Bruno Dayan is an amazing French fashion photographer. He has photographed for Louis Vuitton, Moschino, Yves Saint Laurent, Max Factor, Palmers, Chantal Thomass, and Lejaby. I like him because of the multiple subtle ways he uses light turning it into a color play across the silhouettes of his models. They appear sexy and innocent, close and far away, open to the eye of the photographer, but surreal mysterious to eye of the viewer…

The self-proclaimed ‘diva’ had the ultimate shopping spree at Harvey Nichols in LDN this past weekend. She spent $20,000 British POUNDS on some Missoni, Philip Lim, Rodarte, Christopher Kane, Moschino and more stuff that will kill me inside if I go on to list. Twenty thousand pounds is almost $33,000 USD!

I can’t help but feel really depressed and incredibly jealous. What are your thoughts? Is that just way too extreme or should the diva be able to spend her money however she wants?

Những gam màu nóng rực rỡ không còn là sở hữu độc quyền của phái đẹp nữa đâu nhé! Bởi lẽ nhưng thiết kế dành cho các bạn nam năm nay rất-ư-là sặc sỡ và đa màu sắc. Trên những sàn diễn thời trang từ New York đến Paris rồi Milan đều xuất hiện điều đặn những thiết kế cho vest, ghilê, sơ mi hay short của các thương hiệu thời trang danh tiếng như Calvin Klein, Louis Vuitton, Moschino … luôn làm chói mắt người xem bởi trang phục và giày dép. Everything I wear here is gray, hence this post’s title. Occasionally, I’ll do a monochromatic look. Usually not, though, because I have a lot of stuff that needs to be worn and enjoyed and I do. Having fun with my clothes and accessories is one of life’s little pleasures. I like monochromatic looks quite a lot and should wear them more often because they do give me the appearance of a little more height on my 5′1 frame.

In the first picture, I wear a Moschino Cheap and Chic cardigan & shell, a Michael Kors skirt, Trina Turk for Hue tights, and Moschino shoes. Before I went out, I threw on a gray Akris Punto coat …

My shoes are very Bottega Veneta -esque with their woven leather strips …

Chanel Iman is een rijzende ster in de modellenwereld. Steeds vaker zie je haar op de catwalk en in de

bladeren. Ze is deels Koreaans en Afrikaans-Amerikaans en heeft voor vele grote designers gewerkt zoals

Dolce & Gabbana, Issey Miyake, Kenzo, Marc Jacobs, Stella McCartney, Valentino, Bottega Veneta,

Dsquared, Hermès, Moschino, Oscar de la Renta en Jean Paul Gaultier.

Ze heeft ook het perfecte modellenfiguur. Benen die ultraslank en lang zijn. Zoals je kunt zien op de

foto’s hieronder. Haar stijl is leuk. Ze probeert steeds wel weer iets anders uit.

Ze houdt van een stoere look met vrouwelijk touch, zoals high heels, juwelen en bont. Hopelijk nep bont.

Ik vind haar een heel mooi meisje. Een heel zacht gezicht waar ik van hou.

Ik kom erachter dat ze jonger is dan mij! Dat had ik niet verwacht. Had haar niet veel ouder geschat, maar

jonger! Ze is geboren op 30 november 1989 in Georgia. Ze staat onder contract bij Ford Models. Ook heeft

ze dit jaar voor het eerst voor Victoria Secret gelopen. Ik denk dat we nog veel meer van haar gaan horen.

Sooo saw this the other day and LOVE the crazy pile of typography, and it’s so Moschino cheap & chic.

And the black and white, positive/negative feel of the design. Although I think the couture would have popped nicely with a pink or red (to match my red moschino bag = P).

Milan c’est déroutant !

S’il y a bien une chose dont j’étais certain en allant à Milan, c’est qu’il allait falloir me ligoter pour éviter que ma CB ne prenne feu…
La Via Montenapoloene, la Via Della Spiga, le Corso Como, autant d’évocations d’un shopping miraculeux qui me faisaient frémir à l’avance.
Cette ville représentait pour moi un paradis de la mode comme peuvent l’être Londres, New York ou Paris, mais avec un supplément d’âme…. l’Italie !
Alors j’avais tout prévu, mon Fantastic Man sous le bras, mon renard autour du cou et mes wayfarer sur le nez pour être à la hauteur de l’événement.

Pourtant, de retour depuis plus de dix jours, je ne sais toujours pas quoi penser de tout ça.
C’est vrai, j’ai pris un réel plaisir à voir à quel point les milanais aiment la mode et le luxe. Cet amour du vêtement transparaît partout, dans la rue d’abord mais aussi dans les boutiques super bien tenues. Une mention très spéciale pour Prada (oui Céline j’ai lu ton post, mais je suis jaloux que t’en ai parlé avant moi), et pour Moschino dont j’aime bien le chic so 90’s avec une pointe de vulgarité… on y a même vu une veste militaire pour homme parfaitement coupée avec juste ce qui faut d’ornements.

Parfois on tombe aussi sur une curiosité, comme ce chapelier qui tient plus du magasin de farces et attrapes que d’une boutique de luxe. J’avoue que j’y ai même traîné Céline en hurlant « on va faire une razzia ils sont canons ces chapeaux à 10 € »… avant de découvrir dans ce joyeux bordel, dans lequel on pouvait tout juste pénétrer faute de place, qu’il étaient quasiment tous griffés Stephen Jones ou Philip Treacy ! Nous avons ravalé notre envie, mais tout de même essayé quelques une de ces choses improbables qu’on peut apercevoir dans la vitrine.

Et puis sur notre route il y avait of course l’inévitable Corso Como. Il fallu marcher, marcher et encore marcher, sous la pluie, s’arrêter tout les dix mètres pour essayer une paire de gants bleu paon ou une paire de chaussures aubergine… Je n’en voyait plus la fin, à tel point que lorsque nous sommes arrivés devant le Saint Graal j’ai bien cru que l’on s’était trompés. Pour moi le Corso Como c’était un mix entre Colette et Tad, le chic Milanais en plus. Je ne m’attendais à un truc super luxe, super glam, super pour moi en somme. (~~je plaisante~~)
Mais me retrouver devant une bâtisse tout juste ravalée, couverte de végétation, pas très bien signalée de l’extérieur, jamais je n’aurais imaginé ça ! Il a bien fallu deux minutes pour être certains d’être au bon endroit, d’autant que nous avons attaqué direct par la librairie. Bon je ne voulais pas paraître idiot… mais je me demandais bien où étaient les fringues….enfin au Corso Como on parle plutôt de vêtements car la sélection fait la part belle à mon chouchou Martin M (si tu m’entends Martin saches que je me ferais un plaisir de me transformer, rien que pour toi, en super VRP de tes créations).
C’est éclectique, c’est excentrique, c’est souvent très cher, c’est parfois de très mauvais goût… le grand chic en somme. Il y a même des trucs que j’ai pas compris, comme la déco de l’espace mode que je trouve super kitch voire franchement ringarde… mais j’ai dû passer à côté de quelque chose.

en réalité ce que j'ai préféré c'est l'harmonie du lieu...

Bref le Corso Como ça décoiffe son parisien, c’est pas aseptisé, c’est limite bordel, le lieu est plutôt grandiose, j’ai même dû surveiller Céline pour qu’elle ne se laisse pas enfermer dans la librairie…elle aurait pu y passer la nuit !
Nous sommes repartis la conscience en paix, le sentiment du devoir accompli, une case de plus venait d’être cochée dans la longue liste de l’existence du parfait modeux.
Toutefois je serais menteur en m’arrêtant là… car les plus belles émotions du week-end je les ai vécu chez un petit primeur à l’étal des quatre saisons fantastique de couleurs… 500 photos plus loin, 18 Pimm’s et un stop dans la super boulangerie Princi, voilà le résultat…
Milan c’est définitivement déroutant !

Katsui graduated from Central Saint Martins College after studying at Parsons The New School for Design. Yagi graduated from Doshisha University and Central Saint Martins College.
The brand, mintdesigns was launched in 2001. They have been in Tokyo Collection since ‘03 S/S. The awards they won include the Moet et Chandon New Designer’s Award in 2005. In 2007, mintdesigns garage store opened in Shibuya PARCO. They presented their collection in the 21_21 DESIGN SIGHT THIS PLAY! show. In 2008, they presented the opening show at São Paulo Fashion Week for ‘09 S/S. Both designers currently hold positions as guest professors at the Faculty of Art and Design at Osaka Seikei University. In 2009 they presented their collection at the Milano Salone TOKYO FIBER ‘09.Mint Designs turned out a dainty crop of dresses featuring details such as shimmery stripes, textured fabric and quirky graphics. One frock featured a darling print of tiny Charlie Chaplins, while another showcased circular cutouts along the sides.

Altri scatti dal set della terza stagione di Gossip Girl. Questa volta Taylor Momsen, alias Jenny Humphrey, è in versione elegante e molto noir. Infatti indossa un lungo abito nero, con strascico ricco di paillettes, di Andrew GN. Ma non solo, anche il cappotto è elaborato e firmato da una grande maison, ovvero Moschino. E’ leggero, stretto in vita e ricco di particolari. Inoltre, finalmente, Taylor non ha più quel trucco nero molto pesante. Uno smoky eyes sì, ma più leggero, con i capelli raccolti ed ordinati. Il tocco in più? Il rossetto rosa, vero must di stagione in fatto di make up.

Moschino: London Window Display. November 1st. Week

Moschino continúa exponiendo el mismo escaparate central de la última semana de octubre, lo que sí ha variado es su window display lateral (el de la puerta roja). Y es que la firma italiana ha vuelto a la pata de gallo, recordad que fue el primero en exponer una prenda en este estampado, y os estoy hablando ni más ni menos que de la segunda semana de agosto.

Para esta ocasión, siguiendo la tendencia de las chaquetas militares (y quizás influenciado por los Iconic Beatles Artefacts del escaparate de su vecino Asprey) la casa italiana propone su particular visión de lo que sería un abrigo con toque militar.

Moschino: London Window Display. October last week

Moschino es tan previsible que ha hecho exactamente lo que vaticiné durante su escaparate de la segunda semana de octubre:

“cuando pase la fiebre de celebraciones ¿volverá la firma a exponer el mismo display de la primera semana de octubre?. No sería de extrañar ya que Moschino no destaca precisamente por invertir en escaparates a corto plazo y suele mantenerlos idénticos durante dos meses justos (dixit.)”

Y así ha sido. Después de celebrar por todo lo alto el cumpleaños de TATLER la firma ha vuelto a montar el mismo escenario inaugurado la primera semana de octubre, pero lógicamente (y cómo era de esperar) con algunas variaciones. Moschino ha substituído la Perfecto decorada con imperdibles que presidía el display por otra propuesta de su Colección Otoño-Invierno 09-10 también rematada por estos pequeños objetos metálicos:

I’m currently unemployed, or as I like to put it, “freelance”.

As a result, I have no reason to be on the Australian ebay, and far too much time for excess blogging. My interest in Claire Inc supports both vices.

As a seller on eBay, with a supporting website, she lists hundreds of pieces of designer vintage. I’ve been trawling their website of months, particularly before the sewing machine ever came out, using it for inspiration and have never bought a single thing.

Pixie Lott customized a jersey grey T-shirt for Moschino. How? By writing down the text of her single Mama Do on the shirt. Not really spectacular, but it looks nice. You can buy the T-shirt for €95,- on the site of the fashion house half November. The money will be donated to a charity organisation. Nice work you guys!
