 It’s so exciting!!  I never dreamed I’d get this far in my first comp.  It was a blast, and although I’m a little sad to see it end, I will be back for Cycle 3.  But this time I’m judging.  Should be interesting!

Having left all his manscaping tape in his other pocket, Tobias was left to wander the 1970s in his au naturel state. But he’s in luck, the 1970s were well know for two things…"swinging" parties and hairy men. This shot was inspired by the famous Cosmo centerfold of Burt Reynolds on the bear skin rug. Google it! You’re welcome

The year is 3015 and it’s more apocalyptic than futuristic. The most sought after fashions are those that are best at hiding blood stains. It’s icing on the cake when you can coordinate with your Glock.

Winter: The only thing Tobias hates more than Auburn football is cold weather! ROLL TIDE!!

Spring: Tobias enjoys a nice Spring night at the local Japanese Garden.

Summer: Tobias and his girlfriend, Eden Thorne of Metallic Pussycat, enjoy there summer vacation on a Waikiki beach.

Fall: Tobias enjoys the local pumpkin patch in Appaloosa Plains.

Whew! That was a lot of work. Hope you enjoyed the eye candy.  And, for those that care, Tobias is still in First place.  But I think that’s only because we had several people drop the comp.

Not too bad considering I hated this assignment and was not at all happy with how it turned out.

So we’re only 2 points behind the #1 spot and a mere 3 points separate us from 3rd place.  So I guess that means we need to BRING IT for the next assignment. 

Speaking of assignment 3.  I have no clue what I’m going to do but I think it’ll be fun.  Lots of people have already posted their entries.  And they’re pretty awesome (of course).

I like pink.  Not too bad, right?  WRONG!!  Once this color was CASd, it became “make your eyes bleed purple”.  I had a really hard time coming up with an idea for this assignment.  So I went the fantasy route.  One problem…I hate fantasy!  So there were many, many, many variations but here is my final shot:

Although this has turned out to be my least favorite shot EVER, I did, however, learn to do some new things.  I learned how use photoshop hair brushes (used in the back horse mane), make a custom pattern (also in the horse mane), make pegasus wings, and how to use the color replacement tool.  So this wasn’t a total waste of time and energy.

A funny thing happened when I posted this pick on TSS.  Peacy mentioned Barbie and Ken when he thought of pink.  Why didn’t I think of that?!!?  I found a doll skintone and played around with that a little. Here’s an outtake that was decidedly, um, less manly…

I’d like to add that I just saw Magic Mike and the image of Matthew Mcconaughey in his crop top and hot pants was seared into my brain.

I much prefer the cleanliness of this shot.  But the judges did say “Color It Up!”  BTW, his tattoo says Midge, because she’s way more awesome than Barbie.
