As you know by now, I am not fun of complicated shoes, and even less now that I am a mother.

Summer’s finally here and you’re ready for a day at the beach, but oh, what to wear? Retro swimwear is in this season! So, does that mean it’s time to pull out your grandmother’s swimsuit from her glory days? Absolutely not! There are plenty of vintage-inspired swimsuits on the market right now, and they are nothing but cute.

Don’t forget to protect that pretty face of yours! Lather on the sunscreen, break in your new wide brimmed hat, and bring out your stylish shades. And to protect the rest of your beautiful body, wear a cover up when you’re not in the water or wandering about seaside towns. It is so tacky to see girls walking around off the sand in just bikinis. It’s like a bright red beacon to perverted old men screaming, “Hey! Look at me! I’m young and sexy!” Sorry if I’m being offensive to anybody, but now you know.

Nail polish is always fun to toy around with, since most fun, bright shades will go with a brightly colored swimsuit like the one above. If you do decide to wear makeup, keep it light and waterproof. For an extra bit of protection, try to find foundation with SPF in it. Now, get out there and have some fun in the sun!
