OPEN FIREFOX AND FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS :

1.Type “about:config” into the address bar and hit return. Scroll down and look for the following entries:

network.http.pipelining network.http.proxy.pipelining network.http.pipelining.maxrequests

Normally the browser will make one request to a web page at a time. When you enable pipelining it will make several at once, which really speeds up page loading.

2. Alter the entries as follows:

Set “network.http.pipelining” to “true”

Set “network.http.proxy.pipelining” to “true”

Set “network.http.pipelining.maxrequests” to some number like 30. This means it will make 30 requests at once.

3. Lastly right-click anywhere and select New-> Integer. Name it “nglayout.initialpaint.delay” and set its value to “0″. This value is the amount of time the browser waits before it acts on information it receives.

De ce porneste greu Mozzila Firefox? Primul raspuns ar fi ca nu e suficienta memorie RAM. Tu totusi ai destula memorie si parca tot nu porneste atat de repede pe cat ai vrea.

Desi consider in momentul de fata Mozilla Firefox 3.5 ca fiind cel mai bun browser, nu pot sa zic ca nu ma enerveaza ca nu porneste le fel de repede ca Google Chrome. Totusi, ceea ce contribuie la aceasta latenta in pornire este faptul ca in urma instalarii implicite de fiecare data cand pornesti browserul, si in prealabil el a gasit update-uri pentru extensiile sale, te intreaba daca vrei sa le instalezi sau sa sari peste pasul asta. “Ma lasi!! Te anunt eu cand vreau sa instalez ceva!” Asta ingrauneaza procesul de start foarte mult.
Cum putem dezactiva optiunea de a verifica mereu daca exista update-uri pentru extensii sau pentru browser in sine?
Accesam: “Tools->Options->Advanced” si aici dam click pe tabul de “Update” (Fig.1). Implicit toate checkboxurile de sus sunt completate. Avem mai multe optiuni:

• le putem dezactiva pe toate
• putem dezactiva doar verificarea pentru update-uri de Firefox
• putem dezactiva doar verificarea pentru update-uri de extensii

In cazul in care nu va faceti un obicei cel putin lunar din a verifica daca exista update-uri pentru Firefox (cand zic pentru Firefox nu ma refer si la extensii) ar trebui sa lasati casuta corespunzatoare completata. Pe celelalte 2 le puteti goli. In acest moment browser-ul nu va verifica periodic existenta update-urilor si nu va va mai stresa de fiecare data cand porneste.

Totusi mentinerea update-urilor la zi este utila. Ar trebui ca o data pe luna sa verificati manual existenta lor. Nu ia mai mult de 5 minute. Iata mai jos cum puteti face asta:

• in cazul in care ati dezactivat verificarea automata pentru update-uri de Firefox accesati: “Help->Check For Updates”
• in cazul in care ati dezactivat verificarea automata pentru update-uri de extensii accesati: “Tools->Add-ons” si apoi click in dreapta jos pe “Find Updates”.

Acestia sunt pasii care trebuie urmati. Sigur nu veti mai fi stresati cu mesaje de pornire nedorite.

En Mozilla wiki se publicó un articulo sobre el posible diseño que tendría el firefox 3.7. Aunque dijeron que este no será el prototipo difinitivo es una sopresa ver algunos cambios notables en el navegador.

Scriu acest articol datorită faptului că mi-am instalat şi eu Google Chrome(pentru că Firefox deja mă enerva deoarece rula foarte incet).La prima impresie pare foarte atrăgator cu un design plăcut(chiar dacă este albastru).Ce nu imi place este faptul că atunci când intru în Chorme imi salvează toate paginile închise recent şi history-ul..eh găsesc eu până la urmă de unde să le dezactivez..

Ce să vă mai spun..instalaţi-l cu incredere pentru că merită.

Update:Am găsit de unde să rezolv problema cu historyul.

    Foi lançado o nova atualização do mozzila ontem a tarde com varios recusos novos como roda o video direto do navegador sem precisa salvar no computador.
  Tudo se copia nada se inveta ,o browser safira e foi passado pelo IE 8 agora no mozzila o navegador private se vc ativar esse opção ele não gravara seu historico e nem suas senhas e tambem tem opção de apaga somente o historico de uma hora ou do dia somente.
Ele ta disponivel em 70 linguas inclusive em portugues

Well seems today is not really my day… for some reason my fav  browser, Opera isn’t working and claims it has some corrupt file yeah right 3 hours ago  when i left home it was still working properly and i don’t like either IE and not to talk about Firefox…i hate to write blogs or to browse forums from Firefox but now i will have to use  it until i will get that damn Opera work. I’m gonna miss all my feeds

In your location bar, type about:config

-  In the filter bar type network.http.pipelining

Normally it says ” false ” under value field , Double click it so it becomes ” true “.

- In the filter bar again and type network.http.pipelining.maxrequests

Default it says 4 under value field and you need to change it to 8

- Go to the filter bar again and type network.http.proxy.pipelining

Normally it says ” false ” under value field , Double click it so it becomes ” true “.

- Go to the filter bar again and type network.dns.disableIPv6

Normally it says ” false ” under value field , Double click it so it becomes ” true “.

- Go to the filter bar again and type plugin.expose_full_path

Normally it says ” false ” under value field , Double click it so it becomes ” true “.

- Now you need to Create new Preference name with interger value for this got to Right click -> New -> Integer

Here you need to type nglayout.initialpaint.delay and click ok

Now you need to enter 0 in value filed and click ok

- Now you need to Create one more Preference name with interger value for this got to Right click -> New -> Integer

Here you need to type content.notify.backoffcount and click ok

Now you need to enter 5 in value filed and click ok

- Now you need to Create one more Preference name with interger value for this got to Right click -> New -> Integer
