I recently went on a trip to Hawaii to see two friends get married. The trip was amazing, fun, and I cried when I got back to work because my tan had only been half way completed for the duration of time that I was able to stay in Hawaii. The trip was overall an awesome one, but I failed to bring a Hapa husband back for myself. Haha.

Anyway, story time. Let me go ahead and set the scene. I am heading to the airport in Honolulu to return to cold of San Fran. I find out that my flight is delayed 2 hours and I grumble to myself and kick myself for not calling in to make sure if the flight was going to be on time. As I sit in the lobby I observe all the passengers for my flight and see older white couples, families, a younger guy wearing a backwards baseball cap, a larger read head dude watching the new Tinker Bell movie and some blonde girls that look college-aged. I zoned out to my iPod thinking who I would be set next to and if they would be remotely interesting at all.

Two hours later:
I board the plane in group three and walk down and count to row 26. My seat is ‘A’ which is the window seat – prime sleeping seat where I can lean to my left and close my eyes for the five hour flight! I count and guess that my seat is the open one next to the guy wearing the backwards baseball cap. I had noticed the skateboard on his backpack while walking down and hoped that I may be his neighbor. I arrive at my row and lo and behold, my seat is next to baseball cap boy and a older German man sitting in the aisle. I plop myself down after stowing my luggage and rummage for a magazine to read. I peer over to baseball cap’s iPhone as he watches some random videos. He notices that I look disappointed with the reading material and offers me his skateboarding magazine to look at. I thank him then ask him about skateboarding and initiate conversation. The conversation leads to other topics where we end up revealing a lot about ourselves to each other. From more personal subjects to being jailed over Halloween weekend to jokes about the manner in which I was trying to open up my yogurt lasted for the entire five-hour flight. It felt like a blind date in some ways. There were no expectations, and free of awkward silences. He made it a point 3 hours into the flight that we didn’t know each others names at that it was “kinda nice”. He proposed that we find interesting ways to reveal our names to each other. I agreed and continued talking about topics such as travel, jobs, food, and music. Sharing our love for Lee’s Vietnamese sandwiches continued to bring us closer together as we found more things in common. At the end of the trip neither of us had thought of interesting ways to reveal our names so I ripped off a piece of the airline barf bags and wrote my number on it with my name written in Japanese. As we were walking towards the exits I passed him the paper. He opened up for a hug and I stuck my hand out for a handshake. Feeling a little flustered, and desperate to use the bathroom I said “see ya” and headed for the bathrooms as he left his separate way to the BART station.

The next morning:
I received a text from an unknown number saying “Dave’s #” This was the fake name I had made up for him in my delirious plane-riding state of mind. I laughed and was happy he had not lost my number. We texted from Tuesday to Thursday, with little jokes and arrangements to meet on Friday. I was impressed with his careful spelling and the content of his messages. Nothing was one word answers and most messages included some sort of joke or reference.

Friday meeting at 1:00 pm:
I was greeted with a morning text of “Let’s eat!” and then a “And good morning btw” haha. It made me smile as I woke up early to start an early-ish day in the city. I meet him at Civic Center and head to the Tenderloin district for the Vietnamese Sandwiches. We sit, eat, talk for a while then start walking up through the Marina. I don’t even know what we talked about….everything probably. But the feeling of comfort and ease permeated the air around us. It was nice. As hours passed, shops were passed, places he likes were pointed out and a coffee was had. We ended up at Fort Mason where he skate boarded as I snapped photos. He visited his old restaurant as I wandered around snapping more photos. The sun was already setting as I convinced him to stop by my friend’s pot luck party. On or way there, we stopped by his favorite bar, and had a beer on a bartender he knew from back when he lived in the area. I admired the big foot sculpture and the stuffed dead animals donning the walls of the woody cabin themed bar. As he chatted to his bartended friend, a weird lady began to talk to me and maybe hit on me. She disclosed random information about herself as she leaned in close to me to talk to me while seemingly trying to look down my shirt. When she left, he and I laughed about it and finished our beers. We headed to the party and he was welcomed with smiles and laughs. At around 10:00 pm he gets a call from his friends to join them and I walk him two blocks away. We hug and he says that he’ll try to meet up with me and my friends again. I smile with hope, but understand that he has his friends to tend to. I party with my friends and don’t hear from him until he gets off his plane in Hawaii at around 2:00 pm. “So sad that I didn’t get to meet back up last night.” It made me sad and happy. Maybe it’s for the better. I had a feeling that if I saw him again it might have ruined the whole experience of our day-long “date” or sorts. It still feels like I was in a movie. So strange. And now I think I have a little crush, I wonder if he does?

I said it was deserving of its own post, so here it is: Mama’s Royal Cafe!

Located on the border of the Temescal and Piedmont neighborhood’s in Oakland at Broadway and 40th, Mama’s is an Oakland institution. They opened their doors over 35 years ago in this same spot and have been going strong ever since.

I went Saturday morning after a brief discussion with a friend who lives close by:

“Let’s go, let’s go, let’s go!” I said. “There are already folks lining up outside.”

He said, “Well maybe we should go somewhere else…”

And I replied, “I want my Mama’s!!!“

End of discussion. And so we walked, and we waited, and as I’ve said before, it’s always worth it!

The thing that makes Mama’s unique is their combo of vintage eclectic decor with today’s fancy farm-fresh local produce. You’re in this classic diner-feeling establishment, eating Niman Ranch meats, Petaluma eggs, Acme bread (which is out of this world… when they ask you what kind of toast you want, the correct answer is “Acme”), and amazing seasonal fruits and veggies, typically featured in their specials of the day.

I had one of their specials on this visit: a roasted fennel frittata with carmelized onions, parmesan cheese and a few other yummy ingredients. Served with perfect potatoes crispy-cooked (it amazes me how many breakfast places have mediocre potatoes), and that incredible Acme toast. I made my way through my entire platter of food and was munching on my last piece of toast when my friend said, “That bread is the best!” I only had three bites left, slathered in butter and jam, but I offered it to him. I was already over-stuffed, and in general, am working on being a better sharer. He was grateful.

One of my favorite Summer Specials is their fresh fruit crepes. They only serve this when the most amazing berries, mangoes, nectarines, and kiwis are available, all tucked into delectable crepes with a créme fraîche sauce to die for. If you’re like me – you have a hard time deciding between sweet and savory and are always trying to talk your friends into getting both and splitting them – this is a great one to get. Unfortunately, you’ll have to wait about 8 months before it’s available again. It’s worth the wait!

The restaurant has 3 rooms… the main entrance leads you into the sign-up area, coffee station, counter seating, and small tables near the window. Next over is a narrow room filled with wooden bench booths… this is a cool spot if you want a little privacy. Each booth has possesses one of these quaint little jukeboxes (unfortunately now inoperable) which back in the day, played two songs for a nickel… “the equivalent of two complete records!“

The farthest room is the largest… ideal for bigger groups and great people watching.

The entire restaurant is filled with quirky art… vintage aprons and teacups galore, boomer era advertising (I love the Mixmaster poster above – “it even polishes silverware!”), Poodle with a Mohawk, and of course, the wonderful napkin art.

Every spring, Mama’s hosts their annual Napkin Art Contest with real cash prizes… this is no joke! Top napkin takes four hundred smackerooos, second and third get $200 and $100 respectively, plus more complimentary breakfasts and kids prizes too. Only requirement is that a paper napkin must be used. 2010 entries due March 31st… prizes distributed April 15th. You can see original winning entries displayed at the restaurant, and photos of winners in Mama’s online photo gallery. This stuff is amazing!

He called me on Skype today!! We spoke for two and a half hours catching up on the last three and a half years of our lives. It was nice to be able to talk to him comfortably, like old friends. Even though we were not all that close in college, I felt our friendship was a rich and fun one. Although the relationship was fueled by my high school girl crush on him, it was still a good friendship that we shared. We reminisced about college and he brought up the night that we drunkenly made out. He remembered the soundtrack that was playing in the background. This was something that I had forgotten, but was quickly reminded when he mentioned it. We laughed, and I didn’t feel awkward about it. I’m glad that we can still be friends after all these years and not let the past awkwardness get in the way. I also recalled the time when I nervously confessed my crush on him. I was lightly put down as he was stuck in some love triangle that was messy and emotionally abusive. Silly boy. He’s such a sweetheart as he told me how shitty he felt for putting me down. I’m not sure if he was being nice, but he said: “If my circumstances were different, our friendship may have gone in a different direction.” If only….*sigh*

And the ‘deed’ is referring to noncommital sex. I wasn’t really planning on it at all, but it just sort of happened. I decided when I thought “F*ck it. I can compromise my morals in my life. Just once….” I do see myself as a person with a lot of personal standards and integrity; and I must say that I am a conservative person, especially on the subject of sex. I would say I am a person who avoids (and has never, until now) having sex outside of a committed relationship. As I lay awake in his bed this morning – trying to fall asleep – I become distracted from the unfamiliar sounds of his roommates getting ready to go to work/training at 4 am and his snores. I thought right away, “I want to DatingOrgy blog about this!” As I sit in the Starbucks at 8:00 am in the morning, after leaving his place, I am doing the ‘walk of shame’ as I wear the clothes I wore yesterday. I wrote in a notepad in order to get my thoughts down as I fear that when I get home that I would have forgotten what to write.

Last night began as an innocent night of a video game marathon. After about three and a half hours of Borderlands, Tekkan and Street Fighter, he turns off the games and turns on Robot Chicken. While mashing on the controls while we were playing, I felt like a Junior High School kid again. My heart racing, shouting at the TV and making fun of your opponent’s lack of skills. There was so conversation, but nothing that significant. He explained Borderlands – his new obsession- to me and watched me fail miserably at even trying to run and shoot targets. We laughed and moved back on to fighting games. When the games we turned off, I thought in my head: “Does he want me to leave or stay? He hasn’t said anything either way?” At this point in the evening, we hadn’t so much as hugged or anything, so I thought that maybe he wasn’t interested in me anymore. He lay back in his bed, and I finally joined him as I curled up next to him. Lying there, I could see that he was getting aroused. I looked up at his face and asked him if I should stay of leave. He had his hands covering his face in a manner that looked like he was concerned about what might happen and the possible rejection that he encountered with me the last time we hung out. I asked him if anything was wrong, but he could not answer. We lay there for a long while and I made my first move. Slowly, but surely……(details, details). I’m sure he got most of what he had fantasized about since the day we first met in passing back in May of 2009.

Part of me thinks that I should be upset at myself for compromising my morals, and especially for someone I hardly know. Another part of me says: “Fuck it, you’re single and young and have no one to report to.” Maybe it was the influence from some of my coworkers, maybe it’s an effect of my recently found single-dom, and maybe it’s in response to left over sexual attraction from a friend who visited this past weekend. Who knows? All I know is that most of my girlfriends would have been against the idea of seeing him again. Of course, this impromptu night was arranged without the consultation of said girlfriends. So here I am, telling the world about my secret affair.

We hugged as he left for work and kissed goodbye. I could see a smile on his face when he kissed me. That’s a good image to bring back with me, but now I need to have no further expectations. I am going to keep it this way. My motto for right now is: “FUCK IT! I’ll do what I want!”

A big college crush of mine recently contacted me on facebook. I had such a HUGE crush on him and even drunkenly made out with him once, hoping that it would spark interest. Alas it did not as he told me that he was sleeping with his best girl-friend from HS and it was a “messy situation”. Goddammit. And then he moved back to SD and then we never spoke again. Anyway I still think he’s adorable and it looks like he’s going to med school. He used to not be the brightest crayon in the box, but maybe he’s gotten smarter? I wonder why he’s contacting me now. Facebook says that he has a girlfriend…hmmmmm.

He asked if I have skype, and I gave him my number too. This is what he said: “i just put on my skype headset to call you… and then i got nervous and chickened out. I didnt want to disturb. its like 6 pm for me but depending on where you are i think its like 3pm for u.. when is usually a good time to call??”

That’s kinda cute. Let’s see what happens!

My situation right now is that I’ve been single since mid-August. That’s about a month and a half at this point. I have a story that involved a rebound boy that started off as promising “awhh that’s so cute” story for the “How did you guys meet?” story. So the story goes like this, but does not have the fairytale ending that we all hoped for. That’s normal in this life, right?

Here is the story in a time line format. I don’t know why, but sometimes it’s interesting to see how things unravel and change over time.

April 30th : I was tired after work but was down for some hanging out. I called some friends but they were either working or unavailable for one reason or another. I decided to go to the mall for some ’shopping therapy’. I go to a store and want to try something out for the hell of it. I wander over to the dressing rooms, half dazed from a busy work week, and ask the guy standing there: “uhhh are these the dressing rooms?” He looks at me blankly and says “uhh no. They are not.” My response to his sarcasm is: “Don’t mess with be because I’ve been working with bratty kids all week.” We get to talking and realize that we work in the same field but at slightly different facilities. We BS for a bit and exchange names. I also make it a conscious effort to not mention that I have a boyfriend at the time (although there was no opportunity for it to come up on either ends of the conversation). He helps me out while making fun of my purchase and does not give me a discount. I think to myself: “I hope I wasn’t flirting, and I guess I wasn’t if no discount was offered.” I walk out of the store having enjoyed a conversation with a stranger.

Three days later: I find a letter in my work’s mailbox with a picture of a cartoon character (that pertains to my name) posted to the front. I open the letter thinking it is from a kid a work who wanted to write me a big thank you for helping them out and apologizing for cussing me out the previous day. I open it to find that it’s a letter from the guy who I met in the store. It was an innocent letter which basically said “I enjoyed talking to you…you seem like a down to earth person…I wanted to know if we could get to know each other…(email addy and phone number)…” I was touched and opted to not throw away the letter. I emailed him and then texted him to basically let him know that I was flattered and that I had a boyfriend. His response was non-response towards the whole boyfriend issue. And I don’t really remember much of what he said.

May to August: As I was still with my boyfriend (now, ex) this guys would randomly text me: “My friend is having a party, etc etc.”, “I’m in Vegas”, “You should watch Transformers.” Random messages. Some of which I would not reply to, since my guilty conscience would creep in and tell me to keep my distance away from temptation of talking to a male stranger when in a relationship. There was even a phone call or two made, but just for the “hey you should go to this concert” but we kept missing each other and I rejected him phone call back since I was in the company of the bf.

End of August: Post break up, I was not really that public with the news. It had been long coming but I put it off for one excuse after the other. Anyway, I was single, free and looking for someone else to fill my lonely nights with phone calls and cuddles.

Beginning of September: I go to the mall and by the store he works for two days in a row since I had to go shopping for the kids at work. Both times he was there and surprised from my visits. I wasn’t even sure that I would recognize him and was surprised that he opened up with a hug to greet me. It felt nice and we chatted about random things. I didn’t mention the break up at all.

A few days after: We began to text more often, exchanged AIM screen names etc. We had some short conversations that were flirty. He began to message me “good morning cutie” and little messages of that nature. They made me smile. I eventually told him that I was single again. There we conversations about arranging to hang out and talk about going to the movies. As a busy single girl with things to do, and a crazy work schedule, he sort of became annoyed at my lack of availability.

Mid September: We finally meet for dinner and a movie. He did not offer to pay for either so I did not consider it as a date as such. During the movie he made excuses to whisper comments into my ear during the movie and also to hold hold my hands during parts at which I was cringing in horror at (it was a bloody/ violent movie). I let him hold my hand to kind of test myself to see if I was over the ex. It felt nice and made me warm and fuzzy inside. After the movie we hugged a longish hug and parted ways.

September: We text on a daily basis and try to arrange to meet up again. I meet up with him at his place, watch a movie and of course end up making out, plus more. I had already told myself to set my limits, but I caved. It felt good to kiss someone and to feel passion that I haven’t shared with someone in a long time. It was a fun night even though something about hm upset me a bit. I chose to just take it lightly and move on and enjoy it.

Beginning of October: The texting becomes less frequent and we meet two weeks after that night due to not being able to make time for each other. We plan to meet with somewhat loose plans for a Friday night. I arrive at the discussed time and he is one hour late. We make out in his attempts to cheer me up, but the night is ruined when he wants to push me past my limit of ‘having fun’. I return home upset and confused about what he wants with me.

Right now: Texing as decreased significantly. He has not initiated texts and the only times he does text seems to be when he is drunk. No more of the flirty “good morning” texts have made me upset. I committed to not texting him, but when he initiates it, curiosity gets a hold on me and I respond to his lame texts. sigh.

Right now the ‘cute’ beginning of this story is confusing me with the bitterness of the last encounter we had and the lack of flirty texting. Help me. I just got out of a relationship and I feel emotionally attached to a ‘make out buddy’ who I can’t help but think is hot. Damn it. I need to stop and get over the ‘cute letter’ he wrote to me that I’m staring at right now.

Mixmaster signing in to begin writing about my adventures, mis-adventures and non-adventures in the dating world. My thoughts, concerns, and endeavors will be documented here for all to read. I’ll begin with my thoughts from last night as I was cuddling up with my girl-friends in the short movie tent at the Treasure Island Music Fest 2009. While looking around the cold and dark tent, I couldn’t help but notice cozy couples hugging up on each other. As jealous thoughts crept in my head about how comfy and warm they looked on such a cold festival day, I longed to find a partner whom I could go to music festivals with. It’s funny how my ideal boy would be a boy who enjoys such music festivals and the genre of music I like, but none of my past boyfriends have been that type of boy. As I wove through the crowds of indie/hipsters/music lovers etc., I couldn’t help but think that some of these people fit the mold of being ‘indie’ or ‘hipster’ to the point where I was turned off. What kind of boy do I want to end up with? I’m still trying to figure it out.

Let me rewind to 2 months ago. I was with a boy for about two and a half years. We had met while traveling and explored countries, cities, towns and mountains together. It was fun, but there was always a thought that lingered in the back of my mind. Do I actually love him?, or just the companionship in a foreign country? The question continued to pop into my head time and time again and I finally made the decision to end it after nearly a year of moving back to California. My feelings towards him had waned to the point where the relationship was ‘comfortable’ and sometimes would prove more to be a burden than a joy. I did it, and here I am. Single and dependent on activities, friends and my stuffed animals for comfort and distraction.

I’m going to listen to “Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots” as I sign off.

The movie Transformers 2 The Revenge of the Fallen was released at theaters on July 2nd and it

The movie Transformers 2 The Revenge of the Fallen was released at theaters on July 2nd and it’s still going strong. As part of the advertising you will be sure to see all kinds of Transformers merchandise at stores including action figures. Nothing beats the original line of Transformers toys but I get kids at the store asking me what is my favorite one….

It’s clearly Grimlock. Love ‘em to death….who doesn’t love a Robot that can transform to a Dinosaur! It’s gotta be cool when Grimlock converts to a T-Rex. Most of the kids who don’t know much about Transformers then ask me where did he appear in the second movie….Never. Hopefully, he will be appearing in the third installment.

Based on the recent TF 2 movie, I would have to say that “Mixmaster” is a pretty cool Transformers. From cement truck to a Decepticon bad-ass Dude, I kind of like this toy.

At 8 inches, the Voyager Class represents the mid-range figures from Hasbro’s Transformers 2 movie toys collection. And Revenge of the Fallen brings with it a whole new line of characters, leading off with an epic new figure: The Fallen. One of only 13 original Transformers, the Fallen is the ultimate nemesis of Autobot leader Optimus Prime. He is the newest of the Transformers 2 Figures and provides an strange ally to those such as Demolishor, Starscream and Megatron, but a worthy for for Prime’s team. You can find all your favorite Transformers toys at cmdstore.com.

The immortal words of Mikaela Banes (Megan Fox) to Sam Witwicky (Shia LaBeouf). Well, if you’ve been caught cheating by your girlfriend with a humanoid transformer that attacks you, prompting your girlfriend to save your ass so you would stop screaming like a crazed woman, then you deserve it.

The transformers? They’ve been here a lonnggg, long time ago.

—Seymour Simmons

Optimus is more fierce in the sequel!

I was late for the premier of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. Well, maybe for just 7-10 minutes, but you never what movie scenes you could miss in that short span of time. I had no idea it would start earlier than the movie theater’s standard opening time. As soon as I was seated and looked at the silver screen, Optimus Prime (voiced by Peter Cullen) had already jumped off an aircraft carrier, supported by three parachutes. Makes me wonder how light the transformers can be.

The sequel to the 2007 hit, Revenge of the Fallen expands the transformers universe with the introduction of The Fallen (voiced by Tony Todd), one of the seven original Prime Brothers who came to Earth a millennia ago. The Fallen went against his brothers by attempting to convert our sun into an energy source (energon) and to annihilate the human race. To do this, he took possession of the Matrix of Leadership, a “key” that activates a machine (the Sun Harvester) that converts suns into energon. Nonetheless, he was defeated (but not killed), and his brothers sealed the “key” into one of the Egyptian mountains with their own bodies.

"The Fallen shall rise again."

The Fallen retreated to one of the moons in Saturn, plotting his vengeance by displacing it on the Earth. He will come back. Now.

Sam, fate rarely calls upon us at a moment of our choosing.

—Optimus Prime

Megan Fox is so damn hot!

(SPOILER ALERT!) I love this sequel. New members are added to the Autobots and Decepticons. It’s easier to distinguish the bad guys from the good. Optimus engages into his Super Mode form. Megatron (voiced by Hugo Weaving) is resurrected. Optimus Prime dies. Megan Fox is back and is so damn hot and beautiful as ever–most especially when she stripped down her garage clothes to bare her body draped in a white dress with flowers on hand like she was going to marry you. And there are a lot of close-up shots of the transformers (and of course, of Megan Fox). The comedy is still there and it’s more funny with Sam’s nervous breakdown episodes, his stereotypical mom, and the inclusion of the Autobot twins. (Sequels are more funny anyway.) The movie is up-to-date with references to President Barack Obama and the swine (A H1N1) flu. The Autobots have become more fierce in their hunts for the Decepticons, which I love (caution to kids 13 years and below). Every transformer is just badass, crass, crude and wicked!! (A couple of redundancies there.) We also encounter a transformer who takes on a human form (the one Sam messes with). (I have always wondered why transformers choose to take on the forms of human-created vehicles and war crafts instead of as humans.) The movie plot gave me points to ponder on though:

Why did the government conceal the remaining fragments of the AllSpark in an easy to access chamber, ironically calling it a “secure navy base”?

Why haven’t they thought of the fact that this remaining fragment was what the Decepticons were after?

Why hasn’t the military been able to detect the cause of their communication interference, which was the penetration of their military communication satellite by a communication satellite Decepticon?

In the part where Sam is racing to get to Optimus’ body with his companions, why did they have to break up to set a decoy that hasn’t been of much use anyway?

Mind you, I’m not irate. Just pondering aloud. Anyways.

Aside from a misplaced vengeance, Revenge of the Fallen is also built on the premise of the human race coming to terms with living with the Autobots who have taken asylum on Earth. The general public don’t know it yet, but the military forces and the autobots have established a partnership through N.E.S.T., the main objective of which is to track down and destroy the remaining Decepticons on Earth. Aside from that, this sophomore release also tackles the premise that an intergalactic war may have been brought upon the human race because of the autobots. Hurtful as it may be on the autobots, but Optimus Prime seems to accept the idea. I wouldn’t be surprised if in the third installment of the movie, there would be discrimination against the autobots.

Yes, the Transformers movie franchise is going to be a trilogy. This was apparently confirmed by Shia LaBeouf when he said that the first movie was a local war, the second is a world war, and that the third is going to be intergalactic.

Honestly, if producers Michael Bay and Steven Spielberg follow that route, the third installment would be the most memorable. It’s going to be the final movie–the climax–and it’s intergalactic in nature, a visual eye candy indeed. Provided of course, that they retain the emotional aspects of the issues tackled by the transformers and the humans for depth and sophistication. Now that I think of it, Transformers could follow in the footsteps of Lord of the Rings, depending on how the third movie would come out (although not on the aspect of gross revenue).

La Beouf, in his statement, further added that in the third, someone will, and has to die. My guess? Bumblebee. He’s the closest transformer to Sam and what better way to make it dramatic but to kill off the underdog transformer who has endeared himself not only to Sam, but to the movie fans as well?

Imagine Starscream being this close to you...

These are only presumptions. Who knows? Maybe Mikaela would be the one to die and maybe it wouldn’t be a trilogy–maybe a tetralogy, heptalogy, etc. But I am definite of one thing: the transformers movie franchise would not stop with Revenge of the Fallen. In my experience with the television series, a series would never end unless Megatron would die. I believe Megatron died in the first so that the story could close should the movie flop. But it didn’t. (And anyway, in the first, we saw Starscream retreating to space, which gave hints of a sequel.) And so, with the fall of The Fallen and the rise of Optimus Prime, Megatron is the next to fall.

…sometimes, cowards do survive.

—Starscream

Probably the most striking character in the movie is Jetfire (voiced by Mark Ryan). He’s been turned into a Decepticon-turned-Autobot transformer civil war veteran. He materializes the fact that the transformers also get old and become old-timer. He creaks, his artillery is outdated, and he’s just so funny!

Speaking of old-timers, I saw some senior citizens apparently enjoying the film. Alas! The evidence that the transformers legacy transcends to all generations!

Since I was late, I just ran through the movie for the second time. And, I’ll watch it again tomorrow. I AM addicted to it!

Thanks to Stubbadub for rescooping the MovieWeb scoop, because otherwise I wouldn’t have heard about it…

Apparently Mike Patton is confirmed as being the voice of a Decepticon in the upcoming sequel, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. He will be one of the seven pieces that form Devastator, likely Mixmaster. For more info, check out the MovieWeb post.

Meh, I don’t know much about Transformers mythology, but I guess I’ll at least Redbox the movie when it comes out simply due to Mike Patton’s involvement. He’s been getting a lot of movie-related gigs lately… Firecracker, Will Smith’s I Am Legend, A Perfect Place score, and the Crank 2 soundtrack (out soon). This year also “promises” another Fantômas record, the debut of Mondo Cane (Mike’s 50s Italian-pop band), at least one more John Zorn/Moonchild Trio collaboration, and maybe even Crudo (the Dan the Automator collaboration).

It may be a banner Patton year, if everything gets legs underneath…

Edit: I have craked some of the mystery! The logo on the machine does not say “JK”. It says, “DJ3K” which means Disc Jockey 3000, so is that the name of the game? Or just the machine?

For some reason, Screenhog changed the picture of the new game on the blog. Here’s what it looked like before:

Here’s the new version:

What they changed is:

The Penguin’s color

There’s “JK” written on the front of the set

The switch is glowing

It’s smaller and there’s some part of a circle or something

I think that’s it, can you find anymore? Also, do you think Screenhog did this because the game is being upated, or just for fun? What do you think? Also, I made my own version of it:

My penguin color! Do you like it?

For most people, this is just a normal game that lets you build you own theme park but for us pyro minded people this game has created a function that most pyrotechnicians need. This is the mixmaster, it lets you create fireworks displays by just drag and dropping different fireworks effects. it also lets you create your own fireworks effects but it’s not the easiest for making fireworks effects. There’s an online community that gives out different custom fireworks effects for the game and this is rctpyro.com and soon to be vpyro.com or the virtual pyrotechnics website. Together with Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 mixmaster it would also feature some other fireworks simulators like showsim and the fireworks creator. I love creating fireworks displays using rollercoaster tycoon. Here i will show one of my favorite display that i made. This show has no definite title hehe! it uses the song made for the winter olympics by david foster. The fireworks effects here was all made by sjoelie i hope that you’ll like my small pyromusical show!

Please download it in this website to see the show >> Winter Olympics Theme fireworks by vander
