My life in inside out and upside down at the moment. But I wanted to share this gorgeous photo of Placebo. It was taken after they won the MTV Europe award for Best Alternative Act. I know that they probably think that awards from MTV are pretty much bollocks, but the look on their faces, and the videos of the taking the piss out of the whole things are priceless. And I really do think that they are happy to have recieved some recognition, ‘After fifteen years’. What can I say, look at them, they’re amazing and adorable. Plus, Stefan’s suit is beyond amazing.

Yep Kristen, you heard us right! We’re dazzled by you. Unbelievable, I know. Nevertheless it’s true. This time we’re not gonna hate on you or say anything bad because there are already about 8 million people out there doing that you’re obviously trying to improve. Seems you read our post a few days ago and realized your life really isn’t that bad. We’re glad you seem to like our blog and take our advice seriously. Because you should! Zelda and I are both older than you (well, not that much but whatever…) and therefor also more experienced. And as if that wasn’t enough to trust us already I can assure you we only want the very best for you.

Yeah, look like you belong there

Well, maybe, maybe not… but at least we can’t stand to see you standing next to Rob looking all miserable. We want you to look awesome next to him so you don’t spoil the picture. We want you to look as if you belong there in between Taylor and Rob. So it’s great you decided to be a bit more cheerful now. You were spotted dressed up and smiling, answering countless questions without getting completely annoyed. And you rocked your grown out mullet btw! Just saying… Ok, perhaps you pushed it a bit too far. Those pics of  the two of you holding hands while smiling at each other so effing happy, I don’t know if I can handle that. I’d rather prefer Rob holding my hand. Unfortunately I couldn’t be there that evening so thanks for occupying my spot. Don’t worry, I’ll be back as soon as I can and then you’ll be able to hang out with all your other friends again.

Another thing I noticed: You used to wear nothing but your worn out converse even for all those award shows. But now you’re wearing high-heels from time to time. Great ones, like Louboutins or something. Awesome foot-wear. We could be friends and share shoes. I love Loubous and Manolos as well, it’s just that unfortunately I’m not rich enough to buy them. I would even give you my old beloved chucks. Honestly, I would!
So all in all it was a fascinating experience for Zelda and me to see you like that! Happy, patient, nice to the interviewers and fans, looking beautiful for all the press stuff you had to do because of New Moon… A few months ago Zelda couldn’t even remember your name and kept calling you Kirsten Dunst all the time just because Kirsten and Kristen are such similar names (True story!). From now on be assured she won’t ever make that mistake again! Cause you made quite an impression on us. Honestly, we’re proud of you. It’s fantabulous you finally realized it girl:

For those of you who do not know, it ’s worth while to pay attention to the Award-winning, Georgian-born, London-based fashion designer David Koma.

He’s fairly new to the scene (he recently completed his MA) from the world-renowned Central Saint Martins, but his line is seems to be an ode to post-punk futurism with chains, tubes and strong shapes. His AW 2009/2010 will be stocked in Browns Focus.

Beyonce has been quite quick to catch on this one, as you can see. She carries the dress as a confident woman with curves should at the MTV Awards last night:

The beautiful 28 year old singer was one of the artists who turned hot the scene in Germany, appearing on stage in a sexy red suit.

Beyonce promoted her single “Sweet Dreams” and, as you can see in the picture above, she charmed those present at the event with dance moves meant to make people dream.

According to Michael Jackson’s dermatologist and friend Arnold Klein, the reason why kids could describe the way Michael penis looked was because he liked other people to see him urinate. He did it in a plastic cup in a full waiting room at the doctor and also apparently for children to see. What a freak.

Singer Rihanna gave her first interview after her beat-down and I think she did great. I totally believe what she said about first still being so full of love for Chris Brown that she went back and later realizing that she is a role-model for many girls and it would be selfish to think only about her own love. Don’t react off of love, eff love” is her message. 

Kevin Federline becomes a dad for the 5th time, with 3 different woman. What a class act huh. Well ,maybe by the time his new girlfriend is 9 months pregnant her belly is bigger then his!

Amy Winehouse is going for the full extreme makeover!!. First the fake tits, now also plumped lips and what looks like some plumping in the face. Well, whatever she is doing she looks a lot better than before, so keep on going.

The Oscar hosts this year will be Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin. Well, after last years Hugh Jackman and rumored hosts Stephen Colbert and Neil Patrick Harris ,this seems like a boring and in my eyes disappointing choice.

The big winner of the MTV European Music Awards was Beyonce winning 3 awards for best singer, best song “Halo” and best clip “Single Ladies.” Lady Gaga won for best newcomer. Not a surprise but very deserved nonetheless. Eminem winning for best male singer though????

Beyoncé e Taylor Swift

Os European Music Awards foram entregues, e é talvez a primeira vez em que os vencedores foram quase na sua totalidade os mesmos em que eu votaria.

Tokio Hotel como melhor banda, não está certamente nessa lista. Já Beyoncé ganhou o prémio como melhor artista feminina, não só pelo seu talento, mas pela excelente prestação da produtora, na publicidade que fez á artista. Beyoncé foi a grande vencedora da noite, e o prémio que mais mereceu foi sem dúvida o prémio de melhor música, que apesar de eu não ser fã da artista, considero que “Halo”, é das músicas mais agradáveis de ouvir do momento.
Como melhor banda alternativa, Paramore seria também um vencedor á altura, mas os Placebo são mais influentes, e arrecadaram o prémio.
Pixie Lott foi levada ao colo até os tops mundiais, e é agora uma referência do Soul, arrecadou um prémio que também poderia pertencer a The Veronicas, La Roux, e os agora bastante ouvidos Metro Station. E por fim, mas não menos importantes, as 3 melhores bandas actuais, Linkin Park, Green Day, e U2, têm tido performances exemplares, e como tal merecem os prémios respectivos.

Em todas as categorias, existiam grandes nomes que mereciam tanto o prémio como os vencedores, mas infelizmente só pode existir um vencedor por categoria, o que não retira nem qualidade, nem nome aos que ficaram para trás. Falo de Cold Play, The Veronicas, Muse, Kings of Leon, Katy Perry, Taylor Swift, The Killers, Paramore, Foo Fighters, entre outros…

Hungarian band The KOLIN make wonderful indie pop music, they have a great style and make funny videos. The band is very successful in their home country and just got a nomination for Best Hungarian Act for the MTV European Music Awards. The award show takes place in Berlin on the 5th of November 2009.

This hopefully will help to spread the news what a great band they are. The 3 guys formed the band in 2007 in Budapest and  have one album out, called “Yell Into The Kazoo” available on iTunes or amazon.
