So it’s been 7 month… Long and tough 7 months. Natural hair is very stressful, I am not going to lie… So many rules, so hard to keep up. I have suffered from bad hair days and sometimes I run out of idea and can’t figure out what to do with it (Thank God for hats and scarves). But will all that being said, I would not change my hair for the world, I absolutely love my hair [Its kinda like my signature ] I have also decide to stop chopping it off and let it grow. This means, I need to start doing a lot of protective hair style like braid or two strand twist.

My hair care 

I was my hair once to twice a week.

I use leave in conditioner everyday.

Deep condition (After each wash).

Protein treatment or hot oil and honey treatment (every 6 weeks).

I also let my hair air dry.

Step By Step Guide

• I start off my morning by washing my face with Clean and Clear Deep action Refreshing Gel Cleanser, then I use the Body shop Facial Brush (The facial Brush is amazing, best £3 I have ever spent… Words can not explain how amazing the brush is, very soft so it’s gently on the skin), and rinse with warm water.

• Then I apply my home-made oat and honey facial mask and leave for 10 minute (Link to a step by step guide on how to make oat and honey facial below).

• I rinse off the oat and honey mask with warm water and pat my face dry.

• Then I apply  Rescue oil and Simple Derma Lotion

Its been a crazy couple of weeks, my final year and deadline are creeping up on me, literally one month to go and can barely wait to be done with University but what is stressing me out the most is what I want to do after my graduation, I thought I had it all figured out. I really want to take a year out to do a placement then come back and do my master’s degree. Hopefully I’ll figure it out before my graduation.

On to other stuff, the weather has been lovely lately, a very good excuse for me to wear my heels. A few pictures of what I wore to uni yesterday below.

I had the opportunity to showcase some of my design at the Red Ribbon Fashion show at my university. It was fun, stressful and a wonderful experience. I got to showcase nine of my designs, which was all made last-minute, 6 of the items were made the night before.  I don’t have the picture of the actually event because I was backstage, but I have some backstage pictures. Valentine’s day,  a day of joy, happiness and Laughter, fill with affection and warm feeling, also a day of  exchanging flowers and cards. But this not the case for many of us, especially if you are single and you have no date, it can be the worst  and most annoying day of the year.

Being alone on valentine can cause depression and self-doubt. The most important thing you need to remember is valentine’s day is a commercial holiday, I call it an illegal holiday.

If you are still worried about being single then look at it this way,  you don’t have to spend any money on gifts or on any romantic gesture, you save money. It will also be a stress free day as you don’t have to worry about your outfit, about whether he or she will like the food you have prepare or the gift you’ve picked out.  You can do what ever you want, guilt free day.

If you really don’t want to be alone/by yourself, plan a fun day out with another single friend/s. Valentine’s day is not only for lovers, you can exchange gifts with friends and family, or you can treat yourself to a day at the spa.

Valentine’s day is also a great day to meet someone but don’t be desperate about it, but don’t go off with just anyone just so that you don’t have to be single on valentine’s day.

Also remember you don’t have to be in a relationship to be happy, being in a relationship doesn’t necessary grantee happiness.

Remember you are not alone, millions of single people out there spending valentine’s day alone

Apologies for the lack of post. I wasn’t going to do any outfit post till I get a new camera because I am not happy with quality of my images, but it looks like I won’t get a new camera till the ending of this month and I can’t wait that long without updating my blog, so the not so great quality images will have to do for now. I have two  sets of outfits I will be sharing with you today, my back to school outfit and my end of exam party outfit.

First up is my back to school outfit, it took me forever to get into those trouser and I tell you it’s not the most comfy trouser. I was told it’s because it is my first time wearing it, apparently the more I wear it, the more comfy it gets….. I hope so…. because walking up the stairs in those babies is not an easy task. Also wrong choice of shoes as well, the weather was not on my side, so cold, windy and rainy. Fashion is uncomfortable

This is just a simple casual outfit I wore to the hair dresser yesterday, I regret my choice of shoe because the weather was  freezing I could barely walk…. I didn’t go out like that, I was wearing my faux fur coat on top of the denim jacket, but forgot to take a picture with it on, my mum would not even let me out of the house like that. It seems like ages since I last posted, only been a week. I have been working and studying like crazy lately, but finally handed in my essay and decide to treat myself and take a well deserved break before I go back to studying for my January exams. So I went to city centre yesterday (funny thing is I actually live in city centre, shopping mall is literally 30 seconds from my flat, I usually feel silly when I dress up to go to city centre because its only 30 seconds away, always ended up wearing hoody and jeans and no make up hahaha ) and picked up a few stuff. I ordered a few stuff online too, hopefully will arrive before I leave for the Xmas break. So without further ado my Xmas shopping haul…. Image overload

:::Few Beauty Essentials:::

Hair Shampoo and Conditioner, Face wipes, Lip liner, Lip gloss, Mascara, Eye liner, Nail polish, Lip stick and hair clips. I am no good with make up, I can’t use liquid eye liner, put on a perfect eye shadow or draw on eye brows. I know the basics (Apply foundation, mascara, lipstick or lip gloss and that is about it).

Most of the lipsticks, Lip Liner and Lip Gloss are from Miss sporty. The Technic eye shadow palette looked so much like sleek eye shadow palette and this only cost me 1.99, very vibrant.

How To use according to the box:

My verdict:

The product does exactly what it says on the description box. It is ideal if you have uneven skin tones, stretch marks, pregnancy stretch marks, aging skin, dehydrated skin and scars.  It does take time for you to see changes, it takes at least 3 month on really bad scarring and marks. My dark marks are very dark, this made my leg look very uneven and unattractive. I didn’t even notice my marks were starting to fade away because I was starting to accept I am stuck with the marks forever, until my mum and my friend brought it to my attention that most of my marks have faded away. It works well on chicken pox scars as well.

I will recommend this product to anyone with scars, stretch marks, dry skin, blemished skin or uneven skin tone.  it’s cheap and effective.

Ingredients

200gram Plain Flour
125gram butter, softened
250 gram caster sugar
3 eggs
2 tablespoons red food colouring
2 tablespoons cocoa
1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 teaspoons salt
175ml buttermilk
1  teaspoons vinegar
1/2 teaspoons baking soda

Icing

80gram butter

200gram Icing sugar

25ml Milk

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Preparation

Vanilla Frosting Preparation

1. Mix the butter and the icing sugar together until well mixed.

2. Mix the milk and vanilla extract in separate bowl and add to the butter mixture a couple of spoons at a time.

3. Continue mixing until the mixture is fluffy. The longer you mix the fluffier it becomes.
