SS501 Kim Hyun Joong talks about the ‘greed’ for strong character role in acting.

He was on KBS Happy Together on 26th November when he revealed, “After Boys Over Flowers, there are many proposals coming in for me to appear in movies and dramas. But I want to try a role of a psycho.”

He continued, “I can also do the role as a dumb person, and try the role as a murderer. Actually my personality is not that of a prince. But I thought I have to keep the balance between the role and my personality during acting.”

He also talks about his ideal type of woman – Lee Hyori and her kiss performance with TOP during MKMF last year.

He recalled, “I was thinking why they have to do it on the forehead and then on the lips for the ad lib.” and when asked “Did you change your ideal type of woman after that?”, he answered no.

The 2 met during the filming of Sunday Night Family Outing, and he revealed his afterthoughts, “See her features after the makeup was washed off, I thought ‘Noona aged a little from the past’.”

SS501 Kyu Jong shocking revelation: ‘I was the only one who had to audition to pass, the others were accepted without any audition!’

SS501 selection process revealed.

On the night of 26 on Happy Together, Kyu Jong revealed: ‘I had to audition for about 4 years before I finally succeeded, the other 4 entered DSP through the President’s connections’.

Kyu who aspired to be a singer since young, said: ‘Been auditioning for 4 years. SS501 will end their promotions for their ‘Rebirth’ album with broadcast appearances this week.

This album, released by the group after 1 years and 7 months, has been doing well on charts with its title song ‘Love Like This’ going up to the #1 spots on music charts and also winning the #1 on K Chart on KBS Music Bank.

The album was actually released later than planned due to fraud cases of plagiarised songs given for their title song during the preparation of the album. Hence it was an album with great meaning to the group since they have went through a tough process for it, and it is also long awaited by Korean fans. But it was paid off since the album received great responses from fans and it sold over 100K copies.

SS501 will be doing some overseas promotions after ending their domestic promotions. They are very well received in the Asian region during their recent Asian tour in countries like Malaysia, Taiwan, Hong Kong, China etc.

They will be performing on KBS Music Bank, MBC Music Core and SBS Inkigayo this week for their goodbye stage. And they will also be appearing next month on the 5th for a special episode of MBC Music Core in JeJu Island.

I have been informed by one of my nice visitor our boys are nominated in the 2009 Melon Music Awards.

So I just made a step by step method so every TS can vote.

Our boys are in the 2009 Star and 2009 Mania categories.

They are not qualified for the Top Artist because of the late released album.

However, we should still try our best to vote for them in these two categories.

Also, the “Boys Over Flowers” OST is nominated in the special album category.

I will definitely vote for that too.
