A estas alturas, es sabido por todos que Apple ha hecho un “lavado de cara” a ‘algunos de sus productos’ como por ejemplo a los iMac y Macbooks en cuanto a ordenadores y hasta el Mighty mouse y el Keyboard sufrieron remodelaciones  por la gente de la gente de Cupertino. Todo este lanzamiento fue muy rápido, prácticamente de un día para el otro teníamos todos estos productos nuevos, todo fue sorpresivo(al menos para mí) y es que en Apple no nos dieron ni para un respiro…en unas horas ya teníamos iMacs de 27″, Macbook de policarbonato blanco estilo unibody y un Mouse ( el ahora llamado Magic mouse) totalmente multi-touch. Claramente eran demasiadas emociones para un solo día y  a los maqueros de todo el mundo, supongo, nos constó un poco digerir la noticia. En fin, estoy aquí para hacer un review completo de las nuevas unidades ofrecidas por Apple, así que vamos a ello.

Lo primero que me vi fueron los nuevos iMacs así que empezaremos por ahí. Como pueden apreciar, lo primero que nos impacta son los nuevos tamaños de 21.5″ y de 27″ con una sorprendente resolución de 2560×1440…. una maravilla. Dentro de los mismos iMac nuevos, también nos llama la atención el aumento en la potencia que poseen estos ahora, con la posesión de los nuevos procesadores intel Quad Core i5/i7 realmente alcanzan niveles nunca antes vistos en un iMac, ahora si con la potencia que ameraba tener y no la tenía.

Otro punto importante en cuento al hardware de los nuevos iMacs es el significativo aumento que tuve en cuanto a capacidad de disco duro, que van desde 500GB, el más básico hasta los 2TB de disco duro. Y si de gráficos se trata, los iMacs van desde una Nvidia GeForce 9400M, hasta una ATI Radeon 2850.

En lo personal, creo que este nuevo modelito de iMac que ha lanzado Apple está bastante suculento.

Otro de los productos que ha hecho noticia por estos días son los nuevos y renovados Macbooks de policarbonato blanco, con su admirable diseño y la nueva potencia interna que le han atribuido, creo que serán la nueva ‘niña bonita’ de las ventas de apple, como lo fue y sigue siendo el Macbook pro de 13″.

En cuanto a características técnicas este nuevo Macbook costa con una pantalla con retroiluminación LED, tal cual como las que tiene la linea Pro de portátiles de Apple; también tiene un trackpad Multi-touch de cristal y una innovadora batería que brinda hasta 7 horas de autonomía. En cuanto a diseño, el nuevo Macbook nos sorprende con su forma unibody, es decir, solo un bloque de policarbonato y no piezas encagadas en otras como el ya antiguo Macbook que todos conocemos.

Los nuevos Macbooks incluyen un procesador intel 2 core duo corriendo a 2,26GhZ, cuenta con 2GB de RAM y un disco duro interno de 250GB y gráficos  Nvidia GeForce 9400M; como ya estamos acostumbrados, el Macbook es el computador perfecto para empezar en el mundo de Mac pero ahora, un poco más potente y ‘bonito’.
No nos olvidemos de uno de los ‘pequeños gigantes’ de sobremesa que tiene Apple, al cual ahora le dío un lavado de cara también junto a sus otros productos, me refiero al Mac mini, al que desde ahora podemos encontrar en 3 variedades. La primera costa con un procesador intel 2 core duo, 1,66GhZ,2GB de RAM y 160 de disco duro.

La segunda variedad que es más completa y potente tiene por procesador un intel core 2 duo, 2,53GhZ,4GB de RAM y 320 de disco duro. Pero lo interesante e innovador está en la tercera variedad… un Mac mini acondicionado especialmente para Snow Leopard. Consta con dos discos duros de 500GB cada uno, así hacen 1TB de disco duro… el nuevo pequeño gigante más potente que nunca.

En todo este lío de los nuevos productos de Apple no puedo dejar de considerar los recién estrenados periféricos que la gente de Cupertino hizo para nosotros, y es que sencillamente los encuentro maravillosos… una obra de ingeniería notable. Lo primero que revisaremos será el Magic Mouse, básicamente el hermano mayor del Mighty Mouse, bastante más funcional, más cómodo, mucho más moderno y por supuesto, más bonito. El Magic Mouse es totalmente Multi.Touch, podemos bajar y subir las páginas solo con el dedo, como si se tratase de un trackpad, y aún así mejor; en fin, creo que las palabras se quedan cortas para describir este aparato, el funcionamiento lo pueden ver en este video.

Bueno esta sería toda la precentación y revisión de los nuevos productos de apple, en lo personal considero que el avanze de los equipos, especialmente con los iMacs fue, por lo bajo, destacable y espero que la empresa siga así, como nos gusta, innovando y siendo tan creativos como lo han sido hasta ahora.

So, i bought the Mac yesterday then.

It’s been on my mind for a while, and yesterday I seized the chance. I was in Leicester, home of the nearest Apple store to where I live, so I just went in there and bought the Mini. I’ve got a keyboard, monitor and mouse/tablet, but even so i still bought a new Mac keyboard. For some reason P/S2 to USB connectors are really hard to find. And the Mac keyboard goes so well with the Mini!

It was incredibly easy to set up, and so very quiet! No noise whatsoever when the computer is on - I’m just not used to silence. I did manage to fuck it up though, managing to reinstall the OS when i didn’t need too. Took a few hours. Oops! 

Happy that i’ve made the leap now, and unconcerned about the lack of hard drive space. £55 for a 500gb external hard drive should sort that problem out. As for now, i’m just going to be spending the next few days fiddling. Getting used to a completely new operating system, which to be honest isn’t drastically different from Windows.

Made the quantum leap! Now a macwanker!

More tommorow. Right now i’ve had enough. Spent all evening getting everything installed, redoing my iPhone library… I’m knackered. But even so, what a machine!

Typing stuff using the apple keyboard is soo slick, so cool, so flat! Typing is such a breeze and it feels good and sounds quiet too. 

So my mum bough a mini mac which costed about a thousand bucks. Shes getting it because she is starting on a new work-at-home project that would earned her an extra income on a monthly basis once it has kicked off. But the work requires a mac computer so we got one for her, in the hopes that the investment would make good returns in the long run. 

So just yesterday i had to buy the apple keyboard, since it doesnt comes with it and it requires the keyboard to work efficiently. I tried on my computer first and connected to my own pc just to have a feel of the keyboard. And boy it is heaven on the fingers!!

A couple months back, i told myself that the apple keyboard feels so good on the fingers. I nearly got one for myself back then. It costed about 78 bucks and i thought long and hard before forgoing the purchase to the end. I thought to myself, well it must be an impulse buy, and since i dont spend too much time on my pc typing stuff all day, it must simply be a vanity to own one. 

But now, im so getting it tomorrow. Its sooo flat and it feels soo good that it inspired me to write something, anything just to feel good using the new keyboard (although technically, its not mine) that i decided to give this blog a small update, after several weeks of inactivity. 

So here i am, typing away, letting my fingers feeling orgasmic!!

Der kleine aber feine Mini Mac von Apple eignet sich perfekt als Media Center für das Wohnzimmer. Ich selbst hab den Mini Mac im Wohnzimmer stehen und steuere ihn über Front Row. Die Bildausgabe habe ich über DVI auf HDMI an meinem Plasmafernseher angeschlossen. Die Audioausgabe erfolgt über den “Analog/Digitalen” Fibre Optic Augang vom Mini Mac zum Logitech Z-5500 Digital 5.1 THX System. Die Multimediadaten werden auf der Time Capsule gehostet. Die Bedienung erfolgt mittels Front Row Fernbedienung welche sich mit einer Zusatzsoftware namens Remote Buddy von IO Spirit perfekt erweitern läßt. Auch das herunterfahren ist dann über die Front Row Fernbedienung möglich! Farzit das Media Center ist echt eine feine Sache

La Macintosh sta veramente superando ogni limite in ambito tecnologico , ognuno adesso può migliorare le proprie prestazioni a seconda di ciò che deve fare. Infatti , esistono sei tipologie di computer Mac :

1) iMac (nella foto) : E’ il massimo della tecnologia , infatti non ha case . Tutto quello che ha è inglobato nello schermo e questa macchina ha alte prestazioni che non possono essere cambiate durante gli anni (per cambiarle bisogna comprare il Mac nuovo che di solito esce uno ogni 2 anni) , molti attacchi USB per connettere periferiche come mouse e tastiera e soprattutto la piena sicurezza su Internet e stabilità di sistema.

2) Mac PRO : Man mano che saliamo con la tecnologia aumentano anche i costi , questa macchina a prima vista è paragonabile ad un comune pc che si possiede in ogni casa , ovvero ha un midi-tower dove può essere “aggiornato” con l’aumentare della tecnologia ma il tutto richiede un portafoglio già per le impostazioni di base.

3) Mini Mac : A prima vista sembrerebbe una scatola quadrata , ma è veramente potente. Questa “scatola” collegata ad un pc comune , crea un ambiente di lavoro Mac che sostituisce l’iMac solo che possiede specifiche organizzative e architetturali per il resto deve esserci il vostro pc a dare il resto

4) Mac Book & Mac Book PRO : (la classica versione Note book della mac)

5) Mac Server : offre il necessario per fornire servizi internet e per gruppi di lavoro , il tutto in maniera sicura , in qualità Mac

Inoltre tutti questi Mac che vi ho elencato hanno la capacità di connettere a più schermi anche per lavorare su più sistemi operativi in piena compatibilità.

In generale vi elenco i pro e i contro di questo OS :

PRO : Massima sicurezza in internet , piena gestione delle periferiche , usato per grafica o per alte prestazioni di campionature di suoni garantisce il massimo della stabilità.

CONTRO : Sebbene lo schermo parta dal formato minimo dei 20 pollici a prima vista sembra un pò ridotto come un 15 pollici effettivo , scarsa compatibilità programmi e giochi non sono ancora supportati per Mac (ma da dire che c’e la Eidos che sta per lanciare un gioco per Mac)

Over a month ago I posted about Internetwork Expert’s plans to create a Class On Demand for using Dynamips on a Mini Mac:

Building on the strength of their excellent Dynamips for Windows class-on-demand, IE will be releasing a COD for Dynamips using the MAC OSx operating system.   This class is scheduled to be available some time during the week of 17 – 21 September.

The original dates have since come and gone, but today I see that they have a page up dedicated to using Dynamips on a Mini Mac.  No COD at this point, but lots of good information.

La Mini Mac es especialmente temperamental. Ocacionalmente se chupa los CD-DVDs.

El problema es doble porque mi Mini Mac tiene teclado de PC y algunas instrucciones solo estan para Teclado de Mac y debo buscar las equivalencias; en este caso la encontré.

Para acceder al Open Firmware, mantenga presionadas Command-Option-O-F (en teclados de PC es Alt-windows-O-F ) durante el startup.

Ahora bien el 2do problema que tengo es que no me toma el comando, y llegado un punto se apaga. (tendre un 2do problema simultaneo?)
