Projeto Promoção Celebridade INFOTV. Construção de identidade e peças gráficas para a Promoção Celebridade INFOTV. Entre o material, foi produzido um vídeo comercial de 30 segundo para veiculação em mídia digital indoor e um hot site específico. A linguagem foi baseada nas revistas de celebridades, bem como nas personagens ilustradas de cartazes e publicidades dos anos 60.

Segue as vinhetas para o programa Hermes e Renato dessa ano. Na verdade são mini-bumpers temáticos que separam as esquetes de cada atração. Produzido pela Piloto com direção de Rodrigo Pimenta e utilizando a técnica de computação gráfica tridimensional, a assinatura do programa segue nos mais diferentes contextos, de forma bem humorada e notoriamente bem produzida com acabamentos bastante refinados.

I love it when you stumble across something that proves yet again that no matter how often a technique is used, it’s the idea behind it that creates art. Stop motion is anything but new or underused, but with a vision and unique take from Charlotte Cornaton, “Vanitas” becomes an original entity unto itself.

An intense and amazing experimental short from Russian animation and experimental motion team Selfburning.

No words. Should’ve sent a poet. Some vintage-tinged graphic kick ass from U.K. designer Anthony Burrill.

Wow. This is two years old, but I had to post it. Commissioned by Denmark’s Ei’Kon, More Soon’s ‘Tales Of The Unexpected” is simply one of the best pieces of motion design I’ve ever seen. Ever.

Depois um de um tempinho sem posts, cá estou eu, apresentando mais um trabalho desenvolvido. Dessa vez um VT comercial para o “Seminário Mulher Total 2009″, realizado pelo Pra. Selma Cantagalli, da IEQ Carlos Prates em Belo Horizonte/MG.
Trabalhando com Adobe Premiere e After Effects CS3, e Sony Acid Pro7 para edição de áudio.
Seguindo o tema proposto, “Luz e Óleo”, o dourado da logo do ministério, utilizando um vídeo de água como fundo, trabalhando com text animate, scale, tracking e blur.
Para o áudio, a sonora de uma ministração da pastora, um BG e efeitos do pacote Pro Scores – Cinematic Music Design Tools, VideoCopilot.net.

“Keep the Fire Burning!” – 2010 is coming!

If you’ve ever been to our Library, one of the first things you might have noticed first is the two walls lined with our periodicals. Our magazine subscriptions are wide and varied, and they run the gamut from Fine Arts to Pop Culture and beyond. There are certainly a few magazines here I’d never seen before, but of all the ones I’ve become acquainted with, there are none quite like Stash.

You can tell this will be good.

Stash is, according to their website, “the planet’s only monthly video showcase of animation, VFX and motion graphics”. They stick true to their mission, and each DVD is packed with a whole bunch of videos short films, broadcast design, music videos and commercials from around the world. This wide range of subjects, artists and clients produces equal variety in styles and solutions. Best of all, each DVD is accompanied by a booklet which contains details for each of the pieces.

It’s definitely worth a peek. The variety is each issue is sure to inspire or at the very least, amuse.

Animatie gemaakt voor een kunstproject tijdens het Bevrijdingsfestival Overijssel, Zwolle.
De opdracht kwam van Niek van der Sprong evenementen. De opdracht werdt omgevormd
tot schoolopdracht waar een aantal mensen aan mee konden doen.

Dock Phillip Ellis, Jr. (March 11, 1945 – December 19, 2008) was a Major League Baseball player who pitched for the Pittsburgh Pirates, among other teams. His best season was 1971, when he won 19 games for the World Series champion Pirates and was the starting pitcher for the National League in the All-Star Game. However, he is perhaps best remembered for the claim that he threw a no-hitter in 1970 while under the influence of LSD.

As Ellis recounted it:
“I can only remember bits and pieces of the game. I was psyched. I had a feeling of euphoria. I was zeroed in on the (catcher’s) glove, but I didn’t hit the glove too much. I remember hitting a couple of batters and the bases were loaded two or three times. The ball was small sometimes, the ball was large sometimes, sometimes I saw the catcher, sometimes I didn’t. Sometimes I tried to stare the hitter down and throw while I was looking at him. I chewed my gum until it turned to powder. I started having a crazy idea in the fourth inning that Richard Nixon was the home plate umpire, and once I thought I was pitching a baseball to Jimi Hendrix, who to me was holding a guitar and swinging it over the plate. They say I had about three to four fielding chances. I remember diving out of the way of a ball I thought was a line drive. I jumped, but the ball wasn’t hit hard and never reached me.”

Described by creator Phantomcolor as being “interpreted visually as a succession of fluids one drinks at a lazy saturday morning breakfast”, “Squint” is a long, languid visualization set to the L’Ascenseur’s song of the same name. I have no idea where the breakfast thing comes in, but I don’t really care.

My fascination with colour theory has led me into studying not just the science of colours but also their associated anomalies: colour blindness, synesthesia, and to total blindness itself. Make no mistake: blind people see… just not with their eyes.

“Eros” is an incredible short by Tom Geraedts that explores this idea. Our senses are all indelibly connected to our thoughts, emotions, feelings, and all over senses. The lack of one actually augments all the others. So what does a blind person see through their mind’s eye when their brain starts to feel; the part of the brain that creates “sight” is still active, it’s the connection to the eyes that’s decided not to co-operate. With its normal route cut off, where does it detour to to visualize the world that’s being sensed around it?

I’m always into exploring the sort of cruel paradox of hiding brutal life lessons inside the guise of children’s things. There’s always a witch heating up an oven just around the corner…

Directed by Ian Stevenson and Luke Seomore, with audio by Graffiti 6, “Stare Into The Sun” delicately walks the fine line between absurdist children’s animation and inside joke. There’s just something about the hero character’s face that lets you know that, unicorn riding and rainbow hoping aside, this shit ain’t gonna end well. Be sure to watch it to the very end.

Staccato leaves and angry chlorophyll. Like plants calling out through static: “Foliage Shoal” is stunning, jarring work from Berlin-based animator and artist Martin Böttger.
