Il mio gruppo preferito, i Pet Shop Boys, ha annunciato qualche giorno fa che nell’EP natalizio ci sarà una cover di Viva la vida dei Coldplay, il mio secondo gruppo preferito.

Nel frattempo su iheartradio si può trovare una sessione acustica dei Coldplay registrata lo scorso luglio a Los Angeles.

Heard about this British electro-pop duo through a playlist from UO and also from iTunes. La Roux is singer/songwriter Elly Jackson and keyboard/producer Ben Langmaid. La Roux means “red-haired one” in French – a reference to Elly’s ‘do, no doubt.

“Bulletproof” is the band’s third single. Besides enjoying the music, I liked the music video’s clean, black and white geometric graphics that had splashes of color every now and then. It looks very futuristic, but I feel it also has an eighties undertone to it (perhaps because the music is reminiscent of the time period too). One of my favorite scenes is when 3-D geometric shapes start falling around Elly – very graceful and beautiful.
