An inside source has informed me that Gina Loudon (R), primary candidate for State Senate District 7, has clinched the MSTA (Missouri State Teachers Association) endorsement.  This is not a surprise to Gina, as she is a University level instructor and a leading advocate for better schools.  The surprise comes when you find her leading opponent, Rep Jane Cunningham (R), is the Chairman of the Education Committee.

The third horse in the race, Rep. Neal St. Onge (R), has secured the liberal union support of the AFL-CIO.  It is yet to be seen if this tactic will help in a Republican primary.
