For this interview, my partner and I interviewed the new WSOE general manager and found it to be a success. During the set up of our shoot, the bulb for the rifa light blew (so that was a disappointment). We had a key light on her and a fill light and also a hair light. I camera that we used was a PDX-10 camera and we had the interview with the red background of the WSOE wall painting. Our entire interview was about 15 minutes and we recorded about 20 minutes of b-roll. For the editing process, I deleted a lot of “ums” and awkward pauses but for the most part, I covered the edits with b-roll footage. We also found music from Killertracks to place under the Julie’s audio.

I also posted still photos,because in the video I couldn’t think straight.  My kids were under my feet while I was trying to film this,so excuse  the jumping around!! I will hopefully be doing more videos soon. Bear with me,I’m still learning!! This is the first edited video that’s part of a continuation of the labeling project (background info is available on other parts of this blog). So far, in this video, I have only trimmed the original clips (I think there were about 50 individual videos). This is my first video piece, so it has been a little daunting. There are also satisfactory moments. In the beginning, I was too stubborn and reluctant to look at tutorials to help me edit, although I had no clue (still clueless) about what I was doing. I am currently working on the sound (adding and subtracting tracks). After that, I will work on transitioning. And finally, hopefully, I will adjust the overall appearance of the final piece. However, progression toward finalization is contingent upon responses from my Master Critique class next week.

As video shooting and editing is one of my main hobbies, I would like to share with you some of my footage and short videos I’ve worked on in 2009. I use the following two cameras for shooting video:

• Canon EOS 5D Mark II – This is one of the first professional photography cameras that can also shoot 1080P High Definition video. The beauty of this camera is that you can use a huge selection of different lenses on the camera to shoot video including IS (Image Stabilizer) lenses. Another great feature is that for the first time you can use a full frame 35mm sensor built in the camera to shoot video with. The 35mm SMOS sensor which is very large compared to other professional video cameras allows you to shoot in very low light without decrease in quality or other artifacts (like heavy noise) which is associated with professional video cameras that have sensors that are typically 1/3 – 2/3 of an inch.

• Sony XDCAM EX1 – This is a mid-range professional video camera which uses a recording format called XDCAM with a 35Mbps bit-rate and records on special high-speed memory cards called SxS. The camera can record in 1080P High Definition and 720P as well.

“You need to concentrate on working behind the camera so you may not be a main actor in your film.”

For this silent movie we used music from KillerTracks and applied it to our footage. We filmed the movie backwards. We completed the fight scene first then worked our way to the filming the beginning last. The most challenging part for myself was finding sound effects that went along with some of the fight scenes. Also, we used Photoshop to create some of the fight scene splits with advice from friends.

Our one actor, who played the robber, hurt his shoulder during his fall. The clip where he fell was his second try falling.

Tapi setelah  seorang emo merasakan sakit hati seorang emo tak akan meperdulikan siapa dia yang membuat sakit hati atau (TIDAK MAU KENAL LAGI). Menurut ku emo tu jiwa ku. emo adalah penuntun gaya hidup ku.

walaupun g ad yang setuju aku seperti emo. . .MASA BODOH!! Emo bagi ku adalah kehidupan yang layak dan banyak insert2 yang menakjubkan. untuk emo2 yang hanya berpenampilan diRAMBUT  aja mending g usah bergaya. namamu merusak citra emo sesungguhnya di belahan dunia ini.

klo loe emang emo bener2 emo tunjukan denagn kasih cinta yang sebenarnya. Dan jika loe emo tunjukan solidaritas mu terhadap sesama. EMO + PUNK = FRIENDSHIP.

This is pretty awesome! Sissy took this one at school. He is really cruising in the beginning, but then he gets stuck and totally gives up, watch his body language! Poor little guy, Caylee didn’t know it then, but he was sick, he threw up just an hour or so later. Poor Pooh Bear!

I love the way this gait trainer moves with him so fluidly! He is getting to be a speed demon in it! I LOVE it!

The first time out in public in the Kidwalk. Josh saw every square foot of Old Navy, a couple of times over! LOL! He LOVED it and was the most motivated he’s been in it yet!!! Definitely loved having the FREEDOM to go and see whatever HE wanted to see! Way to go Pooh Bear, mama is so PROUD of you!!!!
