Voilà plus d’un mois que je ne pouvais plus me connecter ni à MSN via Pidgin ni à ma boite hotmail.
Cela coïncidait avec la mise en place d’un réseau filaire à la maison…bizarre…

J’ai résolu le problème de pidgin avec le paquet msn-pecan disponible dans les dépôts universe sous Ubuntu.
La boite Hotmail restant inaccessible, j’ai finalement trouvé la solution en changeant la valeur MTU

Deux solutions s’offrent à vous :

Version Graphique sous Ubuntu 9.10 :

Clic droit sur l’icône réseau, puis modification des connexions

puis sous l’onglet filaire clic sur eth0 puis modifier

Et changez la valeur MTU à 1492

Version en ligne de commande :

sudo ifconfig eth0 mtu 1492

 

Voilà les choses devrait rentrer dans l’ordre

Io tra MSN, ICQ, Skype, MSN, YahooMessenger dovrei tenere aperti 5 programmi… per non parlare della mail personale, quella del blog, LinkedIn e Facebook… ‘na faticaccia no?

Ed ecco che l’altro giorno “scopro” Digsby… mi “controlla” le varie mail e funge da IM multiprotocollo per i vari programmi di IM (eccetto Skype… almeno per ora)…

…poi controlla LinkedIn e facebook e un po’ di altre cose che non necessariamente utilizzo…

Comodissimo per i vari popup di avviso dei messaggi ma anche dei cambi di stato di FB o di nuovo foto inserite dai contatti…

La feature mooooolto comoda è che una volta installato su un PC e creato l’account su Digsby (a cui associare tutti gli altri) se per esempio sono in giro con il portatile ed installo Digsby lì… TAAAAAC automaticamente prende tutte le impostazioni che avevo già impostato sul PC di casa… in questo modo uno non si deve nemmeno più preoccupare di ricordarsi 10k password… ne basta una… uella di Digsby!

Personalmente mi son trovato a disabilitare un po’ di funzioni che risultavano “leggermente” invasive durante l’utilizzo normale: ridotto all’osso i popup e gli avvisi sonori in pratica] ma devo dire che sono rimasto piacevolmente impressionato dal programmino… Bhé provatelo anche voi no?

Pero si mantenemos presionado  ” Alt ” mientras tecleas 0160 y sueltas “Alt” se creara un espacio blanco que este si nos permitira poner como nickname.

Hoje fiz um excercício mental pra lembrar e tentar me manter distante do tema que quero tratar agora. Tudo bem que você deve estar de saco cheio do que a mídia coloca como tragédia que abalou Santa Catarina. Foi bem essa a manchete que, por exemplo, apareceu no Jornal Nacional. O Bonner – de quem já me tornei seguidor no twitter, mesmo com suas bobagens, diga-se de passagem – noticiou como mais uma matéria, apenas.

Tudo bem, defensor do casal 20 da Globo. Eu também lembro de algumas passagens televisivas. sei que, há um ano, ele sobrevoava com o helicóptero da RBS o morro do Baú, em Ilhota, para mostrar o desastre que se abateu sobre o Vale do Itajaí, em 2008. Também me recordo que a Ana Maria Braga apresentou o programa das margens do rio Itajaí-açú, em Blumenau, e até desfilou com o uniforme dos militares.

Mas quem deles foi para o Centro de Eventos, no ano passado, separar roupas, comida, colchões, material de limpeza… ? E entregar isso tudo para a população, carente de tudo naquele momento, foi de doer qualquer coração, mesmo os mais experimentados naquelas circunstâncias.

É fácil – ou parece, pelo menos – falar de como a água começou a acumular na calçada da casa e virar poça e virar córrego e entrar na sua residência. E você colocar um pano para reter o líquido, que aumentava e tomava conta de tudo. Agora, imagine isso em todas as casas que você pela janela do quarto ou da sala. Assim que consegui regular o caos psicológico e a realidade revirada pela enchente, é que tomei fôlego para ir ao Centro de Eventos de Itajaí, um dos tantos espaços de triagem montados nas cidades atingidas. Fui apenas mais um no meio de tanta gente. Foi pouco o meu trabalho, eu sei. Mas quando percebi que vários dos amigos que tinha chamado pelo MSN, responderam positivamente, enfim respirei aliviado.

Mais ainda: quando coloquei o lenço escoteiro e percebi que ele ajudava e era mais que um crachá para adentrar ao pavilhão de depósito, a felicidade foi ainda maior. Saber que não era o único ali, me reconfortou. Vários e tantos escoteiros ou antigos membros do movimento ali estavam também.

Até um ex-pioneiro, vindo do oeste, que veio fazer faculdade em Itajaí e trouxe consigo o lenço do grupo. Não lembro mais o nome, a faculdade ou o grupo a que pertencia, mas isso pouco importa. O melhor é que ele e seus amigos de turma estavam ali, ajudando. Não tinham nenhum conhecido que morasse na cidade. Tinham apenas o sentimento de solidariedade.

A enchente de Itajaí e todo o Vale demorou a terminar. Quatro a cinco dias - dependendo da região – para que as águas baixassem. Cinco para que a energia elétrica se reestabelecesse. Seis a oito para que água potável estivesse mais uma vez nas torneiras. Um ano para que as obras de reconstrução do porto de Itajaí estivessem se encaminhando. A enchente de Itajaí e todo o Vale nunca terminou na mente de quem viu gente morrer. Corpos de gente soterrada, afogada, de fome, de doenças, sem sonhos, sem roupas, sem casa, sem esperanças.

Os berços 1 e 2 do porto de Itajaí estão em obras e a expectativa da prefeitura é que fiquem prontos em março de 2010

Quinze dias depois, a Prefeitura colocou seus funcionários comissionados para visitar casa a casa e averiguar a situação e providenciar a distribuição de alimentos, roupas e colchões. A união de lideranças regionais foi crucial para trazer dinheiro para os municípios e seus flagelados. Nunca foi o suficiente. E acredito que nunca será. Vidas inteiras não se reconstroem dessa forma. Se leva uma vida inteira pra tentar colocar tudo no lugar.

A Advocacia-Geral da União – AGU manteve a multa aplicada pelo Ibama na Operação Boi Pirata II e a apreensão de 700 bois do pecuarista Sílvio Adriano Gonçalves Queirós, que ocupa área de preservação ambiental da Floresta Nacional do Jamanxim, no município de Novo Progresso (PA).

A operação foi realizada para coibir a criação de gado em áreas desmatadas e as queimadas ilegais na Amazônia, sobretudo na Floresta Nacional do Jamanxim. O gado apreendido, doado ao Ministério do Desenvolvimento Social, será efetivamente destinado aos programas sociais do governo.

A Procuradoria Federal Especializada junto ao Ibama – PFE/Ibama conseguiu, no Tribunal Regional Federal da 1ª Região – TRF1, suspender a decisão da Justiça Federal de Santarém, favorável ao pecuarista, que suspendia a multa e permitia a continuidade da exploração da área de preservação ambiental.

A PFE/Ibama recorreu contra a liminar de primeira instância no TRF, que acolheu os argumentos de que a multa e a Operação Boi Pirata buscam coibir o desmatamento de áreas de preservação na Amazônia, considerado crime ambiental.

Agora, os visitantes vão contar com a proteção de três policiais da Companhia de Polícia Militar Ambiental – CPMA, que passarão a prestar apoio aos visitantes durante todo o horário de visitação, das 6h às 16h, fazendo o monitoramento em motocicletas das trilhas da Capivara e Cristal Água, além das piscinas e dos estacionamentos.

A abertura das trilhas ocorre dias antes do aniversário de 48 anos do Parque Nacional de Brasília, que será comemorado no próximo dia 29. Apesar de todos os problemas de uma unidade de conservação instalada no meio urbano, o parque tem muito o que comemorar. Sua área protegida de 42 mil hectares de cerrado resiste bravamente a ameaças de todos os tipos.

How many Indians have forgotten about the attacks on north Indians from MNS [Maharashtra Navnirman Sena]  just about a year ago? And what happened after that – just a little arrest and court drama, and all those involved (who were arrested) got released withing months. The proud leader of the group – Raj Thackeray [sorry if the last name's wrong], surrenders, has a trial and is released back on bail.

It’s only a matter of shame for every true Indian, that the law that was made to protect the interests of the Indians, is no longer [if ever] strong enough. A country where we can’t even protect the media, the very people who help bring out the public opinion that is the base of ANY democracy – can we expect public safety. From the past till now, we have numerous examples of incidents which have humiliated the constitution. I think there is something called “contempt of court” and I believe there is something of same nature for the constitution as well. Isn’t it? Well, if there is, then how long does it take for the Indian law to take action against those who insult the constitution?

All I want to say here, is that those who have the power to control the violation of law and order, should swing into action no matter who does the violation. Otherwise, I believe that every dream we have of being an international super power, or a great economy, or everything else of that nature – is going to change into a nightmare where we’d be lucky enough to be in the position we were back in the uncivilized times.

I know I’m not doing anything to stop it either, and that possibly makes me incapacitated to make any comments on these things. But still I’m trying my bit to make a change, something I can do at the moment.

On another, more interesting note, I was driving home from school the other day, and heard something that, while I probably should have known, completely shocked me. Makeup and other kinds of beauty products are one of the most shoplifted items in 2009.

The reason why? Because of the ailing economy, according to MSN, people feel the need to “maintain a quality of life they can no longer afford” (said by Bruce Cromley of TIME magazine)

It’s a shame, really.

Along with makeup, infant formula; 50-pack aspirin; razors; pregnancy tests and Primatene, an asthma OTC medication.
