So, I’ve signed Miki and I up for agility classes. We start January 5 with the Calgary Canine Centre. I’m pretty psyched for this – so much so that I keep thinking the classes start next week. Miki and I have attended a couple of the Calgary Agility Meetups and she’s been really good with the equipment so I think she’ll enjoy learning how to run a course, and it’ll be good for further refining her behaviour, especially her attention span (I hope).

While it may not be immediately obvious, agility will also help teach me – and heaven knows how much I love to learn. While the initial set of classes will be mostly for Miki’s benefit, if I continue to enroll her in agility lessons, more and more it will be on me to properly handle her while on the course. I can’t begin to predict the future, but I’m half hoping Miki and I really enjoy agility enough to participate in trials and competitions. Only time will tell. In the meantime, we’ll look forward to starting our classes in the new year.

Japonya’nın önde gelen patencilerinden olan Miki Ando, katıldığı iki 2009 ISU Grand Prix yarışmasında da (Rostelecom Cup ve NHK Trophy) altın madalya kazandı ve böylece kendi ülkesinde yapılacak final yarışmalarına katılma hakkını elde etti (4 – Aralık 2009, Tokyo).

Ando, Olimpiyat sezonunda iyi başlangıç yapsa da, kendisinden pek memnun değil… “Serbest programımın daha büyük yarışmalarda pek fazla rekabet gücü olduğunu düşünmüyorum” diyerek açıklıyor sebebini…

Ando, NHK Trophy yarışmasında, serbest programında bazı hatalar yaptı ve Rus rakibi Alena Leonova’ya serbest program yarışmasında geçildi. “Moskova’daki yarışmadan daha iyi kaymak istiyordum ama olmadı. Birinci olmama rağmen ancak yüzde 10 oranında mutluluk duydum. Şanslıydım, bu nedenle, çok fazla sevinmeme gerek yoktu” diyor Ando, bütün açık yürekliliğiyle.

Ando, antrenörü Nikolai Morozov’un diğer öğrencisi Nobunari Oda ile Cup of China yarışmasına gitmesi nedeniyle bir hafta boyunca yalnız başına antrenman yaptı. Ando, bununla ilgili olarak, “İyi çalıştığımı düşünüyorum ama pek de emin olamadım. Belki de (yalnız başıma çalışacak kadar) güçlü değilim henüz” diyor Japon patenci.

Ando, kısa programda üçlü lutz-üçlü rittberger kombinasyonunu Morozov’un tavsiyesi üzerine yapmadığını söylüyor ve daha sonra da, bu kombinasyonu denemediği için kendi kendine pişmanlık duyduğunu belirtiyor. “Üçlü-üçlü kombinasyonu anahtar konumunda bulunuyor. Daha önce pek çok defa yapmıştım. Antrenmanda, bir şeylerin eksik olduğunu hissediyordum. Bana heyecan vermedi” diye konuşuyor.

Ando, dikkatini artık Tokyo’daki final yarışmasına çevirmiş. “Finalde olmaktan mutluluk duyuyorum, diyor, çok sıkı çalışacağım ve düşünce olarak daha güçlü olmak istiyorum. Japonya’da sağlam bir performans göstermek istiyorum. Finalde şeref kürsüsüne çıkmak istiyorum. Bu, Olimpiyatlar öncesinde çok önemli bir adım olacak…”

Final yarışmasında belki de farklı bir kısa program izleyeceğiz. Ando, başlangıçta Queen of the Night şarkısını kısa programı için seçmişti. Ama sonradan Requiem’e döndü. Morozov, bu konuyla ilgili olarak, “İlk program galiba pek anlaşılamadı. Belki, şimdiki kısa programı ya da onun ilk bölümünü değiştireceğiz. Ben Ando’nun atlayışları konusunda kaygılı değilim. Antrenmanlarda atlayışları çok iyi yapıyor. Ama belki programın başlangıcındaki tempo ona uygun değil” diye konuşuyor.

Ando da, Morozov da aslında “Cleopatra” adını verdikleri serbest programdan memnunlar. Programın müziği gerçekte üç ayrı müzikten oluşuyor. Bir televizyon dizisi olan Rome, Ennio Morricone müziğini yaptığı Marco Polo filminden alınan müzik ve Asterix ile Obelix filminin müziği olan Mission Cleopatra…

Ando, “Kleopatra’yı herkes tanır. Çok tanınmış bir kraliçeydi ve bir ailesi vardı. Karakterinin her iki yanını da göstermek istedim. Gerçekten bir Kleopatra olmak isterim” diye konuşuyor.

Japon patenci, bu programı için iki farklı giysi denedi. Rostelecom Cup yarışmasında bronz renkli yaldızlı bir giysiyle kayarken NHK Trophy’de parlak mavi renkli eski Mısır sembollerini taşıyan bir giysiyle çıktı buza. Final yarışmasında üçüncü bir kostümün denenmesi pek de ihtimal dışında görülmüyor…

Final yarışmasında Ando’nun o meşhur dörtlü salchow’sunu yine göremeyeceğiz galiba… Ando, yarışmada dörtlü atlayış atan ilk ve tek bayan patenci olarak tarihe geçmişti. 2002 Aralık ayında Hollanda’da yapılan Junior Grand Prix final yarışmasında dörtlü salchow yapmıştı Ando…

“Antrenmanlara dörtlü çalışıyorum ama programa konabilecek kadar iyi değil. Olimpiyat sezonundayız. Aslında programda bulunan beş bileşeni daha iyi hale getirmem lâzım. Yazın antrenmanlarda bunlara ağırlık verdim. Üçlü-üçlü kombinasyonunu daha da sağlam bir yapıya kavuşturmalıyım. Olimpiyat yarışmasında dörtlü denemek hoşuma gider ama bunun için her şeyin iyi olması, doğru olması gerekiyor. Olimpiyatlarda dörtlü yapmak aslında benim hayalim…” diye konuşuyor Ando.

Dörtlüsü olmasa bile, Ando 2010 Vancouver Kış Olimpiyatları madalya adayları arasında bulunuyor. 2007’de Dünya şampiyonu olan patenci, 2008’de sakatlığı nedeniyle serbest programını yarıda bırakarak yarışmadan gözyaşları içinde çekilmişti. 2009’da onu yine Dünya Şampiyonasında bronz madalyayı boynuna geçirirken gördük.

Ando, mücadeleci yapıya sahip bir patenci. Bunu defalarca gösterdi. Ayrıca, pek bilinmese de, hassas ve duygusal bir yapıya sahip. Kendisini zorlamayı ihmal etmiyor. Geçmişte, gerginlik nedeniyle yarışmalarda ağladığı çok oldu. “Kendi kendimi baskı altına alıyorum ve antrenmanlarda işler iyi gitmediği zaman da oturup ağlıyorum” diye anlatıyor durumunu Japon patenci.

Japonya’da hayat bu “Güzel prenses” (Miki’nin anlamı buymuş) için zorlaşmış… Nereye giderse gitsin, paparazziler, foto muhabirleri peşinden ayrılmıyormuş. Bundan çok yakınıyor.

Bu durum o kadar sıkıntı verici boyuta ulaşmış ki Japonya Buz Pateni Federasyonu basın-yayın organlarına mektup yazarak Ando’yu rahat bırakmalarını istemiş…

2004 yılında Dünya Gençler şampiyonu olan Ando, patene biraz geç yaşlarda başladı. Dokuz yaşındaydı başladığında ama ilk üçlü atlayışını iki yıl sonra yapmayı başardı. Bu atlayış, üçlü salchow’ydu. Paten başlamadan önce başka ilgi alanları da vardı Ando için. Yüzme, bale, piyano çalmak ve hat sanatı bunlar arasındaydı. Sonuç olarak paten ağır basmış. “En çok ilgimi çekenin ve kendimi ifade etmenin en iyi yolunun buz pateni olduğunu düşündüm” diyor Ando.

Ando, Nagoya’daki başlangıç günlerinden söz ederken, “Gruplar halinde çalışıyorduk. Mao (Asada) ve Mai de (Mao’nun kardeşi) vardı. Günde sekiz saate kadar atlayış çalıştığımızı ve aramızda yarıştığımız hatırlıyorum. Temelimiz orada oluştu. Kendi aramızda yarışmak, oyun gibiydi…” diyor.

Atlayışlar Ando’yu tanınan bir patenci haline getirdi ama o tam bir patenci olmayı, artistik yanı güçlü bir patenci olmayı hedefliyor. Vancouver’de şeref kürsüsüne çıkmak için ne yapması gerektiğini iyi biliyor. Ando, “Programlarımın mükemmel olması lâzım. Kendime daha çok güvenmem lâzım…” diyor.

Miki Ando’nun spor hayatı kolay geçmedi. İnişler ve çıkışlarla dolu bir spor hayatı var onun. Ando’nun zirveye ulaştığı nokta, 2007 Dünya Şampiyonasında Japon Mao Asada, Güney Koreli Yu-Na Kim ile 2006 Dünya şampiyonu Amerikalı Kimmie Meissner’i geçerek altın madalya kazanmasıydı.

“Kimse o zaman benden bir şey beklemiyordu. Ben de sadece elimden geleni yaptım, kaymaktan zevk almaya çalıştım. Kısa ve serbest programda hiç hata yapmadığım için çok mutluydum” diyor Dünya şampiyonu olmasından söz ederken…

Ando, 2002 ile 2004 arasında Gençler kategorisinde ISU Junior Grand Prix yarışmalarından beşini kazanarak etkileyici bir rekorun sahibi olmuştu. 2003 ve 2005 yıllarında ISU Junior Grand Prix finalinde şampiyon olmuş ve 2004’te de yine finalde bronz madalya kazanmıştı. 2002 Dünya Gençler Şampiyonasında bronz, 2003’te gümüş madalya kazanan Ando, 2004 Dünya Gençler Şampiyonasında da altın madalyaya ulaşmayı başarmıştı. Japon patenci, daha sonraki üç sezonda da ISU Grand Prix (Büyükler) finallerine kalmayı başardı ama hiçbirinde şeref kürsüsüne çıkamadı.

Ando, 2005 yılında ABD’ye gitti ve önce Carol Heiss-Jenkins çalıştı, sonra da Nikolai Morozov’la çalışmaya başladı. “ABD’de yaşamak önceleri zor oldu, diyor Ando, ama şimdi çok arkadaşım var. Hayat daha güzel hale geldi. Hoşuma gidiyor. Hayat daha kolay ABD’de ama zaman zaman zorlukları da olmuyor değil. Sokağa daha rahat çıkabiliyorum. Tabii ki Japonya’yı seviyorum ama orada paparazziler beni rahat bırakmıyor…”

Japonya’nın Nagoya kentinde 18 Aralık 1987’de doğan Ando, 2006’da Skate America yarışmasında altın madalya, Trophée Eric Bompard’da gümüş madalya kazandı ama Moskova’da yapılan finallerde hastalanmasından dolayı ancak beşinci olabildi. Birkaç gün sonra yapılan 2007 Japonya Şampiyonasında da ikinci oldu.

Ando, 2008’e başlarken 2007 Skate America’da gümüş madalya elde etti. Ancak Japonya’da düzenlenen NHK Trophy’de dördüncü olarak hayal kırıklığı yarattı ve finallere ilk kez katılamadı. 2007 Japonya Açık yarışmasında düşmesi sonucu omzundan sakatlanmıştı ve bunun sıkıntısını çekiyordu.

Ando, “Omzumdaki sakatlık kötüydü. Kas yırtıldıysa, ameliyat olmam gerekebilirdi. Bunun da iyileşmesi üç ay alabilirdi. Atlayış ve dönüşlerde, hatta adım dizilerinde bile ağrı yapıyordu. Spirallerde Biellmann pozisyonu için yapabilmem için diğer omzumu kullanmam gerekti. Bu da çok zor oluyordu. Özel egzersizler yapmam, daha sonra omzumu bantlamam ve antrenmandan sonra geceleri de buza bastırmam gerekiyordu” diye anlatıyor o günleri…

Ando’nun sakatlığı 2008 Dört Kıta Şampiyonasında da devam etti. Bacağında bandajla kaymasına rağmen üçüncü olmayı başarmıştı ama. “NHK Trophy’de bacağımdaki kası patenimin çeliği kesmişti” diye durumu açıklıyor Ando.

Dört Kıta’dan sonra en önemli yarışma olan Dünya Şampiyonası vardı. Kısa programı sekizinci sırada tamamlayan Ando, serbest programı kaymaya başladı ancak yaklaşık 1 dakika 10 saniye kaydıktan sonra başhakeme giderek durumunu anlattı ve yarışmadan çekildiğini açıkladı.

Ando, bir yıl önce şampiyon olduğu yarışmadan çekilmesinin sebeplerini şöyle açıklıyordu: “Sabah antrenmanında ısınma sırasında baldırımda bir sakatlık oluştu. Ama ben kaymaya karar verdim. Dünya Şampiyonası benim için önemliydi. Ama serbest programa başlayınca bacağıma kramp girdi, hissedemez duruma geldim. Nikolai (Morozov) çekilmem gerektiğini söyledi”.

Ando, 2003’te antrenmanda üçlü axel yapmasına rağmen, o zamandan beri bu atlayışı denemiyor.

Yarışmaları gösteri programlarından daha çok sevdiğini anlatıyor Ando. “Yıldızlarda kayarken, ilk kez birinci olduğumda gösteri programına çıkacağımı bilmiyordum. Dolayısıyla, gösteri için hazırlanmış özel bir programım yoktu. O zaman çok ağlamıştım. Belki de bu yüzden gösterileri pek fazla sevmiyorum” diyor Japon patenci.

2010 Kış Olimpiyatlarında altın madalya kazanmayı umduğunu belirten Ando, bu arada okulunu bitirmeyi tasarlıyor ve “İki-üç yıl daha yarışmalara girerim. Hayalim, antrenör olmak ve küçük çocukları çalıştırmak” diyor.

Ando, buzdan arta kalan zamanlarında arkadaşlarıyla vakit geçirmeyi, yemek yapmayı, alışverişi ve dans etmeyi sevdiğini anlatıyor. Japon patenci, ayrıca fotoğraf çekmeyi sevdiğini söylüyor ve evinde bir köpeği ve papağanı olduğunu anlatıyor.

Miki Ando’nun kendisine örnek aldığı patencilerin başında 1994 Dünya şampiyonu Japon Yuka Sato geliyor.  Bir zamanlar takım arkadaşı ve yakın dostu olan Shizuka Arakawa’nın 1998 Nagano Kış Olimpiyatlarındaki serbest programını çok ilham verici buluyor.

Raslantıya bakın ki kendisine örnek aldığı patencinin babası Nobuo Sato tarafından yetiştirildi Miki Ando…

Ando, şimdi bütün dikkatini Tokyo’daki ISU Grand Prix finaline çevirdi. Ama onun esas hedefi, rakiplerininki gibi 2010 Vanvouver Kış Olimpiyatları…

Pénteken volt AFC konci a Wigwamban. Előtte még felmentem Ágihoz, hogy csináljon pár pink tincset a hajamba. Anyu meg azért rágott be rám, mert nem hívtam fel h később megyek haza. Azt mondta, h nem mehetek koncira. Végül Ági anyukája vette rá, h elmehessek… És ez az utolsó percben derült ki…

Kaptunk ajándék CD-t is (L) Gergővel és Viával még a Wigwam előtt összefutottunk.  Nagyon jó volt a konci (L) Csak szegény Tomi elesett Az utolsó számnál Tomi ott énekelt előttünk. ( 3.sorban voltam) Volt egy ilyen kis kiugró szinpadrész, oda jött ki. És lehajolt én meg rácsaptam a fenekére  (L) *-*nap fénypontja*-* (L)

Within all your strength, you saved a lot of children’s dreams; it’s truly an honour to have met a person like you.

I’m grateful and lucky enough to say I was by your side, fighting along with the rest of the group.

But now, I wonder, how are things being handled in your place?

Many years had passed ever since Kairi moved back to his hometown. Completely losing all contacts with his friends back at Seiyo Academy, he tries hard not to forget about them. It was hard, at first, for the schedules he deals with every single day kept him busy – busy enough to say he can no longer spend any time for himself.

Although, he kept on holding on, standing straight, and walking further ahead – and that’s what keeps him going.

“Kairi, I think you’ve done enough all ready. Time to go home.” Musashi, his Guardian Character, called out. He worries that Kairi would over-do things again. It’s unhealthy, he thinks. Kairi keeps on pushing himself over the limits until his body is ready to give up – or so he thought.

“In a minute, Musashi; I still have to organise these papers before we can go.” Kairi replies back, eyes wandering at the piles of documents in front of him. “You can go ahead, if you want.” He tidies up the equipments used on his school’s desk. Who ever thought he’d be given such hard work yet again, like in the past?

“Nonsense,” Musashi looks at Kairi; eyes sharp but somehow soft, “I’m staying with you until you finish.” He floats around the room, giving a small quantity of space for Kairi to move.

“All right; I’m done.” Kairi announces, the moment he finishes putting the stuff back to their respective places. “Let’s get going.” After that being said, the two of them exited the school ground. Walking all the way home, surely, they passed the same things they usually see every time. But somehow, for Kairi, today will be totally different.

They both stopped in their tracks, waiting for the red light in the pedestrian crossing light to turn green again – indicating they can walk further to the other side.

…Then, it hit him…

A familiar figure was standing on the other side–opposite to their current position. He had a sudden urge to run to that person’s place, but at the same time, he wants to escape.

Now’s not the time, he says to himself. No, not yet; just a little longer.

Kairi was deep in thought that he didn’t notice his surroundings anymore. Even though Musashi had called out to him; to try and save him from a horrendous and tragic accident which was about to happen.

“Kairi!!!” Was the final word he heard, before being put to sleep…

…for a very long time.

Long enough to last for eternity.

Duminică, 1 noiembrie, la Casa Studenţilor din Bucureşti, va avea loc un spectacol în memoria Mihaelei Runceanu. Aşa cum v-am mai spus, după 20 de ani de la trecerea în nefiinţă a Mihaelei Runceanu, fanii au gândit o manifestare care să amintească de cea care a fost cântăreaţă şi profesoară. Foştii elevi ai interpretei dar şi colegi care au cunoscut-o şi îndrăgit-o au răspuns cu tot dragul iniţiativei de a cânta fără a percepe vreun onorariu în spectacolul “Eu nu te-am uitat”. Formaţia Amadeus, Adrian Daminescu, George Nicolescu, Adrian Enache, Silvia Dumitrescu, Carmen Trandafir, Maria Radu, Miki, Daniel Iordăchioaie, Viorela Filip, Cristina Manoliu, Maria Bota, Xenti Runceanu, Bogdan Ioniţă, Aida Borovină sunt artiştii care vor cânta în acest spectacol. Pe lângă spectacolul care va începe la ora 17.00, fanii interpretei s-au gîndit şi la o întâlnire la care va participa o serie de personalităţi marcante ale muzicii româneşti.  La spectacol sunt invitaţi toţi cei care o iubesc pe Mihaela Runceanu, intrarea fiind liberă.

It’s really late and I know I haven’t posted anything in a while. I’ve just been really busy with school. We have another test next week and there is so much more to memorize this time.

“În muzica pop românească există acum creatori de moment cu succese care astăzi se ştiu, mâine se uită, nu compozitori”, iată ce declara pentru Jurnalul Naţional în urmă cu un an Ionel Tudor vizavi de stadiul actual al muzicii româneşti. Este compozitor al atâtor şlagăre ca “Noapte albastră”, “Şansa e de partea mea”, Te aştept să vii”, “Aproape de cer”, “Seara”, “Totul e o loterie”, “Stele perechi”, “Ia-mi şi sufletul cu tine”, “Te rog domnişoară nu pleca”, “Poate că da, poate că nu“, “Vino, vino”, iar vorbele sale cu care am început acest material par smulse dintr-o realitate actuală şi mult prea tristă pentru ceea ce generaţiile de azi vor numi trecutul muzical românesc. Ionel Tudor face parte din categoria acelor compozitori care compun cu sufletul, a căror muzică este gândită în tandem cu un text care să exprime sentimentele umane. Ionel Tudor este compozitorul care compune pentru voci bune şi nu pentru “new wave”  poate, de aceea compoziţiile sale sunt în ultimii ani mai rare.  Compozitor şi şef al Big Bandului Radio, Ionel Tudor a absolvit Conservatorul “Ciprian Porumbescu” din Bucureşti, clasa pian, promoţia 1980. Din anul 1980 a fost profesor la Şcoala Populară de Artă din Bucureşti, unde a activat timp de 11 ani şi s-a ocupat în mod serios de pregătirea şi lansarea multor tinere talente în muzica uşoară românească. Prin mâna sa au trecut majoritatea vedetelor din muzica pop actuală fiind co-repetitor la clasa Mihaela Runceanu-Ionel Tudor. Marina Florea, Adrian Enache, Silvia Dumitrescu, Manuela  Fedorca, Nicola, Carmen Trandafir, Mădălina Manole, Miki sunt parte din vedetele care astăzi datorează lui mare parte din ceea ce sunt pe scenă. În ceea ce priveşte colaborarea sa cu Orchestra de Estrada Radio, aceasta a început încă de la varsta de 14 ani, ca pianist, sub bagheta lui Sile Dinicu, aşa încât de la acea vârstă fragedă, a învăţat ce înseamnă un ansamblu orchestral şi o orchestră de profesionisti de prestigiu. A trecut apoi sub baghetele celor 3 dirijori care au condus orchestra înaintea sa: Sile Dinicu, Cornel Popescu şi Ion Cristinoiu. În anul 1981 a debutat în calitate de compozitor. Tot în acelaşi an a devenit un orchestrator cunoscut şi apreciat fiind solicitat de marea majoritate a compozitorilor şi soliştilor români. Din anul 1990 este membru al Uniunii Compozitorilor şi Muzicologilor din România (UCMR) şi de aproape 10 ani este membru al biroului secţiei de muzică uşoară a UCMR. A participat alături de Monica Anghel şi Marcel Pavel în 2002 cu piesa “Tell me why” la Eurovision clasând la acea vreme România pe cea mai bună poziţie obţinută de ţara noastră până atunci. Este membru în juriul festivalurilor de muzică uşoară românească iar de trei ani conduce juriul Festivalului Naţional de Muzică Uşoară “Mărţişor Dorohoian”, deja devenit o tradiţie în muzica românească. A compus muzică pentru filme de lung metraj ca: “Un studio în căutarea unei vedete” (regia Nicolae Corjos),  “Expeditia” (regia Mircea Moldovan), “In fiecare zi mi-e dor de tine” (regia Gh. Vitanidis), “Turnul din Pisa” (regia Serban Marinescu). A compus două muzicaluri pentru copii, “Elefantelul Bimbo” şi “Unde este Bimbo“, care s-au jucat pe numeroase scene din afară. Din 1991 s-a angajat ca pianist al Big Band-ului Radio cu care a realizat numeroase spectacole de muzică uşoară. De când este dirijorul acestei orchestre, Ionel Tudor a fost prezent la cele mai improtante festivaluri de muzică românească, însă cel mai aproape de sufletul său pare a fi de departe Festivalul Internaţional “George Grigoriu”. Ionel Tudor a obţinut până acum în calitate de compozitor şi orchestrator peste 60 de premii printre care amintim: Trofeul “Slagare în devenire” 1981, Premiul I ”Mamaia” 1986, Premiul I ”Mamaia” 1988, Premiul I si Trofeul ”Mamaia” 1993, Trofeul Festivalului “Cantecul de dragoste” 1997, Premiul de creatie al UCMR 1997, Diploma de Onoare în semn de recunoaştere şi preţuire pentru contribuţia la promovarea cântecului românesc  decernată de Ministerul Culturiişi Cultelor - 2002, Locul 8-9 -  Eurovision 2002. Ionel Tudor este tatăl mai tânărului compozitor Andrei Tudor care îi calcă serios pe urme în ceea ce priveşte talentul şi profesionalismul cu care îşi tratează meseria. Astăzi este ziua compozitorului Ionel Tudor, motiv pentru care echipa Top Românesc îi urează LA MULŢI ANI, realizări frumoase şi un BEST OF reuşit pentru că…e cazul să apară!

Hace un par de semanas estuvieron en España el grupo de música Tokio Hotel para promocional su disco y tuvieron bastante éxito por parte del público juvenil. También los pudimos ver en el programa el “Hormiguero” de Pablo Motos, donde hay que decir que el público se pasó toda la entrevista chillando…en fin, fans adolescentes qué se le va hacer. Y la verdad es que tras su paso por españa han dejado huella, y si no que se lo digan a “Sé lo qué hicisteis”, donde han hecho una peculiar versión del grupo, Fujiyama Pensions.

Pancit Ilokos

Ingredients:

¼ cup oil
3 garlic cloves (crushed)
2 onion (sliced)
½ cup shrimp (chopped)
½ cup chicken (sliced)
2 cups atsuete (soak in ¼ cup water—use the soup)
½ cup cabbage (thinly slice like toothpick)
½ cup baguio beans
¼ cup carrots (thinly slice like toothpick)
½ liter soup of nilaga (1/2 liter water + 1 chicken broth)
¼ kilo sotanghon
¼ kilo thick miki
Salt and Spices (to taste)

Procedure:

1.   Sauté garlic, onion, shrimp, chicken and vegetables.

2.   Put ¼ liter of soup and then boil.

3.   When boiled remove the vegetables in the soup and set aside.

4.  Put the remaining soup and mix the sotanghon and miki. Mix it while cooking.

5.   Return the vegetables in the pan and mix all the ingredients before putting out the fire.

Some weeks ago, in a kind of trance state, I painted a series of Michael Jackson portraits, until I was totally saturated… and depressed that this extraordinary musician is no more physically among us. When I paint portraits, I really have to go into the person,to look at him from the inside. And after  my 12 portraits of Michael, I kind of felt as if I was Michael Jackson himself… totally alive, yet dead! A weird dichotomy, and I had to stop, so as not to end up in the asylum! I thought I could never paint him again.

But well, I have a very versatile character, and I am not scared at all of self contradictions… so here it is, my 13th portrait…

By the way, I have been working for an e card company for some months now, and I have just created a Halloween card with this new painting. I hope the people who loved Michael won’t be offended by this black humour… the best medicine against sadness is and has always been laughter
