Here is the Alicia Keys performance for ”Try Sleeping With A Broken Heart” on the American Music Awards this past Sunday, November 21st on ABC.

Despite towards the middle the obvious move jacking of Ciara’s “Promise” video and not quite understanding what the guy was doing in the entire sequence (dude looked like he was about to mug her), I liked the performace. Keys’ vocals were strong and on point; her outfit was fly, especially that jacket and she made sure she had men and women drooling with her hip game (her shape is crazy sick).

I am beyond stoked that we get Phoenix at this year’s Almost Acoustic Christmas. I actually fell in love with them when I saw their performance on SNL. After that, I really got into Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix and “Lisztomania” quickly became my favorite song on the album. Just listen to an album and commit some of your time to doing so and eventually, the songs pick you. Here’s an awesome acoustic version of “Lisztomania” for you to enjoy before seeing live at ACX in a few weeks:

I was in the SU bar when a music video came onto the TV, it was really cool and all made out of paper and using stop motion. This isn’t that video! Because the music wasn’t on I have no idea what song it was and I missed the beginning of the video so I couldn’t read who it was by/what it was called. I had a look online to see if I could find it – I couldn’t, I did find this video though and thought it was equally cool looking. No idea what the music is like but I love how the video looks enough not to care!

Dayyuumm, this boy got skills, no I mean seriously he does! He composed and wrote his own songs. I’m totally loving him now..he’s soo underrated (in a good way) and sooo real, you know..even Tablo said this album is the Best…besides his own…In the other scenes where there’s not that much lighting he kinda looks like Crown j with the glasses on…..This boy gonna go to the WORLD!

Oh sweet mercy, y’all.  It’s the day before Thanksgiving, so HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVE!  I hope that you, like me, are making like a competitive eater and stuffing your face with whole heads of lettuce so you can stretch out ample room in your stomach for that extra slice of pumpkin pie.  After all, not taking seconds on dessert is what we call “exercising moderation,” and I’m pretty sure that’s a federal offense on Thanksgiving.
