Stolz sind die o2-Mitarbeiter auf ihren neuen “Medientisch”, der in Kooperation mit Microsoft und Telefonica entstanden ist. Laienhaft gesagt, handelt es sich um ein “Riesen iPoud-Touch”, ein Tisch mit einer Glasfläche, unter der 5 Infrarot-Kameras die Bewegung der Finger erkennen und ein Projektor die Bilder nach oben transportiert. Auf dem Bildschirm können mit leichten Berührungen ein Grundmenü mit Spielen aufgerufen, ein Malprogramm für Kinder gestartet oder kleine Videos zu Produkten oder Tarifen abgespielt werden, dank Multitouch kann das Bild auch in die passende Zuschauerposition gedreht werden. Als Betriebssystem kommt “Microsoft Surface” zum Einsatz. Die Applikation “Bing Maps” (das Redmonder Pendant zu Google) zoomt zu allen o2-Shops dieser Welt, da das System direkt auf das Internet zugreift, könnten auch o2-Shops in London, Prag oder Dublin angezeigt werden, derzeit ist das Angebot auf Deutschland begrenzt.

Ever since the launch of iPhone, Apple is researching and implementing multi touch technology in many of its products such as iPod touch, MacBook’s trackpad and recently Magic mouse. This feature acknowledges multiple touches at the same time on a tactile surface. Apple Magic Mouse is probably the biggest advancement in this technology for last few years. We may think that it might include more buttons, scroll wheels, etc as the traditional mouse designers do but Apple Magic Mouse is exactly the opposite. There is no visible controls or scroll wheels. It has a very simplified design, improved quality, reduced size , etc. Apple Magic Mouse does not have any cable because they are connected via Bluetooth. It is totally a minimalist. Its top side is smooth surface and has a shiny acrylic plastic and the bottom has a couple of plastic rails so that users can work on any surface. Apple Magic Mouse has a Laser-Tracking Engine, Battery compartment for two AA batteries and a power switch. It can be operated comfortably because it is more accurate using laser tracking mechanism instead of light diode and we have to only touch it with our fingertips. Apple Magic Mouse is designed to work on more number of surfaces without mouse pad. Apple Magic Mouse is totally soundless and friction sensation is reduced to minimum level for user comfort.

Apple je tvrtka poznata po brojnim inovacijama. I iako nemaju puno proizvoda, ono što imaju i ono što nude, na neki način, utjecalo je na nas, koristili mi te uređaje ili ne, te je utjecalo ili direktno ili indirektno, ali definitivno je nemoguće da nema utjecaja.

iMac

iMac je stolno računalo, izašlo 1998. godine. Kada je izašlo, bilo je revolucionarno. Način na koji je iMac promijenio svijet računala je taj da je razbijena predrasuda. Da, računala stvarno nisu morala biti siva, bež ili bijela. iMac je unio revoluciju u dizajn osobnih računala, i iako se taj utjecaj počeo preslikavati u PC svijet tek nedavno, definitivno je velik.

iMac je donio još jednu revoluciju, a to je all-in-one koncept. Zapravo je koncept računala, kao skup zasebnih dijelova povezanih kabelima, koji zajedno funkcioniraju, jako čudan. Ne postoji druga alternativa u proizvodima koja je tako zamišljena. I naravno, tu je došao Apple da to ispravi. Opet, 1998. onaj isti iMac, također je bio i all-in-one računalo, a tek nedavno ta ideja se preselila u PC svijet. Jer, PC-aši su uvidjeli kako iMac grabi sve veću popularnost, i trebali su nešto poduzeti, a to je klasika, koju je Apple opisao u jednoj rečenici “Redmond, start your photocopiers.”, samo što u ovom slučaju umjesto Microsofta, tu su proizvođači računala.

iPod

iPod je na tržište izašao 2001. godine, i također je bio revolucionaran proizvod. Proizvod koji je popularizirao MP3, te prvi uspješan MP3 player. OK, prva generacija možda nije bila baš nešto, ali to je definitivno jako utjecajan proizvod.

Da njega nije bilo, nisam siguran da bi današnje tržište MP3 playera (OK, prije godinu dana, sad slušamo glazbu sa svojih mobitela) bilo tako veliko. Naravno, tu je i ona dizajnerska strana, pa tako jako puno MP3 playera izravno podsjeća na jako popularan iPod.

O popularnosti iPoda ovdje u Hrvatskoj nije baš jednostavno govoriti, jer ga nema baš puno ljudi (više ih ima neke jeftine kineze), ali vani, definitivno je popularan.

iPhone

iPhone je na tržištu od 2007. godine, i to je jedan od najutjecajnijih Appleovih proizvoda uopće. Nakon njegovog izlaska, tržište su poplavili brojni touchscreen modeli koji su definitivno bili lošiji od iPhonea, a tek su se nedavno počeli pojavljivati malo kvalitetniji konkurenti, no iPhone nema pravog konkurenta, barem dok on do kraja ne ostvari svoj utjecaj. Ironično, ali tek kad iPhone 100% promijeni živote svih nas, onda će doći pravi konkurenti. Ne brinite, sve će se razjasniti u trenutno.

Prva iPhoneova “misija” je gotova i to je to. Posve je sigurno da će u dogledno vrijeme, touchscreen smartphonei istisnuti klasične mobitele, te će zapravo smartphone biti ono što očekujemo od najobičnijeg modela.

Druga iPhoneova “misija” trenutno je u tijeku i uspješno se provodi. Opet su svi “uključili svoje kopirke” i počeli su kopirati koncept App Storea. Odjednom, svaka platforma, polako dobiva svoje verzije App Storea (sa malo različitim imenima, npr. App Catalog) gdje korisnici vrlo jednostavno mogu updateati svoj mobitel nekom novom funkcijom, ili downloadati (kupiti) neku novu igricu.

I zadnja misija, koja će definitivno promijeniti koncept Interneta i njegovih sadržaja, po mojem mišljenju počet će se ispunjavati do kraja sljedeće godine, a vrlo vjerojatno i ranije. O čemu se radi? iPhone je prvi uređaj s kojeg je postalo normalno pristupati Internetu, i to preko 3G mreže. Dok iPhone nije izašao, nitko vjerojatno nije mislio da će uskoro moći imati YouTube, Wikipediu, ali i društvene mreže u džepu, uvijek uz vas.

Zbog iPhonea, uvedene su podatkovne tarife. U većini zemalja postoje i unlimited (flat) tarife, dok kod nas postoje one od 1, 2 i 5 GB. Definitivno dovoljno za nešto što je skoro do jučer bilo nezamislivo. Ono što će se dogoditi je, da će se ova iPhoneova ekskluziva premjestiti u normalne tarife, pa će tako postati normalno uz svaku tarifu nuditi i neki određeni podatkovni promet. Tada će Internet postati dostupan uvijek i svugdje, preko svakog mobitela, i to je ono što će nam promijeniti život. Spoznaja da Internet više nije “ekskluziva” računalnog monitora, već je to nešto što postaje dijelom života svih nas, odsada i uvijek uz nas.

Ostali utjecaji

Apple je naravno imao utjecaja i na mnoge druge stvari. Pružaju jedan od najpopularnijih načina nabave legalne glazbe, iTunes Store, koji nažalost nije još u Hrvatskoj. On je toliko promijenio tržište glazbe, a i sveukupno je utjecao na način digitalne distribucije sadržaja.

Apple je također utjecao i na Windowse. Windowsi dolaze sa wid… mislim, gadgetima, i također nude revolucionaran način indeksiranja i brze pretrage računala nazvan Spot… Windows Search. Naravno, tu je i taskbar Windowsa 7, za koji Microsoft kaže da je ideju uzeo iz svoje prve verzije Windowsa. Je, moš’ mislit. Možda samo izgled. A po tome Windows 1 imali su mogućnost manipulacije otvorenim i zatvorenim aplikacijama, postavljanje prečaca. A uostalom, cijeli taj suživot prečaca i pokrenutih aplikacija neodoljivo podsjeća na Dock, ali neeee, pa to nije Dock, jer nema onaj fancy zoom, to je ipak Windows 1 taskbar.

Budućnost

Apple toliko, utjecajima iz prošlosti (all-in-one) i sadašnjosti (iPhone, multitouch,…) zaista utječe na našu sadašnjost, a ne želim zamišljati što će se dogoditi u bližoj budućnosti (npr. sigurno poboljšanje u standardima računalnih monitora, veće rezolucije (1920×1080 na 21.5”, na to mislim , popularizacija 16:9 ekrana, a to samo što se tiče monitora, tu će se dogoditi još mnogo toga, a prvo je ono sa Internetom u džepu na svakom mobitelu. )

Za kraj, svim Apple haterima, osvrnite se malo oko sebe i vidjet ćete koliko ta, tako vam mrska tvrtka, ima utjecaja, vjerojatno i direktno na vas.

After it was hard for me to find any multitouch applications on google or bing, I decided to at least collect those I find on a list and accept submissions for that list.

Las pantallas multitáctiles consisten en una matriz de sensores ópticos que permiten obtener la posición de varios puntos de contacto sobre ella de manera simultánea. A menudo también permite calcular la presión o el ángulo de cada uno de los puntos de contacto de forma independiente, lo que permite hacer gestos e interactuar con varios dedos o manos de manera simultánea (de manera similar a los acordes de mouse) y proveer así de una interacción más rica a través de gestos mucho más intuitivos.

Dependiendo del tamaño del dispositivo, algunos de éstos son lo suficientemente grandes para que varios usuarios puedan utilizarlos de manera simultánea. Otro aspecto importante de esta técnica es que permite realizar zooms en la aplicación que se esté manejando con sólo usar dos dedos de una manera más directa que con otros dispositivos como el ratón o el estilo.

El desarrollo de esta técnica comienza en el año 1982, con un trabajo realizado por la Universidad de Toronto (tabletas digitalizadoras multitáctiles) y los laboratorios Bell (pantallas multitáctiles). El primer dispositivo comercial que utilizaba esta tecnología fue el Lemur Input Device, un controlador multimedia profesional de la compañía francesa JazzMutant que apareció en el mercado en 2005. En julio de 2007, Apple registró la palabra multi-touch junto con su iPhone. El nuevo iPod touch también incluye esta tecnología entre sus características.

The x, y position of each cursor in multitouch will be available in Flash as well as depth if provided.  This can be fed into Goose to make use of the Goose events like:

PRESS, PRESS_DOWN, PRESS_UP, PRESS_MOVE
TOUCH, TOUCH_DOWN, TOUCH_UP, TOUCH_MOVE

and Methods like

startFollow(), stopFollow()
startScale(), stopScale()

To get ready for Multitouch, you can use the Goose Emulator on a regular PC to get multitouch data without the need for a multitouch device.  The emulator will feed your Goose code for processing.  Then when you are ready to move to a multitouch platform, just feed the real data into the same Goose code for processing!

47-inch multitouch display, touting Full HD (or 1920 x 1080) resolution and “Integrated-Through-Screen-Optics,” which allow it to recognize an unlimited number of simultaneous inputs. The ONE also features haptic feedback and is compatible with Windows 7’s multitouch features right out of the box, with support for some “other OS” also planned. If you’re thinking this looks like a legit competitor to Microsoft’s Surface, well, you’d be right.

normalerweise ist es ja nicht die Art von diesem Blog über neue Hardware zu berichten, aber in diesem Fall muss ich einfach mal von meinem neuen Traum-Notebook, dem Acer 1820PT berichten, dass nun (endlich!) so langsam in die Shops dieses Internets wandert und vorbestellt werden kann mit einer angegebenen Lieferdauer von 2-3 Wochen

Was ist daran so toll? Nunja: Multitouch, Convertible, “echter” Core 2 Duo, 4GB RAM, Bluetooth – an sich alles was das Herz begehrt – und das noch zu einem “Netbookartigen” Preis von 600€. Ich warte sehr gespannt und werde es mir bei Erscheinen garantiert schnell zulegen

Windows 7 lansmanını geride bıraktık… Windows 7 lansmanı 450 civarının da bir katılımcı sayısına ulaştı. Bu sayede 7 bölgede ki 7 üniversitede yapılan lansmanların içinde en çok katılımın olduğu lasnman unvanını alarak bu alandaki rekor üniversitemizde kırılmış oldu.

Muammer Benzeş’in sunumuyla lasmanda renkli dakikalar yaşandı. Windows 7 nin yeni özelliklerinden bahsedilirken katılımcılar kimi zamanlarda heyecanlarını saklayamadı. En çok ilgiyi ise MultiTouch özelliği çekti ve MultiTouch destekli oyunlar çok büyük ilgi topladı.

Etkinliğin en renkli dakikaları ise hediye çekilişi sırasında oldu. Bir kişiye Windows 7 yüklü Netbook ve bir kişiye de Microsoft Press kitap seti hediye edildi. Tabi ki de hediyeler bunlarla sınırlı değildi tüm katılımcılara Windows 7 kalemi, not defteri ve Windows 7 atkısı hediye edilerek tamamlandı.

Ancak IT PRO’lar unutulmamıştı ve etkinliğin hemen ardından Windows 7’nin IT PRO’ları ilgilendiren boyutuyla devam etti.

Rekoruyla, hediyeleriyle, kısacası tüm yönleriyle başarılı ve katılan herkesin mutlulukla ayrıldığı bir etkinlik oldu.
