сразу написали маленький тест минут на 10. Оценка за него никуда не идет, и если я сделаю ошибку, то после теста пойму, на какие места мне стоит обратить внимание.

Но есть, конечно, в этом во всем и свои минусы:

• В группе больше 15 человек. В принципе, это не критично. Пока уровень языка начальный, тебе должно быть почти все равно 10 человек в группе или 20, – все равно вопросы все задают одни и те же. А так даже веселее. Тем более, что этот вопрос Татьяна Владимировна пыталась решить – разделить группу на 2 части, но это оказалось практически невозможно (все дело в хитро составленном расписании).
• Пары проходят совмещенными, 1 раз в неделю. Это значит, что, к примеру, мы встречаемся 1 раз в неделю по пятницам, но зато сразу на 3,5 часа. Вот и получается, что за 7 дней ты успеваешь многое подзабыть, и приходится все вспоминать и восстанавливать в голове по конспектам.

В общем, в немецком языке меня все очень даже устраивает. Я даже могу уже на нем говорить (на ограниченный круг тем, конечно). Всем советую!

Я учусь в магистратуре ВШМ СПбГУ уже больше 2-х месяцев. Этого времени вполне достаточно, чтобы понять, что к чему.

Вот что мне очень нравится в магистратуре ВШМ:

• Люди

Для того, чтобы попасть в магистратуру ВШМ, необходимо пройти довольно серьезный отбор (TOEFL, GMAT, собеседование). Практически все ребята, которые сюда попадают:

• отличаются высоким уровнем умственного развития;
• знают, чего хотят, и для чего они сюда пришли (учиться и налаживать контакты);
• просиживают в библиотеке факультета минимум 4-8 часов в неделю.

• Обучение

Полностью на английском языке. Поначалу немного непревычно, но где-то на второй неделе сентября об этом вообще перестаешь задумываться.

Обязателен второй язык на выбор – испанский, немецкий или французский. За 2 месяца я слышала только положительные отзывы об уровне преподавания иностранных языков. Я сама, вспоминая немецкий “с нуля”, сейчас уже спокойно могу что-нибудь рассказать.

• Библиотека

Не хочу показаться “ботом”, но я просто тащусь от ВШМ’ской библиотеки. Здесь не просто много книг, здесь … о-оо-очень много хороших книг! В основном преобладают книги на английском.

Кроме того, у студентов ВШМ есть возможность пользоваться многочисленными платными и бесплатными базами книг, периодики, журналов. В общем, проблем с поиском нужной литературы здесь нет.

В самой библиотеке атмосфера очень приятная, неотвлекающая, хорошие компьютеры (Lenovo, для тех кто поймет), работают кондиционеры. Так, можно просидеть весь вечер над каким-нибудь отчетом, и не заметить, как быстро пролетело время, а отчет уже готов (дома на тот же самый отчет я бы потратила минимум в 2 раза больше времени, постоянно отвлекаясь на разные “очень важные” вещи).

• Столовая

Кормят очень вкусно. Еда всегда свежая и готовится в тот же день. Завтрак до 12:00 – обычно предлагают на выбор кашу, омлет, запеканку, оладьи или дранники или блинчики, горячие бутерброды, слоеную выпечку, яичницу (готовят специально для тебя на маленькой сковородке), активмели, био-йогурты, фрукты, свежесваренный кофе. Порции всегда большие, ненаестся сложно.

На обед ассортимент тоже значительный и на любой вкус.

Сгущенка, сметана, майонез, соевый соуз и т.д. – все соусы, хлеб, сахар и лимоны к чаю бесплатно.

С сентября 2009 года я учусь в магистратуре Высшей Школы Менеджмента Санкт-Петербургского Государственного Университета (ВШМ СПбГУ) по программе MITIM (Master in International Technology and Innovation Management).

Как сказано на официальном сайте факультета, MITIM – это программа двойного диплома Школы бизнеса Лаппеенрантского технологического университета (LUT) и Высшей школы менеджмента Санкт-Петербургского государственного университета (ВШМ СПбГУ).

Я выбрала именно программу MITIM, а не MIB (Master in International Business), по нескольким причинам.

1. Мое первое образование (специалист, 2009, мат-мех СПбГУ) связано с информационными технологиями, разработкой программного обеспечения и математикой.
2. После выпуска с программы MIB ты будешь Менеджером “общего профиля”. На MITIM’е, напротив, с самого первого дня нас “затачивают” на информационные технологии, инноватику и т.д., что в нашей стране будет актуально еще много-много-много лет.
3. Группа MITIM на 50% состоит из иностранных студентов. Большинство, конечно, фины, но также есть чехи, голландцы, канадцы, французы, т.д. Все очень приятные ребята! Таким составом мы будем учиться все 2 года до самого выпуска, если, конечно, кого-нибудь не выгонят раньше (тьфу-тьфу-тьфу).
4. По окончании программы MITIM у тебя на руках будет диплом финского ВУЗа. Школа бизнеса Лаппеенрантского технологического университета (LUT), конечно, не Бог есть какой важный ВУЗ, но все-таки это европейский диплом. Выпускники MIB’а будут иметь на руках только сертификат о прохождении полугодовой стажировки в одном из ВУЗ’ов мира.

У программы MITIM, конечно, есть свои минусы.

1. Ты жестко завязан на Лаппеенранте. Никакого тебе выбора ВУЗ’ов, в то время как ребята с MIB’а горячо обсуждают, куда они хотели бы поехать.
2. У MITIM’а пока что не было элективных курсов. Студенты MIB’а подбирают себе расписание сами из списка занятий.
3. Программа MITIM существует в ВШМ всего пару лет, так что пока не все идеально.

If any of you have heard of the Slender Man, then you might already be dead. But in case you’re not, I hope you’re in hiding. The Slender Man is a very tall slender faceless man. He usually lives out in the forests (any forest, mind you) usually near schools just so he can kidnap children. It’s unclear what happens to children when they’re kidnapped but few have ever returned. The few that have returned usually do not remember the actual experience but they do have indications of trauma.

Lock your children in the closet!

Sometimes, before the Slender Man kidnaps, children report having dreams of the Slender Man kidnapping them. Often, just like in the movies, the parents do not believe the kid. Stupid parents, listen to your kids, no matter how impossible their story is. If your kid told you that she traveled faster than light, she probably did.

So who is this Slender Man? Honestly, if I had to make a guess, I’d say he’s probably the newest addition to the sinister Men in Black. I say this for two reasons: (1) the Slender Man dresses in black just like the Men in Black and (2) he shape shifts into Reptoids just like MIBs.

Some suspect that kids are being kidnapped by the Slender Man in order to social engineer a race of humans that only preach One World Government agendas. I’m inclined to believe this hypothesis, especially since so many pro-One World Government people keep popping up everyday. Where on Earth do weird, crazed, and sinister people like Rahm Emanuel come from? Clearly, those kinds of people could only be produced by years of intense Re-education Camps indoctrinating them with Illuminati Zeal.

I hope that you spread the message of the Slender Man as soon as you can. He isn’t just known to kidnap children. Adults also go missing (the few adults who actually believe what the children are saying). The adults usually go missing not long after they mention his name as a matter of fact. So please spread this message as soon as you can and maybe we can stop this ultimate Reptilian One World Government plot once and for all.

Men In Black

Reensaiem a coreografia… De acordo com o JB Online, a Sony Pictures está preparando “MIB 3″, o terceiro filme da franquia dos “homens de preto”:

Os homens de preto vão entrar em ação novamente. (…) Etan Cohen, que assina o roteiro de “Trovão Tropical”, está escrevendo a história, e há rumores de que Barry Sonenfeld, que dirigiu os dois primeiros filmes da série, estaria se preparando para repetir a dose, embora ainda não haja acordo ou oferta formal nesse sentido.

O estúdio quer iniciar a produção em 2010.

O fator desconhecido ainda é Will Smith. O ator ainda não se comprometeu a fazer o terceiro, embora nos últimos dias venha circulando que ele esteja interessado em voltar. O envolvimento de Tommy Lee Jones também é incerto.

A notícia que não gostei foi que Etan Cohen, que assina o roteiro de Trovão Tropical esta escrevendo a historia… eu honestamente não gostei de Trovão Tropical, se quiser saber sobre o filme clique aqui. Voltando ao assunto…

Outra duvida é se os atores principais voltaram a franquia, Will Smith aparentemente vem demonstrando interesse em voltar já Tommy Lee Jones é uma incógnita.

Vamos torcer que a continuação seja bem feita e honre os dois primeiros filmes, isso se realmente sair do papel.

It didn’t help that in July, an encounter between a board director and a mid-level executive in a public place fueled an already gloomy disposition of some staff.

Since I first discovered that I could astrally travel to targeted locations I have been reluctant to do so because of what I encountered during and after astrally traveling to Dulce Base located in NM and for those of you who are not familiar with this story well I first discovered I could astrally travel to any targeted location in the world or beyond by accident!

I always thought astral travel was random but after joking with a friend and saying that I was going to go to they’re house and actually arriving at they’re home and seeing all that was going on I was baffled after having my friend confirm it!

Well since then I was a bit worried about targeted astral travel or TATing as I call it but I wanted to try something new and different and I have always wanted to dispel the rumors if any of Dulce base because the things I have heard of this place were so horrific that I could not possibly imagine humans being OK with the goings-on of this place so I wanted to go there and see for myself that this was not going on I wanted to believe that we would never sink this low.

The Ets warned me of this and insisted that I not go but they had to respect my free will so they said they would stand by in case I needed assistance. Well that night as I laid down I only said a few words I said: I am going to Dulce Base and with those words said I soon drifted off to sleep and exited my physical form and consciously astrally projected myself to Dulce base and I managed to go to all the levels to the very last one undetected and that is where I saw very strange things.

What I saw would make a grown man cry and alas it did as I stood there in astral from trying my best to hide from both humans and reptilian like entities I watched as a human wheeled a fellow human on a stretcher that was tied down with straps and somehow the human on the stretcher could see me and what he said broke my heart and almost broke me to pieces the human looked at me and said: Why wont you save me? do something! but I could not do anything because my life was at risk and I had to live to tell the tale because somehow I know if you are affected in the astral your physical also will be affected.

So I reluctantly watched as this human wheeled the other human on to a conveyor belt and I could see the human being chopped up and I could hear the blood curdling screams and I watched as on the other side of the conveyor belt parts of this fellow human being who I later realized was labeled as a “missing person” fell in to a vat of strange liquid and just then I could see a pair of army type boots walking towards me and I knew that I had been found and just as I was about to ask how do I get out of here I heard water rushing but I looked around and said: wait there is not faucet here!

That is when I suddenly slammed back in my body and awoke to see the kitchen sink faucet turning off by itself (I was asleep in the living room) and then I realized the ETs had turned it on to cause my astral to return to the physical body. Well I woke up deeply disturbed by relived that I knew the truth and I thought that was it.

I woke up that morning thinking it was all over but that evening I felt as if my apartment was shaking and I heard a very loud sound I knew it was helicopters so I ignored it and was watching TV for a bit when I realized that a helicopter had descended from above and was situated outside my balcony shining a very bright light in to my balcony I turned around and thought: what the hell? but payed it no mind then that chopper flew away and again it happened and I was irritated a bit so I got up and walked to my balcony and it was as if this was by default.

I was on the balcony and I suddenly sent a shock wave of psychic energy the chopper that made it shake and disappear though I soon learned this was the whole purpose…They wanted to waste my energy because this feat took a whole lot of energy from me so I made it to my couch completely drained, curled up in my blanket and got naked because I was more relaxed this way and basically passed out and I was awakened by two swat members or agents standing in my living room with guns pointed at me and yelling asking what I knew and what I remembered then I remember them noticing I was naked and taking the covers off and just stared at me perhaps this was a means of intimidation then I was given these pills that were forced in to my mouth, they made me swallow the pills and as they did this they were saying: she has to forget, she has to forget.

I felt back into a deep sleep and I was awakened the next morning by a terrible feeling off nausea I could barely make it to the bathroom but thankfully I did because I threw up violently and I did so for almost the whole day I had to keep drinking water. Finally eventually I stopped throwing up and I could feel I was so week but I felt like I got whatever they put in me out and that is all I cared about and somehow I KNEW it was retaliation for me going to Dulce base and seeing what I saw and surviving to tell the tale.

Area 51
You would think that this would be enough to quell my curiosity and any future stupid ideas of astrally entering any government operated premises but how could that be when there was still Area 51? just what are they trying to hide so badly that they would use FORCE, fines and imprisonment to keep you out?

That is what I intended to find out because I believe the people deserve to know! there should NEVER be secrets between the US government and the American people! So me being a busy little bee I did my duties for the day and eagerly went to bed that evening and as before I took the steps necessary to astrally travel to the targeted area and just like before I made it but this time I was met with a bit of resistance.

Apparently Area 51 is protected by more then just physical intruders I got as far as I could in Area 51 before I was met with an astral barrier a barrier designed to specifically keep out astral intruders such as myself and I never even knew these existed. What could be of such great importance that it is better guarded then Dulce base? from what I could see and from as far as I could make it I could see that indeed Area 51 had reversed engineered alien technology, Aurora is REAL and there were also benevolent extraterrestrials being held captive there in special confinements though I could not tell if this was done with the collaboration of malevolent ETs and humans or just by other fellow humans…the benevolent ETs were being forced to help in certain reverse engineering projects and being held captive so that they could not alert the masses as the deceptions of the government.

Just like physical intruders are often met with military jets and vehicles so was I met with military personnel who quickly began to chase and attack me they said that there would be retaliation in the form of a great shake what that had to do with me I will never know but I returned back to my physical form quickly after a while of being chased through the astral plane I awakened to find something even more disturbing.

Me and my roommate awakened at the same time both relaying encounters in the astral world with government agents however he had nothing to do with my trip to Area 51 so why was he targeted? according to him he had a “dream” in which he was walking around and found himself in a room with these business looking men who identified themselves as government officials and said that there were PILLS he had to take that he was ordered to take.

Of course my friend declined thankfully but he said that in the “dream” he left the room and yes they let him leave the room…he went outside to get a meal because he was hungry and he ordered a plate spaghetti (literally his favorite meal in the world) and he took a bit but then noticed weird long spaghetti like looking leeches in the spaghetti and then noticed it was in his mouth so he pulled out and spit out all of them but one, according to my friend he felt that in the dream he was tricked by the agents by being offered his favorite meal.

When I relayed my experiences with astral travel he was quite taken by it and even though he was not upset that he had some gotten involved with the whole Area 51 thing I promised to never astral travel when he is around but I could not promise I would stop seeking truth because if not me then who? not to sound arrogant but I find very few people who are willing to go THIS far. Me I don’t mind because I feel this truth NEEDS to come out in whatever form but I do agree I need to be more responsible and conduct these travels when alone. I hope this story benefits someone and please remember to be careful if you are to test your luck as targeted astral traveling it can and will most likely be very dangerous make sure you are definitely up for the challenge and pls spread this story far and wide if you believe it has some merit or benefit.

As you read this work and put its principles into practice, there are two basic axioms you never want to forget. They are the rock upon which all your actions are based.

1. Nobody, anywhere or any time and under any circumstances has the right or power in this country to immunize you or your children against your will and conviction. If they attempt to do so, you can legally charge them with “assault with a deadly weapon” and have the full resources of our laws behind you.

2. At all times in attempting to avoid unwanted immunization, you have the Law of the Land behind you. Those who would try to vaccinate you against your will are on very shaky ground. Into every compulsory immunization law in America are written legal exceptions and waivers which are there specifically to protect you from the attempted tyranny of officialdom. It is not only your right, but your obligation to use them, if this is what your conscience tells you.

Article I
In all your contacts with any member of the school, public health, or legal establishment, always remain calm, courteous, and humbly reverent toward their position. You are only asking of them that which the law duty binds them to give you. There is no reason, or advantage, to be gained by antagonizing them.

Most of these officials believe they are discharging their trust as outlined by law. If they are overstepping the law, then you must very diplomatically bring the true facts to their attention, but without attempting to belittle them.

The more you can preserve their ego, the more easily and quickly you are likely to get what you desire – a waiver of immunization.

Rule No. 1: Do not harass, belittle, or antagonize officials unnecessarily.

Article 2
All compulsory laws concerning vaccination (including the military) contain exceptions and waivers. It is these protections placed in the laws that you may legally use to exclude yourself and your children. Surprisingly, these exceptions were placed there, not for your sake (although you may take advantage of them), but for the protection of the establishment.

How is this? Let us assume that these exceptions were not there and everyone was actually forced to be immunized. Should a child die or become mentally or physically disabled, the parent would have the perfect case to sue the doctor, the school, the health department, and even the state legislature for enormous damages.

Since they allowed no exceptions, they must accept full responsibility for all the adverse consequences of the law.

However, if exception waivers are placed in the law, the responsibility is then transferred back to the parent. If a child should be injured by immunization, the officials can say, “Well, the parent should have exempted him if they thought there was any danger.”

Therefore, there is in truth no such thing as a compulsory vaccination law in this country. They are ALL, in essence, voluntary. The problem is that practically no one in authority will let you know this fact.

Rule No. 2: There are no compulsory vaccination laws. All are voluntary, and you are held responsible for the adverse results upon you or your children.

Article 3
While all immunization laws have exceptions you can use, the wording in each state differs, and you must know the exact wording for your state to make the proper request of waiver. This information can be obtained in one of two ways.

1. Go to the reference section of your local library- look in the State Statute Revised Law Book under Public Health Law or Communicable Disease sections. The list of immunization requirements will appear first and then the exemptions will be given. Usually one or two provisions will be listed: either on religious or medical grounds or both.

2. You may call or write your state representative and ask for a copy of the immunization laws in your state. Making this available is part of his job, and it will be sent promptly.

Rule No. 3: Know your own state law so that you can conform to its exact requirements for exemption.

As the years have passed, adding more and bigger kids to the mix, the rumpuses have moved from the bedroom into other arenas. There have been ball pits, parks with hunter-green plastic slides and cherry-red swings, fast food Playlands, bowling alleys with gutter bumpers and neon lights, glow-in-the-dark, indoor miniature golf courses, back yards cluttered with ruts, walnuts, and barbeque grills, and forest pathways lined with one-hundred-year-old oak trees, the crunch of fallen leaves underfoot. And water puddles, the kind that shimmer in the sun, their calm surfaces broken and sent skyward drop after drop by the intrusion of defrocked feet, leaving shins and calves sporting driblets of dried mud, the happy tears of a well-spent moment.

And movie theaters, for not all rumpuses need be raucous affairs. Not much beats the semiannual sharing of buttered and seasoned popcorn in buckets bigger than your head, sodas served by the gallon, chocolate covered raisins, and sticky red strands of Twizzlers. And then the refills, because that’s what The Wild Things would do, they would live it up while the living is easy.

Because, as Maurice Sendak reminded us a long time ago, and reminds us anew each day we are willing to remember, life is hard and rumpuses are rare and must be embraced with gusto, with hands weary from the toil and hearts weighed down and weakened by the strain of the stuff of life between the rumpuses. All of it is what makes us tick, and rumpuses lighten the load, each passing second a stone added to the lighter side of the scale. It’s a delicate balance, and it takes eyes and attitudes attuned to the deeper meaning of it all to keep things even.

So go ahead.  Rediscover the bond.  Unearth the thing that makes your neck work.  Find the time to let your own rumpus start.  Dinner will be warm and waiting . . .

So today for some odd reason I felt like writing NASA an email about the Moon Bombing…I WAS respectful but at the same time I voiced how I felt…will I get a response? who knows…below is the email I sent:

Dear NASA,
I have always loved NASA for as long as I can remember and I am no professional but I do have a problem with the bombing of the lunar surface. It does not seem natural not one bit. I don’t know if NASA is trying to take credit for India’s discovery of water or perhaps something else but whatever the reason the moon is not ours to decided that we should shoot a rocket in to it if indeed it did happen at all because honestly the live image was quite poor….May God Bless you.

My friend observed a helicopter hovering and flashing their search light in my apartment and told me about it and we both watched them hover there for about 5 to 10 minutes I believe and it would not back off and usually when I acknowledge it the heli backs off…it did not bother me in the least bit I am just updating that is all .

Last night we went to Halloween Horror Nights (like always lol) and even though we didn’t do a whole lot of anything because the lines were so damn long, there was one thing we did…Play MIB! Now you all know I love my babers with all my heart, but I kill him in this game everytime (he likes to think he can beat me in this since he can beat me in Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin). So after waiting in the short 15 minute line, which happened to be the shortest line all night, and talking so much smack the whole time, we finally got on.

See all that clowning around he’s doing!! Haha!! Let me tell you how it played out…
I wasn’t paying attention to nobody’s score the whole ride, I was just focusing on making my gun flash green (which means I got something), hitting the same spots I always get. When we came to the end, each row has the opportunity for someone to get a bonus 100,000 pts, you just have to be the first one to press it…guess who got it in our row?? No, not me…the babers got it! LOL Fail!!!

I wont tell you how it ended…I will just show you the pictures of the final scores and you can make your own decision…

It has a lot credibility in terms of what they are filming in the sky! I have to tell you that both SDS and myself have personally experienced and seen something very similar during our UFO hunting expeditions in California.

Notice how the sky watcher makes the comment about having a ‘feeling’ to come and film that night. He was probably experiencing a ‘psychic’ invitation to ‘experience’ and ‘witness’. There is often a lot of ‘occult’ or ‘psychic’ energies associated with some types of UFO activity as reported by people that were involved with UFO incidents. We know at BXF that when ever we publically make any kind of conection between the words ‘occult’ and ‘UFOs’ we will experience some kind of ‘warning’ from certain quarters that seem worried about what we ‘might’ be going to say next!
