On December 7, 2009, five guys named Miguel, Clayton, Brandon, Kelvin and Josh, better known as the VIRTUAL FREAKOES, released their debut single, “I Can’t Wait”, a song originally performed by Hilary Duff who actually covered it from Brooke McClymont. The song was recorded in a rush and the video came out on the 10th; it was a moderate hit!

Now is the time for something new, a Christmas song maybe? A Christmas song for sure!

Ahlan.com: MILEY CYRUS has opened up about living with her heart condition – she reduces her stress levels by evaluating every taxing situation to see if it’s worth worrying over.

The Hannah Montana star has been diagnosed with tachycardia, which means her heart rate exceeds the range of a normal resting heart rate.

Miley’s condition isn’t life-threatening but she insists she always worries about her heart while on stage or when stressed.

Asked how she handles her condition, she says, “I try not to get too stressed. I step away from the situation and put yourself 10 years from where you are now and then say, ‘Alright, is this really something that is going to be significant in my life? Is this going to change where I’m going to be in 10 years? At my happiest moment, is this still going to be weighing on my mind? No?’ Otherwise I’ll just (worry) myself to death, where I’ll just be like, I have to call, or I have to fix it, or I have to do this. Finally, it’s just like it will all work out on its own.”

Miley has also revealed that she seeks out small towns in every country she visits so she can socialise with people her own age without running into mobs of screaming fans.

The 17-year-old Disney star travels the world for her sell-out tours, and on her days off she loves to meet local girls and hang out in their favourite spots.

She says, “I really like travelling a lot so when I know it’s going to be a travel day and I’m going to a new place, I really like that. I love doing a show then having a day off and then having another show because then I meet people.

“I’ll see chicks come to me that are my age, and I’ll be like, ‘What’s actually cool?’ instead of asking somebody at my hotel that’s like 50 what they think is cool! I wanna know what someone my age is actually going to think is cool and where they hang out. So we try and find the smallest and quaintest little parts of the town so we can hang out and have a nice time.”

And her efforts to go unnoticed have foiled even the most devout Hannah Montana fans.

She adds, “I see my face on everything. The other day, I saw someone walk by me and they had my book, and a backpack and a shirt on. And they had no idea I walked by them.”

The song is should be off limits to a girl her age.  Even though there are worse things, isn’t objectifying our young girls and then our young girls objectifying themselves is bad enough.  It’s worse than bad, especially when you have rich kids who’s parents let them do anything.

Can you honestly tell me why this is happening?  Some famous families have standards and would never allow this type of behavior on camera to be posted on the internet.  This is not funny.  It never was and I bet most of  us are wondering what the hell is going on. 

I  have had so many Miley Cyrus posts (and posts about her siblings) sometimes exibiting overtly sexual behavior with “grown ups” (Miley) that is not even funny.

 Actually, it’s gross.  How you you teach a child self respect?  By allowing them to be a child and not behave like a “grwon up” before they actually are one.

Ah, the Miley Cyrus gets a mom remix. And the video of his “uphill battle” to becoming the next holder of the Christmas album only to fizzle out into oblivion after a couple of album once simon Cowell finds another cash cow. The song’s really a bad choice. We can’t believe this, but Miley would sound better if we had heard her version of the song. Seriously, if we won X-Factor we would refuse to cover this song!

He’s a riff on the evergreen John, and a hero name, too.

Our Name of the Day is Jackson.

The trend to promote last names to the first spot accelerated in the 1990s.  But bestowing a family surname – or one borrowed from a friend or historical figure – is a long tradition.  Some of today’s popular choices have been around for generations.

Jackson is a prime example.  He’s charted in the US Top 1000 for Boys every year since 1880.  He fell to #832 in 1969, but has been climbing ever since.

As of 2008, Jackson ranked #32.  That’s a few places ahead of Jack (#39), though comfortably behind John (#20).  He’s also inspired spin-offs and respellings, including:

• Jaxon (#154)
• Jaxson (#268)

For many parents, Jack might feel like not-quite-enough name.  And I’ve heard more than one person argue that Jack seems disconnected from John.  Jackson splits the difference -  he’s modern but not too terribly nouveau.  Parents born in the 1970s probably never met one.  And the nickname Jack follows logically.

Name aficionados all know that Jack is a diminutive of John, long in use as an independent given name.  (Though many famous Jacks, from JFK to London to Nicholson, were actually born John.)

There are two possible sources:

• The simplest one is that the French Jacques – James – was imported to English as Jack – but, of course, this fails to connect John and Jack;
• Others present the link as the product of medieval diminutives.  Jankin was the medieval equivalent of Johnny.  Over the years Jankin lost his “n” and became Jackin.

There’s also an argument that Jack is a short form of Jacob, though not in English.  It’s hard to say which theory is correct, but it is worth noting that at least some French speakers have also made the link – Jack Kerouac was born Jean.  (His parents were from Quebec.)

Jackson is, of course, a surname based on Jack.  He conjures up:

• The artistic, from Jackson Pollock (born Paul Jackson Pollock) known for dripping liquid paint on massive canvases, to the controversial King of Pop himself, the late Michael Jackson, to Lord of the Rings director Peter Jackson;
• American leaders, from seventh president of the United States Andrew Jackson to  Confederate general Thomas “Stonewall” Jackson;
• Athletes, from former NFL and MLB star Bo Jackson to Mr. October, baseball hall-of-famer Reggie Jackson;
• Leading thinkers, like physicist Shirley Jackson, the current president of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and Charles Loring Jackson, who brought the study organic chemistry to the US in the late nineteenth century.

The next generation of parents will have a very different association for the name.  Forget painters and academics, Jackson is big brother to Hannah Montana.  Miley isn’t the only name the Disney Channel series has boosted.

Jackson is on the map all over the United States and beyond, in Queensland and Nunavut.  Johnny Cash and June Carter recorded a song called “Jackson” about a couple headed Jackson – though they don’t say if it was Jackson, Mississippi, Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana … the list goes on.

While he can’t be called unusual – or even distinctive – Jackson has broad appeal.  He’s Southern-fried, what with all those places named after the Confederate general, but he’s also sophisticated, bringing to mind the world’s most famous art museums.

Little wonder Jackson is on top.

Christmas may still be almost two weeks away.  But this Sunday, I’m all abuzz about year-end name news:

• First up, the Nameberry gurus predict the Top Baby Names of the Future over at The Daily Beast.  Not any real surprises here, but almost certainly what we’ll hear everywhere in 2019;
• There’s also their look backwards, published at Nameberry earlier this week. 2009 certainly was a good year for celeb-inspired choices.  A few cited in their post include Khloe, Marley, Miley, Kingston, Kobe, Cruz and Kimora;
• Over at Baby Name Wizard, Laura Wattenberg announced her Name of the Year for 2009.  Second Runner Up: Balloon Boy Falcon. First Runner Up: the gender-neutral country chanteuse/werewolf actor Taylor.  And the winner?  Twilight mash-up Renesmee;
• The Melton Leader  tells us that Riley and Olivia were the most popular names in their corner of Australia in 2009.  Unusual names bestowed at their local hospital included a girl called Syntynche, as well as boys named Memphis and Atticus – but really, that’s nuthin’ compared to Syntynche;
• In Japan, Hiroto tops the charts for boys and Rin for girls - or do they?  The list comes from Benesse Corp., not a government agency.  And are gender neutral names big in Japan, too?  Ren is #3 on the boys’ list;
• And back to Christmas – check out this list of holiday names over at Lil’ Sugar.  They range from the obvious (Noel) to the subtle (Neve).  Just don’t name your baby boy Rudolph.

Speaking of unusual names:

• For Real Baby Names spotted an Everly Joe - which wouldn’t surprise me, except that Everly Joe is a she!  Shades of Jagger Joseph Blue, I think.  There’s also a Sixx Delilah.  Wonder if the proud parents were Motley Crue fans?
• Sebastiane over at LegitBabeNames wrote about Arpad, supermodel Elle MacPherson’s Hungarian hero name for her husband and son;
• Bewildertrix spotted a Unity – a virtue name much-neglected, save for the infamous Mitford sister.  There’s also a bumper crop of boys with bitsy names like Kye and Jai.  Wonder if they’ll join Kai in the US?  There’s also an Isobel Elizabeth Idonia. Isobel and Elizabeth together seems repetitive – and yet, it’s an appealing combo.

In starbaby news:

• The littlest Duggar, Josie Brooklyn, is here.  And quite early, though reports are optimistic;
• Model Jourdan Dunn has welcomed a baby boy – no name yet;
• Gisele Bundchen and Tom Brady are also proud parents to a bouncing baby boy – also with no name released;
• Kendra Wilkinson is a mom. She and husband welcomed Hank Randall Baskett IV.  Of course, they’d announced his name when HB4 was still a zygote;
• American Idol alum Jessica Sierra welcomed son Kayden Cash.

Is it me, or is it more fun when celebs don’t release their baby names while their offspring are still in utero?  Don’t get me wrong, I’ll take a baby name announcement whenever it comes.  (Is Pilot’s little sister really named Casper?  Inquiring minds want to know.)  But I kind of enjoy the whole “So and So Had a Girl and Named Her Guess What?” part of the process.

Perhaps I’ve been conditioned by reality television’s big reveals.

Olly was reportedly angry as he thinks the winners song was meant for Joe and Stacey and not him. The song “The Climb” was first sang by Miley Cyrus and is best suited to high pitched voices. He thinks this gives Joe more chance of winning, but the public should vote for the people they liked the whole way through not just the final song.

I was talking with a few friends at school, who are all card carrying members of Generation Y. I was talking about the 1992 riots in Los Angeles and made reference to Sublime’s song “April 26, 1992.” They all looked at me in bewilderment because they have never heard of Sublime. I was saddened and shocked at this new discovery. So shocked that I didn’t dare to mention Nirvana after that. But I wondered: how can it be that a band whose music ment so much to my generation and grew to the greatness of The Beatles or the Rolling Stones be snuffed out with the incoming of a new generation? My friends, we’ve failed the kids. Their world consists of  The Hills and Twilight. I know I give them a hard time about Miley, but I’m beginning to think they just don’t know. My friends also admitted that they don’t know the MTV we speak of, the MTV that showed nothing but music videos interrupted by live, drunken interviews with musicians. Ah, the good ol days. So in the spirit of the holidays, I am sharing some of my favorite videos from the days when mainstream music was good. And yes, they did air on MTV, sometimes hourly. Imagine that: turning on the tv and wallah, videos! Enjoy!

And a new Band of the Week…Them Crooked Vultures!

This is a super group that includes Josh Homme from Queens of the Stone Age, John Paul Jones from Led Zepplin, and, this other guy, Dave Grohl. This band just released a self titled, full length studio album. If you love some good rock, check out this album. These veterans definitely show off. I recommend the tracks “New Fang” and  ”Elephants.” This super group proves that good music never goes out of style. And if it wasn’t enough for them to grace us with an album, the trio is currently touring. I don’t see any US dates right now, but I’m sure these guys will show us some love.

When we decided to call our daughter Clio, we forever closed the door on another favorite name – Theodore, nickname Theo.

Or did we?

For every family that decides Maya and Milo are too similar, another embraces the sound-alike names.  Or insists that Alicia and Alina are totally different names.  Perhaps it never even occurs to them that Joanna and Jackson are both related to John.  Or maybe the first time you think of the famous actress is when you introduce your daughter Grace, little sister to Kelly and others ask if you’re a fan.

Siblings’ names will be said together countless times.  The names we like often have much in common.  So how can you tell if your choices make for a compatible sibset, or if they’re much too close?  Here are ten factors to consider.

10.  The names share the same meaning. This can be a subtle way to link siblings’ names.  Think Lucy and Claire.  One means light; the other, clear.  Felix and Asher both mean happy.

Trouble comes when your family of two ends up a family of four or five or more.  Your first two are the nicely paired Hazel and Ivy, but after using Olive and Jade, your choices for #5 narrow to Loden, Fern and Moss.

9.  The names share the same origins. Name aficionados know that Jacob and James are related.  I’ve groused that naming your twin daughters Isabella and Elizabeth is like naming them Mary Anne and Marianne.  Except that it’s not really so.

Origins aside, Jack and Sean make for a compatible pair of brothers’ names.  And Charles and Caroline seem different enough to be worn without incident.   Daniel and Danielle, however, don’t work.

8. You’ve neglected 25 letters of the alphabet. Sometimes this is unintentional.  You’re naming your sons after their grandfathers – Michael and Matthew.  Or you just happen to like the names Julia and Jason.

But let’s say you choose a letter with fewer options.  I remember hearing about a family with four sons – Henry, Heath, Hugo and Hatrick.  Are they hockey fans, or was Harvey not their style?  And if you’re on the second generation sharing the same syllable, your options might be very limited.

7. The names are linked in history or pop culture. If the movie was a bust, or we’re talking minor comic book characters, this matters not at all.  (You can safely ignore “But Sami named her twins John and Alice on Days of Our Lives.”)  Some combinations might appeal – think of daughters named for two Jane Austen heroines, as in Emma and Elinor.

But then there’s Gillian Anderson’s threesome – Piper, Oscar and Felix.  Her kids might not know The Odd Couple, but it is hard to imagine that it didn’t occur to mom.  Or the truly unthinkable – siblings named Romeo and Juliet, or even, in our Twilight era, Edward and Bella.  (Though it can happen after the fact – in which case, all you can do is laugh.)

6. Your choices can lead to same nickname. Sure, you never intend to call Kathryn or Katelyn by the nickname Katie.  But it could easily happen.  And how will their sister Annie feel about having an unrelated name?

This usually occurs because of #9 or #3.  But not always – Amelia and Marianna could both shorten to Mia.  Alexander and Natasha could both go by Sasha.  The harder you have to think about it, the less it becomes a concern.

5. Your favorites share the same ending. If you like Isabel, you might also like Annabel.  Ditto names like Parker, Carter and Harper.  But sharing the same ending is another sign that your favorites might be too close for comfort.

4. They nest like a Russian matryoshka. Does one name fit neatly inside the other?  Annika and Julian share an “an” but it isn’t glaringly obvious.

But Ella and Kellen seem like too much of a set.  And, in cases like Anna and Susanna, it feels as if one sibling’s name is just an elaboration, rather than an original choice.

3. They share the same first syllable. With #10 through #4, it is easy enough to come up with examples that work, despite being close in some ways.

But #3 takes us deep into the danger zone – can you imagine sisters called Madeline and Madison or Allison and Alexis?  (Photoquilty knows of a Madeline/Madison set – plus the dog answers to Maddie!)  How ’bout Jordan and Georgia?  A Supernanny episode featured twin girls Maile and Maila – pronounced Miley and Myla.

2. The names rhyme. Yes, there have surely been twin sisters called Cara and Tara.  But most parents – and siblings – would find it a bit too matched.

And yet, this is trickier than it sounds.   Timothy and James, Jeffrey and Stephanie and, of course, Benjamin and Jennifer all end up rhyming if you use the most common diminutives.

1. A combination of the above. Jackson and Jonathan are close, but probably on the right side of the line, while Jack and John don’t pass the test.

Jeffrey and Stephanie seem less troubling than the Hollywood power couple Benjamin and Jennifer.

Sarah and Laura are pretty close, but Laura and Maura would work only on fictional characters.

And so I’d love to know:  what choices have you had to reject because they’re just too close to your an older child’s name?

Miley is our puppy dog.  She is a big puppy dog.  Her weigh-in on December 4th was at 61.2 pounds. 

   61.2 pounds?!

I was very very surprised that she had put on 10 pounds in one month.  No wonder she is having problems with her hips!  Recently she’s been on little activity due to her stiffness in her hips.  After being check out by Dr. Bonnie, we were told she had a violent and large growth spurt which can sometimes cause pain in the joints.  We did 2 weeks of Previcox (an anti-inflammatory medication) and restricted activity.  The restricted activity was the most painful thing to do to Miley.  She has gotten to the point of when she wants to go outside to play…she’ll “bother” you relentlessly!

We normally do at least one walk and running in the basketball court park or just playing in the backyard.  Any activity that expends energy is good for Miley.  And, of course, after every activity…we have nap time!  Miley sleeps in the most unusual positions.  Even though she is getting way to large for her “jail cell”, she continues to crawl in and sleep there.  I could drag her pillow out of it for her to stretch out and lay on the floor…but she’ll still crawl into her “jail cell” and sleep. 

Miley is our crazy dog….and we love her just as she is!

Wow. This is plain wow. This is what happens when you let the conservatives loose, they will go and find something wrong with every thing around them. The mother’s grammatical skills alone are not impressive at all, how is she supposed to decipher a song coming out of a barbie doll.

OK so now Miley has gotten a tatoo uder her breast and she is taking vacations in miami where she has been photographed  undoing her straps for tanning purposes .   OK and the point is? I told everybody that Miley Cyrus is a freak waiting to pop out of her shell just like how Britney was. I guarantee her next album will have a compilation with Lil Wayne,Drake or someone that will have white people going crazy. Lil Wayne has already taken several pictures with Miley and she has been reported as “getting really happy” whenever she hears the line “in a few yrs holla at me Miley Cyrus”  Even though it wasn’t Lil Wayne” saying it MIley has been reported as thinking it was Lil wayne that subliminally had the rapper Mack Mainne put that line in. reportedly Miley has said several times and even told Lil Wayne to his face jokingly ” I know it was you ” because he has said that to her before.  

MY TAKE  Everybody fall back  You knew this was gonna happen. Miley is 17 she is getting older she wants to Move her hips like yeahhhh. Miley is the new Britney i already told you . The plan for her to make a album and even go on tour with Lil Wayne took a little hit with Wayne going to jail. I will have something real juicy on that as well  coming up
