Regular readers of the blog might be aware that i’m quite the fan of the Deadmau5 track Ghosts ‘n’ Stuff (yes, even the Rob Swire vocal version grew on me). I posted the video to the track about a month ago as part of our halloween run up but was unable to post the MP3 as Deadmau5 had been moaning about bloggers doing just that.

So I was quite excited when I received this ‘Refix’ by Elite Force which is being released as a free download to promote his new album ‘Re: Vamped’ (due february 2010). The track itself is not too dissimilar to the original instrumental version (which is a good thing) and the subtle changes haven’t taken anything away from what was already a great track. Let me know what you think? I’m definitely digging it and what with collaborations on the album from D. Ramirez, Propellor Heads, Plump DJ’s, Wolfgang Gartner, Stanton Warriors and more -  I can’t wait to get my hands on it.

Das war ja nun eine der hartnäckigsten Erkältungen, die ich je hatte. Da wurde alles aufgefahren, was die Heilkunst zu bieten hat: Gelomyrtol forte, Infrarot-Kuren, Salzwasserspülungen und täglich drei Inhalationen. Am Schluss Antibiotika. Sechs Wochen nichts als Ärger mit Stirn- und Nebenhöhlen, zwischendurch noch ein grippaler Infekt. Fünf Kilo zugenommen. Zum Trotz begann ich wieder zu Rauchen, denn ich fühlte mich seit meinem Rauchstopp ziemlich gestraft mit all diesen Symptomen. Und natürlich – ich hätte es erwarten können – war das erneute Rauchen absoluter Mist und verschlimmerte die Sache noch mehr. Also höre ich mal wieder auf. Es geht mir einfach körperlich und seelisch viel besser, wenn ich nicht rauche. Und endlich fühle ich mich nicht mehr ganz so erkältet. Das Leben normalisiert sich wieder, Gott sei Dank.

Our man Leo is reaching for Scott Ferguson levels of guest mix contributions! This newest one is the third (and I believe final) in his “House Classics” series; the first one was for Real Soon’s website, and the second was for Mnml Ssgs. This one features many Chicago classics, as well as some deep NYC jams mixed in with other tunes of a similar vibe. There’s a bunch of Nu Groove joints on here, which reminds me to say that his “Night Radio EP” is finally out for real on Uzuri and it features a remix by the Nu Groove artist Elbee Bad.

Ikonnikov Oleg was born in Moscow. He started his professional work with electronic music in 2001.
Collecting vinyl records, he started to experiment with different music directions, but the serious interest to techno music came to him after the record “Wighnomy Brothers & Robag Wruhme — Polytikk Ep” got in his hands.
Deep sounds and dynamics of this record just turned over all his earlier impressions about music in the literal sense.

Lega becomes the resident of one Moscow radio station DeepMix in 2006, and also of the parties of the same name in such clubs as “Mix” and “Paparazzi Bar”. Right up to 2009 are led weekly internet translations of sets with his participation from the Cartoon and Cotton studios. Now Lega is an organizer of the parties named “Tech It Easy” in the “Solyanka” club, and also the founder of Russian-Swiss label “237 Family Records”.
