This is more of a memory than a typical fantasy.

Within a few months of meeting my future husband, I arranged my work schedule so I could have three to four days a week off. Since he lived 150 miles away, this allowed me to visit him for half the week.

During these visits we played games (among other things). One of these games was Magic: the Gathering, a collectible card game in which each player uses their cards to try to reduce the opponent’s life score from twenty to zero. Being horny, we soon began playing strip Magic. I forget the rules, but I suspect whoever lost a match lost a garment. Once naked, a player could then wager a forfeit, meaning the winner got the loser to perform a sexual favor. Now that’s the kind of game everyone wins!

I’m not usually one to promote Walmart, since it is a huge corporate behemoth (one with shroud, indestructibility, and, in addition, it can’t be countered), however, I’m finding it to be a place to at least check out for Magic products and low prices.   Despite the reports I had heard of low quantity of M10 in stock elsewhere over the summer, my local Walmarts had plenty of boosters, precon decks, and fat packs (and still do).  Likewise with Zendikar.

The big plus for the major retailer, however, is MSRP prices.  Yesterday, for instance, Walmart had five Garruk vs Liliana Duel Deck packages on the shelf, all at $19.98 (which is selling on Star City Games for $29.99).   Walmart can’t raise a product’s price based on demand the way local hobby shops and niche online retailers can, so it might behoove you to check out that section of Walmart (usually near the tobacco products for whatever marketing reason I can’t fathom) where they have baseball, Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh!, MapleStory,  Chaotic, and Magic cards (along with an assortment of other games and trading cards).  For

Walmart is also an interesting place to check out the variety of other Magic products you might find there.  You’ll find Fat Packs from recent sets.  Six card boosters from the most recent set (which don’t really seem worth the $1.98).  And then there is a wide assortment of big box retail repacks.  Some were a random assortment of cards from across a range of sets in a blister pack.  From what I understand, they are predominantly commons with a few uncommons, and there’s a good chance you’ll get a bunch of cards from say, Darksteel, and then some random others.  Other repacks were comprised of three boosters (which appeared to be an Eventide, an Unhinged, and a third that I couldn’t quite make out).  And then there were repacks that included an Unhinged booster and an assortment of random cards.  Then, there are also older things you can purchase.  For some reason there was a large quantity of Dissension precon decks, particularly the Azorious Ascendant deck.  Go figure.

On the flipside, I’ve found that Target seems to carry very little stock, even of current Magic products (while the amount of Yu-Gi-Oh! and Pokemon is absurd).

More bang for your buck.  That’s what you’ll get here.

• Omnimagic – comunitatea din Bucuresti, organizeaza concursuri saptamanale si anuale – site-ul va fi realizat ca o extensie a acestuia
• Deckmaster – comunitatea din Timisoara

Dorinta noastra nu este de a concura cu aceste site-uri ci de a conlucra.

Nachdem wir nun schon  vortgeschrittene Kentnisse bei  Magic haben dachte ich mir das es an der Zeit wäre einen kleinen Blog zu erstellen auf dem wir uns austauschen können.

Ich dachte hierbei an mehrer Dinge die uns durch diesen Blog das Magic-Leben erleichtern würde.

1.Wir können uns verabreden zum  Zocken / Machen vielleicht sogar das eine oder andere mal einen Termin unter einem speziellen Motto aus (z.b “Magicabend mit kleinem Turnier”).

2.Hier kann jeder seine eigenen Decks veröffentlichen, neue Ideen könnten besprochen werden.

3.Neue geile Karten die wir gekauft/gebostert haben können hier gezeigt werden

4.Termine für z.b Magic oder Spielemessen die in unserer Nähe sind könnten aufgeführt werden.

Ihr seht es gibt viele Punkte die wir über einen Blog besprechen könnten.
Unter anderem ist es hier sehr schön möglich -( siehe Punkt 2.) -sich selber ein Deck in einem “Artikel” zu erstellen, wobei ihr dann Deckideen nicht mehr auf ein “Blatt Papier”, oder in einem “Word-Dok ” speichern müsst.

In einem Artikel den ihr hier erstellt könnt ihr dann sehr schön und übersichtlich eine Deckstrategie zusammenstellen, wobei einzelne Karten hier direkt per Link eigefügt werden können damit man später, direkt auf die dazugehörigen Unterseiten -wo die “besagten Karten” veröffentlich sind- zugreifen kann.

Dies erleichtert meiner Meinung nach das zusammenbauen eines Decks ungemein, denn es entsteht eine bessere Übersicht !
