Wow it’s been a crazy last couple of weeks. I still haven’t even near finished blogging

Wow it’s been a crazy last couple of weeks. I still haven’t even near finished blogging about the Utah adventure, but that can be finished later. So, without further ado:

+singing “New Soul” in Yael Naim’s French/Israeli accent. I’m getting quite good at it.

+Spanish pop. I listened to “Ella Es Bonita” for three hours straight the other day. Still no match for pulling “Hands Clean” on loop for 50 times, though….

+college research! I still don’t want to go to college in America, even Belmont’s lost most of its appeal, but going abroad is so expensive. However, the Universidad de Navarra’s Humanities and Medicine programs both look incredibly tempting, and cheaper than Ivy Leagues, or even the right-off Ivy Leagues like Brown, which is where Mom’s pushing for…. Not to mention, Pampona. Gaaaaahhh.

+still lusting after Booker T. Washington (BTWHSPVA) with an unprecidented intensity. I even had a dream about the theatre program last night, which isn’t even the cluster I want to joint…it was rather scary actually.

+finding more ways to procrastinate writing. This includes staring aimlessly at Pandora while it plays me music, reading, doodling, staring at my hair, facebooking ceaslessly, making oragami lucky stars (which is harder than it looks), texting random people during school hours, having staring contests with the cats, updating this thing, flickring, practicing cursive which I’ll never use, taking walks around the house, and finally sealing all my paintings.

+psychoanalyzing my hair. It’s developed a personality of its own since coming back from Utah.

+getting into everyone’s business but my own, as I don’t have any and would honestly rather keep it that way.

+daydreaming about when I get the BMW in a few months. I’ll have a car before I’ll have a license. I’m sure Dad will have no trouble making sure it’s adequatly used in those couple months, though.

+Regina Spektor Regina Spektor Reeeegiiiinaaa Speektooooooooooooor. Especially when she sings in French.

+mastering the fine art of manipulation. Most useful thing I’ve ever learned, though it has me feeling rather Slytherin.

+texting Joey until 2am or so on weekends while he watches Star Wars and I lay on the floor because the computer power cord doesn’t reach the bed, talking about security council, how he finds my lack of faith disturbing, and our planned Eurotour.

+vocabulary, vocabulary, vocabulary. *Geekiness shines through*

+building a ‘family tree’ out of acrylic paint, old pictures, and a liberal amount of glue, while trying to trace the actual Laborde line past the mid-16th century and Jean LaBorde I.

+staring at the beautiful vintage, fold-up camera sculpture by Wire-U-Here (sadly Mike doesn’t have a site) that now sits proudly on the corner of my desk looking quite lovely.

+the most adorable picture ever of my aunt and uncle when she graduated medschool. He looks like a twelve-year-old and she’s making the happiest face. Also, my great-uncle’s in the background wearing aviators from when aviators where cool for the first time.

+learning that ‘quantity over quality’ has become a virtue in the writing community, and admantly fighting to change that.

+Wislawa Szymborska’s poetry. That woman is amazing. Favourites are ‘Family Album’ and ‘Cat in an Empty Apartment’ ♥

What about you?
