In the centre of Czech Republic is Prague the capital of the country. Its currency is the Czech crown. Prague has become one of the most visited in Europe since the fall of the Iron Curtain.

The Old Town is picturesque part of the city. The Prague Orloj is a medieval astronomical clock which is in the old towns market place mounted on the southern wall of the old town city hall and is a popular tourist attraction. The Orloj is made up of three main components. The walk of the apostles a clockwork show of the Apostles and other moving sculpture, a calendar dial with medallions representing the months and the astronomical dial showing the position of the moon and sun in the sky. The old town hall offers a panoramic view of the old town.

Charles bridge crosses the Vltava river in Prague during the day it is a busy place.

Prague Castle is the largest ancient castle in the world constructed in the 9th century by Prince Booivoj. The castle has three courtyards and is the seat of the Czech rulers and the official residence. It is the most popular sight visited in Prague and allow yourself at least half a day to visit it.

Many visitors at night just stroll over the ancient city cobblestone which are lit by the lamps of Charles Bridge and Mala Strana. The best entertainment is at a noisy pub and drinking world class brew.

But Prague s entertainment tradition is classical music many visitors leave disappointed at the level of the performances especially the operas. Government cutbacks have forced directors to skimp while many great young voices have migrated abroad or to the rock operas and musicals.

There are lots of small and quaint shops on every street in the Old Town you can buy souvenirs bohemian garnet jewels or hand cut glass. It is not custom to haggle the price the price on the tag is always fixed. There are lot of shopping malls in Prague open time are 9.00am till 8.00 pm. Visitors usually bohemian garnet or hand cut crystal.

January and February are the coldest months when the temperature are around 5C. Spring and summer are the sunniest months. Snow is rare in Prague during the winter months. May and August is the rainiest months.

Ruzyni is the city airport situated about 20 km from the city centre. There are flights to most European cities.

Gamefly’s inability to send me new releases forces me to play games not as they come out, but

Gamefly’s inability to send me new releases forces me to play games not as they come out, but rather after everyone else in North America has finished them. Here I will talk about them.

Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena

This is actually two games rolled into one but I could only suffer through the first, Escape From Butcher Bay. Escape From Butcher Bay, is a next-gen remake of an Xbox game. A frustrating Xbox game. A very frustrating Xbox game. I would almost recommend playing this game with a tether from hand to controller, a la Nintendo Wii, because you will undoubtedly want to throw the controller at your television.

Ok, so basically Escape From Butcher Bay is a first-person shooter. But not really because you don’t use guns. You’re in prison, so you use shivs! Really, really weak shivs. When you fight the prisoners of Butcher Bay, it turns into a boring game of waiting for your enemy to attack, blocking, and then stabbing them in the gut. And these guys have strong guts.

But wait it gets worse! The next portion of the game is stealth. Stealth is fun when done right. It forces you to plan ahead and plot your course. You get to use strategy, which is rare in an FPS. Too bad it doesn’t work. Basically you sneak around for five minutes avoiding detection only to have a dude with superhuman vision discover you from a mile away. Oh, and they have guns and you can’t take bullets like prisoners can take shivs. Reload checkpoint! This seriously happened to me at least 20 times throughout the course of the game. There were points where I just couldn’t understand what I was doing wrong.

After about three more hours of trying to avoid the gaze of guards wearing invisible x-ray goggles, I decided that having this disc in my 360 was hazardous to my mental health.

Verdict : 6/10

(Played the Xbox 360 version on Normal Difficulty for about five infuriating hours.)

This is my first full year posting (despite a few breaks in between) so I thought I would post the year in pictures. (It only looks long because there are a ton of photos.)

January: Big Snow Storm in Ohio pushes me going to Boston a day, so I took pictures

February: Travel to Boca Grande Florida with my parents and takes about 300+ pictures

March: The work picked up, it snowed, my friends and I made the most of it.

April: School ended, I went home, and my blog celebrated it’s one year old birthday

May: Worked hard and enjoyed the spring weather

June: Went to a wedding, got my ears pierced (long story), and had some more fun with friends

July: Celebrated my first Fourth of July in Nantucket and didn’t meet a bear

December: Leave Florence (I will return!), spend the holidays with the family, turn the big 2-1 and begin my bucket list.

Apologies for not being able to update my blog over the Christmas period, I’ve kinda had a few

Apologies for not being able to update my blog over the Christmas period, I’ve kinda had a few things to deal with in different parts of my life, from visiting home and trying to sort out family issues, to trying to deal with my own issues. so sorry lol

Anyway this hasn’t been updated since the 21/12/09 so really you would think I have a lot to write about wouldn’t you? well i don’t think there is that much but I’m just going to get it all down and see what it really is like. Since the last blog post, I’m still stressing over money due to the lack of work in december, I’ve had to lend money left, right and centre just to be able to make the rent, so christmas wasn’t a fantastic time for me this year.

After saying that this is gonna sound like a complete contradiction. lol I recently joined the local cubs and scouts group in my new local area and I’d promised them I would go out for their Christmas do. Lending more money for this wasn’t fun but the night was fantastic, it’s ages since I’ve had a proper good night out with some new people, we were able to have a fantastic laugh

On Christmas eve i woke up to a very very white outside, and was surprised to see a car drive up my road (well attempt to) because 2 secs later its wheels were spinning and it was moving backwards down the hill! yes it was true! i was officially snowed in! 3 inches of snow and it’s a citywide disaster! Now I drive a nice little sporty Pug (Peugeot 206) which unfortunately is not made for snow, it doesn’t have traction control or a heated windscreen so when it does snow I’m stuck in that sense!

After phoning home early on Christmas Eve informing them I might not make it home for christmas, I finally got out of my road when a big american style plough came down my road and completely cleared it all in one fell swoop! woohoo!

I spent Christmas at home with my family, not much to report here, just the usual family christmas things, presents breakfast, arguments, lunch, arguments, drinks, and family lol. I got lots of nice presents, mainly for my new house. S’all good

Boxing day was a chilled affair, relaxing after all the christmas celebrations I think,

Thats it really the last three days have just sort of flown past! i couldn’t tell you what I’ve done, how I did it, or who was involved, because it was honestly not that exciting or I’ve forgotten! this is why I need to update my blog daily to get some closure on the day.

I set off back to Leeds yesterday afternoon, and decided to call in on an old friend on my way, i knew this would be difficult as it’s only the second time since….
This ended up with a meal in pizza hut and a long conversation, I actually got asked the question “do you regret what you did?”
I mean how are you supposed to answer that question honestly and truthfully? if you want that person to be able to move on and find something better in their lives the only answer is “no” but that way I sound like the worlds worst. I suppose I need to sound like that to make the other person happy.
even after four months it still hurts. and I was never the sort of person to hurt other people, I’d rather keep everyone else happy and not always bother with me.

Oh well, I think I might update the blog again later, feel like I have more to say but can’t think what right now.

Feel free to comment

Image : http://www.flickr.com To lose 60 pounds in 3 months, you have your body in a state of shock

Image : http://www.flickr.com

To lose 60 pounds in 3 months, you have your body in a state of shock quickly lose much weight. Just so you know, up to 60 kg to lose in 3 months is not the easiest thing in the world, and will require you to engage in this process with a heart and soul. But with the right desire and determination, you can do.

To lose 60 pounds in 3 months, I suggest you start cleaning the body. What this does is that we have accumulated a lot of undigested pounds, to releasein your body and are weighing down and harm your health. Everyone carries a burden few digested. Through the use of a detox diet can quickly find your system all the pounds quickly lose much weight and ready for the next phase of the process. The detoxification phase lasts 10 days, and tops you will see a significant reduction in weight. I suggest you use the Master Cleanse detox diet (I link to a review of this diet at the end of this article, please read theAll).

After finishing with the detox diet, you should take a couple of days to eat a regular diet and a week before (but healthy). Then lose the next phase of your process to 60 kg in 3 months to start. In this phase you will choose will be a 2 courses:

Follow (a Calorie Shifting diet, ie, fat loss 4 idiots diet)
Follow a fitness-oriented fat loss program (I recommend Turbulence Training Program)

Again, I offer a link to a review of allthese 3 programs, the end of this article, you can learn more about each of them.

You should follow one of these 2 programs for 2 months. These provide a slower rate of weight loss of the Master Cleanse, but are still in good health for a long time just to use. It should be close to reaching your goal to lose 60 pounds in 3 months.

Approximately 10 days prior 3 months are more than you should give back to the Master Cleanse your body needs the final pushShed the last of those 60 pounds. If you do everything right, you have a good chance of losing 60 pounds in 3 months.

Haven’t posted anything in a while, mostly because of how hectic the last couple of weeks have

Haven’t posted anything in a while, mostly because of how hectic the last couple of weeks have been. I’m learning so much and I wouldn’t trade that busy schedule for anything because so much good has come of it. I think tonight is a good time to reflect.

I’ve made it through finals, and with success! I was so proud of myself, and I think my grades are an excellent reflection of the growth I’ve experienced in more areas than just one over the past few months. This semester was about more than being introduced to Shane and Shane, taking classes, and meeting new people. No, this semester was much more about learning who I am, my strengths, my weaknesses, and where it is God is taking me. It has been a semester of breakthroughs, overcoming, and empowerment of the Holy Spirit, lessons learned that I wouldn’t trade for the world.

Yes, I would say this period of my life has certainly been the most enjoyable and fulfilling, in more ways than just one.

Meeting the Shanes was O.K. They didn’t take a special interest in me, didn’t pick me out of the crowd as someone “special”, didn’t really even stop to learn who I am. And I learned much more this way than the other, because I now understand there is no need for such recognition. To grow, we all need to figure out how to be self-motivating, how to pick ourselves up and partner with God in being the driving force behind our spiritual, emotional, and mental progress. And that is the biggest lesson of all: that I must take ownership of myself, that I must not rely on anyone other than Him and I to climb out of these ruts that either I or circumstance has gotten me into, not even people like Shane and Shane

But these are the kinds of lessons that need background before they can be taught, and so it’s important to remember just where I started the year off, which was in a much different state (literally) than where I am now. Toccoa was, looking back, beneficial in some ways but honestly not the place for me. I think of the anxiety, the tears, the panic I experienced there and compare that to the victory, confidence, and understanding I’ve gained since coming to Texas and I wonder how I made it through there for two whole years.

Yes, leaving was certainly a good thing, and probably even ordained by God, and I am thankful beyond words for what He has done, but that doesn’t take away from the fact that I do have good memories from there, even if most of them are overshadowed by bad ones. I remember a few people I really connected with, my old stairwell where I started to sing, and the few people who took time to understand me better. I was a different person in the beginning of the year than I am now. Isn’t that something? And it’s entirely true; as I recall that person, I think of someone who was “marred up,” who couldn’t seem to get out the hold he’d dug for himself. I think the person I am now reflects much different traits, and I am thankful to the Father for being merciful and graceful enough to teach me how to be open, how to be receptive, so that His abundance could find me.

Yes, this past year has been quite a roller coaster ride, and I’ve come out of it all the better for it. I’ve learned to be more and more self-aware, how to determine my personality instead of letting it determine me, and I’ve seen Him work and provide in ways I never had before. My faith is stronger, relationships tighter, and awareness much more acute. I’ve learned more and more how to walk in the Spirit and I have received more and more life because of it. I really can’t wait to write a reflection for next year and see how much further the Father has brought me

The resort of Arenal, is situated along the central south coast of Majorca, approximately 10km east of the capital Palma.

There are three resorts joined by a wide pedestrian promenade. It is now impossible to determine where one resort ends and the other begins.

The resort lies at the eastern end of a 6km stretch of beach running from Can Pastilla, through Playa de Palma, and finally on to Arenal in the east.

During the summer months, Arenal and parts of Playa de Palma are very popular with young German 18 to 30s who are looking for all night clubs and bars and is certainly not suitable for a family holiday or anyone wishing to get some sleep before dawn. The town itself has a very strong German influence, with many of the numerous bars and restaurants only targeting the German tourist. Whilst the British Euro spending visitor is never turned away, you may however, feel somewhat uncomfortable in such a German dominated environment.

The weather is hot in the summer months and cooler in the winter months.

Arenal has over the years continued to expand its influence over this part of the island, and we wonder how much longer Playa de Palma and Can Pastilla will be able to resist this German invasion.

On a more positive note the beach here is very popular and shelves gently into the sea, although regrettably in recent years, despite having the internationally recognised blue flag for its facilities, cleanliness, and water quality, it has unfortunately also had a bit of a problem both from litter and Lookie Lookie Men selling genuine designer watches which are almost certainly fake, and may not even be working at all. However to be fair the Council are addressing the problem.

Finally, one feature of this stretch of coastline which you cannot fail to miss is the 15 or so huts which run the full length of the resort. These huts are small beach huts which usually have toilets, showers and a kiosk selling cold drinks and snacks. During your stay here, they will undoubtedly prove to be a useful aid to navigation around the resort and by the end of your holiday, you will inevitably be telling others have you been to the bar in front of hut 3 or the best place to catch the bus is at hut 2 etc.

The weather is hot in the summer months and cooler in the winter months.

Muhammad Salih Al-Munajjid | Language: English | Format: PDF | Pages: 27 | Size: 1 MB
Praise be to Allaah, the Lord of the Worlds, and peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, the Seal of the Prophets and Chief of the Messengers, and upon all his family and companions.

Allah’s sacred month of Muharram is a blessed and important month. It is the first month of the Hijri calendar and is one of the four sacred months concerning which Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):

“Verily, the number of months with Allaah is twelve months (in a year), so it was ordained by Allaah on the Day when He created the heavens and the earth; of them, four are sacred. That is the right religion, so wrong not yourselves therein…” [Surah al-Tawbah 936]

Abu Bakrah (may Allaah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:

“The year is twelve months of which four are sacred, the three consecutive months of Dhu’l-Qa’dah, Dhu’l-Hijjah and Muharram, and Rajab Mudar which comes between Jumaada and Sha’baan.” (Reported by al-Bukhaari, 2958)

Muharram is so called because it is a sacred (muharram) month and to confirm its sanctity.

December

December is where we begin,
where we put aside
our Octobers and Novembers
and reminisce about the different sunsets
we saw, take time to
learn the lines in our hands and trade
stories like tarot cards.
This is where we find ourselves
peeling our carbon shadows up from the
sidewalk, dusting the soot on our jeans,
and folding them into stiff linens
in our closets.

December is where we pause,
where our jackets warm like tea
with every failing half-degree and
our breath is a continuous churning jet stream
of old vapors and new worries.

December is where we end,
where we step away and our hands
are split like tangerines from one another,
clutching the last tenth of a degree
before freezing.
This is where we notice that our faces
are crystal lattice structures,
fallen from a passing storm
to wait for January.

Once upon a time, twin boys were conceived.

Weeks passed and the twins developed. As their awareness grew, they laughed for joy: “Isn’t it great that we were conceived? Isn’t it great to be alive? “

Together the twins explored their worlds. When they found their mother’s cord that gave them life, they sang for joy! “How great our mother’s love is, that she shares her own life with us!”

As weeks stretched into months, the twins noticed how much each was changing.

“What does it mean?” one asked.

“It means our stay in this world is drawing to an end.” said the other.

“But I don’t want to go,” said one. “I want to stay here always.”

“We have no choice,” said the other. “But maybe there is life after birth.”

“But how can there be?” responded one. “We will shed our life cord and how can life be possible without it? Besides, we have seen evidence that others were here before us, and none of them has returned to tell us there is life after birth. No, this is the end. Maybe there is no mother after all.”

“But there has to be,” protested the other. “How else did we get here? How do we remain alive?”

“Have you ever seen our mother?” said one.

“Maybe she only lives in our minds. Maybe we made her up because the idea made us feel good.”

So the last days in the womb were filled with deep questioning and fear.

Finally, the moment of birth arrived. When the twins had passed from their world, they opened their eyes and cried for joy – for what they saw exceeded their fondest dreams.

That is birth … and that is death.
