Ein Sieg auf der ganzen Linen. In der Schweiz dürfen keine Minarette mehr gebaut werden. Wir sind das einzige Land auf der Welt, das der Bau von Minaretten per Gesetzt verbietet. Das ist das dritte Mal in 30 Jahren das eine Hochrechnung doch noch gekippt wurde. Vor 3 Wochen wurde die Initiativemit mit 53 % noch deutlich verworfen.

Leider bin ich gerade ziemlich im Stress, weil ich noch ein Schaf besorgen muss, aber meine moslemischen Brueder hier sind vom heidnischen Christen in ihrem Glauben vergiftet und zu Mega-Kapitalisten gedreht worden. Dazu vielleicht spaeter mehr.

JAKARTA (UCAN) – Cardinal Jean-Louis Tauran has stressed the importance of dialogue in meetings with Muslim leaders in Indonesia.

Continuing his first visit to the country, the President of the Pontifical Council for Interreligious Dialogue met with Muslim leaders at the two largest Islamic organizations in Indonesia — Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) and Muhammadiyah.

He also spoke with Abdurrahman Wahid, former Indonesian president, at the Wahid Institute he founded. During each of the visits the cardinal stressed Pope Benedict XVI’s official position.

“Dialogue is not optional but a necessity,” he told his hosts.

He urged schools and universities to help play their part in encouraging interreligious dialogue that “is based on tolerance, mutual respect and cooperation.”

At the Muhammadiyah headquarters in Central Jakarta, the cardinal joined Muslim leaders in a dialogue session on “Building Trust for Social Justice.” He began his speech to the 70 Catholics, Protestants and Muslims gathered there with birthday greetings for the organization, which celebrated its 100th anniversary on Nov. 25.

Cardinal Tauran also wished Muslims “Selamat Hari Idul Adha” (Happy Id al-Adha). Muslims celebrated Id al-Adha, which commemorates the willingness of Abraham to sacrifice his son, on Nov. 27 this year.

Din Syamsuddin, chairperson of Muhammadiyah who acted as the dialogue moderator, said the cardinal’s visit would help continue Christian-Muslim dialogue in a more concrete way.

These talks had been derailed due to Muslim-Christian clashes in Ambon and other provinces. Three years of such clashes left up to 6,000 people dead and displaced thousands before a peace pact was signed in 2002.

“From my personal assessment and evaluation, there is a good Muslim-Catholic relationship in Indonesia,” said Syamsuddin. “But I have to say there are still problems between Muslims and Christians, especially at the grassroots level.”

These problems may have religious overtones but were not fundamentally religious in nature, he said.

Earlier on Nov. 26, Cardinal Tauran visited NU headquarters and spoke with its chairman Hasyim Muzadi. Both men agreed that they believed in a “true brotherhood,” which is more meaningful than dialogue.

Cardinal Tauran was accompanied on his visits by apostolic nuncio to Indonesia Archbishop Leopoldo Girelli, chairman of the Indonesian Bishops’ Conference (KWI) Bishop Martinus Dogma Situmorang of Padang, Jesuit Cardinal Julius Darmaatmadja of Jakarta, Coadjutor Archbishop Ignatius Suharyo Hardjoatmodjo of Jakarta, and KWI’s general secretary Bishop Johannes Maria Trilaksyanta Pujasumarta of Bandung, who is a member of the Pontifical Council for Interreligious Dialogue.

I recently found myself at a newsstand, staring in disbelief at a magazine. I initially thought it was some kind of parody, but it wasn’t “The Onion,” it was “The Atlantic.” Yes, the venerable “Atlantic,” founded by such literary luminaries as Emerson, Longfellow, and Harriet Beecher Stowe. On the cover of the December 2009 issue is a photograph of a Christian cross bedecked with signs reading “Foreclosure” and “For Sale,” along with this headline: “Did Christianity Cause The Crash? How Preachers Are Spreading a Gospel of Debt.”

Yes, I did. I did do that.

For a moment I pictured myself dressed as Urkel, standing in the smoking rubble of a demolished US Treasury Building, pointing at the mess and sheepishly, nasally intoning, “Did I do that?”
In all fairness, the article does refer specifically to the chicanery of the name-it-and-claim-it prosperity frauds. I have long been disturbed by cashier-clergymen like Peter Popoff and Benny Hinn, though my objections are mainly theological in character. But to blame bad doctrine, heretical though it may be, for the global economic collapse is absurd. (Unless, of course, Barney Frank and Christopher Dodd have been ordained and are now co-hosting a new “PTL Club” television program.)

I'm so glad I'm a part of the family of Dodd.

            The article aside, however, the cover draws no distinction between health-and-wealth con men and legitimate, sincere, biblical believers. Call me paranoid, but I wonder if this isn’t an early and mild precursor to persecution.
            I use the phrase “early and mild precursor” advisedly. In Islamic regions, in parts of India, and in communist nations like China and North Korea, persecution simply comes with being a Christ-follower; here in the States, on the other hand, the church has it relatively soft and cushy right now. But could magazine covers like this one be a foretaste of the near future?
            If so, the first requirement would be a real or ginned-up crisis – the kind that inspires mob mentality and fear. After that, the scapegoating can begin in earnest. History bears this out: When Emperor Nero wanted to initiate his own campaign of anti-Christian persecution, he did it by pinning a disaster on them. In 64 A.D., a fire destroyed 10 of the 14 wards of Rome. The citizens suspected Nero was behind the fire. In his Annals of Imperial Rome (XV.44), the Roman historian Tacitus wrote an account of Nero’s response:
            “Consequently, to get rid of the report, Nero fastened the guilt and inflicted the most exquisite tortures on a class hated for their abominations, called ‘Christians’ by the populace. Christus, from whom the name had its origin, suffered the extreme penalty during the reign of Tiberius at the hands of one of our procurators, Pontius Pilatus…Accordingly, an arrest was first made of all who pleaded guilty; then, upon their information, an immense multitude was convicted.”
            Nero killed two birds with one stone. He coerced confessions to dodge the blame, and he finally had a viable rationalization for persecuting Christians.
            Maybe you’re saying, “Well, O Paranoid One, this magazine cover does hit on Christianity, but other faiths take a beating in the media too.” Hm. Let’s contrast the Atlantic cover against one recent incident: The Fort Hood Massacre.
            The Culture and Media Institute is a conservative group that monitors media trends for signs of liberal bias. They recently published a study entitled, “PC News: Networks Downplay Terrorism, Muslim Connection in Ft. Hood Attack.” Some highlights:
            “85 percent of the broadcast stories didn’t mention the word ‘terror.’ ABC, CBS, and NBC evening news

ABC News reports that the gunman was not shouting "Allahu Akbar," but was, in fact, just singing "Rock the Casbah."

referenced terrorism connections to the Fort Hood attack just seven times in 48 reports.”
            Only “twenty-nine percent of evening news reports mentioned that Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan was a Muslim. Of those, half (7 out of 14) defended the religion or included experts to do so.”
            Remember the slaying of abortionist George Tiller? It seemed like every news outlet in America was describing it as “domestic terrorism,” and many in the media didn’t even wait for the capture of a suspect before connecting Pro-Life Christian teachings and rhetoric to the murder. So, while the cover of “The Atlantic” whispers that Christianity caused the recession, it seems the major news networks would have us believe that Islamic jihadist teachings and terrorism played no role in the Fort Hood Massacre.
            Am I paranoid? I can only paraphrase Joseph Heller or Kurt Cobain or the anonymous bumper sticker sloganeer who first observed, “I may be paranoid, but that doesn’t necessarily mean that ‘they’ aren’t out to get me.” (Insert eerie Theremin solo here!)
            So watch and pray, believers, but most of all, trust, because “God hath not given us the spirit of fear.” And we can be sure this hasn’t taken our Savior by surprise: In Matthew 10:22, Jesus said, “And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved.”

INDONESIA Muslim leaders welcome Vatican cardinal to grand mosque

JAKARTA (UCAN) – President of the Pontifical Council for Interreligious Dialogue Cardinal Jean-Louis Tauran has paid a visit to the national Istiqlal mosque, the largest in Southeast Asia, during his first official trip to the country.

Cardinal Tauran, walking barefoot, was accompanied by Jesuit Cardinal Julius Darmaatmadja of Jakarta, Coadjutor Archbishop Ignatius Suharyo Hardjoatmodjo of Jakarta and Bandung Bishop Johannes Maria Trilaksyanta Pujasumarta, a member of the Pontifical Council for Interreligious Dialogue.

Several officials of the Indonesian Bishops’ Conference also took part in the Nov. 25 visit.

The mosque’s imam Kiai Hajj Syarifuddin Muhammad warmly welcomed the Catholics. “This mosque does not belong only to Muslims but all religious followers. They all are welcome here,” he said.

The national mosque of Indonesia, which can hold more than 100,000 people, stands across the road from the Assumption Cathedral Church in Central Jakarta. The mosque’s main rectangular prayer hall building is topped by a 45-meter-diameter spherical dome supported by 12 columns.

“This is the first time I feel a sincere atmosphere of neighborhood. It seems there is no gap between Muslims and Catholics,” Cardinal Tauran said.

In an earlier visit to the cathedral, the cardinal said Muslims had lessons for Christians. “Muslims have a very strong spirituality. They wake up early in the morning to pray,” he said. “Our young priests should follow this example … waking up early in the morning to pray to start their daily activities.”

He said it was vital for Catholics to take part in the lives of other communities.

“We, Catholics, must be witnesses to the surrounding communities. This is one of the meanings of interreligious dialogue. And to be witnesses, we need to have a deep spirituality,” he said.

Nasaruddin Umar, director of the Religious Affairs Ministry’s Directorate General for Muslim Community Guidance, told UCA News that he was impressed with Cardinal Tauran’s visit to this mosque. “It means Christians can be at peace with Muslims,” he said.

The mosque was designed by Protestant architect Frederich Silaban to celebrate independence. Istiqlal means “independence” in Arabic. The country’s first president Soekarno broke ground on the site on Aug. 24, 1961. It took 17 years to build and was opened by the country’s second president Soeharto on Feb. 22, 1978.

Cardinal Tauran arrived in Indonesia on Nov. 24 and is expected to depart on Dec. 1.

According to organizers, the trip aims to give the Pontifical Council for Interreligious Dialogue a better understanding of the religious situation in the country as well as help the Church forge better ties with other religious communities here.

On Nov. 26, the cardinal met with leaders of the Wahid Institute. The institute, founded by former president Abdurrahman Wahid, works to bring about a just and peaceful world by espousing a moderate and tolerant view of Islam.

On the same day, the cardinal met with leaders of Nahdlatul Ulama and Muhammadiyah, the two largest Islamic organizations in Indonesia. He is also expected to meet with Hindu leaders in Bali and Muslim leaders in Makassar and Yogyakarta.

INDONESIA How a Muslim became a 'co-worker' of Blessed Teresa

JAKARTA (UCAN) – A Muslim woman has told how she answered the misgivings of friends when she joined a group of Catholics in caring for the poor and elderly sick in the Indonesian capital.

“My intention was to help those in need,” said Delly, 63, who joined the Kerabat Kerja Ibu Teresa (Co-workers of Mother Teresa) in 2004.

Her decision raised some eyebrows among Muslims she knew. “They worried about proselytism but I just told them to come and see what we were doing,” she told a Nov. 21 meeting at St. John the Evangelist Church in south Jakarta to celebrate Blessed Teresa of Kolkata’s life.

The group is “pure” in its intentions, Delly said.

Kerabat Kerja Ibu Teresa is part of the International Association of the Co-workers of Mother Teresa. A co-worker makes a commitment to pray daily and work for the poor at least once a week.

The Indonesian group, with 206 mainly lay Catholic members, began its mission in 1985 with volunteers visiting the sick, poor and elderly.

In 1992, the group added a home, called Wisma Sahabat Baru, which serves as a temporary shelter for the sick who cannot afford other alternatives.

One resident of the home, Benediktus Bejo, 37, was paralyzed in a car accident 18 months ago. He said his friend took him to a hospital but he could not afford the cost of 12 million rupiah (US$1,260) a month.

That was when he met a member of the Mother Teresa group who took him to their West Jakarta home.

“I feel so lucky and thankful to be staying here,” he told UCA News.

“The volunteers are so friendly. They bathe and feed me along with the other patients,” Bejo, a parishioner of St. Anthony of Padua Church in East Jakarta, told UCA News.

“I have never been visited by any members of my family, but every week young Catholics and members of the Legion of Mary come to see me. They give me strength,” he smiled.

Maria Theresia Soewadji, who coordinates the group, said it was established following a request from Blessed Teresa, who was concerned about poverty in Indonesia.

Blessed Teresa’s Missionaries of Charity nuns are not present in the country.

Nine members of the lay group now care for six patients suffering from paralysis, stroke and diabetes, as well as 11 elderly people. Several doctors provide medical treatment.

“We treat them and meet their daily needs. We send them back to their families when they are healthy enough,” said Soewadji.

Jesuit Father Telephorus Krispurwana Cahyadi, the group’s spiritual adviser, praises the work of the group. “It is an opportunity for lay people to actualize their faith,” he told UCA News.

Hagia Sophia, bahasa Arab: آيا صوفيا , (bahasa Turki: Aya Sofya; bahasa Yunani: Aγια Σοφία, “Kebijaksanaan Suci”), Sancta Sophia dalam bahasa Latin atau Aya Sofya dalam bahasa Turki, adalah sebuah bangunan bekas basilika, masjid, dan sekarang museum, di Istanbul.

Popularly known as the strategic place where the ‘East’ meets the ‘West’, Istanbul in Turkey, is a historic and fascinating city, which bridges the continents of Europe and Asia. Situated on the west of the Bosporus strait, which is responsible for joining the Black sea and the Sea of Marmara, Istanbul has a diverse history that is packed with tradition and ethnicity of its various conquerors.

Istanbul is supposed to have been inhabited right from the primitive times, and excavations conducted in that place have unearthed several evidences, that date it somewhere between 5500 BC and 3500 BC. Records also point to the fact that the modern Istanbul was actually a small Thracian fishing village called Semista in 1000BC, which also had a port by name of Lygos.

By 667 BC, a Greek ruler by name of Byzas, from Megara, established his kingdom here, on the advice of an oracle of Delphi, and named it Byzantium. But it was besieged by the Romans in AD 196, and became part of the Roman Empire. The ravaged city was rebuilt by the Roman Emperor, Septimus Severus, and temporarily given the name of ‘Augusta Antonina’. But in 306 AD, Emperor Constantine the Great made Byzantium the capital of the entire Roman Empire, and from then on, the city was called Constantinople. The Byzantium Empire was more or less influenced by Greek culture, and was also a hub of Greek Orthodox Christianity, which resulted in the construction of several magnificent Christian architectural wonders, the prominent among them being the Hagia Sophia, which remained the world’s largest cathedral till 1850.

The Roman Empire passed through much turmoil due to attack from various sources, especially the Barbarians, not to mention their internal problems, and finally, in 532 AD, during the reign of Justinian I, the city was totally destroyed due to anti government riots. Though much favored for its ideal location, that made trade and transport between continents an easy affair, this very factor also proved to be the doom of Constantinople. For several hundred years hence, it had to face a lot of assault from the Arabs, Nomadic, Persians, as well as the Fourth crusaders, who periodically occupied it.

At last, in 1453, Constantinople was attacked and conquered by the courageous Ottoman Turks led by Sultan Mehmet II, who renamed it Istanbul. It continued to function not just as an important cultural, political and commercial hub, but also as their main centre for military operations too, till World War I, after which it was occupied by the Allies.

Sultan Mehmet II was supposed to have given the city a cosmopolitan social outlook. After deporting the remaining Byzantine population, a great many changes were made to the existing architecture in general. The old world Christian city was gradually transformed into a Muslim conurbation as the Emperor started rebuilding all churches so as to convert them to mosques. The great mosque and the Fatih College were built on the old burial grounds of the erstwhile Byzantine Emperors at the Church of the Holy Apostles. The Hagia Sophia too was converted to a mosque. But to his credit, the Sultan held a cosmopolitan outlook and for the greater part, allowed people of all faiths to settle in the vast city, and made effective use of their varied skills. Tolerance was a great virtue that was practiced by Sultan Mehmet II, and it was reflected all over the empire.Istanbul acquired a status of great importance in the eyes of all Muslims, after the conquest of Egypt, and its glory increased from leaps and bounds in the hands of its various rulers, many of whom were great patrons of art and architecture.

Although the capital of Turkey was changed from Istanbul to Ankara by Kemal Ataturk, in 1923, Istanbul still retained its attractions and continued to expand majestically. But gradually, due to the mass exodus of the various nationalities, especially after the war between Greece and Turkey, it became a prominent Muslim nation.

The many historic monuments of yesteryears, that are to be found there, like the various museums, castles, palaces, mosques, churches, etc contribute greatly to the increase in the tourism industry today. In fact, many of its historic architectures have been added to the UNESCO’s list of world heritage sites. Though no more a capital city, Istanbul, which is considered to be Turkey’s cultural and financial center, still retains its old world attraction and continues to generate its own individual history through out the ages.

Guten Tag!

Bin mal wieder auf etwas sehr kurioses gestoßen. Zufällig gelang ich auf die News-Seite von Yahoo und sah dort einen Artikel über die Raumfähre Atlantis. Neugierig klickte ich auf den Link und der Artikel öffnete sich. “Raumfähre Atlantis auf dem weg zur ISS”, das ist ja toll, doch was hat ein Bücher lesender Moslem damit zu tun.
Ja ihr hört richtig, aber seht selbst:

Wollen die jetzt etwa Bücher lesende Moslems zur ISS schicken um zu erforschen wie gut man arabische Schrift im Weltraum lesen kann, oder ob die Nutzung des Korans auch unter Extrembedingungen möglich ist?
Ich hätte mich gefreut wenn die Kollegen von Yahoo das etwas genauer erklärt hätten.

In Sydney ist ein australischer Junge von einer Gruppe moslemischer Mitschüler angegriffen und gequält worden, weil er während des islamischen Fastenmonats Ramadan Salami vom Schwein gegessen hat. Das berichtet der Daily Telegraph. Die Vorfälle waren demnach so schlimm, dass die Eltern des Jungen beschlossen haben, ihn in Zukunft auf eine andere Schule zu schicken.

Juden-Vergleiche sind so eine Sache – in Deutschland.

Während sich woanders niemand großartig dafür interessiert, kann ein unüberlegter “Juden-Vergleich” den politischen Kopf und Posten kosten. Sofern man nicht selbst Jude und am Besten der fette Schmerbauch Henryk M. Broder ist.

Prominente Beispiele sind der Präsident des Ifo-Instituts, Hans-Werner Sinn, der die Managerkritik (Wir erinnern uns dunkel: Damit sind die schlauen Banker und Manager aus Doischland gemeint, die Milliarden an amerikanischen Klopapieren verzockt, auch während der Krise fette Boni kassiert hatten und trotzdem von uns Steuerzahlern ausgelöst wurden.) mit der Judenverfolgung verglichen hatte, oder Faruk Şen, der ehemalige Direktor des Zentrum für Türkeistudien in Essen, weil der mal gesagt hatte, Türken seien die “neuen Juden Europas”. Im Gegensatz zum Christen Sinn musste der Moslem Şen allerdings seinen Posten auf Wunsch des christlichen NRW-Integrationsminister Armin Laschet räumen.

Um diese “Juden”-Vergleichsorgien zu verstehen, müsste man sich natürlich zuerst mit der Materie beschäftigen, obwohl einem sein Gefühl bereits sagt, dass da was dran ist. Charakteristisch nämlich für die Verfolgung anderer Menschen ist die vorbereitende und begleitende Hetze einer Handvoll Naziwichser wie Stefan Herre Barbaren, die ihre Berufung in der dunklen Seite der Macht sehen. Tatsächlich sind die Mechanismen für die Verfolgung anderer immer gleich, insofern haben die Juden natürlich kein Monopol auf das Opferdasein, und genau genommen bezieht sich der Alleinvertretungsanspruch des Begriffs “Anti-Semitismus” (oder “Antisemitismus”, wie Broder immer fälschlich faselt) natürlich auf alle semitischen Stämme, also z.B. auch der Araber.

Bei dem Artikel in der Welt Online, auf den sich Der Deutsche bezieht, handelt es sich um einen Mord, bei dem die obdachlosen Mörder im russischen Perm (Da, wo der deutsche Mörder Alex Wiens herkam.) sich zuerst am Opfer labten und dann den Rest seines Fleisches an eine Imbissbude verkauften. Ob es sich dabei wirklich um eine “Döner”-Bude handelt, weiss man natürlich nicht wirklich, aber wie könnte man Dem Deutschen eine Imbissbude sonst anschaulich ohne einen Dönerspieß darstellen?

Jedenfalls wird der von der Nachrichtenagentur dpa verwendete Begriff erwartungsgemäß mit Türken in Verbindung gebracht – und damit natürlich mit “Moslems”. Logisch, dass Stefan Herre und seine HSS sofort losgeifern.

Das führt mich zu der Frage, wo in “Juden-Vergleichen” der wahre Kern verborgen ist, ähnlich wie bei den Zitaten aus Thilo Sarrazins, die aus Texten den 3. Reichs stammen können und lediglich die Worte “Jude” und “Asoziale” durch “Moslems” und “Türken” (wahlweise “Araber”) ausgetauscht wurden. Die verehrte Leserschaft ist hiermit aufgefordert, entsprechende Textpassage mit Quellenangabe in den Kommentarbereich zu posten.

Well look at how many religions there are in this World.
I haven’t read the Koran yet, but I had an Islamic friend, that was back then when I was a Christian, he started to explain how my religion is wrong, and how many Bibles there are in this World, and they’re all different, like You don’t which is the right one, which one to believe.
I am not blaming God for that my dreams haven’t come true (yet, I mean they may come true one day I am still young).
Every time I ask from people: ” is that true everything is possible when You believe in Yourself”? They’re always telling to believe in Jesus.

Why do I think that God doesn’t exist?
*Some people were born as gays, well in The Bible it says that it’s a sin.
Teenagers are discovering who they are and You’re that who You were born, its something that You can’t chance… Like I wouldn’t image if I’d suddenly turn on guys… I was born as a straight, and I can’t chance it, it’s something that I am.. a thing of nature, and so can’t gays chance that.
*Love Your enemies
Well, if I was a christian, should I love devil?! I know it’s kinda rude and negative example, but if someone would kill my wife, kids…. would You just sit there and hope that this man will go to hell?.. You wouldn’t hate this guy? You’d love him and forgive? I don’t know about You, but I can not control my feelings .. I mean I can control my emotions and that what I am doing, but … I wouldn’t love him.

I am agree with that, but mostly people are killing almost EVERY DAY for example flies, mosquitos and so on…

Again, I have nothing against it, but it’s annoying me that so many people are swearing, and when You’re telling a people that she’s a good person, then she usually answers: ” I am not I have too many F-word sins.

I think when You were a little kid, You believed in elves, who’s bringing You candies every night, and You can’t be a bad kid for that. ( to be honest , it’s creative and good way to keep kids on the right track ) , but I remember when I realized that elves doesn’t exist, I cried many hours and I was sad.. Peace and greetings, everyone. Wallahi (By God), I just logged in at 1:38 PM Central Time, and the very first thing I see when I log into Twitter is a dear sister-in-faith’s note to renowned international singer Sami Yusuf that Awakening Records, his former record label, put a copyright claim on the “You Came to Me” video and forced YouTube to pull the video. I think this is absolutely ridiculuous and utter garbage!!! First of all, ETM International has copyright over the video, NOT Awakening!!!

If Awakening thinks that just because they claim that Sami is still under contract with them, then that is something that I thought Sami had already resolved, but apparently not. I really thought that Awakening would have grown up and matured, but THEY HAVEN’T!!! Just for that,

I WILL NO LONGER BUY ANYTHING THAT HAS AWAKENING’S LABEL ON IT, AND ANYTHING THAT HAS AWAKENING’S LABEL ON IT OTHER THAN SAMI’S MUSIC ALBUMS AND DVD THAT I HAVE PREVIOUSLY BOUGHT, I WILL PROCEED TO THROW THEM ALL INTO THE TRASH, AND ANY VIDEO THAT I HAVE THAT HAS ANY OF AWAKENING’S ARTISTS ON IT, I WILL DELETE THEM ALL FROM MY UPLOADED VIDEOS!!!

Awakening has lost ALL of my respect, and, God willing, I will never buy anything that they offer EVER AGAIN!!!

I urge everyone to do the same: BOYCOTT AWAKENING!!! DON’T SUPPORT THEIR ARTISTS, MUSIC, OR ANYTHING ELSE THEY OFFER! Anything that has Awakening’s label on it, AVOID IT LIKE THE PLAGUE!

Here’s a video that I made about a month and a half ago, long before this latest incident happened, but I think it’s pretty indicative of how many, if not all, of Sami Yusuf’s fans feel. (Note: After the video below was published, Wikipedia corrected their Sami Yusuf page to represent both sides of the dispute better. Thank you, Wikipedia, for doing that, at least.)

Brother Sami, please be sure that we are all 100% behind you and we will not let Awakening do this to you without having us answer with a boycott of everything they have. God bless you and strengthen you during this difficult time. Ameen (Amen). Peace and God bless.

Mudahnya Mencari Produk Makanan Halal Di Negeri Kincir Angin

Bagi kebanyakan umat muslim, label halal menjadi prioritas paling utama untuk memilih satu jenis makanan. Apalagi kalau berada dinegara yang minoritas jumlah penduduk muslimnya. Hal ini akan menjadi sebuah tantangan yang cukup berat bagi kalangan umat muslim dalam memilih konsumsi makanan setiap harinya.
Begitu juga bagi kami yang berdomisili di negeri kincir angin, belanda ini. Dulu kami harus menghafal sederetan simbol yang diawali huruf “E” dan tanpa huruf E seperti : E120, E140, E141, E252, E422, E430, E431, E470, E471 dan puluhan hingga ratusan simbol lainnya yang belum tentu bisa dihapal secara sempurna. Simbol yang mengandung campuran makanan yang berasal dari extract “babi”.

Tapi saat ini disebagian supermarket sudah berlomba-lomba menyediakan makanan ber sertifikat dan berlabel halal. Produsen justru proaktif merespon pasar halal di negeri yang justru banyak me-legalkan hal-hal yang bertentangan dengan syariat islam ini.

Di Belanda mayoritas umat islam, baik warga Belanda asli maupun keturunan, sangat sadar ketentuan-ketentuan atau syariat agamanya. Bahkan warga Belanda asli yang telah masuk Islam umumnya jauh lebih disiplin dan ketat menjunjung syariat islam tersebut. Sadar keyakinan, selanjutnya membentuk kesadaran hak.
Sementara di Indonesia saja, yang mayoritas penduduknya muslim masih ada ‘pembangkangan’ sebagian produsen terhadap sertifikat halal,

Perlahan-lahan namun pasti komunitas muslim mengupayakan sendiri kebutuhan halal, sebagaimana komunitas Yahudi juga memenuhi kebutuhan kosher mereka. Muncullah islamitische slagerij (toko daging islam) dan minimarket yang menyediakan makanan minuman halal.

Selain memperhatikan kehalalan yang kasat mata seperti daging, warga muslim di Belanda juga cermat memperhatikan kandungan zat aditif produk makanan minuman, yang secara standar di Eropa menggunakan kode E, diikuti angka. Misalnya jenis emulgator apa yang digunakan. Apakah terbuat dari bahan nabati, atau dari babi?

Kesadaran ini akhirnya membentuk posisi tawar menawar yang sangat kuat dalam lingkar ekonomi diwilayah ini. Bayangkan, di Negeri Belanda ada sekitar 850.000 warga muslim (Centraal Bureau voor Statistiek/CBS, 2007-2008), yang disiplin mencari kebutuhan makanan minuman halal di pasar eksklusif.

Jika diasumsikan dari kebutuhan daging saja per kepala minimal EUR10,00 per pekan, maka potensi pasar yang tersedia sekurangnya EUR8,5 juta per pekan. Tentu saja bisnis ini sangat menggiurkan sejumlah kalangan produsen..

Begitu besar dan potensial pasar muslim, sehingga selain toko-toko Turki dan Maroko, supermarket C1000 dan Albert Heijn (AH), market leader yang menguasai pangsa pasar kelas menengah atas pun langsung menyergap dan menggarapnya. Berbeda dengan toko muslim Turki dan Maroko yang sudah bisa dipastikan halal maka produk-produk halal yang dijual di dua supermarket, C1000 dan Albert Heijn ini, meliputi daging segar dan produk turunannya, secara khusus ditandai dengan stiker halal warna hijau dan ditempatkan secara terpisah.

Dengan menjalin kerjasama dengan rumah-rumah pemotongan muslim bersertifikat, Deen-Hobu dan InterChicken dan di bawah pengawasan Halal International Controle U.A, Den Haag maka pengepakan dan distribusinya juga diperlakukan khusus oleh mereka.
Sedemikian rupa perkembangannya di Belanda, sehingga tidak perlu ada kekhawatiran secara berlebihan seperti tahun-tahun sebelumnya. Sehingga saat ini orang-orang dapat mengatakan bahwa di Belanda mencari makanan halal ternyata lebih jelas dan mudah.

Bergkamen. In der ehemaligen Kohlestadt Bergkamen wird in manchen Vierteln kein Deutsch mehr gesprochen. Ganze Siedlungen direkt im Stadtzentrum sind fest in türkischer Hand. Gefährlich, finden Kritiker.

Radio Wendel, Schuhe Büscher, Metzger Bittner – alle weg. Der Uhrmacher und die alte Drogerie Martin auch. Und dort, wo das kleine Blumenlädchen Generationen von Bergleutefrauen mit Nelken und Tulpen versorgte, dreht sich heute Putenfleisch im Grill der Dönerschmiede. In bester Nachbarschaft zum türkischen Café, Handyshop und Gemüseladen. Doch das Gefühl, dass sich die Deutschen im Zentrum der ehemaligen Kohlestadt auf dem Rückzug befinden, macht sich am kleinen Eckladen am Ende der Einkaufsstraße fest. Im Schaufenster: Burkas, Schadore, bodenlange Mäntel und Kopftücher in schwarz und dunkelblau für die muslimische Frau.
