<content:encoded><![CDATA[<div class='snap_preview'><p>De grondlegger van aikido, Morihei Ueshiba, had een zoon. En die zoon had zelf ook weer een zoon, die het afgelopen weekend in Nederland was. De komst van deze &#8216;leider van de weg&#8217; (of op zijn Japans <em>doshu</em>) had wel iets weg van dat andere grote evenement dit weekend: de intocht van Sinterklaas.</p>
<p>Vol verwachting klopten de harten al maanden in afwachting van de komst van de goedheiligman. Mensen die elkaar de rest van het jaar niet of nauwelijk tegenkomen, kwamen bijeen.Rondom de eerbiedwaardige verzamelden zich steeds trouwe helpers. De rest van de schare werd per microfoon toegesproken met eenvoudige, maar zalvende woorden. Uit het grote boek was al van tevoren opgemaakt welke brave lieden zoet waren geweest, en dus op de knie van de beste man (of in ieder geval in diens nabijheid) plaats mochten nemen. Nou ja, zo heb ik me het hele weekend  lopen verkneukelen om de bovenstaande vergelijking. Dat heeft niets te maken met de <em>doshu</em> of Sinterklaas, maar alles met een aantal vragen dat ik me de laatste tijd weer regelmatig stel: Wat maakt aikido nu zo waardevol? Is dat de beoefening (de weg, de <em>do</em>/<em>tao</em>) op zichzelf? Of is het de filosofie achter de bewegingen? Of iets heel anders? Is er iets aan de aikido-beoefening dat van ieder mens een beter mens maakt? En wat is dan de (informatie)waarde van de graduaties die in de meeste aikidostijlen worden gehanteerd?</p>
<p>Ik heb de training en demonstratie van <em>doshu </em>Moriteru Ueshiba zeer gewaardeerd &#8211; duidelijk, sober, ruim, verbindend, dat zijn enkele woorden die bij me opkomen. Ik heb ontspannen en veilig getraind met steeds een andere partner op een mat van meer dan 2000 vierkante meter. Ik heb mezelf gedurende de training niet op ergernis of frustratie kunnen betrappen, en dat is, bescheiden als ik ben, een prestatie van enig formaat. Maar heeft die prestatie met aikido te maken? Zou ik, als ik me had overgegeven aan de intocht van Sinterklaas en alle blijde kindergezichten, ook niet heel, heel tevreden en blij en voldaan hebben gevoeld?</p>

<p>Vier jaar geleden plaatste ik een aantal artikelen op de website van de Stichting voor Japanse &#38; Okinawaanse Krijgskunsten (SJOK). Voor de geïnteresseerde lezer heb ik ze hier afgestoft. <p><strong>For the youthful and healthy Mr Zhang to be stricken down with such<br />
terminal illness, in his despair, he rang his old classmate who at the<br />
time was Taidong County Government, Huangsun  County Mayor&#8217;s secretary,<br />
Mr Wei.</strong></p>
<p><strong></strong><strong>當時年輕力壯的張先生得到這樣的</strong><strong>絕症</strong><strong>，</strong><strong>在人生絕望之餘</strong><strong>，</strong><strong>多次打電話給當時任職台東縣政府黃順興縣長機要秘書的魏姓同學。</strong><strong></strong></p>
<p><strong>Mr Wei rushed to Taipei during his rest day on a Sunday to see Mr Zhang.</strong></p>
<p><strong></strong><strong>魏姓同學便利用星期日趕到台北和張先生見面</strong><strong>，</strong><strong></strong></p>
<p><strong>Mr Zhang discussed with Mr Wei in detail his despair and pessimism,<br />
and entrusted his friend regarding his affairs after his death.<br />
Coincidentally, Mr Wei was a good friend of Dr Lu Geling, who was in<br />
charge of the Maijie Hospital, 1945-55, and specialised in the<br />
clinical research into cancer cases.</strong></p>
<p><strong></strong><strong>張先生向魏同學詳述相關</strong><strong>絕望的詳情和悲觀感受</strong><strong>，</strong><strong>並請位同學協助其後事</strong><strong>，</strong><strong>恰逢魏同學與前任馬偕醫院院長</strong><strong>1945</strong><strong>－</strong><strong>55</strong><strong>年專精於癌症臨床研究的呂革令博士係知交好友。</strong><strong></strong></p>
<p><strong>He immediately suggested that Mr Zhang go to see Dr Lu for treatment.<br />
At first, Mr Zhang said he preferred not to see anymore doctors, so as<br />
not to add further to his misery.</strong></p>
<p><strong></strong><strong>當即建議前往訪求呂博士醫治</strong><strong>，</strong><strong>起初張先生</strong><strong>說不願再看醫生</strong><strong>，</strong><strong>以免徒增傷悲</strong><strong>；</strong><strong></strong></p>
<p><strong>But Mr Wei told him that he had telephoned Dr Lu before to seek his<br />
advice and arranged an appointment. Mr Zhang felt obligated and went<br />
with Mr Wei to meet Dr Lu.</strong></p>
<p><strong></strong><strong>但魏同學</strong><strong>說先前已以電話請</strong><strong>教過呂博士並安排好時間</strong><strong>，</strong><strong>張先生只好偕同前往呂博士住處造訪。</strong><strong></strong></p>
<p><strong>When Dr Lu met with Mr Zhang, Dr Lu said: &#8216; Mr Wei is a friend and<br />
introduced you and I to get to know each other. This is destiny. Thank<br />
you. Let me ask you do you know why is cancer referred to as terminal<br />
illness?&#8217;</strong></p>
<p><strong></strong><strong>呂博士和張先生見面就</strong><strong>說</strong><strong>：</strong><strong>「魏先生是我的好友</strong><strong>，</strong><strong>介紹你和我認識是我們緣份</strong><strong>，</strong><strong>感謝。我請教你</strong><strong>：</strong><strong>『癌為什麼叫</strong><strong>絕症</strong><strong>，</strong><strong>你可知道嗎</strong><strong>？</strong><strong>』」</strong><strong></strong></p>
<p><strong>Both Mr Zhang and Mr Wei did not know how to answer.</strong></p>
<p><strong></strong><strong>張先生和魏先生都不知道如何作答。</strong><strong></strong></p>
<p><strong>Dr Lu explained: &#8216;There are only two approaches taken by humans to<br />
treat cancer to-date. The first is to destroy the source of the<br />
disease. The second is to increase the capability to fight the<br />
disease.</strong></p>
<p><strong></strong><strong>呂博士又</strong><strong>說</strong><strong>：</strong><strong>「人類醫治癌症到目前</strong><strong>為止只有兩條路</strong><strong>，</strong><strong>第一條路是消滅病源</strong><strong>，</strong><strong>第二條路是增加抵抗力。</strong><strong></strong></p>
<p><strong>But the strange thing is that, whether we use Cobalt 60 or other drugs<br />
to destroy the cancer cells, before the cancer cells are killed, the<br />
good cells are destroyed first.</strong></p>
<p><strong></strong><strong>但很奇怪的是</strong><strong>，</strong><strong>癌無論用鈷</strong><strong>60</strong><strong>或其他藥物去消滅癌細胞</strong><strong>，</strong><strong>可是癌細胞還沒被消滅</strong><strong>，</strong><strong>好的細胞卻先被殺死。</strong><strong></strong></p>
<p><strong>On the other hand, no matter what nutrients or supplements we use,<br />
before the good cells have a chance to absorb them, the cancer cells<br />
have taken them up and it simply speeds up the growth of cancer.</strong></p>
<p><strong></strong><strong>另無論用什麼營養、補藥</strong><strong>，</strong><strong>好的細胞還未吸收</strong><strong>，</strong><strong>癌細胞卻先吸收、讓癌長得更快</strong><strong>；</strong><strong></strong></p>
<p><strong>Therefore both approaches are doomed to failure, that is why cancer is<br />
terminal.&#8217;</strong></p>
<p><strong></strong><strong>因此可</strong><strong>說上述兩條路都行不通、所以叫</strong><strong>絕症。」</strong><strong></strong></p>
<p><strong>Dr Lu continues: &#8216;Human beings are most clever, they have successfully<br />
landed on the moon. But why is it no one ever questioned the above two<br />
approaches for treating cancer which are nothing but self defeating<br />
dead-ends, and try to seek a third avenue?</strong></p>

<p><strong>When I was conducting clinical research in Majie Hospital , I had many<br />
opportunities to work with and being helped by many colleagues in the<br />
Hospital. I discovered that the blood tests of 100% of the cancer<br />
patients showed that the blood samples are acidic.</strong></p>
<p><strong></strong><strong>我以往在馬偕醫院做癌症</strong><strong>临床實驗</strong><strong>，</strong><strong>並得院內各部同仁協助的機會</strong><strong>，</strong><strong>我發現癌症病人血液檢</strong><strong>查的結果百分之百都是酸性反應。</strong><strong></strong></p>
<p><strong>Those Buddhist monks and nuns who are long term vegetarians </strong><strong>(1)</strong><strong> and live<br />
very close to Nature, their blood are prevalently weakly alkaline and<br />
amongst them, there has yet to discover any cancer cases.</strong></p>

<p><strong>Therefore, I boldly concluded that under weakly alkaline condition,<br />
cancer cells are not able to grow, or even to survive.</strong></p>

<p><strong>Mr Zhang, I would suggest that starting from now you reduce your<br />
intake of the acidic meaty dishes </strong><strong>(2).</strong><strong></strong></p>

<p><strong>Take more of the alkaline food. In addition you can take green algae<br />

<p><strong>modify your physical condition, and try seriously to have a regular<br />

<p><strong>Mr Zhang followed Dr Lu&#8217;s suggestion and seriously altered his eating habits.</strong></p>

<p><strong>Every day, he ate green algae, drank chestnut soup, being optimistic and<br />
did an appropriate amount of exercise </strong><strong>(4),</strong><strong> and went back to the same<br />
public hospital for a check up. It was discovered that not only that<br />
the tumour did not increase in size, on the contrary it showed signs<br />
of shrinking, and surprised the hospital staff conducting the check-up<br />
as a miracle. Five years later, the tumour had shrunk to such a state<br />
as to almost disappear.</strong></p>

<p><strong>After almost 40 years, presently Mr Zhang&#8217;s health is totally normal,<br />
and living a very pleasant life.</strong></p>
<p><strong></strong><strong>經過了將近四十年</strong><strong>歲月</strong><strong>，</strong><strong>現在張先生的健康情況完全正常</strong><strong>，</strong><strong>生活起居甚為愉快。</strong><strong></strong></p>
<p><strong>Following Mr Zhang,  Mr Chen Tianshou, who was previously Head of the<br />
General Administration of the Taidong  Provincial Hospital , was<br />
similarly diagnosed with lung cancer.</strong></p>
<p><strong></strong><strong>繼張先生之後</strong><strong>，</strong><strong>有位前台東省立醫院總務課長陳添壽先生</strong><strong>，</strong><strong>同樣得到肺癌</strong><strong>；</strong><strong></strong></p>
<p><strong>When Mr Wei heard of this, he told Mr Chen of the experience of Mr<br />
Zhang, and Mr Chen started to follow the instructions of Dr Lu to<br />
change his physical condition. The outcome was that he was able to<br />
recover fully from the cancer, just like Mr Zhang.</strong></p>
<p><strong></strong><strong>魏先生得知後將張先生的經過轉告陳添壽先生</strong><strong>，</strong><strong>陳先生乃依照呂博士的建議進行改變體質</strong><strong>，</strong><strong>結果與張先生同樣癒癌症。</strong><strong></strong></p>
<p><strong>At that time, Mr Lu and his family have emigrated to the United States<br />
. After the two cases, he returned to Taiwan and met up with Mr Wei.</strong></p>
<p><strong></strong><strong>那時呂博士全家已移民美國</strong><strong>，</strong><strong>事後呂博士回來台灣再與魏先生見面時</strong><strong>，</strong><strong></strong></p>
<p><strong>Mr Wei told Dr Lu about the experiences of Mr Zhang and Mr Chen, and<br />
suggested that let the two of them detailed their experiences to Dr Lu<br />
in person, so that Dr Lu could publish a report on his self cure body<br />
conditioning method.</strong></p>

You wrote that : ( It is not hard to become a vegetarian at all. Just think and see with the eye of Truth, that you are eating corpses of dead animals. Join social network www.protectanimalsandnature.ning.com and have a closer look about killing animals in this saha world. Also advice your relatives to began cooking very healthy vegatarian food for example rice porridge (Gen Mai) . The recipe is found on our channel : OBF Buddhist medicine group. ) . It&#8217;s so great to become vegetarian because you follow exactly the five precepts of Buddha , i agree with you , I think . But , I see sometimes Buddhist <a class="zem_slink" title="Bhikkhu" rel="wikipedia" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bhikkhu">monks</a> who eat meats that Buddhists had prepared to them . In my opinion , one who kill an animal must have sin , but one who only eat this meat he must have sin too . If there is no one to eat meat , there is no one to kill animals also .<br />

<h1><span style="color:#0000ff;"><span style="color:#ff0000;"><strong>Answer</strong></span><strong> : We are happy that our Dharma <a class="zem_slink" title="Dharma (Buddhism)" rel="wikipedia" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dharma_%28Buddhism%29">teachings</a> brought you closer to ahimsa or non-violence, represented  by <a class="zem_slink" title="Vegetarianism" rel="wikipedia" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vegetarianism">vegetarianism</a>. Yes, if there would be no one to eat meat there will not be any killing of animals for food. Let´s pray that all 600 millions and more Buddhists will soon all become vegetarians. Some Buddhists don´t see the interconnectedness of everything and even many Buddhist monks eat meat; although they don´t kill animals themselves,  they accept meat if it is offered to them. When we visited Tibetan Buddhist centre in Swiss many years ago ( around 1991) the food for dinner was momos with meat ! It is difficult to teach such Buddhists that vegetarian food is necessary. They would  argue that Buddhists in Asian countries often eat meat and there is centuries old “tradition” of meat eating. They could also say: “Who are you to teach that Buddhists must not eat meat ?!  You were not even born in the central land (refering to the country where Buddhism exist for centuries )…” It´s hard to believe that youtube viewers sometimes write offensive commentaries for Visual Dharma : Avalokiteshvara Buddha of compassion , where there is open dialogue about vegetarianism : meat eating. Some feel offended that we don´t publish commentaries for support of meat eating.</strong></span></h1>
<h1><span style="color:#0000ff;"><strong>Let´s clarify again: meat eating habbit is deeply “embeded”  in beings who eat meat. As the Chinese saying goes : You are what you eat !  Our aim is to educate and bring awareness about the importance of not eating meat (corpses of dead animals) and to bring more wisdom and true compassion  to this saha world. Ancient story : </strong><strong>My lap is your perch</strong><strong> &#8211; tells us that animals are not afraid of those who eat only vegetarian food. Some even come to meditate with us.   With these words may peace and true happiness be with every sentient being. </strong></span></h1>
<h1><span style="color:#0000ff;"><strong> </strong><span style="color:#ff0000;"><strong>III.WISDOM WITHOUT BORDERS</strong><strong> </strong></span></span></h1>
<h1><span style="color:#ff0000;"><strong>3.1 My lap is your perch</strong></span></h1>
<h1><span style="color:#0000ff;"><strong>Long ago an old old hermit lived deep in the woods. He was so kind that he never killed any living creature. One day he was sitting under the ancient tree. Just as he began to meditate he felt a gust of wind coming towards him. “</strong><span style="color:#3366ff;"><strong>That`s  strange</strong></span><strong>,” he taught and opened his eyes. He saw a little bird sitting in his lap. The bird was not at all flustered . It was quite at home, as if it were perching  on a twig. The hermit recited the Buddha Amitabha´s name and said to himself . “</strong><strong><span style="color:#3366ff;">So you think my lap is a perch ? Well then, I can hardly refuse you. <a class="zem_slink" title="Amitābha" rel="wikipedia" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amit%C4%81bha">Amitabha</a>, this is good, this is good.</span>”</strong></span></h1>
<h1><span style="color:#0000ff;"><strong> Then the little bird curled up and went to sleep right there in his lap. The hermit was afraid to disturb its dreams. So he began looking into his own heart and immeditately entered very deep state of meditation. </strong></span></h1>
<h1><span style="color:#0000ff;"><strong> Much later he left his meditation state but the bird was still sleeping. He didn´t move, because he didn´t want to bother it. He said very quietly , </strong><strong>“<span style="color:#3366ff;">Amitabha. Just keep sleeping. You can fly away when you slept your full.” </span></strong><strong>Finally the little bird woke up. It flapped its wings  and streched its legs. It chirped quietly a few times. Then it straightened its feathers and its beak and flapped its wings a few more times. Only then did it fly away. </strong></span></h1>
<h1><span style="color:#0000ff;"><strong> When it had flown away the old hermit got on his feet. He watched its little friend until it was out of sight. Then he left the tree and went back to his little hut. </strong></span></h1>

<p>Zenshinkan Aikido was founded by <strong><a title="Edward Haupt Sensei" href="http://www.zenshinkan.com/Popups/Edward.htm" target="_blank">Edward Haupt Sensei </a></strong>who studied under Hideki Shiohira Shihan of the <strong><a title="Pacific Aikido Federation" href="http://www.pacific-aikido.org/" target="_blank">Pacific Aikido Federation</a></strong> who in turn was a student of many prominent <a title="aikidoka" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aikidoka" target="_blank"><strong>aikidōka</strong></a><strong> </strong>including the founder, OSensei<em> </em><strong><a title="Morihei Ueshiba" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Morihei_Ueshiba" target="_blank">Morihei Ueshiba</a></strong></p>
<p>I look forward to studying there and to bringing my son to study there in the years to come.</p>

No single religion has all the answers. Construction of shrine and temple buildings is not enough. Establish yourself as a living buddha image. Le-a acceptat, dar asta nu înseamnă că a renunţat. Întrebat spre sfârşitul vieţii care a fost lupta cea mai puternică purtată împotriva vreunui duşman a fost cea purtată împotriva sa însuşi. Una din modalităţile prin care Gandhi a controlat sistemul şi a câştigat respectul a fost să privească dincolo de sistem şi să se accepte pe sine.</p>
<p>Despre asta am mai scris în &#8220;<a href="http://dindragostepentrud.wordpress.com/2008/12/27/intelegere-iertare-si-acceptare-de-sine/" target="_blank">I shall not bend or break&#8230;</a>&#8221;  Dar nu am scris despre ce anume trebuie să se afle în convingeri pentru a reuşi aceasta. Mai jos, redau câteva pasaje ce reflectă principiul despre care scriu.</p>
<p>&#8220;<em>Arta păcii este principiul non-rezistenţei şi tocmai din această cauză ea este victorioasă încă de la început. Cei care au intenţii rele sau gânduri certăreţe sunt instantaneu înfrânţi. Arta Păcii este invincibilă deoarece ea nu se lupăt cu nimic. Nu există întreceri în Arta Păcii. Un adevărat luptător este invincibil deoarece el nu se întrece cu nimeni şi nimic. A învinge înseamnă să biruieşti spiritul certăreţ pe careîl găzduieşti în tine.</em>&#8220;</p>

<p style="text-align:justify;">&#8220;Realitatea este ca fiecare este unic, fiecare are o anumita individualitate.<br />
Trebuie <strong>sa renuntam, pur si simplu la ideile noastre despre &#8220;cum a trebui oamenii sa fie&#8221;</strong>; ele trebuie inlocuite cu ideea ca, indiferent cum ar fi oamenii, ei sunt frumosi.<br />
Nimeni nu este superior, nimeni nu este inferior si nu exista nici persoane egale intre ele. Fiecare este unic.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">Egalitatea este din punct de vedere psihologic o aberatie. Nu toti oamenii pot fi Albert Einstein sau Rabindranath Tagore. Insa aceasta nu inseamna ca R.T. este superior pentru ca tu nu poti fi asemenea lui.</p>
