Unless you spend a lot of time reading the specifications and hard details of internet browsers, you

Unless you spend a lot of time reading the specifications and hard details of internet browsers, you probably don’t know what half of internet browser reviewers are talking about. When I read that Google Chrome uses the latest NVIDIA 8600 Graphics Unit, my head starts to explode a little. And the fact that Mozilla Firefox has 1 GB of RAM and a 1200x Processesing Core means nothing to me. What I would like to read is a user account of the performances by each of the major internet browsers. Well, lucky for you, that’s exactly what this is. So sit down and buckle up because this is my first forray into technological smartness stuff, and it’s sure to get ugly along the way.

Which is the best internet browser; Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, or Apple Safari?

Internet Explorer 8.0

You know, the only positive thing I can come up with is that Internet Explorer has great support. Probably the best of all of the browsers I used. However, 99% of people have never and will never use or care about Costumer Service and Support for their internet browser. So this is pretty much useless. I used IE 8 when it first came out, and as with all Internet Explorers, I was unimpressed. Right out of the box it was one of the slower browsers. When you begin to download toolbars, however, it gets really ugly. I was operating an election 2008 toolbar and a StumbleUpon Toolbar on each browser that had support for those applications and Internet Explorer took the add ons the worst. Pair that with the fact that as I type this the only browser that isn’t working of the four I have downloaded is Internet Explorer (It’s telling me I’m offline. Clearly that’s not the case.), and it’s obvious that it’s the weakest of the bunch. For slow loading and start times, not to mention poor stability, I give IE 8 2 of 5 stars.

Mozilla Firefox 3.0

Mozilla definitely pulled out all the stops with their Firefox browser’s third version. The newest version features better privacy features, quicker performance, and, coolest of all, new applications. The best thing to be said about Firefox is it’s vast expanse of applications. Like the iPhone, I can assure you “there’s an app for that”. Whether it be a theme or a weather widget, the mozilla.com has it all. Thankfully, Firefox can handle the extra applications. I’ve installed over 20 applications, and website loading time hasn’t been drastically increased. However, I’ve been experiencing some stability problems with the latest update to Firefox. The browser often crashes and leaves me having to restart and try and remember all of the tabs I have open since it doesn’t save your tabs by default. Definitely an inconvenience, but not a deal breaker. For the vast array of applications, Firefox still gets 3.5 of 5 stars.

Apple Safari

When Apple announced the release of the Safari browser to Windows-based computers, I was pumped. I’d heard all my Mac friends talk about how zippy Safari was for years, so of course I needed to be a part. Unfortunately, like most things, Safari must work best in its home environment because I was not all that impressed. Though Safari has the second best start-up time, it’s all a big scam. Once the window starts up the browser stalls for 3 to 4 seconds then loads. Though Safari was the second most stable browser in my tests, the 3 to 4 second delay between page loads is extremely annoying. When you’re running several tabs, that adds many minutes on to your browsing experience. And quite frankly, Safari doesn’t have the extra features to justify the slow performance. For that I give it 2.5 of 5 Stars.

Google Chrome

Ahhh Google, you amaze me. As if Google wasn’t cool enough already, they release a killer internet browser that blew the competition out of the water. Once I finally got around to downloading Chrome, I found that it was what I’d always looked for in an internet browser. The window pops up immediately after clicking the icon, and the home page loads quickly after. It amazes how Chrome manages to open and load so much faster than the other browsers when they are all operating on the same wireless network. Each time I click a link or load a page, I’m amazed by the speed of Chrome. I’m so amazed, in fact, that nearly every time I get the chance I tell my friends and colleagues to download Chrome. It’s allowed me to be so much productive when on the internet because it doesn’t have the unstableness of Fireforx, the stalling of Safari, or the generally crapiness of Internet Explorer. For being far superior to anything I’ve ever seen, I give a perfect score of 5 out of 5 Stars.

Final Score:

Google Chrome: 5 out of 5

Mozilla Firefox: 3.5 out of 5

Apple Safari: 2.5 out of 5

Internet Explorer 2.5 out of 5

I found out last night when I checked to see if there were any more add-on updates for the new Mozilla FireFox 3.5 and there was to one of my favourite FireFox theme PitchDark. So what does that mean..well it means that now after the update to version (3.5.0) of PitchDark now it is compatible with the new version of Mozilla FireFox 3.5. Way to go people now all I need is my RedShift V4 theme and then I will be golden.

If anyone has any FireFox 3.5 themes that they would recommend let me know via comment or e-mail @ computer.savvy@hotmail.com

jalanin Firefox 3, di address bar/url bar, ketik about:config, ntar muncul gambar kaya gini:

kemudian klik aja “I’ll be careful, I Promise!“, abis tu langsung ke menu utama “about:config“, trus di bagian filter tuliskan “browser.urlbar.matchOnlyTyped“, kemudian ubah nilai false menjadi “True“, seperti gambar dibawah ini.

buat nge-bikin disable permanen ubah nilai “browser.urlbar.maxRichResults” ke 0 (zero).

Dear Readers,

(Last Update Dec 13 2008 @ 9:59pm EST)

I have just tested the new…but very EXPERIMENTAL FIREFOX REDSHIFT V2 theme…and even thou it looks nice…it has a long way to go…

And this is not by the real RedShift maker by C.Nicks….it is a rip off

It needs to fix tabbing and some of the menus..the dictionary pretty much does not work..and your Right click menu..is way to long..so you can’t really find what you’ re looking for…

This is the link https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/9959

To get access to this theme you must register…at FireFox…just follow the instructions…

Right now it is still very unstable..and need quite a bit of tweaking before I will re-load this theme and keep it as my over all FireFox 3 theme..but good work..we all have been waiting a long time..

And we hop to see the final product in the very near future…

**I’ll keep my on this it as it develops..and keep you guys posted..

Hy all this is Ghost….and we have been getting a lot of e-mails asking us about if FireFox 3 integrated Virus scan is effective….so this is what I came up with…

Q: Does FireFox 3 Virus Scan Really Work ?

A: The only thing are tests showed is it slowed downloading the files…and in no way did it warn or detect any viruses , Spyware , Adware….yes there is don’t download from unsafe sources and make sure it is authorized Microsoft comes up every once and a while…..and the worse thing is that you apparently can’t turn it off from….my quick run down….the FireFox options….

Hope that clears up the question,

Firefox supports tabbed browsing, which allows users to open multiple pages in the same window. This feature was carried over from the Mozilla Application Suite, which in turn had borrowed the feature from the popular MultiZilla extension for Mozilla.

Firefox also permits the “homepage” to be a list of URLs delimited with vertical bars (|), which are automatically opened in separate tabs, rather than a single page.

Firefox 3 supports more tabbed browsing features, including a “tab overflow” solution that keeps the user’s tabs easily accessible when they would otherwise become illegible, “session store” which lets the user keep the opened tabs across the restarts, an “undo close tab” feature, as well as others.

New features for end users

User experience

Easier password management. An information bar at the top of the browser window now appears to allow you to save passwords after a successful login.

Simplified add-on installation. You can now install extensions from third-party download sites in fewer clicks, thanks to the removal of the add-on download site whitelist.

New Download Manager. The download manager makes it easier to locate your downloaded files.

Resumable downloads. You can now resume downloads after restarting the browser or resetting your network connection.

Full page zoom. From the View menu and using keyboard shortcuts, you can now zoom in and out on the content of entire pages — this scales not just the text but the layout and images as well.

Tab scrolling and quickmenu. Tabs are easier to locate with the new tab scrolling and tab quickmenu features.

Save what you were doing. Firefox 3 prompts you to see if you’d like to save your current tabs when you exit Firefox.

Optimized Open in Tabs behavior. Opening a folder of bookmarks in tabs now appends the new tabs instead of replacing the existing ones.

Easier to resize location and search bars. You can now easily resize the location and search bars using a simple resize handle between them.

Text selection improvements. You can now select multiple ranges of text using the Control (Command on Macintosh) key. Double-clicking and dragging now selects in “word-by-word” mode. Triple-clicking selects an entire paragraph.

Find toolbar. The Find toolbar now opens with the current selection.

Plugin management. Users can now disable individual plugins in the Add-on Manager.

Integration with Windows Vista. Firefox’s menus now display using Vista’s native theme.

Integration with Mac OS X. Firefox now supports Growl for notifications of completed downloads and available updates.

Star button. The new star button in the location bar lets you quickly add a new bookmark with a single click. A second click lets you file and tag your new bookmark.

Tags. You can now associate keywords with your bookmarks to easily sort them by topic.

Location bar and auto-complete. Type the title or tag of a page in the location bar to quickly find the site you were looking for in your history and bookmarks. Favicons, bookmark, and tag indicators help you see where the results are coming from.

Smart Bookmarks folder. Firefox’s new Smart Bookmarks folder offers quick access to your recently bookmarked and tagged places, as well as pages you visit frequently.

Bookmarks and History Organizer. The new unified bookmarks and history organizer lets you easily search your history and bookmarks with multiple views and smart folders for saving your frequent searches.

Web-based protocol handlers. Web applications, such as your favorite web mail provider, can now be used instead of desktop applications for handling
mailto:
links from other sites. Similar support is provided for other protocols as well. (Note that web applications do have to register themselves with Firefox before this will work.)

Easy to use Download Actions. A new Applications preferences pane provides an improved user interface for configuring handlers for various file types and protocol schemes.

Improved look and feel. Graphics and font handling have been improved to make web sites look better on your screen, including sharper text rendering and better support for fonts with ligatures and complex scripts. In addition, Mac and Linux (Gnome) users will find that Firefox feels more like a native application for their platform than ever, with a new, native, look and feel.

Color management support. By setting the
gfx.color_management.enabled
preference in
[about:config]
, you can ask Firefox to use the color profiles embedded in images to adjust the colors to match your computer’s display.

Offline support. Web applications can take advantage of new features to support being used even when you don’t have an Internet connection.

Security and privacy

One-click site information. Want to know more about the site you’re visiting? Click the site’s icon in the location bar to see who owns it. Identify information is prominently displayed and easier than ever to understand.

Malware protection. Firefox 3 warns you if you arrive at a web site that is known to install viruses, spyware, trojans, or other dangerous software (known as malware).

Web forgery protection enhanced. Now when you visit a page that’s suspected of being a forgery, you’re shown a special page instead of the contents of the page with a warning.

Easier to understand SSL errors. The errors presented when an invalid SSL certificate is encountered have been clarified to make it easier to understand what the problem is.

Out-of-date add-on protection. Firefox 3 now automatically checks add-on and plugin versions and disables older, insecure versions.

Secure add-on updates. Add-on update security has been improved by disallowing add-ons that use an insecure update mechanism.

Anti-virus integration. Firefox 3 now informs anti-virus software when executable files are downloaded.

Windows Vista parental controls support. Firefox 3 supports the Vista system-wide parental control setting for disabling file downloads.

Performance

Reliability. Firefox 3 now stores bookmarks, history, cookies, and preferences in a transactionally secure database format. This means your data is protected against loss even if your system crashes.

Speed. Firefox 3 has gotten a performance boost by completely replacing the part of the software that handles drawing to your screen, as well as to how page layout work is handled.

Memory use reduced. Firefox 3 is more memory efficient than ever, with over 300 memory “leak” bugs fixed and new features to help automatically locate and dispose of leaked memory blocks.

Google Chrome vs. Mozilla Firefox 3 No llegamos al par de días desde que Google lanzó la primera bet

Google Chrome vs. Mozilla Firefox 3

I upgraded my internet browser with firefox 3 just now. I haven’t find something very special about it. I like the classic theme better than the new one. when I launch it for the first time, it says that it needs a compatible Java Console for an add-on that I installed. I forgot to keep my bookmarked page when I install it, so they are all gone! So, I got a bad first impression with this new upgrade. but I hope it will change after a couple of days.

Update: it’s all solved, firefox 3 is the best browser for me so far, salut!

I just downloaded the most recent version of Mozilla Firefox. It is so cool! I LOVE it! I love al

I just downloaded the most recent version of Mozilla Firefox. It is so cool! I LOVE it! I love all the applications and add-ons you can get. One that I’m particularly enjoying is the Yoono! Add-on. It allows you to see all your friends on various network sites such as Twitter, Facebook and also various IM installations. You can have it as a sidebar or hide it until you’re ready to see it and use it. One thing you can do with Yoono! is share pictures, websites by just dragging and dropping. You can even share your Bookmarked websites with friends. So cool!!! Just thought I’d share my new toy!

Have a great day!
