<content:encoded><![CDATA[<div class='snap_preview'><p>Afgelopen november was de <a href="http://momoamsterdam.wordpress.com/2007/11/20/momo3-mobile-internet-just-do-it/">laatste Mobile Monday “Co-Create the top tips today to start tomorrow”</a>. Op basis van de presentaties van de sprekers en de bijdragen van de bezoekers werden de top tips voor mobiel internet samengesteld. Hier de video’s van deze succesvolle Mobile Monday als voorbereiding op de <a href="http://businessnetwork.meetup.com/279/calendar/6782647/">volgende op 21 januari</a>.</p>

<title><![CDATA[MoMo3: Mobile Internet Just Do It!!]]></title>

<p>Gisteravond werd de 3de <a href="http://mobilemonday.nl" title="MoMo" target="_blank">MoMo</a> gehouden in Odeon. Het thema deze keer was Mobiel Internet: &#8220;Co-Create the top tips today to start tomorrow&#8221;. Deze keer geen fancy sprekers uit het buitenland maar 2 doorgewinterde Mobiele experts uit eigen land die in 10 minuten 10 praktische tips deelden met het publiek. De eerste spreker was Mark de Buck van <a href="http://www.vodafone.nl" title="Vodafone" target="_blank">Vodafone</a> gevolgd door Laurens Rutten van <a href="http://www.momac.nl" title="MoMac" target="_blank">MoMac</a>. De derde spreker was deze keer het publiek.Ook de participanten van Mobile Monday kregen de mogelijkheid om bij te dragen om de top tips te creëren. Uiteindelijk resulteerde dit in een lijst van 28 tips voor iedereen die morgen wil beginnen met mobiel internet. Opmerkelijk was wel de feedback van mensen dat veel van deze tips(content) wel bekend zijn. Dit is opmerkelijk omdat in de praktijk veel van deze tips namelijk nog helemaal niet worden uitgevoerd/toegepast.  Onze tip dus begin eerst eens bij de <u>BASICS</u>.. <img src='http://s.wordpress.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif' alt=';-)' class='wp-smiley' />  Na een stemronde is er uiteindelijk een TOP 13 tips ontstaan(zie hieronder) die door de participanten gezamelijk is vastgesteld. Verder zorgde het hoge niveau van participatie in de vorm van tips geven en stemmen in combinatie met deze keer statafels ipv stoelen onstond er een losse en gemoedelijke sfeer die uitsekend was voor gezellig netwerken.</p>
<p>De best gewaarderde tip is gekomen van één van de participanten namelijk <a href="http://twitter.com/birdman" title="Martin Voorzanger" target="_blank">Martin Voorzanger</a>. Zijn tip was: gewoon beginnen! <img src='http://s.wordpress.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif' alt=';-)' class='wp-smiley' />  Het is verder leuk te vermelden dat 7 van de 13 TOPTIPS vanuit het publiek zijn ingebracht.</p>
<p>Op gebied van techniek was MoMo ook weer beter georganiseerd. Zo was MoMo <a href="http://operator11.com/shows/3380/episodes/30890" title="LIVE te volgen" target="_blank">LIVE te volgen</a> via Operator 11. Ook de backchannel was weer geweldig. Verder zijn de videos (dankzij <a href="http://mveldhuizen.blogspot.com/" title="Marloes" target="_blank">Marloes</a>) van het event op korte termijn te vinden op www.mobilemonday.nl.</p>
<p>Mijn kleine hoogtepunt was wel om streaming Ned3 te bekijken via een Videobril die aangesloten was op een N95 (<a href="http://www.mobypicture.com/index.php?cmd=publilog&#38;imgid=7248" title="zie foto" target="_blank">zie foto</a>)</p>
<p>Als laatste was er nieuws dat MoMo inmiddels 3 partners heeft gevonden die komend jaar MoMo gaan ondersteunen. Dat zijn <a href="http://www.webads.nl" title="WebAds" target="_blank">WebAds</a>(founding partner), <a href="http://www.mobillion.nl" title="Mobillion" target="_blank">Mobillion</a> en <a href="http://www.nedstat.nl" title="Nedstat" target="_blank">Nedstat</a>.</p>

<title><![CDATA[Blyk stumbles as research says text is best for mobile ads]]></title>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<div class='snap_preview'><p><img align="left" src="http://inbabble.wordpress.com/files/2007/07/blyk.gif" alt="blyk.gif" />As we <strong><a href="http://http://inbabble.com/2007/06/14/ad-supported-mvnos-%e2%80%93-free-and-easy/">suggested recently</a></strong>, a free, ad-supported mobile service is likely to be a tricky thing to pull off, given the lack of proven mobile advertising revenue models and uncertainty over the degree of acceptance mobile advertising will achieve as it evolves. The <strong><a href="http://business.guardian.co.uk/story/0,,2121749,00.html">news</a></strong> that <strong><a href="http://about.blyk.com/">Blyk</a></strong>, the UK MVNO planning to introduce just such a service this summer, has postponed its launch by several months, goes along way to proving that point. Meanwhile, a <strong><a href="http://www.marketingcharts.com/interactive/study-mobile-advertising-formats-the-key-to-audience-response-865/">survey</a></strong> of 1400 end users sponsored by mobile media firm <strong><a href="http://www.momac.net/">MoMac</a></strong> has revealed that most users prefer to receive their advertising in text format. What does all this mean for the future of mobile advertising?<!--more--></p>
<p>Blyk&#8217;s announcement is disappointing but not all that shocking, given the level of <strong><a href="http://www.telco2.net/blog/2007/06/mobile_advertising_future_all.html">criticism</a></strong> its proposed business model has received. Nevertheless, while the reasons for the decision are not yet clear, it would be surprising if such an <strong><a href="http://about.blyk.com/team/?name=pietila">experienced management team </a></strong>were having second thoughts about the business model per se. It seems more likely that they have decided the processes and solutions that will target advertising according to individual user preferences need more refinement.</p>
<p>However, the results of the research study published by MoMac may also give Blyk cause for concern. The study revealed that a majority (56%) of users still prefer advertising in text link form, and that only 23% of even the most video-responsive demographic &#8211; 16-24 year olds &#8211; indicated a preference for video ads. Within this context, Blyk&#8217;s stated intention to use a variety of multimedia formats to make its advertising as creative and interactive as possible could also look misguided.</p>
<p>Nevertheless, the truth of the matter is that until Blyk finally launches, and mobile advertising as a whole evolves far beyond its current embryonic state, nobody really knows what is going to work. It could easily be argued for example, that the preference for text-based ads revealed by the MoMac-sponsored study simply reflects the current state of the mobile advertising market. Text-based ads are still far more common than their more sophisticated graphics- or video-based equivalents, and many people still can&#8217;t or don&#8217;t want to consume video on their phones, regardless of the capabilities of their handset or service provider. It&#8217;s a very real possibility that in a year or two&#8217;s time, both the fortunes of Blyk, and the results of similar surveys will look very different. Only time will tell.</p>
