Timothy Conway Recants:
In our previous page on Jack Hawley’s critics, we had reported comments Tim Conway had made about deceased devotees. Our comments are below:

Timothy Conway has made some unsustainable assertions in his circular letter. He refers to longtime devotees who are now dead, whom, he asserts, left Baba over this sexual impropriety.

Here are the quotes:

What Conway said:

“On this point, we should remember the numerous longtime Sai devotees like Professors Gokak and Bhagavathum and others who have left Sathya Sai, ostensibly over the inappropriate sexual activity by Baba.

These longtime close observers obviously perceived a different meaning for Baba’s behavior than the meaning Hawley attributes to this behavior. Hawley thinks Sai’s behavior is evidence of the Divine. Gokak, Bhagavathum, and others apparently thought otherwise.”

The Sai Critic commented:

“Timothy Conway is speaking ill of the dead here. He also forgoes any remaining credibility claiming that these well known names in the Sai Haiography abandoned Sai over these matters. Gokak was Vice Chancellor and lived and died a devotee. Where is the evidence for this scurrillous assertion against a dead man? What evidence, what authorities does he cite for Gokak, Bhagavathum and others? None are offered. The ‘and others’ is a tell-tale give away, it is just a device to throw some speculation in.

Bhagavathum did indeed renounce Swami, but not as a fake, rather Bhagavathum renounced Swami as one who is simply impossible to live with. Witnesses and reputable authorities cite Bhagavathum left primarily because Swami did not give the attention to Bhagavathum’s son which the doctor demanded.

Whatever the reason, it is known Bhagavathum left Swami in a huff, and later manifested Alzheimers, a disease which wasted him unto death. There is no evidence cited by Conway or any others that Dr Bhagavathum left Baba over sexual misdemeanour or any other activity. We confidently challenge Timothy Conway to evidence his unsalutary assertions about these two deceased men of good repute and character.”

What Conway has retracted:

“First, I especially thank you for clarifying that Gokak died a devotee of Swami and that Bhagavantam left Baba for reasons other than any sexual improprieties by Baba. Along this line, I want to directly issue to you and to any other readers a MAJOR APOLOGY and a RETRACTION for passing along, not just second hand hearsay, but third-hand rumor of the most insubstantial and false variety.”

Bravo, Bravo! We salute Timothy Conway. We applaud this first public recant from hearsay, gossip and misreporting in this sorry business of “The Findings”.

Tim Conway Defends:
After his recant, Conway is adamant that there are outraged persons who have departed Sathya Sai Baba. Conway goes on to describe those ex-devotees and assorted supporters of The Findings:

“These charges are simply the cry of anguished devotees attempting to protect young men and boys from behavior that can have a deeply traumatic effect upon their sensitive psyches.”

The accusations we hear are certainly not “the cry of anguished devotees attempting to protect young men”. The loathsome noise we hear is the commotion of the tittle-tattle, the “isn’t-it-awful gossips”, the rumor mongers and the hysterical naysayers who peddle the apocryphal story of Sai and a seven year old boy, for example; a story that has NEVER BEEN VERIFIED by its alleged source. A most fetid and controversial claim that is still peddled as fact. This and most of the other material circulating is NOT the “cry of the anguished devotees”.

These comprise the malignant, repetitive chants of the rumour mill (whom Conway will later label as the “Nasty Naysayers”) designed to shock, horrify and alienate existing devotees. Let Conway investigate the length and breadth of the activities of some of his companions against DEVOTEES; not against Sai Baba, but against devotees. It is part of a well prepared mail-bombing campaign against devotees. “Anguished cry…” … who has Conway been listening to – both sides? It would appear not. Where is the Conway critique of this campaign against devotees? Has all the response tactics and strategy been truthfully revealed to Conway? Is it really the cry of the anguished devotee or an appeal to a vague non-entity as Conway has been steered away from certain facts?

Timothy Conway presents the Law in the United States of America:

“please remember that, in our law-based society (and Baba has always advocated that citizens abide by their nation’s laws), the sexual harassment and molestation of minors (and, yes, adults) is a prosecutable, criminal offense.” Conway goes on to speak of “the MANDATED REPORTING RULE, which imposes a LEGAL DUTY on any adult with knowledge that sexual molestation of minors is likely occurring TO REPORT SUCH BEHAVIOR and TRY TO PREVENT SUCH BEHAVIOR FROM RE-OCCURRING”

Invitation to Prosecute:
Mr Conway, along with all anguished devotees attempting to protect young men, are all hereby invited to the Court of the Judicial Magistrate, 1st Class, Penukonda, Anantapur District, Andhra Pradesh, India, to lay charges against Sathya Sai Baba. This appears to be the appropriate court of Law. Laying of Charges in other countries is not likely to have any effect. The matter more rightly belongs in the Penukonda Magistrates Court.

Mighty Matters of Faith and Belief:
Conway articulates his doubts of faith and belief:

“At this point in time, I cannot agree that Baba is the ‘Purna Avatar, pure and simple.’ Anyone who tries to rationalize Baba’s behavior by appealing to his Divinity and the corollary that ‘God [Baba] can do whatever he wants’ has not sufficiently proven that Baba is, in fact, the pure expression of Divinity incarnate on this planet. It may be that the formless God or Absolute Spirit (the Infinite Atman/Brahman) is communicating something through the name/form of Sathya Sai and thus has intended that tens of millions of people connect with his mission, at least temporarily until they move beyond the form of Sathya Sai (and has not Baba himself often called for people not to get attached to his form?)”

For a person who freely admits he has been “out of the loop” and not active as a devotee of Sai Baba since he has commenced to actively follow another satguru, Mr Conway presents an unsettled frame of mind. Is he still loyal to Sai Baba? Either he says the formless absolute is engaging in revelation and a mission via the name and form of Sai, or he is not making such an admission. He appears to be presenting both sides of the coin and not settling conclusively for one opinion or the other. Conway presents uncertanty and is not clear himself where he stands.

Certainly he is good at throwing in red herrings:

“But let me remind you–I’m sure you’re aware–that great Mahatmas of the last 150 years like Ramakrishna, Ramana Maharshi, Anandamayi Ma, Mata Amritanandamayi, Anasuya Devi, Devaraha Baba, Shyama Mataji, Bhagavan Nityananda have NEVER needed to sexually molest their followers to ‘test’ them.”

Conway meanders on with his red herring of the other gurus:

“Rather, to take just one example, consider the case of the beautiful Ramana Maharshi. Dozens of reliable accounts indicate that Ramana could awaken people to the completely bodiless, ego-free, infinite, transcendental state of pure Spirit (Atman/Brahman), absolute Being-Awareness-Bliss-Love, SIMPLY BY GAZING AT THEM SILENTLY with his amazingly loving, liberating, Grace-filled look.”

Far from being a devotee who has thrown away his darshan cushion, Conway hangs onto doubt and expresses it often:

“It has to be demonstrated that Sathya Sai’s sexual predatory behavior — apparently involving hundreds, maybe even more than a thousand young men and boys — is ‘restoring Dharma’.”

A little further on, Conway writes:

“(Some nasty naysayers want to say that Baba is actually nothing more than an evil force on the planet, a master of occult powers who masquerades, like the legendary Lucifer, as a being of light and goodness. I don’t accept this analysis of ‘Baba -as-consummate-evil’.”

Conway wants it both ways. He wants the jury to be out, still deciding, and he wants to distance himself from the Some nasty nay-sayers. He has certainly failed to do that, as he has taken up their cause. In email, chat rooms and on the Internet, CAPITALS represent YELLING. Here is Mr Conway again:

“the MANDATED REPORTING RULE, which imposes a LEGAL DUTY on any adult with knowledge that sexual molestation of minors is likely occurring TO REPORT SUCH BEHAVIOR and TRY TO PREVENT SUCH BEHAVIOR FROM RE-OCCURRING…”

So Timothy Conway, is yelling out for all to hear where he stands. Beside the “nasty nay sayers”.

Conway perseveres with admonition:

“The bottom line is that, REGARDLESS of who/what Baba is, we, as mature, responsible aspirants endeavoring to live the values of Satya, Dharma, Shanti, Prema and Ahimsa have A SERIOUS ETHICAL DUTY to rise up and speak out against the longstanding pattern of sexual molestation.”

Hello?

• Are you there Mr Conway?
• Cease acting as a middle man.
• Assist those who report complaints with Sai Baba.
• Provide tickets.
• Get them on a plane.
• Fly with them to Bangalore or Hyderabad.
• Assist with travel to Penukonda, to the Magistrates Court.
• Fulfill your SERIOUS ETHICAL DUTY and lay your charges.
• Assist these traumatised others to lay charges in the proper courts.

Then you will have salvaged your conscience and fulfilled your serious ethical duty. We remind you that Sai Baba is not afraid. After all, he has said, “Why be afraid of the mistake you have not committed?”

Robert Priddy Attended Sathya Sai Baba’s 670th Birthday Celebration!

Robert Priddy (a caustic critic and defamer of Sathya Sai Baba who once hailed the Guru as God Incarnate and thereby the Father who sent Jesus, Allah who sent Muhammad and the Creator of the Universe), claimed he attended Sathya Sai Baba’s 670th birthday celebration!

For interested readers, Sathya Sai Baba is celebrating his 84th Birthday Celebration this year (2009), not his 684th Birthday Celebration (as would be alleged by Robert Priddy).

Llama la atención la diferencia atroz entre ambos títulos de la misma noticia en el mismo diario. Hay una sola diferencia: una es la edición digital y la otra la edición impresa. Cuando uno lee “Moreno les exigió $900 millones a los empresarios para las asignaciones” entiende que quieren que los $180 de la asignación por hijo los cubran los empresarios, sin embargo, en la nota explica que es una propuesta ( no una exigencia) a los comercios para darles un reintegro a los clientes que acceden a la asignación. Si uno se basa sólo en el 1er título resulta extraño lo siguiente de la nota: “los supermercadistas consultados por este diario se mostraron a favor de la medida”. No parecería ser esa la actitud esperada a una exigencia como la titulada.

No vamos a negar que Moreno es patotero, de hecho nadie se gana la fama sin algo de mérito propio, pero abusar de esa fama para desinformar tampoco es correcto. Y acá como siempre ilustraré con algunos comentarios que son el fiel reflejo de lo que el diario intenta infundir a sus lectores.

El motivo de la diferencia entre una edición y la otra puede suponerse que se debe a que un lector de la edición impresa lee con mayor detenimiento que los fugaces lectores de Internet, por lo que quedaría, en ese caso, mayor expuesta la incongruencia.

A partir de ahora vamos a hacer un nuevo ejercicio sobre cada noticia expuesta:

Cómo habría sido el título en un diario razonablemente objetivo:

“Moreno lleva una nueva propuesta a supermercadistas”

Como habría sido el título en un diario oficialista:

“Moreno busca incrementar la ayuda a desocupados y trabajadores en negro”

Juro que tenho que trocar o nome dessa seção, mas passo por uma crise de criatividade toda vez que vou postar sobre essas equipes. Talvez seja até influência de maus fluidos das extintas equipes, porque a cada dia que eu pesquiso sobre elas eu me assusto cada vez mais com as bizarrices. Me ajudem amigos.

Além da falta de um nome oportuno para a seção, hoje eu iria escrever sobre a Andrea Moda, uma das equipes consideradas mais… é, mais…

Falta palavras para definir a Andrea Moda.

Continuando a história, a Andrea Moda só existiu porque o dono dela comprou o espólio de outro desastre da F1: a equipe Coloni. “Intão” vamos respeitar a ordem e falar da Coloni primeiro.

Depois ter conquistado sucesso na F3 e ter tido uma regular participação na F3000 em meados da década de 80, Enzo Coloni resolveu tentar a sorte e teve a incrível idéia de montar uma equipe de F1, em 1987.

O modelo FC 187 amarelo era um projeto bem simples, criado pelo engenheiro Roberto Ori (ex-Dallara) e empurrado pelo motor Cosworth DFZ. Logo na estréia, no GP de Monza, em setembro de 1987, acontece os primeiros indícios e que as coisas não iriam funcionar. O carro não havia feito nem o shake-down e eles queriam competir assim mesmo. Quem teve a dura missão de guiar o carro foi Nicola Larini. Era evidente que o carro não iria conseguir se classificar. Foram dois segundos mais lento que o último do grid e 12 segundos mais lento que o pole.

Já na Espanha eles conseguem se classificar para a corrida, na frente dos carros da Osella. Porém a aventura só dura sete voltas, pois Larini ficou a pé por causa da transmissão. Depois dessa corrida, a equipe decide não mais participar do campeonato de 87, concentrando suas forças para o ano de 1988.

Para o campeonato de 88 eles contrataram o piloto Gabriele Tarquini e permaneceram com os motores Ford. O ano até que começou bem, com Tarquini passando sempre pela qualificação.  No GP do Canadá  foi o ponto alto da equipe. Eles conseguiram a proeza de lagar em quinto e chegaram em oitavo no final da corrida. Foi o melhor resultado alcançado pela equipe em toda a sua curta história.

Coloni em 1988: o ano até que começa bem

Mas com o andar da carruagem a equipe começou a apresentar problemas devido a falta de dinheiro e até mesmo de empregados. Estava cada vez mais difícil passar da pré-qualificação e o carro sofria com os problemas mecânicos durante as corridas. Só para vocês terem uma idéia de como era ruim a equipe, depois do GP do Canadá, Tarquini não conseguiu classificar o carro em 4 corridas seguidas. Conseguiram largar em 8 corridas, terminaram quatro, não terminaram as outras quatro e não conseguiram largar em 8. E esse foi o melhor ano!

Porém, as esperanças estavam renovadas para o ano de 1989. Tudo porque ele conseguiu conseguiu alguns patrocinadores e  contratou um trio de engenheiros:  o designer Christian Vanderpleyn, R & D especialista Michel Costa, gerente de equipe e Frederic Dhainaut. Além disso, a equipe teria dois carros a partir de agora. E os pilotos eram: o piloto francês Pierre-Henri Raphanel e um brasileiro que gostava de sofrer, Roberto Moreno.

Por causa do 8º lugar obtido no Canadá no ano anterior, um dos carros da Coloni não iria mais precisar passar pela pré-qualificação na primeira metada do campeonato. Esse carro ficava a cargo de Moreno, enquanto Raphanel iria penar nas pré-qualificações.

No início de 89 o carro ainda era o de 87 com algumas atualizações

Mas se você pensa que os problemas estavam acabados, esta totalmente enganado. Eles não conseguiram prepara o novo carro para o início da temporada. Com isso, deram uma guaribada no carro do ano anterior, que já era uma guaribada do ano de 1987 e se mandaram para as primeiras provas do ano. O carro simplesmente era 20km/h mais lento do que qualquer carro do grid. Por causa disso, Moreno não conseguiu classificar o carro nas duas primeiras corridas do ano e Raphanel nem passou pelas pré-qualificações. Um desastre.

Chegaram em Mônaco e aí aconteceu o milagre. Moreno consegue o 25º tempo e classifica o carro para o grid. E a cagada foi ainda maior porque Raphanel conseguiu classificar seu carro para o 18º lugar. Uma borrada completa que nunca mais foi visto os dois carros juntos no grid de largada. Mas como felicidade de pobre dura pouco, ambos abandonam a corrida por problemas no câmbio. E nas duas corridas seguintes nada de Coloni no grid.

Lançamento do novo carro em 89: aquele sorriso do Moreno iria sumir até o final da temporada

Na corrida do Canadá, a Coloni apresentou um carro totalmente novo e uma pintura nova, cinza, branca e azul. Com um carro menos horroroso, Moreno se classificou para o grid e vinha fazendo uma ótima corrida, até perder uma roda e ter problemas no motor. Raphanel nem passou da pré-qualificação. Devido aos maus resultados, a Coloni caiu para a pré-classificação a partir da corrida da Alemanha.

Em Portugal, a Coloni contratou Gary Anderson como freelancer. Anderson desenvolveu um bico novo, que parecia muito eficiente, e que realmente melhorou muito o carro. Moreno passou da pré e largou em um excelente 15º lugar no grid. Só que uma batida no warm-up com Eddie Cheever arrebentou o carro e Moreno teve de largar com o reserva, que deveria ser um remendo de outros carros da equipe. Sua corrida acabou na 11ª volta.

E o pior estava por vir pois eles não tinham outra asa dianteira pronta para o GP seguinte, na Espanha. E quando o bico ficou pronto, o carro simplesmente não tinha velocidade em reta. Eles não coseguiram mais passar da pré-qualificação com o carro. Para quem tinha tanta esperança no início, o final de temporada foi melancólico para a Coloni, que praticamente não existia mais , pois terminou o campeonato com apenas seus dois pilotos, seis mêcanicos e o seu gerente de equipe.

Moreno Critic Kevin R.D. Shepherd Admits He Is NOT An Academic!

Kevin Shepherd’s statement should set to rest Ex-Devotee’s misrepresentation of him as being an academic or scholar. He is neither. Rather, Kevin R.D. Shepherd is a sectarian bigot who obsessively, unremittingly and fanatically attacks and stalks everything and everyone affiliated with the Findhorn Foundation. Kevin R.D. Shepherd even goes to the extent of vanity self-publishing because respectable and notable publishers do not wish to be affiliated with his non-academic “sectarian polemic” publications and viewpoints.

Needless to say, Gerald Joe Moreno does not believe that Kevin R.D. Shepherd is an academic or scholar, which Moreno made abundantly clear on his webpages about Shepherd. Apparently, Ex-Devotees of Sathya Sai Baba need to take note as they constantly refer to Kevin R.D. Shepherd as a “scholar” whose writings are comparable to those of bona-fide academics.

Although Kevin R.D. Shepherd described himself as having “no academic role”, he praised his own writings as following “academic rules in citing sources to a greater extent than many academic philosophers” (a self-laudatory comment unsupported by other academic philosophers)!

Amusingly, Kevin R.D. Shepherd often points out other’s lack of academic credentials as something compromising their credibility, as he did with Craig Gibsone (a vocal member of the Findhorn Foundation) and others. If a lack of academic credentials is a negative, then Kevin R.D. Shepherd just shot himself in the foot! The only thing that trumps Kevin R.D. Shepherd’s non-academic role is his big ego.

Kevin R.D. Shepherd And The Wikipedia ArbCom Bans

In another Wikipedia related issue, Kevin R.D. Shepherd correctly stated that Gerald Joe Moreno (aka “SSS108”) and Andries Krugers Dagneaux were banned from editing Sathya Sai Baba-related Wikipedia articles (as were “freelanceresearcher” and “wikisunn”: Ref). Of course, Kevin Shepherd praised the arbitration committee when it came to Moreno’s ban but was “disconcerted” with (and made excuses for) the same arbitration committee that banned Andries. It is also important to point out that that Andries was formerly banned on the Robert Priddy Wikipedia Article (Ref) due to violating the ArbCom ruling and two warnings from Wikipedia Administrators (Refs: 01 – 02). Moreno was never banned from editing the Robert Priddy Wikipedia Article. Enough said.

In his typically inaccurate ways, Kevin Shepherd had the audacity to say that Andries “had originally established the Sathya Sai Baba entry in Wikipedia on the basis of both pro- and contra- views being represented”. This is an absurd and total untruth. Andries included voluminous amounts of non-reputable and non-reliable sources in violation of NPOV, WP:BLP, WP:V and WP:RS and it was all removed in accordance with the First Mediation With BostonMA. For once, get your facts right, Mr. Kevin Shepherd.

Andries is a known POV pusher (Refs: 01 – 02 – 03 – 04) and other Wikipedia editors have accused him of the same bias and POV pushing that Moreno has. Andries was uncooperative and his failure to accept a second mediation attempt (Ref) pushed the issue into an ArbCom case (which he tried to escape). As a matter of fact, the First ArbCom Case fully acknowledged the problems with the Sathya Sai Baba Wikipedia Article and ruled (due to Moreno’s thorough documentation about Andries Anti-Sai agenda):

“Negative information in an article or on a talk page regarding Sathya Sai Baba or organizations affiliated with him which is poorly sourced may be removed without discussion. The three revert rule shall not apply to such removal. This includes links to critical websites which contain original research or which consist of personal accounts of negative experiences with Sathya Sai Baba or organizations affiliated with him. It is inappropriate for a user to insert a link to a website maintained by the user (or in which the user plays an important role).”

Needless to say, this was a huge blow to Andries and Anti-Sai Activists (and they whined and hissed about it on their own Anti-Sai Websites). Don’t expect Kevin Shepherd to mention any any of these pertinent facts, which he lamentably failed to obtain despite his alleged in-depth research into this topic.

The start of the week in Venice and the rain was strong. Wall dismantaling was off so I popped in to see what was happening in one of the studio’ s. Moreno (a master) was working on some new pieces… a coral montage, a vase and a plate. Mattia Salvadore was assisting and in this photo you can see him giving a bench blow whilst Moreno torches the piece.

The Kevin R.D. Shepherd Citation On Wikipedia

In Kevin Shepherd’s article against Gerald Joe Moreno, he repeatedly whined and sniveled about Moreno’s objection on Wikipedia to the inclusion of a quote from his self-published book, “Investigating the Sai Baba Movement: A Clarification of Misrepresented Saints and Opportunism”.

Andries Krugers Dagneaux (an ex-devotee and Anti-Sai Activist) was the only person arguing for the inclusion of the Shepherd citation in the Sathya Sai Baba Wikipedia Article. Jossie, Alecmconroy (a non-involved party who answered Andries Request For Comment) and Moreno (SSS108) all disagreed with Andries.

Wikipedia generally does not allow self-published material to be used as sources in Biographies of Living People (Refs: Self Published Sources – Verifiable Sources – BLP – Reliable Sources). Even more so when the self-published work in question makes derogatory and highly questionable hearsay allegations that have never been referenced in reliable or reputable sources (Ref: Reliable Sources). Kevin Shepherd’s book and citation fell into this category of self-published material.

After Moreno revealed the truth about Kevin Shepherd’s self-published book, Andries Krugers Dagneaux reconsidered his opinion (because he was under the impression that Shepherd’s book was not self-published) and he promptly dropped his complaint and consensus was obtained (Reference).

Although Kevin Shepherd would like to make it appear that Moreno was alone in his grievance, he was not. As a matter of fact, after Andries Krugers Dagneaux realized that Kevin Shepherd’s book was self-published and the citation did not comply with Wikipedia policy, he no longer sought its inclusion. These are the facts of the matter. Don’t expect Kevin Shepherd to accurately relate these facts without his typical spin, paranoia and “cult” accusations.

A fitting end for Andrus and the Argos

In an all-around ugly season, the Argos saved perhaps their worst performance for last. Despite resting several starters with the playoffs looming, the Montreal Alouettes took command early and romped to a 42-17 win in Saturday’s season finale at Rogers Centre.

The Alouettes, with backup quarterback Anthony McPherson starting in place of the league’s top passer, Anthony Calvillo, scored on their first three possessions and took a 26-4 lead to halftime. McPherson was near flawless all afternoon, completing 16-of-20 passes for 151 yards and two touchdowns before giving way to third-stringer Chris Leak to start the fourth quarter. McPherson also ran for 55 yards.

For the Argos, it was only a fitting end to a season of frustration. Even so, head coach Bart Andrus had positive things to say about his squad after the game.

“I told them how much they persevered throughout this year,” Andrus said of his post-game speech. “The way they came to work, their professionalism — this is a good group of people.

“When you have a group that works as has as they work, it’s just a matter of time before positive things begin to happen.”

Of course, time will tell if Andrus is around to witness a possible turnaround. He declined to comment after the game regarding his future and the future of the franchise as a whole. After a 3-15 campaign and with talk of the team potentially being sold, Andrus is as good a bet as anyone not to be back in 2010.

With little more to play for than pride, Andrus handed the starting quarterback duties for the finale to rookie Stephen Reaves. The southpaw struggled from the get-go in his first CFL start, overthrowing Brad Smith on Toronto’s opening possession for an interception that led to a Damon Duval field goal. In all, Reaves threw four picks and had another negated by a roughing-the-passer penalty.

“It was tough,” Reaves said afterward. “I pressed too much. I have to do a better job of taking what the defense gives me. I’d love to have a few of those back. Overall, a tough day against a tough defense.”

Reaves wasn’t the only Argo to slip up on an error-filled day. Andre Durie returned a first quarter kick 104 yards for an apparent touchdown, only to have it called back because of an unnecessary roughness call on Raymond Fontaine. Earlier in the quarter, long snapper Etienne Legare airmailed a snap to Justin Medlock, resulting in a turnover and an 18-yard McPherson touchdown pass to Kerry Walkins one play later.

Running back Jamal Robertson scored Toronto’s only touchdown on a one-yard run late in the third quarter but struggled horribly the rest of the afternoon, finishing with negative six yards on five carries. The Argos finished with zero rushing yards as a team.

If it’s true that what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger, then the Argos will have something to take from this nightmarish season. Durie, for one, suggested the team gained mental toughness that will provide an important boost in the future.

“We’re looking forward to more stability next year,” he said after the game. “Every championship team goes through losing, and we had a lot of it this year. We all stayed mentally strong though, and we’ll take that into next season for sure.”

Perhaps the biggest thing that will come from Saturday’s loss is closure. And with that, a fresh start.

“I’ll go to bat with these guys anytime,” linebacker Zeke Moreno said after the game. “I’d love to come back next year and see no new faces. We have the talent and the potential.”

Dubious Claims About Sai Devotee V.K. Narasimhan

Kevin Shepherd (registrant for the citizeninitiative.com website) displayed remedial researching abilities when he claimed that Joe Moreno gave “inadequate information” about the Sai Devotee V.K. Narasimhan on his blog.

Needless to say, Moreno wrote a detailed article about V.K. Narasimhan on his official website. Apparently Mr. K. Shepherd did not care to research Moreno’s official website and failed to locate the search function clearly visible on the main-index and side-menu pages. View The Results For “V.K. Although it is true that V.K. Narasimhan was a friend to Robert Priddy during Priddy’s devotee years, there is little doubt that VKN would have severed his friendship with Robert Priddy when Priddy became an ex-devotee. It certainly appears that Robert Priddy fabricated or embellished information about VK Narasimhan to further his venomous campaigns against Sai Baba. This is not far-fetched considering Robert Priddy’s fully documented lies about Moreno and others. The Vishvarupa.com Webpage Profiling Robert Priddy provides concise information about him that proves he is not credible and that he blatantly lies about others unapologetically. Robert Priddy even had the audacity to openly libel Gerald Joe Moreno with fraudulent sexual molestation claims (Ref). Kevin Shepherd ignores these fully documented articles and instead links to Anti-Sai websites while ignoring any information that counters his Anti-Sai rhetoric.

Click Here to view an article that VK Narasimhan wrote in praise of Sathya Sai Baba in Sanathana Sarathi, Special Issue – November 1999 (about 3 months before his death) proving that VKN was devoted to Sathya Sai Baba to his death. The first paragraph reads:

“There are certain periods in the history of mankind when the mortal beings of this earth witness epoch-making divine events with their own eyes. By far the most astounding event of this century is the Advent of Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba.”

VKN also referred to Sathya Sai Baba throughout his article as “Bhagavan” (i.e., “God”), an “Avatar” (i.e., “Incarnation of God”) and being “divine” or possessing “divinity”. These published comments are objective and verifiable and wholly refute Robert Priddy’s highly questionable claims about V.K. Narasimhan. Robert Priddy’s attributions to V.K. Narasimhan are subjective and non-verifiable hearsay. Although Kevin Shepherd attempts to portray himself as a serious researcher in the Sai Controversy, he readily discarded objective facts with unverifiable hearsay and then had the audacity to claim that Robert Priddy’s hearsay trumped VK Narasimhan’s own words! Moreno would rather rely on V.K. Narasimhan’s verifiable words than on Robert Priddy’s unverifiable hearsay.

Kevin Shepherd also stated without proof that V.K. Narasimhan (a Sai Devotee he never knew, met or saw) was “known to have entertained extensive doubts, his habitual cynicism tempered by his dependence upon ashram amenities”. Moreno personally observed V.K. Narasimhan interact with Sathya Sai Baba (as have many thousands of other people) and VKN always exhibited great reverence and devotion to Sathya Sai Baba. V.K. Narasimhan’s reputation was such that (had he chosen) he could have easily lived in any of India’s numerous ashrams. He chose to stay with Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba for 30 years to his death. V.K. Narasimhan also had the opportunity to live with his son in Madras, but he chose to live at Puttaparthi instead. These are facts, whereas Shepherd and Priddy’s hearsay and speculations are not. Kevin Shepherd’s position about V.K. Narasimhan (a Sai Devotee he never knew, met or saw) undermines his self-professed integrity and highlights his bias and unsupported viewpoints.

Even in VK Narasimhan’s Private Correspondence With Robert Priddy, VKN never said one word opposing Sathya Sai Baba. To the contrary, VKN praised and eulogized Sathya Sai Baba as “Bhagavan” (i.e., “God”) and typically ended his letters with “Yours in Sai Seva”.

To Date: Robert Priddy has yet to produce a single hand-written or signed letter from VKN that expressed the slightest criticism of Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba. This is in irrefutable fact that strongly argues that Robert Priddy’s attributions to VKN are fraudulent and dishonest.

Futhermore, it is amusing that despite Robert Priddy and Kevin Shepherd’s constant bashing of Sai Devotees as liars, belonging to a cult, being brainwashed, etc., they constantly praise and cite VKN (an ardent Sai Devotee to his death) as a credible, intelligent and honest man on their behalf.

Hypocrisy, pure and simple.

Conny Folke Eugen Larsson, Anna Rykowska-Grzywna, Zimnicki Twins And Alleged Bribery Claims Against Sathya Sai Baba

In 2005, Gerald Joe Moreno received the following emails from Sebastian Zimnicki from Poland who used the anonymous name “Ramana”. In response to these two emails, Conny Larsson published a series of emails (which are still located at: saibabaexpose.com/morono.htm) in which the Zimincki Twins blatantly lied about Moreno and claimed intimate friendship and alliance with Conny Larsson.

Fast forward to 2009 and Anna Rykowska-Grzywna (a disciple of Psychic Medium Conny Larsson) wrote an article in which she claimed:

• The Zimnicki Twins are liars.
• The Zimnicki Twins came from a “pathological family”.
• The Zimnicki Twins would do anything for money.
• The Zimnicki Twins cheated Conny Larsson out of money.
• The Zimnicki Twins slandered Conny Larsson when he stopped giving them money

Anna Rykowska-Grzywna: “In the last leaflet which was forwarded to me by a gentleman from Szczecin I read about twins brothers – Tomasz and Sebastian Zimnicki, who live in GoleniÓw near Szczecin. The afore said gentlemen were allegedly paid by Conny Larsson to claim that they were sexually harassed by Sai Baba. I happen to know the two gentlemen well and I know that they can make up any story for whoever pays them. The author of the leaflet described in his own imaginary way in detail the whole life of Conny Larsson. He did not give his name but he did give my address as the headquarters of Conny Larsson’s sect in Poland. The author says in the leaflet that the twins came back contrite to Sai Baba in 2003 and begged him for forgiveness they allegedly received. Well, I wish to advise the anonymous author that in 2005 the twins came to Kamieñ Pomorski, where together with Conny Larsson we taught at a teacher training course for the whole of July, and also asked him for forgiveness. They even offered their help in publishing his book in Poland and they set up his internet site, which they then destroyed claiming that it was done by the Sai organisation. In 2006 they also came to Poznañ for Conny Larsson’s meditation courses. The twin brothers come from a pathological family and Conny Larsson took care of them when they were starving. They got so used to cheating him out of his money that they started slandering him when he stopped giving it to them.” (Reference)

Since Anna Rykowska-Grzywna claimed the Zimnicki Twins would do anything for money, did Conny Larsson pay the Zimnicki Twins to lie about Moreno?

Anna Rykowska-Grzywna would not have published her criticism of the Zimnicki Twins had she not obtained the cooperation and consent of Conny Larsson (who even supplied her with a scanned copy of his criminal report and an official translation of his criminal report into Polish by a court reporter).

Conny Larsson told Anna Rykowska-Grzywna that the Zimnicki Twins cheated him out of money and slandered him after he stopped giving them money (dubious claims considering that Conny Larrson never took any sort of legal action against the Zimnicki Twins). Therefore, it is a self-admitted and irrefutable fact that Conny Larsson had a monetary relationship with the Zimnicki Twins. It is not far-fetched that Conny Larsson may have offered the Zimnicki Twins money to make false sexual abuse allegations against Sathya Sai Baba.

The fact remains that Sebastian Zimnicki relayed the bribery allegation to Moreno freely and anonymously and didn’t realize that Moreno could trace his anonymous email to him. Therefore, the sexual abuse bribery claim made against Conny Larsson by Sebastian Zimnicki appears to be rooted in fact because Conny Larsson is now attempting to do damage control by attacking the Zimnicki Twins through his disciple Anna Rykowska-Grzywna. Shocking!

The former “friendly” email correspondence that Conny Larsson published from the Zimnicki Twins on his official saibabaexpose.com domain is therefore fraudulent. The truth has finally come out!

Anna Rykowska-Grzywna & The Paedophilia Allegations Against Conny Larsson

According to Anna Rykowska-Grzywna, Conny Larson (who is openly and proudly bi-sexual) is widely being attacked as a “paedophile”. As Ex-Devotees are so fond of saying, “there’s no smoke without fire”. It does not matter that Conny Larsson defended himself against the paedophilia allegations by releasing a police background check showing he has no convictions. Sathya Sai Baba has no convictions either. If Conny Larsson alleges that Sathya Sai Baba is a “paedophile” (although the Guru has no convictions), then it is most certainly possible that Conny Larsson is also a “paedophile” (although Larsson has no convictions)! Conny Larsson’s illogic and shabby arguments come back to bite him.

Conny Folke Eugen Larsson & Anna Rykowska-Grzywna – In Conclusion

In conclusion, it can be presumed that Conny Larsson is just as guilty as Sathya Sai Baba despite the absence of any official, legal documentation to support the accusations made against either of them. Conny Larsson set the standard of “presumed guilty without legal documentation” against Sathya Sai Baba and now Conny Larsson has to suffer the perception of alleged impropriety on the same grounds!

The facts that Conny Larsson admitted to psychic fraud, attempted to cover up and suppress the fact that he is a self-professed prophet and trance channel for Vyasa (with the help of his devotee Judith Bourque), published fraudulent screencaps against Moreno, maliciously accused Moreno of using anonymous IPs by resorting to IP header fraud and admitted to being diagnosed by a psychiatrist with Histrionic Personality Disorder raises valid suspicions that Conny Larsson is dishonest, hateful, manipulative and has something to hide.

1. Conny Larsson remains strongly suspected of attempting to bribe the Ziminicki Twins with money to slander Sathya Sai Baba with false sexual abuse allegations.
2. Using the very same arguments and standards that Ex-Devotees (including Conny Larsson) employ to accuse Sathya Sai Baba of pedophilia, Conny Larsson could similarly be strongly suspected of alleged pedophilia (as there are several internet rumors making that exact claim).

Conny Larsson is openly and proudly bi-sexual (even releasing this information through Swedish newspapers and on Anti-Baba websites) and conceded that he did in fact have sex with men! Sathya Sai Baba has never (ever) made such an admission. Conny Larsson has therefore solidly situated himself between rocks and a hard place.

Kevin Shepherd And Guru & UFO Promoter PhD Timothy Conway

Although Kevin Shepherd is a staunch Anti-New Age advocate and Anti-Guru advocate, he devoted a lengthy section (on his page discussing the Sai Controversy) to Dr. Timothy Conway, citing him as a credible and intelligent reference against Sathya Sai Baba. Some relevant quotes:

Kevin R.D. Shepherd: “However, the counter of Dr. Timothy Conway is more convincing to non-sectarian analysts…Even the American ex-devotee Dr. Timothy Conway has been on the edged receiving end of sectarian disapproval…A relevant report comes from Dr. Timothy Conway (an American ex-devotee, not a medic but a scholar of Indian religion). He has contributed a recent lengthy webpage that substantially contradicts the sectarian evasion of alleged sexual abuse by the guru…The total list of these three categories involves ‘nearly 50 named and unnamed individuals. Dr. Conway adds that sectarian denials are contradicted by the (obvious) fact that ‘there are simply far too many allegations corroborating each other on similar crucial details.’…Dr. Conway informs that ‘numerous students have allegedly expressed fear to researchers about saying anything of Sathya Sai Baba’s sexual improprieties with them for reasons of shame and family situation (e.g., their parents and grandparents are devotees).’…Dr. Timothy Conway exited from the sect in 2001. He was subsequently asked to submit questions for Dr. Michael Goldstein as part of the BBC research preparations for their 2004 documentary The Secret Swami…”

Although strong counter-arguments have been made against Dr Timothy Conway, Kevin Shepherd blindly referenced Conway although Conway is a true believer and promoter of Gurus [3], Mystics [3], Enlightened Masters [3], psychics [1] [2] [4], levitation [5], bi-location [5], miracles [5], remote-viewing [4], elementals, meditation [2] [6], paranormal powers [5], aliens [4] [10], rebirth [1] [7], reincarnation [1] [7], karma [8], oracles [2], I-Ching [2], sensitives [1] [2], channelers [1] [2], astrology [2], astrologists [2], palm-reading [2], non-duality [9], etc. (the list goes on and on).

For example, if you are looking for an answer to a difficult problem, PhD Timothy Conway suggested the following solutions:

Dr. Timothy Conway: “Ask God (Spirit, the one God-Self) for guidance and for some kind of ‘omen’ or ‘sign,’ if needed, to proceed in a certain direction (i.e., making choice A, B, C or whatever). Be willing to wait several days or weeks (or, in some cases, months or even years for this guidance to manifest)…Use an oracle, such as the I Ching (Book of Changes). More simply, you can ask for Divine Guidance and then flip a coin–with heads meaning one choice, tails meaning the other choice. If you like, flip it 10 times and see if a clear pattern emerges. You might say, ‘Well, how the coin flips is simply due to chance.’ Perhaps. But one can also trust that there is a deeper Principle behind everything that happens, and you can ask this Divine Guiding Intelligence to show you an answer via the coin-tossing process. Alternatively, you can create a slightly more sophisticated oracle of your own by getting out 3 or 4 pieces of paper. Then write ‘yes’ on one, ‘no’ on another, ‘wait’ on a third piece of paper, and, if you like, ‘wrong question’ on the fourth piece of paper. Then turn them face down, scramble them up, and pick one of the 3 or 4 pieces of paper to get guidance this way…You can also consult a psychic ‘sensitive’ and/or an astrologer or a palmist (Indian jyotish astrology followed by Western astrology seem to be the most accurate astrology systems. And, curiously, palmistry and astrology seem to complement each other as different methods for getting to the same ‘karmic’ information on the soul’s mission, destiny, strengths and vulnerabilities).” (Reference)

Timothy Conway is also set to release two books praising over 40 Gurus, “Wonder-Workers”, Sages, Saints and Tantriks in 2009. What is so amusing about this is that Kevin Shepherd often attacks New Age believers and Guru promoters as being brainwashed and mentally sick. However, when it comes to Sathya Sai Baba, Kevin Shepherd discards his “scholarly”, “academic” and scientific posturing and cites New Age believers and Guru promoters as reliable and reputable references against him. Since Kevin Shepherd heavily cited Timothy Conway on his domains, he apparently researched Timothy Conway’s beliefs and approved of them.

Timothy Conway cannot take a consistent position for or against Sathya Sai Baba. For example, Timothy Conway had the following to say about Sathya Sai Baba and his alleged paranormal powers:

• Timothy Conway: “ I remain convinced that there are paranormal miracles (wondrous anomalies), and ‘deep, mysterious energies,’ perhaps involving multi-dimensional physics and paranormal or supra-normal power, that are occurring around and through the personality of Sathya Sai Baba.”
• Timothy Conway: “Sathya Sai could be an amazingly accomplished but fallen yogi (yogabhrashta)…”
• Timothy Conway: “We should also be aware that these energies and powers could be coming from Sai Baba of Shirdi and/or the Divine Absolute…”
• Timothy Conway: “Perhaps he is just a highly adept but fallen yogi or an inter-dimensionally powerful but contaminated ‘channel’ for the former Sai Baba of Shirdi (d.1918).”
• Timothy Conway: “the powers of someone who has some ‘elemental spirits’ or other entities helping him from interdimensional planes? (–no joke: it’s a very old, worldwide knowledge that one can derive certain powers by contacting such entities).” Ref: Conway Email No. 8.
• Timothy Conway: “Now, a purna avatar would, it seems, incarnate the totality of God, including the polarity play of light-dark, purity-mischief, unattachment-lust, and so on. This is a disturbing concept, but perhaps quite applicable to Baba’s controversial activity. Moreover, the sexual activity, which we now know to apparently involve considerable lust, might be Baba’s way of transmuting the very heavy sexual energy among humanity at this time on the planet.”
• Timothy Conway: “I have sometimes thought that Sai is lustfully ‘taking on’ (on a psychic level) the lust of humanity to clear our sexual karma.”
• Timothy Conway: “I grant that much or most of Baba’s spectacular mission has been about teaching and demonstrating Love.”
• Timothy Conway: “I do believe that there has been an astonishing amount of genuine goodness, compassion and spiritual upliftment in and around Baba.”

Does Kevin R. D. Shepherd agree with these statements by Timothy Conway as well, or are his agreements selective and self-serving?

Timothy Conway also believed and endorsed (Ref) the alleged experiences of Shirlи Klein-Carsh, a so-called “Indigo” (an alleged extraterrestrial alien that voluntarily incarnates in human form on Earth). Shirlи Klein-Carsh claimed she was psychologically, spiritually and artistically guided by a cleverly disguised alien from Sirius (the star in the constellation of Canis Major) who worked as an electronics repairman in a second-hand shop. Timothy Conway said:

PhD Timothy Conway: “This is a fascinating study of someone with sensitivities hardly dreamed of by most persons. Other books present the carefully presented and reasoned case for the existence of inter-dimensional aliens interacting with humans. This book goes straight into the mystery and wonder of the human-alien contact.” – Timothy Conway, PhD., author of ‘Women of Power and Grace’

Furthering his alien and UFO beliefs, Timothy Conway attempted to argue that if Sai Baba possesses paranormal powers, he could easily “warp spacetime” by creating an “insular interdimensional environment” where he could engage in abuse without easy detection. Attempting to bolster this asinine argument, Timothy Conway argued that people who are abducted by aliens and who experience the “missing time” phenomenon, have been lifted, transported and relocated to other areas without their spouses being aware of anything amiss. That’s right, Timothy Conway believes that it is possible that Sai Baba molested alleged victims on another dimension, which is why it is so difficult for them to prove their allegations and why there is an abysmal lack of witnesses supporting their claims (Ref: Conway Email No. 10).

Mansell x Senna em 91, GP da Catalunha (Espanha)

Era a estréia do circuito catalão, em 1991, e a exibição foi de gala. O GP da Espanha daquele ano era a antepenúltima prova do campeonato. Nigel Mansell e Ayrton Senna brigavam pelo título. E a disputa saiu faiscas, como retrata a foto acima.

Na abertura da quinta volta, uma cena que se tornou antológica. Mansell entra na reta embutido na McLaren de Senna e tira para o lado interno para tentar a ultrapassagem. Os dois descem a reta de quase 1km do circuito lado a lado, praticamente tocando rodas, até que, na freada, o inglês leva vantagem e assume a segunda posição. Depois com o desenrolar da prova, Mansell acabou vencendo. Uma corrida Fantástica.

E no ano de 1991 tivemos a estréia da Jordan na F1. Naquele ano, a Jordan tinha como pilotos o Andrea de Cesaris, Bertrand Gachot e Michael Schumacher.

E aqui temos mais uma história curiosa. Bertrand Gachot foi preso por um envolver-se em um acidente de trânsito com um taxista em Londres e sua equipe ficou com uma vaga, que Schumacher assumiria no Grande Prêmio da Bélgica, da foto acima.

Jordan 191: Zanardi substituiu Moreno,que substituiu Schumacher, que substituiu Gachot. Quem é o piloto acima eu não sei. Aceito ajuda.

Depois dessa corrida, Schumacher foi parar na Benetton no lugar de Moreno e Moreno fez duas corridas pela Jordan. Depois, o brasileiro foi substituido por Alexandro Zanardi.

Que rolo!

Kevin R.D. Shepherd Cited Ramtha Adherent Against Sathya Sai Baba

Kevin Shepherd had the following to say about Ullrich Zimmermann (an alleged sexual abuse victim of Sathya Sai Baba):

“One of the most arresting testimonies has only recently been duly evaluated. Ullrich Zimmermann (a German now living in America) has become noted for three lengthy online video interviews (at the US portal blip.tv.com) in which he describes in detail his relationship with Sathya Sai Baba.”

Kevin Shepherd conveniently forgot to mention that Ullrich Zimmermann is a New Age follower of Ramtha (an alleged 36,000 year-old entity as channeled through the psychic medium JZ Knight). It is indeed peculiar that Kevin Shepherd (a strong Anti-New Age advocate) would be citing the testimony of a New Age follower against Sai Baba, calling his stories “most arresting testimonies”.

Kevin Shepherd also forgot to mention that Ullrich Zimmermann originally recalled his alleged experiences with Sathya Sai Baba while drunk at a Ramtha wine ceremony and after the 36,000 year-old entity commanded him to “teach Sai Baba a lesson”. Ullrich Zimmermann described his experiences with Sathya Sai Baba as “white tantra” and explicitly stated (several times) that he was not sexually abused and his experiences were an “honor” conferred upon him!

Zimmermann also claimed that Sathya Sai Baba instantaneously cured him of a long-term breathing ailment by materializing oil and applying it to his chest along the “kundalini line”. Leave it to Kevin Shepherd to leave out these wholly relevant facts and attempt to whitewash Zimmermann’s accounts by citing only self-serving information taken exclusively from Anti-Sai websites (which one would not expect from a serious researcher or scholar).

And to top it all off, Ullrich Zimmermann actually claimed that Sathya Sai Baba literally and miraculously transformed his genitals (from a penis to a vagina and vice versa) with a snap of his fingers twice! In addition, Zimmermann also claimed he saw a flash of white light fly out the Guru’s penis! These are the ludicrous (and quite frankly unbelievable) stories that Kevin Shepherd endorsed, believed and described as being “most arresting testimonies”. Nice to know that Kevin Shepherd (who attempts to portray himself as rationalistic and “sober”) is citing genital-switch miracles, paranormal phenomena and the testimony of a New Age follower against Sathya Sai Baba.

What does this say about Kevin Shepherd? Kevin Shepherd is obviously a very gullible and naive person who is willing to give credence to New Age beliefs by claiming that New Age followers are intelligent, honest, credible and reliable individuals who are worthy of being referenced by him (an alleged “scholarly” author not given to superstition or superstitious beliefs). Again, I am sure this information is going to be very disillusioning to Kevin Shepherd’s readers and admirers (as few as they are).

‘Scholar’ Kevin R.D. Shepherd References New Age Advocate And Reincarnator Against Moreno

Kevin R.D. Shepherd (a staunch Anti-New Age advocate and critic of Sathya Sai Baba) heavily cited and referenced M. Alan Kazlev as a credible and reliable person against Gerald Joe Moreno.

Alan Kazlev (the alleged “credible” and “reliable” reference that Kevin Shepherd cited against Moreno) is a true-believer, promoter and endorser of: Integral Transformation, Integral Metaphysics, Reincarnation, Spirit Possession, Trolls, UFOs, Aliens, Alternate Realities, Cosmic Redemption, Planetary Buddhas, Avataric Gurus, Psychic Powers, Devas, Earth Spirits, Elementals, the Occult, Kundalini, Astrology, Karma, Auras, Astral Bodies, Astral Planes, Astral Beings, Geomancy, Theta Magic, Natal Charts, Samskaras, various New Age philosophies, etc.

Alan Kazlev claimed that Ramana Maharshi is his “sadguru” and that Sri Aurobindo and Mother Mirra are his “gurus”. Futhermore, Alan Kazlev ranted about his past lives on his website, claiming past life associations with Ancient Rome, Atlantis and Ancient Greece. Alan Kazlev claimed he lived past lives as a Polish Kabbalist, a German Soldier and a 19th Century English gentleman-scholar, philosopher theologian and naturalist raised as a British Israelite. Alan Kazlev stated he reincarnates two to three times a century and was “exiled” to Earth (apparently from another planet) to help in the spiritual transformation of the entire Earth (Reference).

It has since come to light that Alan Kazlev is a grungy guy who loves to drool over images of a “pornographic kind” (using Robert Priddy’s moral standards) and wrote two cyberpunk articles replete with filthy speech and sexually explicit material. See:

Kevin R.D. Shepherd has yet to say one word about Alan Kazlev’s penchant to tell raunchy and pornographic stories about erect penises, wanton sex and obscene references to women as being “cunts”.

It is also disturbing that Kevin Shepherd miserably failed to mention the fact that Moreno fully responded to M. Alan Kazlev on his official websites (Refs: 01 – 02). Kevin Shepherd also miserably failed to mention that M. Alan Kazlev defamed Moreno with bogus psychological profiles (areas of expertise he admitted he has no credentials in) and viciously insinuated that Moreno had a sexual oiling massage from Sathya Sai Baba (a bold-faced and gutter untruth) and that Moreno sees Sathya Sai Baba as a “much loved surrogate father figure” and “possibly a pretend homosexual lover” (more bold-faced and gutter untruths). Moreno has fully responded to Alan Kazlev’s defamations and misrepresentations in his article entitled Joe Moreno Refutes Being Sexually Abused By Sathya Sai Baba.

Strangely enough, Alan Kazlev fully admitted (several times) that he did not have the “time”, “patience” or “inclination” to research the Anti-Sai movement for himself and simply “skimmed” through information Moreno sent him and relied on Anti-Baba critics to better inform him. This is not surprising after reading Alan Kazlev’s Disrespectable Me bio.

Needless to say, Kevin Shepherd would have known all these facts had he cared to contact Moreno or had he cared to research this matter thoroughly. Kevin Shepherd did not care to contact Moreno nor did he research this matter thoroughly, thus confirming his bias, shabby research and non-serious investigation into the Sai Controversy.

Je passe vite fait sur les gagnants espagnols du concours Epson que l’on doit pouvoir retrouver quelque part sur le web: ils sont nombreux (une quinzaine) et seule Beatriz Moreno m’a semblé notable (elle est d’ailleurs représentée par Blanca Berlín Galería) et son site est ici.

Du côté des Descrubrimentos, 70 projets ont été retenus sur plus de 1 100 reçus. L’étalage des travaux (sous forme d’un chemin de fer courant sur le mur tout autour de la salle) faisait une drôle d’impression.

Il y avait des noms relativement connus comme Clémence de Limburg, Sanna Kannisto, Elke Boon et Rachel Papo (que j’aime bien toutes les quatre) et d’autres qui ne me disaient rien mais dont le travail m’a plu également: j’en ai retenu quand même onze mais tous n’ont pas de site web ou alors je n’ai pas trouvé ou bien encore, après avoir vu leur site, finalement, ce n’est pas aussi valable  que ce que j’avais cru sur la foi d’une seule photo. Finalement, il n’en reste que quatre.

Helena Segura-Torrella (son site ici)  est représentée par Alberto Cornejo BAT à Madrid et sa photographie évoque le monde de l’enfance. Virginie Lamarche (son site ici) représentée par la galerie Schneider (spécialisée en photographie et remarquable, à Chicago), montrait une jeune femme étendue, un peu comme dans la série Landscapes With a Corpse de Izima Kaoru.  Matthew-Robert Hughes (son site ici) montre d’étranges figures évanescentes.

Jamie Baldridge (site ici) montre quant à lui des images presque surréalistes et son site vaut aussi la peine d’être vu (illustration ci-dessous tirée de Artnet).
