There are nine paintings in the series, some featuring a Blockade runner, some featuring (or featuring a part of) the YT-1300 freighter.

The Falcon herself is made from wood. At 70 cms by 59cms and 2 kilos in weight, it’s a fair sized mirror.

They sent me a link to their Pinterest page that shows how much work went into the making of this. Pretty impressive if you ask me.

High schoolers who are homeschooled must focus on passing their GED tests. Focus on weaknesses by taking regular practice GEDs before new units. It will help you find the weaker subjects so you can work more on them.

Always do proper research if you are looking to homeschool your child. Lots of resources can be found on the Internet to aid in your thought process. Don’t romanticize the decision; it is important to recognize the time, energy, and money that are required to homeschool a child.

Be completely honest about your abilities as it relates to your effectiveness as a teacher. Don’t avoid a subject just because you don;t feel confident to teach it. This can create gaps in your child’s learning process, which can come back to bite them. When you don’t understand a core concept, think about getting a tutor.

Talk to parents who have homeschooled their children for advice. This provides opportunities for sharing and gleaning advice, asking questions, and making friends. Make sure that you use them as a guide, and are not completely influenced by their opinions.

Get in touch with other homeschooling families in your area, and try to set up a group field trip. Your child will relish the chance to get out of the house and spend time with others in the same age group. Ask different places if they offer discounts for homeschooling field trips because many of them do.

Get your child to participate in an online blog. Writing is a wonderful way to teach your child the fundamentals of language and writing. Let you kid pick the subject they write about. Once you’ve done this, create the blog, but ensure that its settings are on private. With these tools in hand, your child can learn to write well researched articles. This is a rare and necessary skill. They can even write short stories about things others may like.

Unless you can commit to disciplining your child as both a teacher and a student, it will be difficult to set boundaries. Establish your lesson plans and your strategy to get your child to respect you before you get started with homeschooling. Remember that during lessons, you are an educator rather than a parent. Make sure that you have thought through these new responsibilities before you begin homeschooling!

Because you now possess more knowledge on homeschooling, you should be aware of just how beneficial this can be for your children? If everything lines up properly, homeschooling can provide a far superior education to traditional schooling. Use this information to help your kids learn in a unique and fulfilling way.

My friend sent me the link to this Lego castle this evening, and I am disgustingly impressed. The disgusted part because I’m really super jealous of this lady’s skills. I had the little tiny Hogwarts castle growing up, and it was nearly all I played with. But this thing? This is little kid heaven. Heck, this would be adult heaven. One day, if I’m rich, I am going to build ridiculous things like this. Right. Documented here for later viewing.

Anyway. Do yourself a favor and check out her gallery! On a side note, I wonder how much this collection of Legos cost her to purchase. Have you seen the price of Legos lately? Scary stuff. I almost bought the Millenium Falcon Lego version the other day…until I looked at the price tag and realized that Grad students can’t afford fun.

This one of the New Republic Fleet is from the “Heir to the Empire” and is by an artist called Tommy Lee Edwards.

It’s a nice painting of the Millennium Falcon cockpit. The crew themselves look like they’ve been lifted from the Empire Strikes Back although i’m not quite sure about Luke’s expression, though.

The Millennium Falcon’s only featured in a small section in the Star Wars and Empire Strikes Back posters. Still, it’s a great set and i’d love to see them released as prints.

Laser etched from Birch plywood, they take about two weeks to make and i think they’re stunning. Unfortunately, the seller doesn’t ship to the UK.

A close up shows what looks to be four YT 1300 freighters in the melee which is interesting.

I still have the album at home in my collection, but i don’t have a clue what happened to te poster itself. There’s one for sale on Etsy for $70, which i suppose isn’t that bad, but it’s $21 to ship to the UK.

 It’s available here for £180, but the stand isn’t included, which is a shame. I must confess that i think she’s a little monochrome and would like to see the red on her hull.

With my Coffee table, Master Replicas Studio Scale Falcon and the Attakus diorama coming soon, i don’t think that i’d have the space to store or display another large model.

The main problem is that many BL sets inventories contains references to the normal version, marking the one with hollow studs as alternate (like the 2012 TIE Fighter set for example). When sellers parts out such sets, they are not always checking which version they have, and sells the hollow studs version under the #42445 reference.

If you are willing to get as close as possible from the original set, my advice to you is to get in touch with the seller beforehand, asking him if the part he is selling is not the hollow studs version.
