I have been wanting to make a motivational poster for them for awhile now, but couldn’t think of what to put. Then it occured to me how similar their on and off relationship was to Ross and Rachel from Friends.

So, today, it looks like Abe was here. I don’t exactly know why, but I was anticipating his presence while I was walking to school – I had a sort of excitement to see him today.

I don’t exactly know why, since, it’s not like, ya know, somethin’ excitin’ was gonna happen. No way.

Abe apparently knows now that I sometimes watch him from behind, and even more about what I think of him, due to my big-mouthed friend Fer-fer.

You know, if I had never met Abe, I would’ve never been completely sure of my bisexuality.

Today, instead of saying “fuckin’ bitch” I say falcon beach – this way, I have an excuse when someone thinks I’m cursing.

In honor of class tradition of naming everything by Mike’s name, one of my classmates, I came up with the Battle of Mike while in Social Studies class, which consisted of Mike betting someone else 5 bucks he’d untuck their shirt (tucked shirt is part of the dress code), because one of Mike’s idiosyncrasies is saying “5 bucks” when someone contradicts him, insinuating a bet. Hilarious kid, really.

But, anyway, I was also anticipating Trone (yeah, lets call him that) coming in also, because I need to give the guy my Facebook!

He’s been telling me ’bout how he recently got a Facebook, and I’ve been telling him about how mine was fucking deleted.

That’s just funny – I don’t get why the hell my account was deleted. Apparently Fuckbook noticed I was inactive for a while and shut me down. Then again, I guess they didn’t want to have their website be some kind of friggin’ clown car.

Really, I understand that. But I wish it weren’t the case that, to them, I was doing Facebook wrong by putting it off for later.

But I’ve always been a procrastinator. For example, the homework that I could’ve done for each day, Friday through Sunday – I left all of it till Sunday night. I didn’t finish it complete – being a sneaky mouse (I like cheese) I made sure I wasn’t caught dribbling the ink of my pen. Though, I didn’t sleep very well.

I woke up like I got knocked out with a date rape pill. Not that you can wave a date rip pill and club people in the head with it. It would be cool if it were that way, though.

But I sort’ah forced myself to stay awake by putting sticks in my eyelids as support.

I forgot to ask Abe about what he dressed up as for Halloween. If he had, I’d probably walk around with my hands in my pockets. So, instead, I just imagine crazy things he probably didn’t wear.

I believe Halloween is better than Christmas. We get better treats..and the girls are wearing their costumes, of course.

Talk about Facebook, I feel like making a book today. And maybe even writing a Gothic story in honor of Hallow’s Eve.

Christmas is kind of nice, too, though. Especially for Santa Claus. Since he’s always giving out presents, he gets a special one that Christmas night.

Right now I’m thinking the perfect theme song for Hallow’s Eve would be Sympathy for the Devil by The Rolling Stones, but I may as well change my mind later. You see, I’m fickle on certain matters and steadfast on other issues.

It ain’t what it used to be folks. In the spirit of Halloween if you want the crap scared out of you (and who doesn’t love that?) please click on the link to the right called “Shellter- The Movie.” It’s a horror flick filled with blood and gore that I am too wimpy to watch. I do not feel like working out today. I wanna cozy up on the couch and play with my cat and eat pasta.

The fun run I’m doing tomorrow is most likely going to be rained out. It’s supposed to start raining tomorrow in the early morning and not let up until Saturday. If tomorrow’s race was Serious Training I’d consider running in the rain, but it’s supposed to be FUN. And running in the rain is not fun.

I’d rather belly up with my running buddies at the nearest watering hole and watch all the chumps outside in the rain while I’m warm and toasty.

I finally finished that mound of paperwork that was weighing heavily on my desk and my conscience. If I can just get my ass to the gym I can lounge guilt-free all night long when I get back.

Ok, ok, ok, I’m going.

On la croyait morte et enterrée, reléguée à l’époque glorieuse de la 3e République et des grandes luttes politiques, réminiscence occasionnelle de quelques graphistes doués. Parmi les exemples célèbres, on trouve :

Force est de constater que l’affiche vit un nouvel âge d’or sur internet. On ne parle pas ici de n’importe quel type d’affiche mais des posters motivationnels. Initialement, ces travaux étaient cantonnés aux institutions publiques ou aux écoles. Ils visaient à faire passer des messages simples et percutants afin de sensibiliser les citoyens sur des sujets divers : aller voter, arrêter de fumer, ne pas donner d’argent aux allemands…

La pratique s’est par la suite invitée dans les entreprises. Il existe une vaste iconographie motivationnelle articulée autour des notions de compétitivité, de réussite, de la concentration… On les retrouve par exemple dans le bureau de Barney Stinson, personnage de la série How I met your Mother, symbole de la corporate attitude.

Les possibilités de remix offertes par le web ont fait éclore une tonne de parodies de ces affiches. Pure meme internet, on les trouvait au début sur des forums spécialisés, type 4chan. Elles ont depuis transcendé les frontières et on les croise partout, notamment sur les sites anglo-saxons.

Ça ne serait d’ailleurs pas étonnant qu’on en découvre des Ségolène ou Jean Sarkozy dans les semaines à venir.
