Last night at the Republican debates in South Carolina, we had a couple of great quotes from our war-mongering Repubs in regards to the recent incident with Iranian ships and US Navy ships. First up is Mike Huckabee:

“Be prepared, first, to put your sights on the American vessel. And then be prepared that the next thing you see will be the gates of Hell, because that is exactly what you will see after that.”

Okay, well that’s nothing new; a Republican being super aggressive. However, Huckabee was soon outdone by Fred Thompson who remarked:

“I think one more step and they would have been introduced to those virgins that they’re looking forward to seeing.”

To rapturous applause. Obviously, if we had been attacked, it would have been the right move to fire back, but the racism and excitement they seem to incite with their comments is frightening.
